How did I grow my business from a solo operation to a team of 15?

Ten years ago, I was driving solo to my very first housecleaning job full of hope and excitement! I envisioned what growing my business would look like. How easy it would be I thought. Oh how naïve I was. Sometimes ignorance truly is bliss.
As I wrapped-up that massive first house almost 8 hours later, I was barely able to drag myself out to the car, I was so EXHAUSTED. Grit and determination kicked in and I remember thinking that this was going to be a success, but I needed HELP. Easy enough, right?

I am updating this review because I heard from the owner, April. I explained to her that I did not want to pay more than the quoted regular bi-weekly cleaning charge since I did not get a deep clean. She said they do not offer discounts, but offered to clean my home again to my satisfaction. I declined since I have found someone new to clean my home. She also said she talked with her staff to make sure they hit all the items on the checklist and remain professional. She said people have off days and I agree. However, my first impression of this cleaning is hard to shake off.

We had been using Going Greenhouse services since 2016 and have been relatively happy with the quality of their service. However, what was frustrating for me was that they kept raising their price over and over. Over the 4 years that we used their service, they increased their price by almost 100%!!
We ended up parting ways and soon after I found another great cleaning company that charges way less than Going Greenhouse and are very happy with the new company.

Going Greenhouse did a great job for over a year with no issues and we were extremely pleased. Over the last few months they changed out crews and the quality level slowly went downhill. 2 weeks ago the cleaning crew did a less than stellar job and failed to adequately clean the shower or kitchen sink. Gone greenhouse was notified and they offered to rectify the problems the following business day which they did. This past Friday on the next regular cleaning they sent a new crew who had never been to our house before and several things were missed including taking the kitchen trash out, the hard floors were not vacuumed very well (dust and kitty litter were visible to the eye) and they didn't mop the floors adequately. An issue one time is an accident, the second time with no supervision is a pattern of not caring.

I have been using Going Green for a little over a year and their service is absolutely outstanding. There's nothing better than coming home after a long day to a beautifully cleaned home. I highly recommend Going Green not only do they do an outstanding job but their costs are more competitive than the majority of the cleaning services in the valley. I'm so sad to have to write this review because I desperately wanted to love GGH, and initially did! Bottom line: inconsistency and disappointment led to this 3-star rating.

My home is a 2 bedroom condo and I clean weekly but I needed GGH for occasional turn-over cleaning. Maybe that was the problem.

April the owner is a doll and I love what she's doing and how she's doing it. I greatly appreciated the initial walk-through and was excited after having met her.

I scheduled a trial-run turnover cleaning so I could see if it met expectations. Again, I clean my house regularly so for this particular cleaning it was already in good shape. So when I returned home after the cleaning, I was disappointed because it wasn't even as good as I would have done! I had to touch up the kitchen, both bathroom tubs, and under (easy to move) furniture items. Furthermore, I was told a card would be left by the cleaner and none was.

I notified April of my disappointment and she immediately was willing to send someone back out, but I had guests coming to town the next day and honestly it was easier for me to do it myself. But having shared this with her, I anticipated improved results in the future and I'm a sucker for giving people second (and third) chances.

So a couple months later it was time for an actual turn-over cleaning. I was not able to personally witness the results but I had no complaints from the guest.

A couple months later was turnover cleaning number 3. This time it was me and my husband returning home. Overall things were presentable (beds made, clean linens put out, etc), but the cleaner left her charger and a spray bottle and - similar to my first cleaning experience - there were obvious missed spots (dust, dirt) and the worst of all was the hall bathtub wasn't touched! I would have been very embarrassed if it were guests arriving to my place, instead of me. They would have had to deal with the left items and unclean areas to boot! That was my final straw.

I don't have high expectations or standards. I am not a OCD cleaner and honestly I don't do the most remarkable job myself sometimes. I don't mind paying $150+ for a cleaning service (it's hard work!), but when I have to clean up after my cleaner... I'd rather pay myself.

I was worried about getting my house cleaned during COVID-19 however April and her team put my mind at ease quickly. They bring masks, gloves and booties for their feet. They don't even ring the doorbell without gloves on. Super professional cleaning that you can customize to whatever your house needs. I am now on a bi-weekly schedule for cleaning & I have to admit it feels amazing coming home to a clean house and knowing it was cleaned safely. Thank you Going GreenHouse!

I have a large home, and I've used many cleaning services over the years. I stopped my bi-monthly service last year due to the pandemic. When I felt comfortable to resume house cleaning services, I looked for a company that would respect all of my health concerns in today's complicated times. Going GreenHouse met all of my criteria and completely impressed me. I was first impressed that they sent Brea, the Client Concierge, to my home for a free consultation instead of just giving a quote over the phone. I continue to be impressed with how Office Manager, Emily, always works with me to send a 3 person crew, when available, as most companies only provide 2 member crews to clean larger homes, which takes longer than I prefer. Equally impressive are the members of the cleaning team. Team lead, Kelly, and her crew members, Ciara and Alyssa, do an excellent and thorough job. I appreciate that they are pet friendly (I have 2 dogs and 2 cats), and that they are careful when opening exit doors. Going GreenHouse is a company of integrity that is respectful, professional, flexible, thorough, and reasonably priced. You get the most bang out of your buck for the great job that they perform. Going GreenHouse is passionate about cleaning!

