Would not use this company again, responded to an ad in the local paper and had nothing but problems with them. Showed up late and a short inspection was told I needed to replace my whole heating system. I later found out from another company that this was not true and only needed a failed part to be replaced. I also learned from other neighbors that this company has a history of defrauding the Senior residents of Lytle Creek. I was also told that the Lytle Creek Community Center was also a victim of being over changed for for work that was done and will not use them again.

After  Trevor ( I think he is Diagnostic/Sales tech)   came down ,( right away, which was great) , we agreed on removing our air conditioner and replacing it with brand new one the next day . We parted with pleasantries  but reiterated, to pls make sure  we will have air conditioner that same night they remove our old one, as my kids has asthma and can't be without air. He said, I will do my best. I repeated my  our need for the air conditioner,  and he said okay.  The next day, the techs came , and they really worked hard in the heat, bless their hearts.  We kept offering them ice  cold bottled water and patio umbrella to at least cool them off. Then after  they removed the old unit, they said they were leaving. I told them Trevor agreed  that  we will have air conditioner by night time. The techs repeated, and very direct to the point but apologetic that the office only told them to come and take down the old unit.  I told them , it was not their fault but that I wish Trevor and the office was as direct to the point to me about, having , or not having air condioner by the end of the day. I called the office, I was met with cold shoulders.  I called Trevor, who sounded so busy , and told me he is going to call the office  and will work something out.  I am not sure if he called me back, but by the  of the day,  we didn't have our air conditioner and had to book a hotel the last minute and spent the night there, after already spending 2 nights at home without aircondioner. Fast forward next day, they finally put up the new air conditioner,  and the techs were great . I was happy and thankful and had already forgotten our misery and stressful calls I had to make with Trevor and the office personnel who  were not helpful and made u feel like you are bothering them . But then I noticed our door to the laundry room,(where the attic is) deeply scraped in several places that  sanding and painting them won't fix it. I called Trevor, they sent techs and picked up the door and was told it'll be back in 2 days. I told them  to pls make sure it's back in 2 days, as I have Asthmatic kids and it's a door to the laundry room  upstairs they are taking.  That was Thursday. It's Monday now and the office didn't seem so eager to help and find out what us going on with our door , until I mentioned the social media and Yelp. Trevor wasn't answering our calls and my texts until this late PM, which incidentally, I mentioned social medias. We still don't have the door as of posting.

Called a local business to check out my ac which wasn't working.  Was given an appt next day between 11-1p. Tech showed up and check ac.  Check unit then started sales pitch about getting a Maintenance plan and that will save on repairs.  Had a leak in system, but could not I'd unless they performed an leak test. Cost would be over 1000 dollars before they would before any repairs. If they found and repaired leak there was the cost of parts plus 125 dollars per pound of Freon.  System holds about 10 pounds.  Would be over 1000 dollars just for Freon.  Cost for r410 Freon is about 450 dollars for 25 lb cyl.  Then on quote tech claims whole system is installed wrong and everything needs to replace and any repair would have no warranty.  Be aware with this company and get a second opinion elsewhere.  Called another ac business and had a leak test performed for 200 dollars and found the leak in less than a hour.

I had Trevor come and inspect our AC and though I am glad Aavco was able to come at a short notice, I was hoping that they would detect the issue and try to repair my AC problem without trying to make a sale.  I know that our AC is patched up but right away Trevor said that all, AC, furnace and duct needed replacement, which surprised me because our AC unit is 2 years old. That is not the biggest issue, I do agree that certain areas do need replacing, but in order for him to try to fix the problem and get the AC running for now he wanted to charge a minimum of $341 to over 1,000.  Depending on he plan we purchased.  And he didn't guaranteed that what ever he would do at that moment would make the AC work.  This turned out to be strictly a sales call which disappointed me very much. Either way I paid $59 for their diagnosis which in reality didn't tell me what the problem was. YES... I feel like I wasted time and money.  It turns out that the next day my brother-in-law went to Home Depot and bought the parts to start it.  At the end, Trevor wouldn't give me an estimate to replace the ducts and furnace because I would compare quotes with others.  Well, isn't that what the consumer should do??? I want an honest company repairing my problems not trying to get my hard earned dollars.  I will not be using them anymore.

Aavco was great all the way from Jacob  to Tom & his crew.  When Jacob came out to check our HVAC he had taken video of our unit & inside our attic of the ducts.  When he returned to give us an estimate he showed us the videos & was very polite & no pressure selling.
Tom & his crew were so polite & considerate of our home & privacy.  It was good to see & hear them enjoying doing their job.  I would truly recommend that you ask for both Jacob & Tom & his crew for the work.

Watch out for this company! They tell you what you want to hear in order to make a installation sale! Six years ago AVCCO sold us a BRAND NEW air conditioning system. We paid $6,000 for this unit. We were told by AVVCO that the unit came with a 10 year warranty. Recently after 6 years of service the compressor went out. AVVCO came out to our home and inspected the unit and told us that it would cost us $1,700 to replace the compressor. When we asked AVCCO about the 10 year warranty, AVCCO told us that the warranty only covered defects on the unit and not the cost of their labor. This is absurb!!! How can a company get away with charging customers $1,700 in order to have your warranty honored? A 10 year warranty should mean just that....10 YEAR WARRANTY! Just be aware when you do business with this company, you read the fine print on your contract! And do not rely on their salesman's selling pitch!!!!!!!!!!!!

