My name is Ken Pitman I have 20 years experience in the plumbing industry as well as the heating and cooling industry I have worked for several high end companies in Arizona until in 2006 I decided I wanted to be more personal with the people I was working with and for so I opened up Do It Right Plumbing Inc and have enjoyed every minute of it we are doing great and growing bigger and bigger everyday

If your home warranty refers you to them, request a different company.  Would not return calls and quoted availability for three weeks out.  Methinks not is right!!

Terrible communication.  This company is completely failing with communication and continue to not show up to appointments and have been 'scheduling repairs' for 3 days. They are incompetent and wasted a week of my and my tenant's time. I would not recommend them. The two telephone reps Ruby and Linda were unprofessional yelling back and forth to each other while I was on the phone. They also demanded and begged for a service call before they arrive-- that was just the first red flag. Don't waste your time!

The only reason I didn't give one star is because the plumber was nice and friendly, initially when I put the claim in they called to schedule the appointment within the hour, and they were not unprofessional on the phone until the last day. The job was to replace my water heater. They gave me a 2 hour window then they showed up 15min late. Once the claim was approved on a Monday, it took me calling them every day for the next 3 days, and them saying we will try to get out there today or tomorrow For them to finally make an appointment Thur night to come out Friday at 11am. They showed up at 12:30pm. Then the water heater did not work and wouldn't light after install. I had to call them to come back out, which they said they would come out today or tomorrow morning. Tomorrow at 11:30am I call and Linda finally gave me a time  of 3-5. At 3:12pm I get a phone call they will be here in 20 min, an hour later  no one is here. I called the office and they said the plumber has been outside my house for an hour calling me over and over, I said I have been here so that is a lie. The lady (either Linda or Ruby since they would not tell me their name) hangs up on me. I call back and she says he will be here in 30 min. When I confront her about lying that he was outside my house, she hangs up on me again and won't answer my number. I call from a different number and Sharon answered, I asked the name of the person I was talking to and I hear that lady in the background tell her that I need to call my home warranty it was escalated to management and told her to hang up on me. When plumber gets here he tells me he was not outside my house or calling me, that he was on his way a while ago but the office told him that I was not home so he didn't come.

Worst company ever! I'm renting a home that uses 2-10 warranty. Like all these other reviews our warranty company referred them after sending out another company that claimed the leak was a defect in the tub that needed to be caulked. Did nothing and left. Months later we now have a hole in the ceiling down stairs in our laundry room/pantry. Turns out it was not the tub but the toilet. Got a call from do it right to schedule on a Friday but they couldn't come until Monday evening. They missed the window so I call and the gap that answers tells me to hold on. I can hear the women talking in the office. They sounded annoyed. Lady gets back on phone and says they'll call me back. Ruby calls and with as much attitude one could have for no reason says the tech will be there on 15 minutes and hangs up. Tech comes says the waste water line is leaking and they need a dry out team to come in and rip out the sub flooring, dry wall, and ceiling before they can even start on repairing the leak. But of course they have to jump threw the hoops of the warranty and the owners. They will be in contact and leaves. Was there all of five minutes. Comes back to the door after leaving to let me know that he forgot to collect the call fee. I give him a check and ask for a receipt and he tells me that they will email me one. I don't receive an email with the receipt but a few days later after talking to my property management company I get a call from Ruby. Who tells me I shouldn't be making this call but I'm concerned for your family as my tech tells me you have small children and your property management company is trying to hire an unlicensed plumber to come in and fix this and I'm afraid that they're putting you in great Danger and are going to make your family very sick you need to call them and tell them you don't want anybody in there but us. Meanwhile she's still yet to send me my receipt for what I paid for them coming out and has continued to bully me and try and convince me that anyone coming here but them could result in serious illness for my family. Mind you this unwarrented contact and scare tactics has stressed me out beyond belief. I'm already dealing with serious health concerns and this has made them much worse. After taking to my property management company again they inform me in addition to the sacred tactics ruby has used on me she's refusing to give them anything in writing for what they claim needs to be done and just wants permission to just come in and tear shit up. Don't use them.

