Ben came to our office today to provide a quote for a new sink and a revamp of our bathroom. We're going to have a VERY unique Star Wars theme in our office bathroom soon, so he patiently listened and responded to all of our questions with different suggestions! He was also punctual, clean cut, friendly, professional, in uniform, and a well marked truck. He's going to do some additional research on fun options to help us to turn our bathroom into the Death Star, and to provide practical options to upgrade our team's kitchenette. There's no question, though, that this is the ONLY company we're EVER going to use for our plumbing needs going forward!
We had a cleanout line blocked and Al Coronado was the only firm that could send someone out on short notice. The service fee ended up being waived since they provided corrective action. There was an issue with the camera, so the tech, Brandon P came out again the next day (today) to have another look at the line, but first he re-snaked it and took care of the root problem.
We were pleased, and we will bring them out in a year for cleanout line maintenance.
I'm a tenant of a house by the U of A, but my toilet clogged up randomly on a monday morning when I had to attend school. We couldn't use the shower, the toilet, and it was a stressful situation. My landlord immediately called Al Coronado Plumbing and made an appointment for them to arrive within the next 8 hours! Not only was this shocking because these appointments can take a few days, but I was very relieved. Bobby Shawgo was my plumbing technician and worked diligently as I was inside working on homework. He explained the issue with the pipes, how it was going to be fixed, showed me pictures of the backup, and then proceeded to help me bleach my shower and tub, as well as explaining why he was cleaning it up - the dangers of hepatitis! I'm so thankful and relieved that he was my technician because I would've been possibly contaminated if he had not explained to me. I've never had a problem with plumbing issues, but if I do, I at least now know who to call. Thank you!!!

Had Tyson W relocate a water softener which involved routing lines up and over some other items in the way. The work was neat and professionally done. It's obvious Tyson is a skilled plumber - he made a point of inquiring whenever there was some question on how to proceed rather than getting it wrong. He kept me informed on his anticipated arrival and came back on time two days later as agreed to finalize the job.
On December 12/18/2019 Our bathrooms were inoperable and after a review found that the situation was more damaging than previously thought. The professional, and curtious staff members performed above and beyond the call of duty to protect our financial crisis in which this project would be upon my 96 year old mother. Preparing for the worst. This family run business made every effort to ensure that this job would be done right and professional.
Just wanted to acknowledge ONE of the BEST PLUMBING operations in the area.
GUARANTEED to stand by their services.
They provided US a piece of MIND throughout this journey.

I was happy with the service I got from Julian when he came out to unclog my drain. He was knowledgeable, friendly and professional. He even wore booties over his shoes to keep my floor clean. I think Al Coronado's prices are too high but I was able to get a discount which brought them down to a more reasonable amount.

We had an emergency leak - called Al Coronado plumbing. Office personnel was helpful and calm when I was not so calm. Megan was able to schedule a plummer quickly to relieve my stress. Very thoughtful and understanding. Brandon called before he arrived. Was very informative and caring. Diagnosed the problem and walked me through our options. He was also very thoughtful. I am grateful they came out and stopped the leak and put a fix plan down on an estimate so we can review for our next step.

This was the most honest person I have encountered in the plumbing industry. We had predicted needing at least a moen cartridge for the shower but after he inspected it we just needed to replace the shower head. He let my husband know what he needed to do to install it himself. He did not charge us a penny. I have never experienced this sort of honesty or customer service! I will use them in the future for any plumbing needs!
This company does good work but their rates are way too high compared to the plumbers I normally use who also do good work. Over $800 for one man for two hours. My normal plumbers would have sent out two men and two hours would have been no more than $300. Be aware when you call them.

Used Coronado on the recommendation of my regular plumbing company who could not respond in time for my rental house problem. Coronado sold my wife a 2 year $1500. warranty on root removal. One year, almost to the day, Coronado refused to honor it by stating waste material was blocking the line. Called my plumber who came out cleared the line and took camera shots of the roots that trapped the material! Coronado does not return calls. My regular Plumber forgave the bill as an apology for recommending Coronado.
DO NOT USE CORONADO!
I called Al Coronado Plumbing because I saw their vans around town. As you might have guessed, I did not come to Yelp prior to calling them. I see now that many reviews are quite old and I would like to share my own experiences with this company.
I had quite a nasty clog that we couldn't resolve with the typical over-the-counter chemicals and a 10ft snake. I called Al and they had a technician out to me within an hour and this was two days after Christmas. The technician was efficient, professional, and had the clog cleared within about 30 minutes. He and my husband did a full walk-around of the house to ensure that all areas of our plumbing were working smoothly after the clog was removed.
The price we paid was slightly less than the original phone estimate and in my opinion, quite reasonable. In all, I was impressed and would definitely call upon them for services at my home again.
Good to know there are still good 'ol fashioned men of integrity running around this town. Wouldn't call anyone else. Yes, Al is a real guy and for him, the customer is king. Al is a class act and trains his people to be classy, too. Wouldn't call a different plumber even if it was free.