They  sold and installed a supposedly brand new air conditioning unit  in our house  almost 2 years ago and we had all kinds of trouble with it since. This is only the second summer since the purchase , and we had so much more AC problem the last 2 years than the first 17 years we owned our house .Tonight,  we are sitting in 85 degree house and noone is answering AAVCO' s phone,  both the office and the tech's phone.

I had a service performed on my mini split unit today by Jeremy and Leo.  They were both very professional and got the job done.  Prior to leaving, they made sure I was pleased with the repair.  I was.  I recommend Aavco to anyone looking to have a mini split unit installed.

Less than one year ago, this company serviced my A/C because the air was not cool. Now the same issue happened again. The charge was higher than the market price. Think again before you use such a service!

I contacted this company using Yelp and they were responsive, made an appt quickly and gave us an affordable quote. If you're looking for a company that works on dryer vents and ducting for the dryer, this is the right company!

Worst service ever. Had them over to maint our two ac units. After looking at the units for 2 minutes. He went in the attic and took apart my heater unit to show me it had small leaks and I need to replace it! He then simply wrote on a small piece of paper how much he wanted to charge me for upgrade and maintenance on my units to the tune of over $ 500 to replace the capacitors $25 part, the contactor $20 part. Then an extra capacitor for the condensor start up 25 part. They are trying to rip people off. Worst company ever.

When I called for an appointment, the waiting time over the phone was very reasonable.  I explained that I had bought a Groupon  for a  preventive maintenance on my two-year old cooling and heating system.  They told me they could come out the following day, but I told them to schedule it the following week.  The day before the appointment, they called me up to remind me .

Joseph Yanez, the technician who came to do the work was very courteous, friendly, knowledgeable and professional, answering every question I asked regarding his work and my AC system.  He came in and immediately wore a cloth foot cover that I told him he did not need, as ours is a laminate flooring. After he was done in less than an hour, he came in to explain the things he did and the amperage readings he obtained when he tested our AC.  Then he showed me lots of photos that he took of my system and pointed to me some things he thought were odd or out of place.  He also left everything spotless just like before he started the work.  And I did not see any extra screws lying around either.  To prolong the life of my system, he also offered me three regular maintenance packages, which I thought were very reasonable. I greatly appreciate that he did not pressure me to make a purchase.

Unlike other contractors that charged me more than I paid for with the Groupon, I was not charged an additional penny.

For what it cost me and the quality of the work I am very happy overall.  I highly recommend them.

I came back from summer vacation and my AC stopped working the next day. My home warranty was not able too get anyone out here soon enough but gave me authorization to find my own company.  AAvco had time for me.  They sent out Trevor, the most professional tech I've met in a while.  Greeted with a smile and very knowledgeable.  Diagnosed the problem spoke with home owners insurance to get authorization. This was on a Friday evening.  Aavco sent Doug another technician out to repair blower motor on Monday.  He was quick and efficient. I only wish it could have been fixed the same or next day it was diagnosed, but I believe part had to come from warehouse.  Trevor made every effort to make sure I was a top priority with scheduling. I'm back comfortable with cool air in my home. Thanks Aavco!

Had them install cooling units for my rental properties, Friday wrong equipment was sent or ordered. I was ok with that they let me know and said Monday installation would be done in the am before 1pm.  I was ok with that as well went there around 1pm nobody shows up I called the salesman no call back at all called the office and they said their guys are booked and they will try to get out there on Monday to install.  When they finished they don't even call and let me know it was done all this would have been avoided if they just picked up the phone and called to let me know what was going on which they never did.  Lack of professionalism on them if I could give them a negative star I would.  Also asked them to check another unit about about cooling unit they said the would guess what they didn't do it saying they had no time again call and let me know two days I had to follow up to see what was going on and nothing happened

Had them come out to fix my AC in the summer. So I knew it was going to be $$$ and it was $900+ for parts and labor to fix.  There sell was if I paid for it  I would have a credit on new system within 6 mo.  So I had them come out to give me a estimate on new unit.  Which they gave me a idea during the repair of $2500 approx.  four months later the the bill is $3300 and he tells me I need a new heater for $7000.  Be aware of the bate a switch practice and the scams of checking components and to jack the prices up on using  fear sales tactics. Even if you get promises in writing not worth the paper it's on.

I understand level Pay plans. This has nothing to do with that. A credit and discount are two different things. If I give you $1000 to hold for me and then I purchase a AC unit. If we agree on a price and I decide to use my credit, that should have no bearing on price. Doesn't mean you raise the price up to account for the credit. This is a integrity issue.  You can see from emails and text msg on the promise of credit,the agreement of new unit and what I had to pay at the end. I responded to their add in the newspaper, and they said that we were outside of their service area.  Their service area was advertised as 30 mikes, which is definitely further out than where I live.  The person on the phone took a very long time trying to answer basic questions, and was uninterested in actually answering questions.  This was a horrible experience.  This is not a good service provider.