Had an emergency sewer line back-up and our home warranty company recommended Do It Right Plumbing. We called and got a speedy response. The technician was courteous and professional. Found the problem and cleared the line that had backed up from a feeder line in the alley. Problem solved. Thanks you!

We had an emergency plumbing situation today when our shower got backed up and sewage started backwashing into the shower. Gross!  We went through our home warranty company and they contracted to Do it Right Plumbing and we're glad they did. We received a call back within an hour from the company and they dispatched a technician out asap.  Ken was very helpful, knowledgeable and immediately diagnosed that the problem was not on the line going to the street but rather the main line to the house.  He fed the motorized snake in and got the clog out at almost 40ft!  Ken suggested we test all showers, faucets and toilets to make sure they were all draining properly and we are happy to say he fixed the issue!  The cleanup was no fun but the fact that Do it RIght came out asap and got the problem fixed the same day was fantastic.  I recommend this company for anyone that needs quality and fast plumbing services.

KP came out to give me a second opinion on my water heater replacement in Gilbert and ended up doing the job quicker and far almost $500 less than the other joker.  Would definitely use again.

Like many of the other reviews, I was referred to this company by my home warranty company. When I was first contacted by them and I explained the problem with my water heater, they told me it was an electrical issue (It seems their scheduler is a master plumber and electrician) and told me to call an electrician and closed out my ticket. I did call an electrician and they determined it was my water heater so I called in another warranty claim.

On the second claim, it took me three attempts to schedule out a plumber. When he arrived, he kept telling my wife that the issue was with a timer and despite her showing him what we were having issues with; he said that there was nothing wrong. At that point my wife said he started reading the warning labels on the side of the tank like she was a two year old. It was completely disrespectful. My wife called me and I had to argue with the guy over the phone and explain the issue while at work and he finally checked the smart control box on the water heater and said that if we have an issue with that we need to call Whirlpool and have them fix it. WTF???? I explained that the warranty covers this and he said he didn't think so.

I called the company when I got home and the lady I talked told me she was talking to the warranty company about our claim and I explained what happened and she promised to get right back to me. Never did. I called the next day and got some very rude lady on the phone and when I explained the whole story to her told me that the plumber didn't know what he was talking about (Again WTF?? He's your employee) and that if I wanted them back out I needed to call the warranty company to set up another claim and if they couldn't find anything wrong, I would be charged again.

This company is full of incompetent people and they have no clue what they are doing. Their office staff is rude and they treat people like they are stupid. I have no clue how this company remains in business. I called the warranty company and filed a formal compliant and asked that this company be removed from their preferred vendor list.

If you need a plumber do yourself a favor and look elsewhere. This company will provide nothing but excuses and bad service.

I had a very similar situation happen to me this week. My warranty company assigned them to an issue I had with a leak in my bathtub. The technicians were okay minus calling in sick and forcing us to reschedule several times. The major issue I had with them was their office staff. They were very rude and inappropriate. Ruby referred to one of their clients who was causing my appointment to be delayed as not mentally stable. Then, she asked me to describe the plumbers by race. This company is terrible and I would not recommend them to anyone. I will call my warranty company to request that they remove them as a service provider as well.

This company fixed my garbage disposal earlier today and did a great job! Both the person I made the appointment and repair person were friendly and professional. The repair person was punctual and my disposal replaced within 45 minutes. I'd definitely use them again.

Ken got the Fidelity Home Warranty service request on a Saturday afternoon.  He jumped right on it, had the disposal replaced and was gone!  

Done Right, from all reports very efficient and friendly.

Water supply main from meter leaking up close to my house. Luckily, we had Service Line Warranty  and they dispatched Ken and he called to let me know he could be to my house in a couple of hours. He showed up sooner than expected, very professional, and ready to fix my problem. From the time I called the warranty company to the time I was signing the completed work order was 5 hours. Considering this was on a Friday, I couldn't be happier. I will consider calling Ken again if we have any further plumbing needs.

Ken was great. I could not figure out how to get the new bathroom faucets on. I called Do It Right and they scheduled me the same day. Even though it was late he stayed and when the supply lines leaked he had new ones on the truck. Doesn't get any better. Thank you.

