Water Heaters Only

Don did an excellent job replacing our Rheem Water Heater with a Bradford and White unit as he did the last time 6 years ago. I have no complaints whatsoever about the quality of service. My only gripe was that this was under warranty yet the price was 10% greater than the previous non-warranty charge. I understand that with a warranty swap you are liable for labor charges so but this makes me think that the warranty is effectively worthless.

I was contacted by Water Heaters Only to repair the water heater under a home owners warranty. the company called and said the tech would arrive during the 8-12 time slot and would contact me when he was on his way. The morning of the appointment, I got a call saying they would arrive in 30-45 minutes.  When I arrived at the house in 30 minute her was just pulling in also.  He check the water heater which is located upstairs and said it had to be replaced due to a leak. He called it in and with in minutes I got a call from the warranty company saying it needed to be replaced and they were authorizing that to be done. To make a long story short, he drained, removed added a disconnect (which by code is required) added a drain pan, replumbed, removed the old heater and was done in approx. 2 hours. Unlike the previous review I had exactly the opposite and would highly recommend Don again. I have another 50 gal heater in about the same condition and will request tis company and him to repair/replace the next if needed.

Back around 1/18/2019,or so, my gas water heater stopped working. It is only 7.5 years old, and after doing some research as to how long they' 'typically' last, I thought, well, it shouldn't really be sputtering out on me quite yet. However, I reluctantly resigned myself to the fact I would have to pay out to have a whole new system installed. I called Water Heaters Only, Inc.,  early evening a couple of days later and had no problem at all getting through to someone. When I relayed my sob story about not having any hot water, the young lady who took my call graciously offered to try and get someone to my home that same night to take care of it. I assured her I could hold on an extra day or two since I had made it this far.
We scheduled for someone to come out on the 21st and I was given a window of time I could expect the technician to call and let me know when he was headed my way. Sure as anything, I got a phone call late that afternoon and was assured by the caller he would arrive at my house shortly.
As soon as I answered the door, I IMMEDIATELY felt at ease because I was greeted not by one, but by TWO gentlemen!!!! They were both incredibly kind and professional both in appearance and demeanor. Trevor and Dillon went right out to my laundry room to assess the situation.  Now....here is where they had a prime opportunity to take advantage of the situation because the room was crowded with things I had pulled away from the walls to allow access to my water heater. I left Trevor and Dillon alone in the room to work on the problem. This could have been the perfect opportunity to scam me and sell me a bill of goods, but rather than do that, Trevor called me back into the laundry room and informed me the pilot light had simply blown out. He took the time to explain how this could have happened and let me know that the area around the base of my water heater needed to be vacuumed out to allow for better air flow. He also showed me how to restart the pilot light should I ever encounter this situation again, along with explaining some other things to me, including what signs to look for that would indicate a need to replace my water heater. Trevor gave me the option of getting a new one IF I felt so inclined, but NEVER did he EVER try to use high pressure or scare tactics to try and sell me something I clearly did not need to buy, at least, HOPEFULLY for not a few more years!
Before leaving, Trevor engaged me in some 'small talk' even though I am sure he had more calls to take care of. He was so very kind and courteous and truly made me feel like I mattered, not only as a customer, but as a person. I have to say, both he and Dillon were stellar representatives of this company!
I purchased my current water heater from this company and will have ZERO hesitation to buy my next one through them when that time comes based on my experiences and the level of professionalism I experienced starting from the moment I called to ask for help, clear through to the point where the job was finished and the gentlemen headed out to go to wherever it was they were headed. I can say with complete sincerity, if you are in need of a water heater repair or replacement, you really need to give these folks a try. They are truly interested in giving their customers the level of service one should expect to receive when hiring a company to perform a job.