I've been working with Al Coronado Plumbing for several years now. We have been in a few bad situations where we needed a plumber out FAST and all it ever took was a phone call to Al to get my plumbing issue fixed. There were several times that he DIDN'T EVEN CHARGE ME because we have been a long time customer! I will continue to do business with Al Coronado for years to come!
With Plumbers......Good service doesn't come cheap and Cheap service is almost never good.
One more thing. If you give them a try please tell them that I sent you!
Awesome professional service. The are careful to keep the work area clean and safe while they work; they explain the work and pricing up front and are very through when answering your questions. The employees seem happy with their profession and employer. Would recommend them for ALL your plumbing needs.

Bottom Line... I am thrilled that I picked Al Coronado Plumbing. From the first meeting for the job estimate with Alex, his professionalism was off the charts. I had three other companies come to bid the job, but Alex is the only one who thoughts outside the box to be able to fit my needs. He found a solution and did not break the bank.
Then for the install we had Gabe and James come out and they simply could not have been any better. A great team, with awesome attitudes and exceeded our expectations. Half way through the job they found faulty (Broken) worked covered up by a previous plumber. They could have simply moved on, but instead they alerted me to it and made sure we were aware. This saved me potentially thousands down the road by being able to fix it now for far less money.
Al Coronado will now be the only plumbing company we use.
We needed a flange and new seal on our toilet. Bigger job than I thought and very well done. Alby came out to do the work and was a very nice guy. Didn't make you feel like you had a stranger in your home. More like a good friend. They are a very professional company and know their stuff. You may find cheaper but you get what you pay for. Very happy with the work and Alby and all the employees we have come in contact with. You can't go wrong using this plumber.

We I divided the number of hours it took to get the job done, it was about $200 an hour. I should have been a plumber! They got the job done and they came the day after I called. If you want or in a hurry, their your company

I had helped set up an appointment for a client to have some basic work done. The toilet that wasn't leaking just needed to be RE-caulked per the buyers request. Afterwards, it was leaking and then she had to struggle to get them to come back out. Then, they actually tried charging her again. The plumber who did the work was very nice, but other than that it was a bad experience and I felt responsible for recommending them and having my client go through all the frustration. They did eventually agree that she shouldn't be charged, but I overheard the conversation and the customer service representative was very rude. It was highly unprofessional. I only think they backed down because the homeowner mentioned that she was an attorney. It was an extremely unpleasant experience.
Had a leak in the hot water recirculation line. Called Al Coronado plumbing and Marty came out to review the situation. Turns out the company that installed our hot water heater two years ago didn't do it to housing specs.
Marty did a complete analysis of the installation and recommended redoing the installation as it had many shortcuts and not robust. Gabe came out to do the actual reinstallation and did an outstanding job. It's like artwork. It took a while to complete but Gabe stuck with it until it was done right. The job wasn't inexpensive but final results are worth it and should last a long time!
Carrie, Service Tech from Al Coronado Plumbing, arrived close to the scheduled time for appointment wearing a mask and was very pleasant and efficient. Our plumbing issues were fixed within an hour's time! I would recommend Carrie, and Al Coronado Plumbing to all!

I had a problem with a leak in the garage and old faucets in the bathroom that wouldn't turn off - so I called Al Coronado Plumbing for help. Marty Oros and Brad did the work. They called when they were on the way. It was a big job and I ended up needing a new hot water heater. I had a Kenmore that was replaced after another Kenmore failed and was still under warranty. The new one was only a year and a half old and I decided not to mess around with yet a third one. It took a lot of work as the pipes are PVC and are about 42 years old and and difficult to work with but everything looks great now and I love my new faucets and hot water heater. Thanks guys!
I am updating my review of Al Coronado Plumbing based on their timely response and accountability for the problems encountered. My review was followed up by an email and a phone call by Management to better understand the situation we encountered. Upon further discussion, the offered to refund the full amount that we were charged. I suggested that we should be charged for the time and part they installed, however they insisted that this did not correct the problem and were insistent on the full refund. I am very impressed with the follow up by Al Coronado management to resolve this situation quickly to ensure that I was pleased with the outcome. Thank you Al Coronado! I am willing to try again for future plumbing needs.
I had a positive experience with the workmanship and professionalism of the person sent by Al Coronado, but this cost was breathtaking. He worked steadily for four hours, plumbed in about 10' of copper and installed a 19 gallon heater. The cost I felt was excessive for what was done. I may feel different, had there been a breakdown for me of material costs, labor costs, travel and appointment costs. the work was professional, but the cost was too high at $1900.++.

This is the third time using Al Coronado plumbing. The first time was a complete bathroom remodel which took 2 weeks (I felt that they rushed the bathroom in the master bath). The second time was to fix the sewer line from the house to the main sewer at the street. This time - which is why I'm writing the review - is to completely redo the water and sewer in the house (built in 1959) for our washer (which was gerry rigged). It's not the fact that they are doing a crappy job - which they don't, it's just that they are taking way longer to do the work than they told us. We both work night shifts. They were late on the first day they were supposed to start due to being pulled to another job. Now on day 4, the guy was almost done with the kitchen sink drain when he got pulled to another job because they were short plumbers. As a result, I was without my kitchen sink. I had to wash my dishes outside in the backyard, in the heat. I feel that people may not care about this, but I want you to go without using your kitchen sink for over 24 hours. I felt like my business is not valued as a customer (as much money we have spent using their business). So here we are again at day 5 - which I have to be at work by 6pm. Again I will not get any sleep. They do not value my time or business. I feel that they can do this because they are in the middle of a job and they know we need them.
I got a quote from these guys to rebuild 2 toilets. Based on how long it took the other company I hired to do it, their quote came to $300 an hour for labor and 25% more for the parts.