Just got some plumbing issues resolved. Josh Broh came out, good guy, very friendly and polite. Was able to fix the screw up that some other plumbing company did to my shower. Also had a clogged sink that my landlord took over 2 weeks to finally get someone to look at. Josh did a good job tho. Even cleaned up after himself, was very professional. Double checked all his work. No complaints.

I have to say that this company definitely hires individuals with exquisite professionalism and vast amount of knowledge. The technician, Michael, arrived and was extremely helpful in explaining what other technicians were unable to do as well as get the job done in a timely manner. He was equipped with up to date equipment and the trade as well as the values and integrity which I deeply admired. Not too long ago, I ran into him at the grocery store and he remembered me. He asked me how everything was working out. It was good to know that the customer service he provided extended beyond the work day. Thank you Michael.

I had Trevor come out to do maintenance check and see if I needed new thermostat and during the check he took a picture of my condenser tubes which were getting worn starting to discolor.  He warned me that if they continue to wear they could get a hole and result in carbon monoxide.  He showed me different packages and I decided on a whole new heater but the simplest one.  I felt it was worth it and got a new thermostat in the bargain.  They got me set up with credit plan and came out the next day to install it.  They went out of their way to clean out the closet it was installed in which was pretty bad.  All in all they were very professional and helpful.  Thank you Trevor, Tom, John and Matthew.  Hope I remembered your names right.

AAVCO came in and promised me substantial cooling in my mostly windows house. They upsold me on a 16 SEER system, handed me a pamphlet showing me all the features of the Goodman 16 SEER. I liked the sales guy, so I did a handshake agreement-with very little details written in the contract-you'd think I would know better.

Anyway they installed a cheaper system than the one I was sold on. We caught them, and they installed the correct system. But the house was not cooling. Then they start saying oh your ducts are sub-par, and that's why the house wasn't cooling. So for additional money I pay for new ducting. Later, they say the windows are the problem. You mean the same windows that were here when you told me how cool my house was going to be-at the beginning?

Further, the sales guy tells me it impossible to certify the SEER rating.

House still isn't cooling. After new unit and ducting. They rig the AC unit to run, but pull out the mainboard...or something like that... to keep it running. House still isn't cooling. The trust is gone and I am skeptical due to the previous bait and switch so...

I switch providers, and go to Steve's Air Conditioning. They show me that AAVCO had our 5 ton unit running at 3 ton capacity. The pump was impeded, and the airflow was bottlenecked at the air intake/filter and a new thermostat was necessary. They replaced the mainboard, and thermostat. Put in a filter system, and fixed the ducting. House is cooling great.

There are some places that take no pride and pleasure in doing a good job, and making clients happy, AAVCO is one of them. For a very similar price, Steve's AC came out and did a super quality job.

I called this company out to give me an estimate for a small leak that I had coming from a hose bib.
5 minutes into the visit we were told it would be $5,200 minimum for repairs .
We kindly asked their estimator to get out of our house.
I have a repairman here right now fixing this issue for $300.

If I could give negative stars I would!!!! I purchased my home in May 2018, during inspection we were advised by the Certified Inspector the AC unit was not working properly and not getting as cold as he would like.

(Prior to my purchase)
4/4/11 4 ton AC unit installed (10 year warranty)
10/18/11 AC not cooling freon added duct sealed to start collars on plenum and holes patched in plenum
7/21/17 New Voltage renovation and recharge of system
4/24/18 Inspection issue
5/3/18 the previous owners had Trevor come out to check the unit at which time he advised the unit was working perfectly and there were no issues.
7/20/18 SURPRISE the AC stopped blowing cold Air. In looking through all the paperwork AAVCO advised 2 months prior the AC unit was working perfectly come to find out they also installed this unit originally so I opted to call them and inquire if they could come out (not knowing how shady they were) so out they come, invoice says AC not cooling 4 ton unit AC found system struggling on start up install performance enhancement kit. $387.00 later we had AC; however, were informed it was a fix and would only last a few months (I'm sorry what, you were asked to fix the unit not bandaid it). Unit was under warrenty however instead of doing the right thing they took the quickest shortcut possible. We left for a 7 day vacation (no usage of the AC)
7/31/18 AC stops working AGAIN so I call the HW company and ask for a different company to come out. Upon his arrival and inspection I am informed of the following:
*AAVCO who originally installed the unit for the previous owners did a poor job with the ducting
* the condenser was bad and should have been replaced instead of the installation of the performance enhancement kit
*When the unit was replaced brand new 4/4/11 the coil was not replaced (that's why it's not colder)
7/19/19 TODAY.....AC stopped blowing cold air SHOCKER upon having another AC company come out it was immediately identified the performance enhancement kit that AAVCO installed was installed upside down (how do we know that you ask? It says right on the device this side up) what does this mean? The incorrect installation of the kit caused it to continuously keep working and short out. Short out it did COMPLETELY, the AC unit is now garbage and needs to be replaced. It will be 104 on Monday I am beyond upset and frustrated. NOTE: AC was used Aug Sept 2018 then not again until June and July 2019. We got exactly 4 month out of the kit as stated because they intentionally installed it incorrectly to get repeat business.

