At the young age of 14, Doug started working in the construction industry, with dreams of becoming a General Contractor. However, after being introduced to the A/C industry, he was intrigued and quickly gained a passion for it. It was then that he decided he wanted to specialize in Heating and Cooling. In the early years, with only 1 truck and a lot of sleepless nights, he worked hard to provide the highest level of customer service. This devotion, with years of education, certifications and hands-on training, have resulted in a strong following of repeat customers and steady referrals. This husband and father of 5 has become a success, by balancing his religious and family values, with his savvy business sense. Now, 15 years later, he has a fleet of trucks, and a reputation as a humble and honest man. His professional integrity and concern for this customers have established Doug, and the A/C Doctors, as a trustworthy and reputable HVAC contractor in the valley.

Great company!
I bought my mobile home 3 1/2 years ago. It had a 3 1/2 ton package unit, but reading the owners manual I noticed the return opening was much to small for the unit. I had many problems with it and in March it quit again, but was to expensive to repair. It was only 8 1/2 years old! I called six A/C companies for quotes. I try to do a lot of research on line, and I ask a lot of questions.They all said to replace it with a 3 1/2 ton unit, but never mentioned the small return opening. I called A/C Doctors and they sent out Julio. He said I didn't need a 3 1/2 ton unit, a 3 ton would handle my home. He also said to add another return and increase the size of the return flex duct. After six companies telling me I needed a 3 1/2 ton I wasn't sure if a 3 ton would work, so I talked to Alberto at A/C Doctors. Alberto backed up Julio and confirmed a 3 ton would work ( sorry I questioned you Julio!) Their quote, even with the duct work, was less than all the others.  So with confidence in A/C Doctors, I went with them. The installation team was on time, did professional work, and took pictures of everything they did. The 3 ton unit keeps my home cool on the hottest days, and my electric bill is less. A/c Doctors is a great company! Julio, and Alberto took their time and answered all my many questions, with patience.

My AC stopped working over a week ago during a heat wave of temps up to 116. My property management team was being very slow and unresponsive but AC doctors went above and beyond making many calls to help sort the situation out. Once we finally got approval from my property management at 3 PM on Tuesday they were out at my house by 7am on Wednesday to replace the unit. Pablo and Herman were friendly, knowledgeable, fast and thorough. The whole team has been a pleasure to work with and I will always use them for my AC needs in the future!

Not only did AC Doctors come out when I was desperate with an AC outage during the summer, but for a prorated amount they offered two inspections during a 12 month period.   Last week they called to remind me of my free inspection and schedule my appointment.  They just completed my inspection and I was pleased to hear that my systems are in good condition and they did not try to upsell me on anything.  The two technicians were courteous and very knowledgeable. These guys are awesome! Our AC went out late at night and Liz went above and beyond to get someone out that same night to help. Doug was amazing and worked until late trying to get us up and running. We ended up needing a new compressor, the tech Junior and his partner that came out the following Monday were very professional and great to work with.

Highly recommend! Fast response in record heat! Our AC went out and we were miserable. The AC Doctors worked tirelessly in over 100 degree temps to get us back up and running. They were professional and efficient. The ac system in our home is antiquated, but with their expertise it wasn't an issue. They followed all safety protocols and made us feel at ease. Finally! The technician that covered our appointment, Gerardo, was incredibly professional, courteous and thorough; he was very patient with us in making sure that we understood what he was seeing and what the cause could be. He showed us pictures/videos of his finding every step of the way and kept us informed. We will definitely be requesting him personally next time we need anything done. Spending money on repairs is never fun, but he really made us feel at ease and gave us the reassurance we needed to know we were not being asked to spend anything more than what was needed. His knowledge of A/C work is top notch.

The A/C Doctors were EXCELLENT from the setting the appointment for the estimate to the completion of the work. Moved into a new build home 5yrs ago and maintained my warranty work with the builders HVAC company. Of course when the warranty expires a inter coil has a leak in the Suite's unit and the cost was $3000 and up based on (4) estimates. When I contacted A/C Doctors they had someone out the same day I called for an appointment. They came out and gave me an estimate within hours.
The A/C Doctors estimate was  substantially less then the other HVAC companies. I called them the next day to proceed with the work and they scheduled the work the same day to be completed. The Service men showed at my door and completed the work in 2 1/2 hours later. They covered my tiled floors with tarps and insured they left with the area clean.  Great company to work with and will reach out for future annual maintenance.

This company is good at their profession.  My a/c unit was fixed in less than 1.5hrs for a price that was very negotiable and not too pricy. Luis and Juan installed a mini split in my garage 2 weeks ago. They did a fantastic job on the installation and went out of their way to get the correct bracket for the outside unit. They were on time, neat and very professional. They made sure that I knew how to operate the new system. It was a breath of fresh air to deal with them. I highly recommend AC Drs and if you have these 2 guys install then you have nothing to worry about. Great customer service

I've had great service from different A/C companies in the past even when the home was old and this experience was terrible. Slow to respond. Slow fo make contact. Really rude service. Argumentative. Not reassuring to the customer's needs at all. In a hurry to leave without making sure unit is working inside the house.

Their bad side manner is HORRIBLE. Worst in the valley.

How do you think I'm going to respond after that? You all have a lot to learn.

Not an active reviewer but this company is not the typical company.  

After having two other companies show up to 'diagnose' the issue, it became apparent they were only interested in helping themselves.  

AC Doctors finally came to the rescue.  Brendan showed up first.  Looked over the system and explained to us the issues.  Explained a plan that was easy to understand and  easy on our pocketbook.  One week later, we had the same issue return and then comes in Eric.  Same great service as Brendan and came with a plan since the issue was persisting.