Like everyone else who has been forced to use this company through their home warranty, I had a terrible experience.  

Every review mentions a terrible woman running the phones over there.  Her name is Ruby, and she has the worst customer service skills (or human being skills) of anyone I have ever had to make an attempt to communicate with.  She is arrogant, argumentative, disorganized, and makes attempting to piece together a transaction with this company damn near impossible.  She told me My tech knows what he's doing and hung up on me when I questioned their diagnosis, told me she didn't like the credit card I used (apparently I wanted her opinion on that), screwed up the scheduling, lost my contact info, gave misinformation to my warranty company, and apparently did everything else in her power to make sure I would never use that company again.

2-10 Home Warranty uses them in the Phoenix area and I have already reached out to them to try and get them removed as a vendor.  If you ever have them assigned to a service call, RUN the other direction, demand your warranty company re-assign the work order or find a new warranty company.

Do It Right Plumbing was sent out by my home warranty company when I called about a leaking toilet. The technician arrived at my property and within 2 minutes determined that I needed a new toilet. The toilet was very old so I had no problem replacing it and I was trusting his professional opinion.

He said he would be back the next day between 3-5pm to fix it. After organizing work schedules so someone could be home he never showed up. I called the office and they said they had no record of the appointment. I then called the technician and he said he doesn't handle scheduling.

After some frustration I set up a new appointment for the next day. I told the office someone would be home all day until 3:30pm and they said they would have someone out by 1pm. The technician arrived at 3pm. He walked in and said he couldn't repair the toilet because the tile floor was finished too close to the toilet base. He said the toilet he bought wouldn't fit and he didn't notice it the first time (his 2 min diagnosis). He said he was not a flooring guy and I should probably find someone on Craigslist.

In addition to the incompetence of the technician I found the office to be poorly run. Every time I called I had to re-explain the situation and reconfirm all my information. It seems like the employees do not communicate or keep records on work orders.

I will never use this company again and I asked my warranty company to remove them from their preferred vendors.

So many things wrong with this company, I'm not even sure where to begin.

We had a slab leak, called home warranty company, and here came do it right pluming. We had no hot water for 3 weeks, NO water for 5 days, broke a can light, they put cracks in our BRAND NEW drywall, they caused leaks in our ceiling, and the total time for them to fix everything was 6 weeks....

-Horrible communication, both within the company to each other, and to the customers.
-Never on time.
-The knowledge of the plumbers is not extensive, they don't really seem to know nearly as much as other plumbers.
-They might damage something in the process.
-The scheduling is so bad, i'm not even sure how they function and operate.
-The time frame is going to take much longer using them.

IF you are going to go through with them, make sure that you check multiple websites for reviews, and check their contractor license, because they have practiced without a license before...don't believe me? look it up for yourself.

If anyone wants me to share my emails with you, let me know. As i have proof, pictures, time frame, documented phone calls too.

Oh and don't bother calling them before 0900, they wont answer. and after 1600 its very difficult getting through as well. They say that their hours are 0900-1700.

This is a great local company. I have used them many times and they are one of the few who seem to actually care and go out of their way to get out to your home as soon as possible. Thumbs up to Ruby and her husband.

Our home service warranty contracted out this company for an emergency repair to the main line, and so many things went wrong after the work was done. Our water pressure for the whole house is extremely low, we have sand coming through the pipes. Worst part - company agreed to come out and fix the problem they never showed up!! Avoid this company at all costs. I was really hoping the reviews wouldn't hold to be true, unfortunately they are.

DO NOT, FOR ANY REASON USE THIS COMPANY! There are other options I emplower you to use them. This company is a nightmare. My family had a shower lever break and left the water ON. I was forced to turn the main water off to the house. A family without water is certainly an emergency. I called our home warranty who gave us this contractor. I called Do It Right Plumbing within 45 minutes of my work order to try to schedule an appointment ASAP. This is supposed to be a 24/7 company who handles emergencies. I called 2 times within an hour and couldn't reach them so I left a message. I waited another hour and finally got a hold of their unbelievably rude representative Linda. She said she would look up the order and call me back. An hour later, nothing. So I returned my call in which she rudely and aggressively told me she knows my situation. got my message,  was working on scheduling, and would call me back. I GOT NO CALL ALL DAY! This company BLATANTLY ignored a family with an urgent need. This was an immediate red flag! I immediately looked this company up online and saw multiple similar reviews. I called my home warranty and requested a change in contractor. I am so thankful I saw the signs. The new company Gecko, came out promptly and handle my situation with SERVICE and QUALITY.