BUYER BEWARE do not use this company, I have not spoken with one nice person. Trevor was rude and demeaning when I spoke with him about his fraudulent invoice in 2018. Knowing very well they took advantage of the elderly old couple on multiple occasions. I will never use them or refer them to anyone. They should be ashamed of themselves knowing their services are needed they knowingly take advantage of people. If it was a one time issue I could POSSIBLY understand but this happen on several occasions with he previous elderly owners. Do your research don't settle for mediocre work!

I contacted AAVCO and they sent John out who was very thorough in his diagnosis and resolution of our issue. John went above and beyond his skills and knowledge to make recommendations about our AC and heating infrastructure all while maintaining a consistent plan about how to best approach our issue and resolve it in a timely manner. We have a cat who loves to climb things and that day when John was here, our cat decided to climb his ladder into our attic while John was completely unaware. We'd like to especially thank him for getting involved in rescuing our cat.  We couldn't imagine losing our cat. John was professional, had a great sense of humor and we greatly appreciate the multiple roles he played that day as AC tech and cat savior. I would definitely contact AAVCO again in the future and use their services.

My wife back when lost her husband and needed help with her water heater. Now I am the wife and I was hurt.i had to pay 300.00 for service.so I did.as I had the men do service I was asked am I married. I said no.my husband passed of cancer and I need there help.gas company was going to shut my water heater off.they said we can fix that.so I called gas Co man back.he put do not use.who did I call?are they licensed.i showed yes.he said worsted work ever.they came back twice.i knew  was worste.i redid the heater with my friend and passed.i payed the price.be careful. Read carefully what you sign.whole house is repiped.and new everything. We are blessed.hurt yes.but be careful.being a woman who looses a husband is hard.to get you know is the worste.just be safe.and elderly too.if you own home.no they can't take it.they put that in back in small letters.ask and look around and have another person with you that understands more than what I did.thank you.

I am shocked by the previous reviews and am happy to write a raving review. We have our water heaters checked by AAVCO each year at the same time and they come if we donate 5 cans of food to their company for families in need.

They flushed out our water heater and we asked the technician to fix our garbage disposal/ sink. He fixed both problems, cleaned up after himself and was HIGHLY professional. I have 2 kids and felt comfortable with him in our home.

When our water heaters do go out, I won't hesitate to call them for service.

I would recommend this company to anyone in this area. Thank you AAVCO for your service today!

I had a leak from the underground irrigation pipe that went undetected for more than a month. When I called AAVCO one evening and left a message with the answering service, they got back to me within a few minutes and scheduled a visit for next morning. Within 3 working days, the issue was detected and fixed. Technicians Javier and Kevin were very knowledgeable and prompt with their work. They were also pleasant and professional.  My sister has been using this company for a few years now. So far I'm happy with their service m and hope that my impression  does not change in future.

I called for an air conditioning check up and water heater issues. I was able to get an appointment the next day. Both the AC Tech, Jeremy, and the plumber, Javier, showed up on time and were very professional and helpful.
Javier completed the plumbing issues and fixed 2 sinks the same day.
The air conditioning needed some extra work and Jeremy was back the next day early and worked to compete the work and change out all the vents. He cleaned up after and the new vents look great and are quiet.
Request Jeremy for AC and Javier for plumbing, they did good work, and were very open about the expenses and concerns with the AC and water heater

VERY UNPROFESSIONAL!!! Called Celi to make an appointment for a Thursday 5 pm, I cancelled all my personal appointments for 4-5 pm that day to wait for their technician. Thursday 5 pm came, still no technician. I called AAVCO to F/U, older lady Cindy answered the phone. Cindy stated the they would not be able to do it that day and rescheduled the following week. Following week came, waited for their technician, guess what? Still no technician. Called them up to see what's going on, another lady (not Celi or Cindy) answered and stated that they won't be able to do it that day, by this time I was furious! I asked for the owner, guess what? HE was not available. To make the long story short, after 3 failed attempts they finally got to service my water tank. I'M NEVER GOING TO USE YOU GUYS AGAIN! Furthermore, DO NOT USE GROUPON for this service, AAVCO will just shrug you off and would make you least priority.

I do not have a copy of the options you are referring to. Please give me a copy for my records. You obviously don't understand my complaint. I'll put it in a different way.

Is it appropriate for your company to give a price to a customer which clearly does not fix the problem? If the problem is that most all of the air is going into 3 small rooms (25% of the total area) which freezes anyone that goes into them and very little air is going into 4 very large rooms (75% of the total area) which is too hot for anyone to live in during the summer, then who in their right mind would give me a price to produce more air. It would only exasperate the problem. I clearly understood that the price you gave me was to fix this problem, which Jacob refused to do. As such, I was forced to shut down the project immediately.