On Wednesday morning 4/24 we woke up with no hot water. After several phone calls and no one able to come out until late in the day I went online to research my options. I saw Water Heaters Only when I searched on Google. After my initial phone call, they not only quoted me an accurate price but arrived inside of 45 minutes from my initial phone call. Dillon was our technician. He was prompt, courteous and very professional. He was finished inside of 90 minutes. Dillon was careful to clean up after himself. Water heaters only technician Don was a pleasure to talk to as he is a Vet as well. He was honest in what he was telling me and did a great job in re-installing my new hot water heater. The heater was 5 years old and he told me that they typically last 6-8 years but seen them go out before then. My definitely did, it was leaking water like the Titanic. With the home owners warranty the complete install was $323, I can live with that if you ever priced a hot water heater minus the technician to install it, I say it was a good deal. I was hoping to just pay $65 for the standard warranty fix-a-parts but a new heater is all the more better in the long run. I would recommend Don cause he was knowledgeable and gave me answer to additional questions I had. Well time for that hot shower now thanks Don.

Had an emergency situation with a water heater and a timeline for leaving the area. Water Heaters Only had a repairperson to my house in less than two hours, as promised. The repairperson, Don, diagnosed the problem, gave me options, and repaired the water heater in 30 minutes. He was knowledgeable, efficient and friendly! Excellent wok!

We had Water Heaters Only come replace a water heater and we could not be happier with the service provided by Trevor E. There was a miscommunication with our phone number so he was not able to reach us, but he still showed up on time anyways. He explained everything clearly, educated on different options available without up-selling, and was very personable. We were very impressed with his work and the overall experience. I would highly recommend their services to anyone needing a new water heater!

They replaced our under warranty Rheem Water Heater a year ago.  Which still costs us $450.  Now a year later, I woke up to no hot water yesterday.  The parts were under warranty but it was a $125 service charge.  They replaced the rods.  This morning we once again woke up with no hot water.  My husband called and was given the 2-4 time slot.  My husband was home prior to 2:00 only to find they had already been here and left.  The person in dispatch claims to have told my husband noon - 2 and they now are unable to get to us until Monday morning.  I disagree because as soon as he hung up the first time he repeated the time of 2-4 to me.  So now we will be without hot water for 4 days because someone didn't do the job correctly the first time.  I will NEVER EVER use the company again and will share this with all my friends via social media.

Woke up Thursday morning to a swampy garage and a wet floor. Our old Rheem finally said goodbye after many years of great service. We called Water Heaters Only since they installed the original unit. Gave a great quote over the phone, Don showed up first thing the next morning and went right to work. Clean, efficient and left no trace. No surprise on the quote either. No complaints here. We had a service tech visit the same day I reported a leak and had a new water heater installed the next day. Trevor, our tech, was courteous, friendly and evidently thorough since all is working well. He was patient enough to answer our very many questions and called us when he was on his way to our home. I would happily recommend. Also, whilst the standard hot water heater warranty period is 6 years, there is a 10 year option for another $100 which we opted for.

This company is FABULOUS!  and Trevor E was efficient and as nice as they come.  He explained to us what he was doing and how to have our water heater and timer work most efficiently for us.

We arrived in Peoria AZ where we have our 2nd home late in the evening Thursday and noticed their was a small amount of water on the garage floor.  Of course by the next morning, Friday, after showering we noticed more water, made the necessary call to our Homeowners Insurance on a Friday who got us hooked up with Water Heaters Only and within hours on 5/22/19 had Trevor from Water Heaters Only at our door.

I would highly recommend this company.  My husband and I were so impressed that we received such fast service on a Saturday after just calling the evening before at about 9pm with the make and size of our water heater so Trevor could bring the best replacement.  He brought what he needed replaced the water heater and did a fantastic job.  Thanks, we are happy customers!

Admittedly we used this company 15 years ago when our hot water heater burst. We saw they were still in business on Angies List and had an A rating and called them that afternoon. They were at my house near 8am the following day as promised. The cost was exactly what was quoted and they took into account the Angies List discount. We'd definitely use them again!

Absolutely wonderful experience with Water Heaters Only! A couple of days ago, our water heater stopped, you know, heating water. We called the company that originally installed the water heater, and they did not respond to us, so we moved on. Water Heaters Only answered the phone immediately, and sent someone out within hours of our request.