I've struggled repeatedly to find a good housekeeper, and the struggle is now over because Going GreenHouse is just wonderful! They're a small, woman owned cleaning company that specializes in the personal touch and cleaning with earth friendly, non-toxic, biodegradable products. They send the same, small crew to my home for each cleaning, and they do a fantastic job. They're like quiet, magical cleaning mice, and I'm so very glad I found them!

I LOVE this company!!

Here are some things I like about Going Green House: 1). Highly responsive and easy to work with. 2). They are very customer centric. 3). They use only natural cleaning products. 4). They do excellent work. But on the rare occasion when something was missed, they will offer to come back and take care of it. 5). The owner contacts me afterwards to make sure that I am pleased with the work. 6). They go the extra mile! And finally; 7). Completely trustworthy.

They are a little pricier than other cleaning companies, but they are well worth it.

I am getting our house ready for rental showings and needed a deep clean of the kitchen and bathrooms on short notice. Going GreenHouse responded immediately and was able to send someone out to give an estimate and then complete the cleaning within 24 hours. It was a very thorough cleaning too. What a great find! I love that my house smells fresh instead of like chemicals after the team leaves! They go out of their way to make my dog feel comfortable while they are here and I have no qualms about them coming while I'm gone. Emily and her team started cleaning my home in mid 2015. Going Greenhouse is very professional, friendly, communicative, trustworthy, and does an amazing job cleaning!

April, the owner, strives to make sure every cleaning meets the customer's expectation. Everyone who has been in my home embodies that principle as well.

My condo is 1300 sq ft and they usually get the place spotless in about an hour.

Our first cleaning with Going GreenHouse was last Monday and I couldn't be happier with the whole experience. April came to our house to give me a quote; she was very professional, thorough, and nice. While it did take some time to get a response to my first email (they were having some email issues), I have found that communicating with them is very easy.

The cleaning crew was awesome--they did a wonderful job and were incredibly nice!!

I didn't think I could like this company more until I received a thank you card from them in the mail. Things like that go such a long way in my book and are so appreciated!!

April and her team at Going GreenHouse do an outstanding job!

I had worked with several other services, which were subpar previously - and when I found Going GreenHouse, it was like finding gold! Her crews are always well trained and good at their craft. The house always looks stellar after they have been there.

Just prior to the holidays, I had a challenge with a crew member who somehow broke my guest bathroom glass shower door. Of course, the person was mortified - and April jumped in and immediately resolved the situation. She had good suggestions on where to find the best replacement and price point. She even offered to manage the process for me if I was going to be out of town. In addition, she immediately filed a claim with her insurance company and everything went well from that point also. I was able to get the repair handled before the guests arrived for the holidays.

Always a pleasure to work with Going GreenHouse, they are up to snuff on cleaning and efficient in scheduling and they are great communicators. I like that I can email or text them with needs or changes. All good - you can't go wrong hiring Going GreenHouse!

Going greenhouse has met every one.

From the moment I called and spoke to Lourdes and arranged our first visit to a few months on, everything has been more than I expected.

April clearly loves bringing joy to peoples lives through a clean house as this comes through all her staff.

Damani, Amanda, Corliss, Kiara, Emmanuel and Cierra have all been professional, thorough, friendly and basically just a pleasure to have in my home.

Damani has gone out of his way to make friends with the three crazy pups in the house. He's brought treats and he's worked with my roommates dog with high anxiety. They have all taken the time to really put the entire household at ease.

I cannot rate these guys highly enough. Five stars are simply not enough.

I have been looking for an environmentally friendly cleaning crew for awhile. I have a toddler, 2 dogs and am pregnant and I personally only use green products. I just moved into a rental and it was pretty gross. I'm absolutely sure the previous tenants just packed up and left. Leaving us with grime covered walls baseboards and dust everywhere. There were two ladies and one gentleman. They were very polite. They cleaned very well and even were happy when I pointed out some trouble spots. We were referred by another mom who lives the green lifestyle and I will defiantly be using them again.

I love coming home to my house after Going Greenhouse has been there. My floors look absolutely amazing- I don't know how they get them to look that good. And my husband asked, "How do they get the fridge that clean?" (it has a stainless steel front) The girls are always very respectful and courteous and I've found that their rates are incredibly competitive especially since they use all green products. They even take a minute to play and say hi to my 2 dogs who just love when the girls come by.

The best part is when April, the owner, came by the very first time to talk to me about what I wanted done. It's really customizable so if you have something that's sort of your "pet-peeve", they can make sure to address it for you. I just love that! After they came a couple of times, April, the owner, came back by to check on the quality of the work once the girls were done. Their commitment to service and quality really shows.

If you're looking for a company that is locally-owned, licensed, insured, etc AND pays their staff an appropriate hourly rate while offering training & other benefits, Going Greenhouse is perfect!! I cannot say enough positive things about Going Greenhouse. They definitely earned their 5-stars!!

With our work schedules we don't make enough time (or let's be honest, that's an excuse) to do the "deep clean" tasks needed to keep the whole house feeling it's best. I am so glad to have found an amazing cleaning company! I've been through several bad eggs and was starting to think a great cleaning company didn't exist. April came to our house to give a quote and explain their practices and was great with communication through the whole process, including scheduling the cleaning. The 3 ladies that did the cleaning were very friendly, trustworthy, respectful, hard workers and efficient. They answered any questions I had and made sure I was completely satisfied. GGH is my favorite cleaning team on the valley. They are always on time, professional and meticulous. I highly recommend the oven cleaning as a add on, we did one for Thanksgiving this year and they did an amazing job.