How did Jacob give me an option to fix this problem (as you stated) when he never even looked in the attic (which I found out later)?

Summary: The final fix for the problem was two couplings, one Y fitting and 10 foot of ducting at a material cost of $120.00 plus one hour of labor for a total of a couple hundred dollars. The main reason why I am warning the public about your company is that I had to instruct Jacob and his technician on how to complete this simple fix for a very large problem. Again stay away.

Aavco does all my repairs and services and today was another great example of there great customer service and professionalism. There technician Trevor came out to do my service my unit and right at the door I was greeted professionally. Trevor was very thorough in his inspection and clean. He took his time to make sure he inspected everything and made sure to document all possible problems and watch outs.  After the inspection and service Trevor sat down with me and gave me all possible ways to resolve my issues and explained why he recommended all. Service like this is one of the many reasons I always call on Aavco.

We purchased an older home with no hvac and an old water heater.
A Avco came out and gave a great estimate for a heating and air conditioning unit, tankless water heater and water purifier. The installation was managed by Jacob and his team, he is a great salesman and he is dedicated in his work. He was very knowledgeable, patiently answered all of our many many questions and worked with our schedule which was greatly appreciated. Everyone so far at A Avco has been great to work with Clint has been great with follow up questions, or needed service calls. We are very excited to have worked with A Avco and plan to use them for any future plumbing, heating or air needs. Our family would absolutely recommend them.

Professional, friendly and qualified technicians.  Always my go to service professionals for my plumbing and heating needs.  First time usage was for my water heater about 3 years ago.. Best price and impeccable install.  Most recent was furnace replacement. Oscar and Mario were outstanding . Installed and  ensured space cleaned after install.  Then Leo came , the icing on the cake. Replaced my duct covers within an hour. Quality job professional and excellent install.

When your 23 year old son ask about it he company and says nothing but good things.. you know you have done good.  Thanks my AAVCO family.

I decided to give this place my business cause the are local and wanted to support small businesses in my area, they are literally two blocks away from my house!!!
Once a couple of years ago I called and set up an appointment and what do you know, no one ever shows or reaches out to me to notify me or even reschedule. What a bummer huh ???
Well today I went to their website and scheduled an appointment online for today around 10:00a.m.. Well wouldn't you know it ...of course once again no one shows or calls.
Poor business manners and crappy customer service !!!!
Will not be trying to support them again !!!

Our sink flooded the cabinetry and we couldn't tell where from... then Michael arrived! I cannot say enough positives about the quality of service, professionalism, friendliness. Just wonderful! Had an appointment time between 11am-1pm. After 1pm I call them and they say the person is still coming to give a quote. It is now 3 hours later and the person still hasn't showed up and no call from the company. They also told me it would be $59 for the quote but on here I see it says free. This company is unreliable and has terrible communication. Wasted a day trying to wait for them.

Would not recommend this company. They tried to update me on their different packages to get my system running properly. Anywhere from 800 to 1600 bucks. I called for a second opinion and a $60 part got it running efficiently. They were super unorganized, Had multiple people in the office trying to schedule an appointment, even after I already scheduled the appointment. All-around just not a good experience.

Picture this. Saturday afternoon 95 outside thermostat sat at 73 house now 78 and climbing! Called left a message. Shortly after I get a call from Jacob, I can get to you later this evening. I say awesome thank you! He called back....I'm actually in your neighborhood I can be there in 10 min! I hadn't had the a/c serviced  since the install 4 years ago! He had to recharge my system, checked for leaks and I was back in service 30 minutes later! Jacob was absolutely amazing! Can't thank him enough!

Wow. I can't say enough to warn you away from this company! First of all the technician who showed up was a fast talking used car salesman type. He started out claiming my entire heating and cooling system was old and needed to be replaced to the tune of 4500 bucks. You're on borrowed time!
It's a ticking time bomb in there!
This whole thing is going to go out next week when it's 110 degrees and you won't be able to get us back here for weeks!

When he saw there was no way in hell I was making those kinds of repairs he cut the bill to 2000 dollars and said at the very least I had to replace the outside a/c unit because the condenser was out.

I asked him several times if there was a cheaper fix for now, some kind of band aid just to get us through the summer. Yes, our a/c unit is old and we know it should be replaced, but we don't have that kind of money to spend right now and it's hot and we're dying!
He said there was nothing else to be done, we HAD to replace the whole unit.

After he left I had another company out (A-1 Quality in Apple Valley) who told me that all I needed is a new motor for around 400 bucks.

Thanks for trying to rip me off AAVCO!

Possibly the worst company I've ever had to deal with. The AC in my office is broken. I called AvCo to come fix because they were an approved vendor through the company I work for.  They've been out over a dozen times and have not fixed the AC. They don't communicate what's going on, they say they'll be there in the morning and show up in the evening. I've spoke to the owner and still nothing. The techs don't know what they're doing. No follow up or call to let me know what the problem is. I've requested we use a new company. This is the most frustrating experience I've encountered. It's hot and these guys are suppose to be professionals. They have no idea what they're doing and their customer service is non existent. Save yourself the headache and find someone else if you're looking for an AC company.