Only five hours passed between when we made the initial call and when our water heater was fixed. The total amount we paid was $210. Very reasonable price. Water Heaters Only will be our first call in the future.

We were out of town when the dog sitter called to say our hot water heater was spewing water all over our garage. She was able to get the water turned off, tank drained and electricity turned off to the unit.  Through our home warranty company we were put in contact with water heaters only. They had Don come out at 8 AM the morning after we arrived home.  We clearly needed a new water heater, but previous owners had built cabinets in such a way the tank could not be removed. Don gave us explicit instructions on how the cabinets should be moved. We contacted our handyman and he came out and moved the shelves.  Don came within an hour after he left and removed the old tank and hooked up the new one.  He insured there was no damage to the drywall - treated the area to prevent any mold growing - installed a drip pan under the new water heater and attached a drain so that any overflow would go away from the cabinets to the garage floor.  In addition to being an expert in this field, Don was an absolute professional.  In addition, the gentleman at the main office was courteous, helpful and insured everything was in place to get our water heater replaced. Thank you Don.  We will always refer our friends and associates to this company.

They claim they answer their phones 24/7/365, but I haven't been able to reach anyone on any of their posted numbers online.  Boo!

It is Labor Day weekend and I open the garage door only to find water up to my rims as my water heater decided it was a wonderful for a deposit. Contacted our home warrantee company and a few hours later Don with a  Cabellas Hat on is at my front door with a new Rheem Water Heater. It's Scottsdale at 103 degrees and fortunately for Don, the garage where the heater is located was only 101. At any rate, not only is Don my new best friend but he made easy work of the replacement ALONE (have you ever tried to pick one of those things up and place it in a cabinet shelf)? Three hours later more or less, I am up and running with no more worries over a three day weekend and Water Heaters Only is in my data base in case any of my other three heaters should fall out of line. Thank you Don, you were great!!!

I noticed a leaking stream from my 10 year old water heater last night.  So...I called the toll free number this morning (I had it from several years ago when I had another need), connected, and was told someone could be there within 4 hours.  Don arrived after about 2 hours!  He assessed the situation, quoted the total installation price and was ready to go.  Changing out the old to the new was timely and efficient.  Dang, good job!  I wouldn't hesitate to recommend to family, friends, neighbors.

We have 3 rental homes in the Phoenix area, along with our primary residence, so we have replaced a few water heaters in our time. I had intended to go with Lowe's for the most recent water heater failure, but their call before noon policy did not extend into the weekend.  We needed to get our gas water heater installed on a Saturday.  I called Water Heaters Only around 11am on a Saturday, and they were able to send someone out within 3 hours!  We took the 2-4 time slot, and our installer (Don S.) called about 45 minutes ahead of time, and arrived 5 minutes early.  Since the old water heater had already been hauled away, the entire job from arrival to clean-up took only 1 hour and 10 minutes!  The price was also $50 less than Lowes.  One last thing ... with Lowe's, I had to specifically ask for a drip pan for the water heater. They would have installed the new one (on a drywall pedestal) without a drip pan.  Water Heaters Only said they won't install any water heater without one. We are happy customers.

10/17/2018. Needed a new water heater and after calling around, i decided to give Water Heaters Only the job. They were very friendly over the phone and they took the time to explain my install and pricing. Dan, my installer was there the next day and in the timeframe I was given. Unfortunaly after I made the appointment I discovered there had been a previous water leak sometime before I bought the house and the wall behind the heater had some pretty bad damage, so when Dan arrived he removed the water heater. After we inspected the area behind the drywall and determined there was no longer any leaks, he said to call when ready and he would come back to install the heater. I replaced all the drywall that afternoon and finished around 4:30. When I called they were able to get me in the next morning, that's pretty darn good! Dan did an exceptional job with the installation and I could not be happier. I would definitely use them again

So, only my experience with a quote, scheduling issues and they seemed really annoyed. Then they charge $65 for coming out to give me a quote which was different than over the phone price which is why I wanted to do an in person quote. The gentleman showed up ready to install a water heater and was confused and a little annoyed when I told him I just wanted an estimate. Then I get hit with oh by the way it's a $65 charge. This is my second estimate and no one else has even mentioned a service fee to give an estimate.