Al Coronado Plumbing advertises they bill by the job not by the hours, which is true, however a recent estimate for a simple toilet wax ring reset bordered on the ridiculous including blatant upselling. After waiting a week for service, a young tech came out alone, glanced at the toilet, which leaked water at the floor line when flushed, and he declared, 'based on its 22 years age, the floor flange in the floor was corroded and needed replacing.' Without any hands on examination, he retreated to write up detailed estimate options, (#1) Install new floor flange $714, (#2) reset toilet $471. I was to sign authorizations and they would reschedule to return with job parts and equipment, I gave him a firm polite refusal. I called another plumbing company that I had used to install a water heater, they sent out an experienced plumber with helper the same day. He lifted the toilet, found the wax seal had failed, the flange and tie down bolts were fine. He cleaned up the area, placed in a new wax seal and reset the toilet in about an hour, with a charge of just over $125. No leak, Let the buyer beware!
I have had the pleasure of working with the good folks of Al Coronado Plumbing for close to three years now. I have worked directly with Daniel, Ben, and even Al himself on numerous occasions. I am impressed by the professionalism their staff displays. They are warm, humble, and extremely knowledgeable. If I ever have a plumbing problem, they will be my first, last, and only phone call.
Al Coronado Plumbing had done some previous work for us in July which cost us quite a bit of money to repair. Last week we had the same issue. I was upset and called them back thinking it was going to cost another chunk of money. They sent technician Marty out to look. He was a very nice guy and cleared the stoppage for us at no charge. He came back out 2 days later with his manager Ben, another extremely nice guy. Even though the previous work was technically out of warranty, they diagnosed the problem and referred us to the company that could fix it and didn't charge us a penny! Al Coronado will be our go to company for any future plumbing issues and I highly recommend them. A big thank you to Ben and Marty! You guys definitely know what customer service is all about!

Very satisfied with the quality of work (Joseph E) and sticking to it, even when parts had to be run for more than once. I had a natural gas line extended for a grill, and while it turned out to be a lot more expensive than I was guessing, it took Joe a long time to get the job done (2 days). So very happy with how it all was done.
We just had safety bars installed in our two bathrooms. First, we met with Marty, who plainly and fully explained the extent of the service we required, and then carefully and clearly explained the terms of our order. Then the next week one of the company's plumbers, Tyson, arrived to do the installation. He verified the service he was about to render, was careful with the amount of wall space he needed to cut into to find the necessary studs in each wall to use for bracing the bars. He attacked the project conscientiously, and cleaned up very thoroughly before leaving. We're very happy with the service we received from Al Coronado's employees and will be using Coronado in the event we have need for capable plumbing in the future.
Last year when Al Coronado installed our water heater, we took out a maintenance agreement. This year when they came out, I expected a quick look over. I was pleasantly surprised at the time that was spent to check each and every place in my home that had plumbing, even the outside hoses. I also expected the plumber to find something so they could charge me for something. Not so! He found nothing wrong so the visit was free according to the agreement. They had previously replaced all the fixtures in my home, and I was totally satisfied. Even allowed us to pick out the fixtures at the store that we wanted and they installed them.
This is the third time we have used Al Coronado plumbing and we are so pleased with their service. We had John H come down and install our water softener. He worked very hard and did an amazing job. He's very respectful and courteous. If you want the job done right give them a call.

Highly recommend.

My outside water faucet and line developed a leak over night and I was unable to get it fixed by a neighbor friend. I called Al Coronado Plumbing and they sent out a repairman that same day. Kevin was very knowledgeable and quick to access the problem. He acquired the parts and was able to fix the issue within 24 hours. He was polite and left my patio as clean as it was before the leak. I would use them again; if the need ever arises.

We had a water leak in a pipe near the back house. I exposed the pipe. They came out the day I called. The gentleman was professional and did a good job. The problem? About $200/hr. The explanation was that they do not charge by the hour, they charge by the job. Yes, I agreed to the amount, but the company I usually use (it would take them two days to take care of this one) gives me a price and if it takes less than their hourly rate, that is what they charge. If it goes over, I pay more.
Yes, in an emergency and when I have money to burn, I may call, but this is ridiculous.
They sent 2 men to check my running toilets. As soon as they walked in one man without even seeing the bathrooms said the house looked old (we live in a fairly newer subdivision) and that we probably need new toilets. Then after waiting a half hour and a supposed $200 discount they quoted me $640 for two simple toilet fixes. Needless to say I hired someone else who charged me $240.
Stay clear of this company, they will try to overcharge you if you let them
they came out and quoted us $612 and said that because they had to bring equipment onto the roof that it was very heavy and dangerous that is why the cost was what it was, we refused to pay that outrageous quote and they brought it down to $350 WOW!!! that's a big deduction, wish now we hadn't done any business with them but it was an emergency and used them anyways, they overcharge and try to get away with it......reason we called them in the first place was to give family business our support but not the case and will never use Coronado plumbing again!!