The whole staff at AAVCO were very professional and courteous, especially Fred and Jacob.  Fred was the supervisor I contacted when comparing plumbing services for this project.  He gave me an estimate price comparison for the project, warranty and financing options: no pressure whatsoever, which was very helpful and got my attention to choose their business after talking to 6 other plumbing companies.  Jacob was the technician who actually rendered the service.  He came over on a Friday evening to discuss the project and gave me a run down between the types of heating available, their pros and cons, and again estimate cost and financing without forcing me to buy a certain product.  After choosing what I wanted done and financing options, we scheduled for the water heating service the following day between 0800-1200 after getting the parts at 0700.  Three hours later, my tankless water heater was installed.  All the research and actually getting the service done took place within about 48 hour period.  I already told Jacob that I would have to hit them up again for another project soon.  Awesome communication and service execution from the two ladies I spoke with, to Fred, and Jacob!  So far, I am pleased with the product and service and will definitely recommend them.

I would like to start by saying that A.Avco made my entire process a delight. Jacob is a very knowledgeable Rep, and the service was great from start to finish. I needed to replace my ac (it was just an old system )I set up my appointment they were on time and very friendly. The guys worked around my family and I's busy schedule and accommodated our every need.(Mario ,Jorge and Frank) were great and not to mention they have an eye for detail and cleanliness witch was a plus. I would totally recommend this company.

I called about my plumbing and heating last Thursday and set up and appointment for the following Saturday from 8-9am for a checkup and possibly repair. I waited around until 12 and made several attempts to call with no answer. Still now, I have called since and left messages and no one has returned my call. Will never be using them again! At least give me a heads up that you aren't coming so I'm not waiting around for hours!

Terrible Horrible Awful No Good Very Bad experience with AAVCO customer service.  My story.  I asked them to do some work.  Changed my mind and decided on a smaller project. but I needed a new price quote so that I could remit payment.   AAVCO harassed father, sister, but never contacted me.  Why did they contact them?  In spite of several requests for invoice one never was received reason, they didn't want to change the paperwork for the bundle of service  After two months they do the paperwork necessary to email an invoice and ask to send payment by completing form and emailing back. But the email did not come to me it went to another family member and immediately the phone calls began stating that if payment was not received they would start litigation.  Hello, you just sent the invoice and not to me, give me a moment, so that the person who has nothing to do with this can forward it to me, so that I can read it, so that I can fill out the form and so I can email it back.  I emailed the form back.  Another phone call saying payment has not been received.  I call them up and find out that the email they sent me isn't read.   Why did they send me an invoice via someone else demanding payment from an email that is not read?  Do they really want to get paid? Are they enjoying harassing us?

Of course I want to pay them so I can end this traumatic chapter of my life.    By the way I have yet to receive a phone call, letter, email from the company.  Had I been contacted directly and when I requested an invoice this would have been settled immediately long long ago.

Read the review, its happened to others.  It's one experience but if it happened to me it could happen to you.

Great Company! They replaced our heating and A/C unit about 3 years ago and the unit works great.

We travel  and have the maintenance plan which gives us peace of mind. We have pets and if there is a problem our house sitter can call them and the problem is fixed ASAP. The plan also includes a spring and winter maintenance on the air and heater so every thing is ready for the fall or summer. I just had my winter maintenance service and the technician was courteous and did  great job. In fact their own office crew is fabulous. I am very pleased with their work and highly recommend them if you need repair work done, or looking to buy a new system.

This company is a rip off. Trevor came to my house because my ac wasn't working due to dog chewing the cord. So because there was a break in the line the heater wasn't working as well. Trevor wanted to charge me 967 to fix it and then decided to start selling me bundles for new a/c and heater on top and putting all new ducts. Don't get my wrong my my system is old but I told him my concern it to just get it running right now that's all. The cheapest package would have cost 11,000 with interest over 5 years that is crazy. I called a family owned business who came out did the same job for 109 which Trevor was trying to charge 967 just to get it running. I felt like I was buying a car. He kept pushing and pushing the higher ac packages which was 12,113 I said no at least 5 times. Then he had me applying for a hero loan. Not once did he say I can just fix the cable. I told him I had to talk it over so then he reschdule for himself and a hero rep to come back to my house even though I never approved that. That company got my 6o to come out. Please don't use this company all they want to do is sell you a new system for everything and sign you up for hero. Mom and pop ac charged me 109 my ac is running perfect again! This place is like a used car sales. They aren't looking at their customer best interest. Do I need to replace my whole ac probably in the future but that isn't what I asked I said my dog chewed the connection I just wanted the wire fixed.

AAVCO installed a refurbished system for us April 2011. We had an issue with the condenser unit being faulty. It was very frustrating working with them to get the issue resolved because the communication was poor and it took too long, but fortunately in the end, they installed a new unit for us and honored their original warranty. I felt as though their final solution represented  a 5 star company, but it took too long and was too difficult to get there, so they're getting the A-OK 3 star rating. They did contact me for feedback, so I have conveyed they would be getting 5 stars if they improved communication, resolved issues quicker, and reduced headaches, so hopefully they will improve and get a 5 star comment next time, as they do have good prices and they install quickly.

