AAA Backflow Testing

My backflow preventer was leaking, and a plumber told me it was going to be $1800 to replace the entire unit. I decided to call an expert and reached out to AAA. John answered immediately and offered to come out and repair it, but mentioned that based on my description of the problem I could probably just do it myself so he wouldn't have to charge me. He spent time on the phone with me walking through the fix, and 10 minutes later my problem was solved using a wrench and a screwdriver--without even needing any new parts!

A business that wants to save you money and doesn't simply charge you as much as they can is so rare -- it takes real integrity. Needless to say I will be calling John when I need to have my annual test performed, and highly suggest you do the same! Thanks again John!

My former testing company stopped doing testing; I had used them only because they were contracted through the sprinkler system after installation a few years ago, so off I had to go to the city website to find a new one - weeding through company names, locations, etc. - no substantive information for making a choice. It was great fortune (and perhaps an obviously clever company naming choice) that AAA Backflow was in the batch of the first few companies I looked up here on Yelp, and the reviews clearly pushed me in their favor. Even though I couldn't connect directly with John when I called, their online scheduling process was seamless and I was able to schedule to my convenience. Ben who came for the service call was  spot on-time, courteous, clearly knowledgable, pleasant, friendly, familiar with my monitoring company and service, fast, efficient...I could go on and on, but I think enough said. Can't recommend highly enough; have suggested to my former service they should refer their customers directly. They likely won't, but I sure would.

These guys are great.  Reasonable, trustworthy and easy to work with.  Been using them for 7years and they make it effortless with the paperwork to the city.
Each year they contact me, do the testing and take care of filing the report.

This is an excellent vendor for completing the annual SF mandated backflow testing.  I have been using AAA since my building was new (8 years) and they are prompt and efficient and easy to work with.  The appointment online with a follow-up reminder email and the reliable, friendly and knowledgeable service make this a winning combination.

Convenient, quick, and friendly! You can book an appointment on their website, which is super handy. I booked a next-day appointment, no problem. They also send an email reminder. So many plumbers, electricians, and other service providers don't have these kinds of booking tools, and it makes a big difference. Needing to call and try to get someone on the phone can be a hassle; booking this appointment online was the easiest thing I did all day.

Kelly Poole came to our building and was the nicest, jolliest, friendliest fellow. I left him alone to do his testing. The whole thing took about 10 minutes. All in all, barely any effort needed on my part to get that looming city requirement done and dusted! So glad to have found these guys!

Great and painless experience! I scheduled my appointment through the website which was quick and easy.  Then Bob was quick to respond to confirm the time and to make sure I knew what part of our building I would need to give him access to on the day of the testing.  

On the morning of our appointment, Bob texted to let me know his ETA. He was punctual, efficient, friendly, and took care of all the filing with the city so I didn't have to do anything!

Bob was very flexible with scheduling my back flow test.  He was prompt and was also very efficient  with his time (and mine).  He filed all the necessary paperwork for me and sent me a copy via e-mail.  The guy is quite knowledgeable and even offered advice on an unrelated problem I had which proved very helpful.

If you don't know what backflow testing is and really just want to deal with that letter you got from the city as quickly and easily as possible with a minimum of hassle, you really should just call AAA Backflow Testing. Bob returns calls, responds to emails, will give you an invoice over email and will show up on time. I called multiple places listed on the dept. of health's website and wasn't called back by any of them. Then I called AAA Backflow Testing, got a call back, exchanged emails, and the next day the test was done. It really couldn't have been easier, that's why everyone including me is giving 5 stars.

I 100% recommend AAA Backflow Testing. I called Bob on a Thursday afternoon, and he was able to come out the same day. He's a nice guy and walked me through what exactly backflow testing was, since I had no idea. He ended up explaining to me all about my plumbing and radiant heating system, gave me contact info for folks at  the San Francisco Water Quality Bureau to get my contact info updated. All-in-all, he went well above and beyond the call of duty. A great experience.

SFPUC requires annual backflow testing at our home. Bob and Kelly at AAA Backflow are professional, show up on time and get the job done. I book appointments using AAA's online calendar, which is very easy to use. Each year I get a reminder e-mail from AAA when it's time to make an appointment.