I will never allow someone to provide me a service who doesn't have any sense of empathy, attentiveness, service, or compassion towards it's clients. There are always other options and someone who is working hard to provide for themselves and family. Someone who appreciates the work.

The worst company to do business with. Plumber is incompetent with his knowledgebase. Gave me a two hour window and showed up an hour and a half late without a phone call. I had to call several times in order to even schedule my service appointment.   Office manager has the worst customer service I have ever experienced is extremely rude, and has zero empathy for the customer service shortcomings. Do not give this company your business.

Had a leak in two of my rest rooms. Made an appointment paid in advance. Wasted my day from work waiting for them to show. No one came but when I called spoke to there receptionist Ruby. She was Very rude making accusations! She began to arguing and making excuses for there worker not showing up. She even hung up on me several times after I tried to reschedule.  For me I'm easy going ask Cath who I previously spoke to. There was no reason to argue. I know we all have hard days. All we had to do is reschedule. I would have understood but when you argue and accuse a client. I dont think so! Thanks for the customer service!! I'll never do business with them!

These are contractors for my Home Warranty Company. The receptionist/girlfriend/wife? is very rude and ignorant. They told me that my plumbing issue was a NON EMERGENCY! There are several other people that live in my home and they were affected also. They are closed on SATURDAYS and SUNDAYS so don't expect to hear from them if you have an emergency issue. Plumber in charge has a very nasty attitude. LEAVE THEM ALONE! If your home warranty company tries to send them your way- request someone else!

Read the other reviews and you can tell what happened to me. Horrible very unprofessional company who never actually comes to do any actual work-scam artists.They literally will lie to your face. So bad I took $700 loss from warranty company to get out of using this company.
After a month dealing with one bad plumbing company from our warranty who diagnosed our plumbing issue wrong we were sent Do It Right Plumbing. The technician shows up and runs water and calls their boss. The boss shows up along with another technician and reassures they know where the leak is and what to do and that they've done this for many years and countless times. They say it is ridiculous what the first plumber did in diagnosing it wrong. When we try to ask questions about the warranty they say don't worry our secretary Ruby will handle everything. A few days go by and no contact with Do It Right. We contact Old Republic who says they are waiting on a report from the plumber. Contact Do It Right several times and are assured they are working on report and just waiting for Old Republic to approve it. Mind you everytime I call plumbing I have to wait to get a call back from Ruby and deal with someone else who has no idea what's going on at their office. Eventually Ruby calls back and says they want to scope the line again, which I tell them not to do because we have already had it done and I email them a copy of the report twice since they say they never receive it. Ruby continues to argue with me that they still need to scope even though it will cost us $300 out of our pocket and we've already had it done. Finally Ruby agrees we don't need it scoped and says they will get a crew together to come out as soon as possible. Few days go by, nothing. Finally contact Do It Right and they say they will send a crew out on Saturday. Saturday rolls around and no one shows up when they said they would between 7-9. At 10:30 am I leave and as soon as I get to the gym Do It Right calls asking where I am. I inform them they didn't show up when they were supposed to so I had other things to do. No apology just they tell me well he is waiting. I rush back home from gym and confront plumber saying I left because you were not here on time. I quickly realize plumber doesn't even speak English and the crew is just him. This plumber has no idea what's going on and I have to help him by putting hose into drain to show leak since he clearly wasn't told anything by company. He explains to me he only gets paid a $100 despite how expensive his tools are and is contracted out by plumbing company. He starts to jackhammer floor after telling me plumbing company originally told him to rip up our garage instead of our kitchen where the leak is. Thank god I came home to meet this guy and didn't have to work because clearly this plumbing company is a joke and also ripping off this jackhammering guy. This jackhammer guy leaves and the plumbing company boss comes out after I call Do It Right again and the boss says the first guy didn't jackhammer enough of the floor and then says we will be in touch about rescheduling. I asked if the first guy was coming back out today to jackhammer more and he says I don't know. So again me and my husband are left in limbo. I call the company again Monday and they tell me once again a crew is being assembled and I ask them for what and they tell me they don't know but they will be in touch. I call them Thursday again and they tell me they will have a crew out Saturday at 12pm because the boss has a baseball game he has to go to first. Then Saturday rolls around at 11:50am they contact my husband saying they were broken into but will come out Sunday. I tell my husband we are done ever using this company and contact our warranty Old Republic. Old Republic then informs us they will only give us around $300 now from the $1000 slab coverage we are supposed to have because the plumbing company said it would only cost $700 to do the job and had charged Old Republic over $300 to jackhammer the floor (mind you that wasn't even done properly and the guy told me Do It Right was only paying him$100). Best advice:stay away from Do It Right.