We have had aavco out to our business to repair and service a commercial a.c. unit. Jacob and Matt were both very prompt delivering the work and had great customer service answering all our many questions. So far everything seems to be working fine. The only reason to reduce a star is that they use a strange pricing strategy where they only give you a base 6 month warranty on the part and they offer much much higher pricing for more warranty. I always prefer an upfront price and simpler easier to understand warranty and service plan.

I used AAVCO Plumbing Heating & Air yesterday evening.  Very happy with their service.  

The company sent 2 plumbers to my house to address two plumbing issues I had in two separate bathrooms.  They were very prompt, courteous and knowledgeable.  They immediately addressed the issues and resolved both problems within an hour.  The parts they needed, they had in their van and the service came with a warranty.  

I definitely recommend them to anyone!

I cant agree more with the previous reviewer.  The tech told us that the part that needed to be replaced on our heater was damaged because of the way it was installed, and that it was damaged due to rain water getting into it secondary to the poor installation.  He said that every time it rains, it will go out, and it MUST be replaced IMMEDIATELY or we will not have heat during the next storm.  
Problem with this statement is that the last time this part was even touched was when it was first installed, TEN YEARS AGO, and um...mother nature had not stopped its downpours since.  The other thing is we were going through our insurance, and the insurance covers wear and tear, but not installation defects, which the tech was very well aware of.  He also was very well aware of how much the insurance would cover for him to fix, and extras would have to be paid by us out of pocket.  When I tried to reason with the fact that this system had worked for several years, without any issues, (and according to his logic, should have broke down during the first storm several years ago) he started to get VERY defensive and say- well it is not going to be covered by your insurance because I am telling them it is an installation defect, not wear and tear, and you have to pay the fee out of pocket.  Being the peace-maker that I am, I tried to talk out alternative fixes and alternative causes (which this guy gives me NONE of either because of course his word is sent from the heavens *cough*), and proceeds to make me talk to the supervisor, Fred Ballard, who from the get-go says he already knows what is going on (without me even explaining anything- hmm fishy?!) and starts accusing me of trying to cheat the system and force his company to lie that it's wear and tear.

So of course I get a second and third opinion...both of which said that this has absolutely nothing to do with the way it was installed- it was installed just fine and according to standards.  It's normal wear and tear.  =/

So in conclusion- stay far away from these people who will do anything to try and rip you off, and cannot take someone questioning their judgment (or lack thereof) with some good old common sense.

We have used them for two jobs now and both turned out great. Jacob and his crew are top notch, very professional and went the extra mile to please us and found a very inventive way to fix a return issue we had on our second job with them. As other people have said in their bad yelp reviews, they are bad about missing appointments or being late without calling, I am pretty sure that is an office issue not relaying the later times to the customers when the techs are running behind. Unlike other people I am not holding that against in them in my review because their work makes up for any minor inconvenience of them sometimes not showing up on time.

Don't pick up the phone when they call they said I have prepaid maintenance service I would like to know how when they came out 5 years ago and tried to sell me a hot water tank for almost $3500. I went to home depot bought  and a pretty dam nice hot water tank better than what they were had for 1,400 bucks  And I paid a contractor 450  To install it They're doing a sales gimmick letting you believe you have a prepaid maintenanceI ...how. I never gave them a dime  And they have been to my house in years.. So I called and I question them about my prepaid maintenance..lol. Then she said its a complementary maintenance  So basically they're coming out to To look at your hot water tank /air conditioning unit to tell you all the things that are wrong with it and a grip of pre prevent Meassure.. At a  Very pretty penny

My a/c had a problem last night and I called Aavco for service. Jacob D. arrived shortly at 11am and diagnosed the problem and completed the job within an hour and a half. Jacob provided a description of the problem and didn't just do a quick fix. It's important that my technician be honest, trustworthy, knowledgeable and able to do the job, which he was.

My shower stopped working and needed it fixed. I called another company first, their estimate was a bit steep. I called AAVCO ,Josh came for an estimate which was much better. He told me there shouldn't have been a reason the previous company didn't turn my water back on. He then showed me how and where to turn it off/on for future reference.

Josh came back with Shannon to complete the job. They cleaned up well when they finished and did a great thorough job.

I note there are several negative reviews, however, I have been an AAVCO customer for many years and have always been very satisfied with their service.  The technicians arrive on time, or if delayed, call to let me know, and Brett, the office manager, bends over backwards to accommodate any emergencies.  This past week my heater quit in the middle of the night.  It is very, very cold at night in Phelan, in the 20's, and I need my heater.  I called the office in the morning and their service technician, Trevor, came that day, diagnosed the problem, and ordered the necessary part, came back the next day and fixed the problem.  The heater is working perfectly and I am one happy AAVCO customer!