My husband was traveling and my water heater stopped heating the water. To make a long story short I called Water Heaters Only and they showed up three hours later. I definitely needed a new water heater and Dillon, who was wonderful, installed a brand new water heater. As I was not eligible for any type of warranty he gave me a discount on the new water heater and installed it perfectly. Our home warranty company recommended Water Heaters Only when our water heater broke.  They were on time and professional.  Upon determining that we needed a new water heater they got approval from our warranty company and began work right away.  We had a new heater and hot water within hours of his arrival and it looks great.  We are very pleased with the experience.

At any rate, not only is Don my new best friend but he made easy work of the replacement ALONE (have you ever tried to pick one of those things up and place it in a cabinet shelf)? Three hours later more or less, I am up and running with no more worries over a three day weekend and Water Heaters Only is in my data base in case any of my other three heaters should fall out of line. They claim they answer their phones 24/7/365, but I haven't been able to reach anyone on any of their posted numbers online.  Boo!

Admittedly we used this company 15 years ago when our hot water heater burst. We saw they were still in business on Angies List and had an A rating and called them that afternoon. They were at my house near 8am the following day as promised. The cost was exactly what was quoted and they took into account the Angies List discount. We'd definitely use them again!

Could not get ahold of them at all. Had an emergency with out water heater and the line just rang and rang.

My dad's water heater was leaking and I was able to get a fair quote and appointment right away. Our technician Dillion was great, very professional and friendly. He removed the old water heater and installed the new one quickly. Definitely recommend!

On Wednesday morning 4/24 we woke up with no hot water. After several phone calls and no one able to come out until late in the day I went online to research my options. I saw Water Heaters Only when I searched on Google. After my initial phone call, they not only quoted me an accurate price but arrived inside of 45 minutes from my initial phone call. Dillon was our technician. He was prompt, courteous and very professional. He was finished inside of 90 minutes. Dillon was careful to clean up after himself. I noticed the dreaded water leaking from the bottom of our water heater today.  I contacted our home warranty company, was expecting a call back within two days, and WITHIN AN HOUR, I had received a call from Tom stating that Trevor, the repair technician, was in the area and could be at my home within one hour.  WOW!  Fast forward to about three hours later, and we have a new 50 water heater installed (after agreeing to pay a little extra for parts that were not included with a water heater replacement per my home warranty contract), and my husband and I could not be happier.  (Come to find out, our old water heater was 18 years old.  Hope this one lasts just as long!)  Trevor was very professional and explained to me step by step what needed to be done.   My husband and I are very happy with the quick and professional job that Water Heaters Only (including Tom and Trevor) provided today!  Thank you!

10/17/2018. Needed a new water heater and after calling around, i decided to give Water Heaters Only the job. They were very friendly over the phone and they took the time to explain my install and pricing. Dan, my installer was there the next day and in the timeframe I was given. Unfortunaly after I made the appointment I discovered there had been a previous water leak sometime before I bought the house and the wall behind the heater had some pretty bad damage, so when Dan arrived he removed the water heater. After we inspected the area behind the drywall and determined there was no longer any leaks, he said to call when ready and he would come back to install the heater. I replaced all the drywall that afternoon and finished around 4:30. When I called they were able to get me in the next morning, that's pretty darn good! Dan did an exceptional job with the installation and I could not be happier. I would definitely use them again

We had Water Heaters Only come replace a water heater and we could not be happier with the service provided by Trevor E. There was a miscommunication with our phone number so he was not able to reach us, but he still showed up on time anyways. He explained everything clearly, educated on different options available without up-selling, and was very personable. We were very impressed with his work and the overall experience. I would highly recommend their services to anyone needing a new water heater!

Our home warranty company recommended Water Heaters Only when our water heater broke.  They were on time and professional.  Upon determining that we needed a new water heater they got approval from our warranty company and began work right away.  We had a new heater and hot water within hours of his arrival and it looks great.  We are very pleased with the experience.