I am posting a 5 star review for the quality of workmanship and the folks I interfaced with face to face. Workmanship, explanations and cleanliness were great.
I am posting 1 star for price and management response. I, niavely, accepted a $1495 charge for a toilet. That's not with installation. The installation was another $1500. After install and not appreciating that this toilet seemed to be worth much more than any other, I found this toilet to be priced between $600 and $700 anywhere else. Over 100% markup is unexpected in my world. I was ready to accept this as a learning experience and leave it that I just would not use them again. The Person at my home was concerned that I was not happy so I was placed on the phone with a management person. It became clear that this person wanted to talk about everything but the price when my only issue was the price. This person was simply someone who was practiced in diversion and the wearing down of anyone with a complaint. I was already convinced not to use Al Coronado plumbing due to pricing but I was not adamantly disapproving. After my conversation I now am adamantly sure I will never use nor recommend Al Coronado plumbing again.
PS: I am from Tucson, not San Francisco.
I don't know why my original review from a few years ago is, mysteriously, no longer up. I had to throw them off the job for wrecking my house - tearing out the vanity and drywall in the master bathroom, cutting the tile without dust control and making silica dust go throughout the house, digging a trench in my front yard and lots of mess throughout the house. There was not choice but to throw them off the job. It took a maid service to clean up the silica dust, a drywall repair man to fix the drywall, drycleaner to launder the linens, a handyman to fill the trench, additional gravel to fill and us for lots of general clean up.
Also, I hired a real plumber who did the proper tests. He found that there was no pipe where they were cutting the tile and no pipe where they were digging the trench in the yard. Also, and most importantly, that there was NO problem with the plumbing at all.
Do not ever, ever, even think about hiring Al Coronado!!!

Al Coronado has been to our condo twice and has done a good job. Once they solved toilet problems, and the next time they put in a hot water heater and cleared a blockage of the sewer pipes. All works well. Nice guys to work with.
Had used Al's Coronado plumbing at 2 different homes- service is beyond excellent- why can't I leave 10 stars??!!!! A special shout out to Megan on the dispatch team- Al, this young woman needs a raise! Her professionalism, heightened customer service skills and attentiveness to her clients needs to the best of the best! Great job to all the team!
Marty came out to review the need for a section of cast iron piping which I went over with him. He came back with a proposal which I accepted only to get a call latter in the day from him saying he had made a mistake and they could not do the work and told me to find another plumber. Not a professional service on their part after spending several days with him to figure out the work to be done. I will never call this firm again and will share the bad experience with others.
I needed a plumber since my toilet would not stop running and made a loud vibrating sound.
Tried every home remedy but afraid because of the vibration .
I called Al Coronado because of the reviews and they are absolutely right.
Xavier came out within 48 hrs and he was great.
Followed all pcps, was very patient and informative.
Since he didn't really have to do any work he did not charge me... What? Unheard of
I highly recommend this company as honest reliable and not a rip off.
Kind, knowledgeable and professional. Had a bad experience with another company as well as an emergency that needed immediate attention. They squeezed me in on a Saturday and came right out!

This company charges way too much for its services. $172 just to repair (not replace!) a garbage disposal is way too much! We'll use a different plumbing company next time we have an issue! I suggest you do the same so you don't get ripped off too!!!

Alfonso of Al Coronado Plumbing did a great job today! He came out on a holiday (Labor Day) after I called them the night before to report a leaking stainless steel braided gas water heater supply line, which suddenly started spraying water everywhere. Luckily, I was home and turned off the main water supply immediately. FYI, if you ever leave your house for a couple days or more, make sure to turn off your house's water supply.
He originally quoted me $350.00 to replace the leaking 12 stainless steel flex pipe. After mentioning that this seemed quite expensive for such a small job, he did some extra work for me and took $25.00 off for a coupon I had on my refrigerator, bringing the total to $325.00 with a 2-year warranty. He installed a second stainless steel flex pipe for the water heater and also drained/flushed the unit using my garden hose going outside to my patio (which for some reason he originally quoted me $650.00 to do). The fact that he wore booties to protect my floors and took the time to explain what he was doing was a nice touch. He also gave me a quote to install a new 40-gallon Rheem gas water heater with a '7-year maintenence plan' (they come out to flush the unit once-yearly) for $1,850.00, which seems incredibly overpriced. Overall, I'd say the service I received was good and their response time was quick, especially for after hours on a holiday. I'd reccomend that anyone that uses them make sure they are getting a fair market price for ANY job they do, as the pricing definitely seems to be on the higher side.
First of all, I got a same day appointment, which is unheard of in Tucson. Marty showed up on time and was professional and super helpful explaining the problem. He fixed our kitchen sink stop up quickly! Will def call this company again.