We had a man Named JACOB who came to our home in Fontana to help us with our broken central AC unit. My father is on oxygen and it's 106 degrees today. It is very difficult for him to breathe especially when our AC stopped working. Jacob was very considerate, professional, and helpful. He was kind to my father and our family and we decided to purchase a whole new unit. It will be installed Friday. We appreciate Jacob's help immensely. Save your money! I had something blocking in my bathtub drain so tub was getting backed up, and also my spout for my bathtub was pouring out water while we showered. Was told it would cost just about a $1000 and holes were going to be made in the wall behind the shower because a snake would not fix it. I told them I would like a day or two to think about it and discuss it with my brother and get back to them. I felt very pressured to agree to have it fixed.
I called someone else for a second opinion and had both problems fixed for less than $150 drain was cleared within minutes when I was told by aavco it was most likely not going to work. And for the spout the plumber took it off, reattached it and it worked like new right after. Wont be calling this company back for plumbing needs.

Oscar and Mario did a great job installing my new central unit and taking out the old swamp cooler even that they were working in a very small attic. Very communicative  and professional. I was very satisfied with their services. They did their part of the installation as agreed, now I'm waiting for the next person to come and patch the old vents holds in the roof, so hopefully it will be a completed and great experience.

If i could I'd leave no star!!! These guys just want to sell a/c units!! Called them around 2004 or so ok my a/c unit was 27yrs old...called em back for a problem around 2006 or so... Said need to replace system again..BULLS+÷T!!! I put a new thermostat in DONE... Wife had them come out in 2016 a/c would not come on...they came out again neen whole new system...bought a compactor that cost me $15.00 DONE....wife called them again last week took 3 appointments over 4 days b4 they showed up...guess what....NEED A NEW UNIT....BULLS%#T...called another place after checking it out was low on Freon probably due to service port caps being left off at last service.....$160.00 fixed!!!! They wanted $695.00 to recharge with no warranty!!!! F#!k them!!!!

I originally set an appointment with AAVCO plumbing and heating unfortunately nobody showed up.
The following day they sent a technician and kindly provided me an air conditioning service for free for the inconvenience.
I was a little skeptical however Trevor was very professional and showed us how the anode in our water heater needed to be replaced he also took the time after servicing my air conditioning condenser to put a screen on the outside of them for me which I greatly appreciate it.
I must say Trevor was very professional and courteous.

I called them out to do maintenance on my heating and air conditioning,however I normally use First Choice, so I had no idea they merged to AAVCO a family company. I never had any problems with First Choice. However, AAVCO did not do anything right and quoted me 5000 for my ducting. During this visit they messed up my furnace and misaligned the mechanics and the thermostats were not working. They were working before they came. They charged me 287 dollars which I wouldn't have mind paying if they did their jobs right. The first guy told the second guy about my thermostats not being good but they were perfectly fine before. I spent the whole night freezing. I will never use them again.

I am very unhappy with the miscommunication I've been getting from this company all day. I called yesterday to get a quote for repair work on my ac unit, and ended up making an appointment for this morning, between 9-10am. At about 10:15, when I hadn't heard from anyone yet, I gave them a call to check on the progress of my technician. I was told he was behind schedule, still in Fontana, and that he should be here in about an hour. After three more hours, I called again. This time I was told that they had been trying to get ahold of me, calling some phone number I've never heard of over and over. I asked, didn't my phone number (which incidentally I provided when I made the appointment in the first place) appear on her phone when I called this morning? She said no, it doesn't appear. I then rattled off my phone number quickly, to tell her the phone number I had given yesterday. She apologized again, stating that since they couldn't reach me, he moved on to other calls. I was very upset, since I had put several errands on hold waiting for this repair work, not to mention my landlord who was waiting all day as well. She told me to go ahead and run my errands, that they would put me back on the schedule for arrival between 4-6pm. I asked her to repeat my actual phone number, which I had only given her once very quickly in this call, and amazingly, she was able to repeat it back to me without hesitation. Which sounds to me like maybe it was showing up on her business phone's caller ID.

Skip to 5:00pm...hadn't yet heard from anyone, so I called again to check on things. The guy is in San Bernardino. She asks me, didn't you tell me you wouldn't be home until 5:00? I remind her that no, SHE told me I was now on the schedule for 4-6pm, so I've been home since 3. I expressed to her my concern that he might not be able to complete the job now that it's gotten so late, and that finishing tomorrow isn't an option for me, as I will be out of town, which was why I made the appointment for 9am. She started to assure me that the job will be completed today, but then stopped herself and said that of course he would need to look at the situation before they can say that. I am fuming in my HOT Riverside home, waiting to see if anyone actually shows up.

Update at 7:05pm...received NO CALL from anyone. My landlord called someone she knows who was able to come out immediately. I called AAVCO at 6:15 to cancel service and got their voicemail, despite the fact that I've reached a person at the number every time I called today, and despite the fact that they supposedly don't close until 7pm. I can't speak for what kind of repair service they may have been able to offer, but I'm very unhappy with how disorganized and unprofessional the scheduling aspect was.