I noticed a leaking stream from my 10 year old water heater last night.  So...I called the toll free number this morning (I had it from several years ago when I had another need), connected, and was told someone could be there within 4 hours.  Don arrived after about 2 hours!  He assessed the situation, quoted the total installation price and was ready to go.  Changing out the old to the new was timely and efficient.  Dang, good job!  I wouldn't hesitate to recommend to family, friends, neighbors.

My husband was traveling and my water heater stopped heating the water. To make a long story short I called Water Heaters Only and they showed up three hours later. I definitely needed a new water heater and Dillon, who was wonderful, installed a brand new water heater. As I was not eligible for any type of warranty he gave me a discount on the new water heater and installed it perfectly. I felt like the price was excellent and the service was extraordinary.I would definitely recommend this company.

I was contacted by Water Heaters Only to repair the water heater under a home owners warranty. the company called and said the tech would arrive during the 8-12 time slot and would contact me when he was on his way. The morning of the appointment, I got a call saying they would arrive in 30-45 minutes.  When I arrived at the house in 30 minute her was just pulling in also.  He check the water heater which is located upstairs and said it had to be replaced due to a leak. He called it in and with in minutes I got a call from the warranty company saying it needed to be replaced and they were authorizing that to be done. To make a long story short, he drained, removed added a disconnect (which by code is required) added a drain pan, replumbed, removed the old heater and was done in approx. 2 hours. Unlike the previous review I had exactly the opposite and would highly recommend Don again. I have another 50 gal heater in about the same condition and will request tis company and him to repair/replace the next if needed.

So, only my experience with a quote, scheduling issues and they seemed really annoyed. Then they charge $65 for coming out to give me a quote which was different than over the phone price which is why I wanted to do an in person quote. The gentleman showed up ready to install a water heater and was confused and a little annoyed when I told him I just wanted an estimate. Then I get hit with oh by the way it's a $65 charge. This is my second estimate and no one else has even mentioned a service fee to give an estimate.

My warranty company, Fidelity National, sent out a work order to Water Heaters Only to replace our dead 65 gallon electric unit with a 75 gallon electric unit.   The Technician was VERY helpful and was going to do research on a few 75 gallon units that would fit in our water heater build out based on brands they are contracted with that provide 75 gallon tanks.   Within an hour I receive a call from the warranty company saying they were told it had to be a 50 gallon unit or we should cash out and install a gas or solar unit.   My husband, who dealt with the tech, called back to the 800 number to find out what happened.   He was told we do NOT install anything above 50 gallon tanks.   REALLY?   You took a work order that was specifically for a 75 gallon tank when you do not offer that service.   Now we are down for the weekend - cold showers!  Shame on YOU Water heaters only!

Had an emergency situation with a water heater and a timeline for leaving the area. Water Heaters Only had a repairperson to my house in less than two hours, as promised. The repairperson, Don, diagnosed the problem, gave me options, and repaired the water heater in 30 minutes. He was knowledgeable, efficient and friendly! Excellent wok!

They replaced our under warranty Rheem Water Heater a year ago.  Which still costs us $450.  Now a year later, I woke up to no hot water yesterday.  The parts were under warranty but it was a $125 service charge.  They replaced the rods.  This morning we once again woke up with no hot water.  My husband called and was given the 2-4 time slot.  My husband was home prior to 2:00 only to find they had already been here and left.  The person in dispatch claims to have told my husband noon - 2 and they now are unable to get to us until Monday morning.  I disagree because as soon as he hung up the first time he repeated the time of 2-4 to me.  So now we will be without hot water for 4 days because someone didn't do the job correctly the first time.  I will NEVER EVER use the company again and will share this with all my friends via social media.

Don did an excellent job replacing our Rheem Water Heater with a Bradford and White unit as he did the last time 6 years ago. I have no complaints whatsoever about the quality of service. My only gripe was that this was under warranty yet the price was 10% greater than the previous non-warranty charge. I understand that with a warranty swap you are liable for labor charges so but this makes me think that the warranty is effectively worthless.