Fantastic service. We thought we had one leak in the kitchen that was actually three. Nick from Al Coronado found all the leaks, ordered all the needed parts, gave us status updates every step of the way, and was always on time, friendly, knowledgable, and professional. He even came in on his day off to finish the job sooner. Thank you, Nick. Great business. You are not going to find better in Tucson.

good experience with them. Called for a main line clog, Michael and Vic came out. Took a lot of time to figure out the issue and as Michael said when it would not clear this is getting personal he got it cleared after a lot of work. The estimate stayed the same as quoted.

POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE! Called and scheduled an appointment. Was given a window of 10 am to 2 pm. Called on day of appointment around 1 pm to follow-up thinking I might have missed their call due to my phone being off. Was told they didn't call and that technician would be arriving approx. 2 pm. Technician calls me at 1:45 to say the job they are working is giving them problems and could I reschedule for next day. I couldn't due to other commitment. He said he would inform dispatch. I received call from dispatch hour later that said by 4 pm a tech would be there. At 4:20 still no tech and I called dispatch and got voice mail. That was it!! I left a message to cancel request. 10 minutes later 4:30 get a call that tech is on the way.....Too late, it would almost be 5 pm by the time tech arrives. Wasted a day of vacation from work to no avail!!!

I had an emergency and a plumber arrived within 2 hours of my call, fixed the problem quickly and was very pleasant and professional.
I have been using Al Coronado for over a year. They did work on my toilet a year ago. The toilet has given me problems and every time I call they come out promptly, and fix the toilet for no charge. This has happened 3 times. Today my toilet stopped up again, and I called and they sent out Brenden. He fixed the problem, but suggested a new toilet at their cost, as it has been a reoccurring problem. I agreed to the new toilet. They will pick it up and install it for me at no charge. This has got to be the BEST plumbing company of all time. Brenden is fantastic, and I couldn't be happier with their service and expertise. Thanks Al Coronado
I needed the drain for my washing machine unplugged. They recommended replacing part of the drain system behind the wall as well as the section that the washing machine drain hose connects to and cleaning out the line. Tyson was the individual who performed the work. He did an outstanding job removing and replacing the various sections of pipe. The end product looks top notch. He left the area very neat and clean. He gets five stars. I'm completely satisfied with his work. The only reason I didn't give the company five stars is that based on the amount of time to accomplish the job and the materials used, and accounting for a measure of profit, I think the price was significantly higher than I would have expected. If I hadn't known what the price was before the job was done, I would have guessed the price to be about half of what it actually was.
Al Coronado Plumbing came out to perform an evaluation of the condition of the plumbing at our office because the plumbing in our building is rather old. The technician was very thorough and professional in assessing the condition of the plumbing in the break room, men's and women's bathrooms, and also the hot water heater. He discovered some issues that we need to address and was excellent in communicating very clearly why the repairs were needed and what the costs of the repairs would be. I would recommend contacting Al Coronado Plumbing to service your business.

Al Coronado's plumbing was very quick to respond to our phone call to come out and look at a leaky faucet. It needed more than a quick fix and once we received the estimate they had a man here to do the work in two days. Rincindo the plumber sent to do the job was very polite, professional, got the job done in the heat of the day. He kept us informed as to what he was doing and when he had to leave for parts. He left us know when he was finished with the job and left the worksite very neat and back to its original appearance. He had to move large rocks, gravel and dig a hole. He put the dirt mound on a tarp so he would not get dirt into the surrounding gravel. He could not have been more pleased with the job, Kevin the estimator and Rincindo (not sure I spelled his name correctly). Thank you for a job well done on Saturday, June 6,
Kevin and Rincindo!

Everyone knows that plumbing issues are a nightmare. Up front I will say this company went above and beyond to make this nightmare as livable as possible. We have an old house, built in 1952 with old pipes. After having the sewer line to the road replaced a few years with a different company, paying an outrageous amount of money with disinterested plumbers, I chose to go with Al Coronado this time because they did work 25 years ago for me in the kitchen and it lasted all that time. To make a long story short, we had a sewer pipe break that needed a clean up team, insurance adjusters and renovation experts, not to mention more plumbing work. I can tell you that with everything that happened, (we had people in and out of our house for 3 weeks) the job was done right, to last, with the most pleasant team. Then my hot water heater died. At this point I am beside myself. Brandon had called to finish up the billing on the plumbing contract and I told him, You're never going to guess what happened! When I told him, his first response without hesitating was, I'll come out and take a look right now. So in one day I had a new water heater, an upgraded vent system (knew that was coming) and a good deal on the work since so much other work had been done. You may pay a bit more (I'm guessing 10%) but they don't add a surcharge or convenience fee when you use a credit card (I am running into that a lot lately) and the work is done right.