Had a problem with my water heater, made an appointment for today Feb 1st,  called and spoke with both Ruby and Sophia yesterday very professional and helpful, Ruby gave me excellent feed back how the company and tech operates, Ken the technician showed up and fix the problem, very courteous, excellent technician,he knows his job,

Horrible company, horrible customer service. As all of the other reviewers have said, if you are forced to use this company through a home warranty, demand that they re-assign your claim to a company that will treat you with a modicum of respect.

I've used these guys for 12 years. On my personal home and my rentals. Always on time, respectful employees. And if your lucky enough to get the owner, Mr. Kenny Parks a top of the line person and plumber! work is done right, clean, fast, and affordable. And best of all they wont cheat you or mislead you. Once you use Do It Right plumbing..... You wont use anyone else.

We had a previous company come out and couldn't fix our clogged bathroom sinks, so when my home warranty called do it right, it was Done Right, the plumber who came over was excellent,thorough and even cleaned up after himself... very happy and would recommend them, I've even called my home warranty company and told them to place this company on the good list(if there is such a thing), so if you need someone call these guys

I spoke with Ruby and set an appointment. Gave her my specific information including the phone number. She was aware that I was renting the home and it was warranty work. All I needed was a drain snaked. The tech never showed and when I called Ruby answered again and gave a lame excuse about having the owners information only. Funny how I specifically gave her my info 3 days prior. She actually had a little attitude on the phone passing the blame off. Lost a morning and part of an afternoon waiting. What a joke. It's called communication people. Still waiting.

I had a few things wrong with my plumbing and my home warranty company sent me Do It Right Plumbing. I saw some bad reviews and was leary...i am so glad I went with this company. Ken came out exactly when he said he would. Diagnosed and fixed several issues in a very timely matter. Very courteous & professional. Would definately call again & recommend. Very happy!!

They DONT do it Right!  This was the contractor referred through 2-10 Home Warranty Company.  Failed to show up 2 times.  Did not fix sink.  Came back and snaked the drain and it stills does not work.

Ken, the owner, cut my pipes without telling me, turned off all my hot water without telling me and gave me a quote for work that needed to be done, then never returned my call after I left him several voicemails to actually have the work done. Never use this company, I wish I had read half these reviews before agreeing to have them come into my house.

My home warranty company referred me to this company for a possible leak at my home. They came out, saw my meter running and confirmed I had a leak. The next day Ken, the owner mind you, came to my home with the leak location company and narrowed down the actual leak. Ken then went on to cut my pipes without telling me to stop the leak, when he could have easily just turned off my water heater. Later that day when I went to give my kids a bath, water began to spurt into my hallway. Ken did not tell me he was cutting my pipes nor did he tell me we were without hot water to the entire house because he cut that pipe. He quoted me for a re-route for $3500. After he gave me this estimate on Saturday, I began calling him on Monday to have him send his official quote to the insurance company. I gave him more days than I should have to call me back. I called another company, Blue Sky Plumbing, he came the same day to assess what needed to be done and then completed the same work for half the price 2 days after I initially contacted him. Do It Right Plumbing completely SUCKS!!!!