This is absolutely the WORST company I have ever dealt with in ANY capacity! Had a main water line break at a rental property I have. It was close to 5:00pm so I called Al Coronado since I had seen them on TV. They sent someone out within the hour. The service tech (I.e. Scam Scout) called me and told me that the whole line needed to be replaced and that it would cost $4,100 + tax!! He said they could install a temporary line so the tenants would have water. I asked him if I could just pay them for the temp line and get some bids in the morning. He said No... They don't do that. He said that I had to accept the entire job otherwise they would remove the temp line and my tenants would be left without water. Before I arrived to sign his proposal, he dug a small hole (in mud, mind you), pulled out the section of pipe that had broken (with his hand) and that was it. After I signed the proposal, he became very giddy. The next morning I called my regular plumber and he told me he could do the same job for $1600. I immediately called Al Coronado back and cancelled the entire job. About an hour later, the Scam Scout called me to verify that I cancelled. I told him yes I had. He said he would still have to charge me for the labor involved in digging the hole and attaching the temp line. (The temp line consisted of connecting a ball valve to the water main and attaching a garden hose from the main to the house). $485!! I actually didn't think they would have the balls to charge me that much for what they did, but a couple of days later there was a $515 charge on my credit card. I called to complain and after much BS, I was told that the tech was written up and I would receive $100 off the bill. I was not happy but he said that was the best he could do. I could go on and on, but suffice to say this company is a RIPOFF from top to bottom. Do yourself a favor and read the reviews on these guys wherever you can - including Angie's List. You won't want to use them either...
John Hall was outstanding! Next day service with no hassle. After using an all in one company (heating, cooling, plumbing) and learning our lesson. We'll now only use Al Coronado for Professional Plumbing Services at a reasonable cost!

Edward and andrew were great. Super honest and very knowable. I higgly recommend them and i appreciate their expertise..
Great service. They responded quickly for a plumbing emergency and were friendly and helpful. We will definitely be calling them again.
this company just left my house and did a Fantastic job... Im not sure what they other reviews are but i got the customer info from yelp and they did a great job and priced it a bit high but they justified it with nice clean work. I don't know if we are talking about the right company but I read the reviews and my experience was totally different. I would recommend them to anyone else.. they were great
Coronado is good about scheduling an appointment for service within a reasonable time period and they are good about following up to see how we liked them. That said, I had to pay them to go away. Because I was just out of their service area (we live in Catalina) we were charged an $80 fee that was to be put toward the repair of a sink basket. I thought, No problem, $80 should just about cover the cost. Au contraire, they wanted over $400 to replace the part! We had them quote other items as well. The quotes were for 3 times what our other plumbers charged and in once case he wanted to provide an expensive repair for something that wasn't even broken. We were also told that we would receive a discount if we gave a good on-line review. That did not sit well; I did not use their services; and had to pony up the 80 bucks. If you have so much money that you use $100 bills to light your cigars.... call these guys.

We had used Al Coronado to fix a burst pipe that had turned into a geiser in the front yard. They quickly put in a temp line to get us taken care of for the night and replaced the entire run from the main to the house the next day. In the rain no less. The price was up there, but I have had no issues with the work since.
We had our main water shutoff valve replaced by Chris Thompson of Al Coronado Plumbing. He did a very professional job under extremely hot conditions. We were completely pleased with this repair.

These guys are the worst. Kevin is a bold faced liar. He told me my entire drainage system had to be replaced. Quoted me a price of $30,000. I didn't trust him and got them out of my house and got it repaired by Best Price Plumbing for only $700. Do not call these guys. Do not let them in your house or you'll be sorry.
I have used them over and over for a good reason. Their knowledge is exceptional. Their communication is superb. I would not trust any other company with plumbing repairs.

I needed my bathroom sink and toilet lines cleared after another company had done some remodeling and apparently had forgotten to flush the lines and cleared them of debris. Marty was great! He identified the problem quickly and had it fixed within 30 minutes.
Thank you Marty!
In follow up of my review of 12/15; They did NOT finish because I threw them off the job! They are TERRIBLE!!!!! They damaged my house and caused me a fair amount of expense to correct their stupidity. At some point incompetence turns into dishonesty.

Called regarding water main pipe crack. It was roughly $760 to repair but service was prompt, professional and done correctly. I will call them in the future as needed. Hopefully I won't require them often. lol
I am a native Tucsonan, and always like to deal locally. I had an urgent, but not life-threatening plumbing issue today and called Al Coronado. After a but of phone tag, I reached a pleasant woman named Michelle, explained my situation, and asked if someone could be sent out in the next few days. She then asked if I was a regular customer. Frankly I couldn't remember if I had had them out before, since I have lived in this house for over 40 years. She then politely told me that she would be happy to send me a coupon and put me on a 'reference list' but they were TAKING NO NEW CUSTOMERS.
Then why do they run advertisements daily on local TV? I wasted a whole morning in dealing with a plumbing issue when I could have contacted another firm. If they are dishonest about their advertising what else are they dishonest about? VERY DISAPPOINTED.

Well, I find this interesting that THREE YEARS after the fact, there is a response to my review. All I have to say is, at the time that this was happening, there was no attempt by anyone from the company to reach out and make things right. Though I do appreciate the tone of his response, I really do not know what he is talking about in his reference to procedures and protocols. Unless he is referring to his plumber calling the main office to figure out how to do the job and how to do the job in the most expensive way possible that is totally out of the realm of reasonable and honest cost. He also says, at least I think he was saying in his response, that he refunded above the service fee, which in this case would have been $100. He did not. He only refunded the $65.
Just read the other one star reviews and you will get an idea of what to expect from this company.

Marty, our service technician, from Al Coronado Plumbing is very professional and skilled at his job. He checked out our toilet problem, decided what steps to take and completed the job. Wouldn't have known he was here because he left the bathroom as clean as he found it. Kudos to Marty for a job well done!
Yesterday we discovered that we had clogged drains in the kitchen of our house. About 2 hours later, Julian arrived at our home and began working to get the clog cleared. He had a very professional and knowledgeable manner about him and wanted very much to solve the problem. He was careful to insure that he in no way dirtied our home. He used a snake to clear any clogs located, and quickly ascertained that the problem lay between our house and the main sewer line. Since we have a contract for service on outside lines, he picked up his equipment and thanked us for calling Al Coronado Plumbing. There was no charge for the service, although he was here for about 1-1/2 hours. Very good service.
Poor communication, lack of knowledge re: insurance and outrageous costs.
Wasn't impressed at all with the owner's son's pompous attitude.
I have to change the channel when their commercial comes on.
They reimbursed some of the money & fixed the new (unnecessary) in-ground clean outs so they are no longer sticking out of the ground for people to trip over in my backyard.

Al Coronado Plumbing has great guys who really do great service. They were realiable showed up in time as communicated, that was my biggest wow factor. Instead of leaving me in the blue about a timeframe or when they would even show up or if they wouldn't, their let me know when their ETA was. Once they arrived the got the leaky faucet in the kitchen taken care of which was minor but nonetheless it needed to be taken care of instead of using duct tape. Not only did they repair the leak, they cleaned up the whole kitchen work area from a mess that was there prior!! Who does that??? It's the tiniest little things they did this time that will guarantee my referrals in the future and my continued business. Stay awesome!
I highly recommend Al Coronado Plumbing, Great Customer Service, same day service, very personable, explained everything he was doing and why. . Even wore booties before he walked in the door! We will definitely use Al Coronado again :)

After a main line that ran under our pool deck broke, this company did a great job on a complete re-pipe from the city water source to the house and didn't have to cut up our pool deck. Rosendo and Logan did an excellent job on the repair and updated me along the way of the progress. There were no issues during the work. Great Job guys!
I called Al Coronado Plumbing after a friend's recommendation. A representative came to my house, looked around and told me my pipes were old cast iron, needed complete replacement, and gave me three contract options ranging from $18,000 to $22,000. He did nothing to check on my water line or my pipes. He just pressured me to sign one of the three very expensive contracts. I was in shock, did not want to buy into financing with them, and said I would think about it. Thank goodness! My pipes are copper, leak fixed with solder and replacement piece, about $400. I would never use or recommend Al Coronado. They should be investigated for shady practice. Don't buy into their pressure tactics and don't believe anything they tell you without getting a second opinion.

Whatever you do, please DON'T EVER use Al Coronado Plumbing!!! Despite their advertising to the contrary, you will NOT want to use them. EVER! They came to our house to check for a leak, charged a fortune, made a mess, didn't fix the problem and didn't even bother to put the fixtures back! We won't make that mistake again! BOTTOM LINE: DO NOT RECOMMEND
A new comer to Tucson, I called Al Coronado Plumbing because of the TV add. I was not disappointed, Kevin came and gave me a detailed and comprehensive explanation of my problem and what it would take to fix it. He was in no rush to complete his task, I and my problem was his only concern. Miguel showed up that afternoon to install a new hot water heater. He was meticulous in his work completing the project well into the early evening. He explained and showed me in detail the work that he did and cleaned up after he was done. I would not hesitate to call them again if needed.

Julian came out and did a thorough job of replumbing under my kitchen sink, replacing the broken dishwasher hose connection and removing old
occluded drain pipes. A big improvement- now no smell from my drains! He was personable, and explained everything very clearly. Very fast response time and a good price for a job well done!
Kitchen sink plugged up on Saturday night and couldn't unplug it myself after fooling with a handmade wire-rooter+power drill, so I called a bunch of plumbers Sunday morning and Al Coronado was the only one that picked up. They had a guy over by 9am. Price to power-rooter 60' of kitchen was ~$250'ish. I have no idea if the price range for plumbing, so can't comment much, it seems expensive but then Bobby S. was prompt, polite, and professional and THERE. No one else responded and it was a weekend, so I'm OK with paying a premium for responsive service when the dishes are piling up and I tired of being elbow deep in drain-gunk.
He did an excellent job, provided good advice, and was incredibly responsive, which in my mind, is exactly what I want when a sink/toilet/etc is overflowing.
I will never call this company again, they tried to rip me off and prematurely cashed a check before I confirmed agreement to the work. I had a pipe burst outside and they gave me a quote of between $7100-7800 depending on if I wanted PVC or copper. Instead of cutting directly in a straight line through concrete, they wanted to wind through the garden, twisting over the gas line, and refused to consider the other option because it's ugly even though we said we wanted the most affordable option. They also insisted on doing some cosmetic thing with river rocks that apparently added to this exorbitant price. I was stressed as a new homeowner and wasn't sure what I was doing, so nervously agreed to pay half upfront and wrote a check. I called the next day saying to not cash my check because I'm getting more quotes. This was within the timeframe I had in the contract to cancel. I got 2 more quotes, one in the $2000 range and another a little below that with an additional discount. Both said they would never go through the garden and mess with the gas line, and that cutting straight along the pipe line is the most efficient and affordable option and that's what they would recommend. They also said using copper outside and underground, going from the house to irrigation, would be silly and PVC is the better way to go (and more affordable, too). Unbelievable! Al Coronado tried to charge me almost 4x as much and were hoping to get me to choose unnecessary and extremely expensive options. When I canceled with them, they told me they had already cashed my check and I'd have to wait 1-2 weeks to get my money back! They shouldn't have even cashed my check in the first place. I got no apology. I received a check to get my own money back (about $3400 by the way) for work never done a week and a half later, and another card thanking me for my business with a magnet enclosed? I obviously threw that away. I'm now on their holiday cards mailing list and find it astonishing they have the audacity to send this to me. Apparently, friends, family, and even my insurance agent all knew to never call these people because they charge incredibly high (I found out after sharing this story).
We originally had called another plumbing company to come out but they had a lot of no's or can't do. So we called Al Coronado plumbing and our first encounter was with Charli. She set the tone for the whole experience and was very good and insured us that the job would get done and get done right. It ended up being a lot more work involved so we had multiple people come out to complete the work. Xavier, Jesus, Brandon, Adam, Alvie, and Kevin all were very dedicated to making it right. Xavier and Kevin especially went out of their way going above and beyond to help at my dads house. Very appreciative to the team for helping out and fixing my dad's plumbing issues. Highly recommend.
I had to get my house replumbed. I got 4 quotes from local companies for the job. The quotes came in at $3500, $3800, and $4200, and then Al Coronado came in at $16,000. The gentleman Al Coronado to give me a quote was more of a salesman than a plumber. All four companies quoted using exactly the same materials and exactly the same processes to complete the job. Of course the guy was kind enough to offer me an extended warranty for only $4000 more. LOL! My wife asked me how they stay in business. I responded off the 1 in 10 suckers that actually uses them. Don't be that sucker.

I'll never call these people again. Friday night and there's water in my yard so I do some exploratory digging. Turns out the water main is leaking so I call these guys. Tech shows up about 30 minutes later and he's friendly and knowledgeable. He tells me that logically we need to diagnose the problem before we can figure out the solution and that makes sense. So he starts digging. The existing pipe is in a sleeve so it's hard to determine where the leak is so he digs a bit more. He can't find the end of the sleeve so he comes up with an estimate. Blue stake, have a crew dig 20' to the house, replace the line with copper, replace ALL of the valves (which are only 7 years old) including the irrigation box, fill trench, and replace yard rock. $4200.
So I get up early in the morning and finish digging another 4 feet and find the end of the sleeve. Now at this point all that needs to be done is replace a 6' section of 1 PVC. The trench is open and I said I'd fill it myself. I'm a handy person. I mig weld and do electrical and other plumbing things. You know, head CTO at my house. I'd just like a professional to do the solvent weld on my main water line since it's mission critical. All he has to do is cut a section of pipe and glue both ends in the trench. Parts could not have been more than $10. Simple right? They wanted $1100. Yeah no. Not paying that. Deans plumbing did it for $125 and it took 20 mins. As he was leaving my neighbor walked over and needed Dean to quote a job so good for him.
Did a look up of their google reviews and not surprisingly all the 5 star reviews are by reviewers with only ONE review. The deceptive power of the internet should never replace being knowledgeable and common sense. I'm sure the reply to this will be full of platitudes and chest thumping about their 4.1 star web presence, but I don't buy any of it including their pricing.

Great service from Tyson at Al Coronado Plumbing. We had a plugged drain on a Saturday and called Al Coronado. Al Coronado Plumbing has a quick response rate! My mom had an issue with their water heater, originally purchased through Al Coronado Plumbing, and after several attempts to fix I spoke with Andrew and the company decided to replace my mom's water heater. They are responsive, efficient and incredibly customer service oriented. Couldn't have asked for a better experience!

The garbage disposal they put on about 2 years ago just fell off! It was not clamped on properly. Nor was the piping correct. On prior jobs they have missed appointments, and their staff is very spotty on their knowledge since Kevin moved on. We are very happy with Racys Plumbing now.

We received same day service (within 2 hours of our phone call!) and excellent customer service to boot. We highly recommend Al Coronado and continually use them for all of our plumbing needs.
Very helpful, efficient and accommodating! I very much appreciate Marty's help with our broken water heater and how quickly Julian and Eddie(Edward) got the new one installed.
Called these people to fix a constantly running toilet. They were more than a day late showing up then quoted me $468.00 to replace the valve and flapper in the toilet tank. I told the technician the complete toilet could be replaced for less money. He shrugged his shoulders and said that was their price. I told him thanks, but no thanks. He left and I promptly called someone else.

My first call to Al was Thursday about 2:00pm. I was told that dispatch would call me right back. Saturday about 4:30PM I called them.... I was told at that time they would have a technician be here between 10:00AM and 2:00PM Sunday. Well now it's 4:00PM Sunday and I now see the light. AL Coronado Plumbing SUCKS!