Then comes Ann from the office.  She explained the quotes, services, warranties, and had it all planned out before I can even call to confirm with my credit card. She even had the installation time held for us just in case.  

There are times were you know you are dealing with good people and a good company.  AC Doctors is definitively is in select company.

My first experience with A/C Doctors was when I was a renter. They were so kind and professional to me during that time that they were my #1 choice for A/C service when I bought my home. Each encounter I have had with them over the years has been nothing short of perfect. It has been an absolute pleasure to interact with each person- both over the phone with office personnel and with the service technicians in person. They are fair, punctual, efficient, and honest. They have come last minute, late at night, helped me with preventative maintenance and emergency service, saved me money, given me peace of mind - you name it! When dealing with something as crucial as air conditioning in Arizona, it's imperative to use the best.  I truly believe A/C Doctors is the. Best. We have used A/C Doctors for several years now. It seems like they are always available, they accommodate our work schedules, they're prompt and always courteous. Yesterday, Ian B came out to the house for our semiannual system inspection. Found a couple issues that could have left us in the heat this summer. He kept us informed as he was working on things, and never tried to pressure us into buying something that wasn't needed. Our air conditioning went out at 9pm this evening. Called A/C doctors and they said they had an opening between 11pm and 1am. Gerardo was at the door at 10:40 pm which impressed us. He diagnosed our problem very quickly,  and the air was blowing cold in no time. He was very professional, and we feel the price was fair. We will not hesitate to use this company again.

I contacted AC Doctors today to inquire about getting an AC tune up.
I explained to the girl on the phone how my AC is blowing cold air, it just seems to be struggling to get my small condo down to the temp I desire. She then agreed with me, this is not an emergency situation.
So I am unclear as to why the first suggestion from her was to schedule to have a salesperson come to my home to sell me a whole new AC unit.
After declining this suggestion, her next suggestion was 3-10 year maintenance plan. Neither of these suggestions fit my initial request.
Clearly this company is looking to get all the money they can out of you, not actually help with what you need.

Air Doctors installed a new AC unit and a full new furnace last Sunday . They are very knowledgeable and great people to work with. I have had Jim and his crew cleaning my ac units for years. Yes yes YES!! WE FINALLY found a reliable ac company!! These guys are champs! Luis and Julian did our ac replacement unit and were the professionals you expect when you call pros out. They were AMAZING. I'm beyond thankful for their timeliness, professionalism and skills. Thank you a million times over!!

Now...we also called them out over the weekend for a different AC issue. I don't know our techs name but he was the most thorough tech Ive ever had out to the house in 10 years.  We have a warranty company and got tired of battling with their incompetence so decided to take matters into our own hands. I've never had a tech explain what was going on the way he did. They are my #1 company for ac now. Will never call anyone else. So thankful I found them!!

Needed emergency servicing for our AC unit. The team coordinated the scheduling well. The tech arrived on time. Even though it was quite late, he was friendly,  professional, courteous, efficient. So many HVAC companies in the valley.  These guys are honest and will do whatever it takes to get you up and running, (or cooling off).  Their technicians are the best.  Ask for Jackson.  Not only was he extremely knowledgeable but his customer service was nothing short of Nordstrom.

We scheduled a tune-up, but anticipated needing some repairs due to the age of our units. Gerardo was our technician, and he identified some things that needed to be replaced.
He showed us pictures and thoroughly explained everything. He was able to do all the repairs, except one, at this visit. He was knowledgable, patient, and efficient.
I hope AC Drs take care of him, because I think he could open his own business.

Todd with AC Doctors was out to my hous to do a preventative maintenace check of my HVAC unit. He found some issues with both my AC and Heater and showed me proof with pictures or by bringing the part to me from my unit.

Besides his honesty he was professional and I would recommend Todd and the AC Doctors to others!

Highly recommend, we were scheduled in the same day that I called, within a few hours.  A nice feature they provide is sending a text message prior to arrival with a photo of the technician.  Julio, the technician was very professional and knowledgeable about the process and operation of the system.   Everyone I spoke with at the office also did a great job handling any question or concern that we had.

A/C went out late Saturday night and Home Warranty wouldn't schedule someone right away. They had to process my claim first and then send out a technician. Long story short, technician finally called at 9AM, saying they couldn't come until Monday sometime. That doesn't work when it's predicted to be 120. In come A/C Doctors. Called and was able to schedule a technician to come out between 10 and 1. Got a call at 10:30 that they were in the neighborhood and could be there in a few minutes. Service was quick and when you desperately need A/C, price isn't really a concern. All in all, I'm very happy with the entire transaction. Would definitely call them again on short notice as they are very responsive.

Our AC unit was not cooling off and it was making a rattling sound. I contacted AC Doctors and a technician (Giovanni) came to my home right away. Giovanni explained our AC unit needed the capacitor replaced. He explained our options and was able to quickly replace the piece. Our AC unit was up and running in no time!

The tech was nice and thorough.  However, when I called to schedule the appointment and told them what the issue was, they told me it would be a $75 fee to send someone out but if there were repairs that they could do same day on-site they would waive that $75 fee.  

The tech told me he couldn't waive the fee and when I called the office to clarify they basically said I was given the wrong information.  When I mentioned that I relied on that representation when booking the service, they didn't offer to abide by what their employee told me.  They just said they would retrain on the issue.  

I'm disappointed I was given incorrect information and they didn't offer to stand by what I was told.  

If you are going to use them, make sure you understand what they are charging you for or get it in writing ahead of time.

Pablo and Edgar arrived to my home on time and very professional. Pablo did great by stating what he needed to access in order to complete the job from the start. Pablo and Edgar replaced the ac unit in my rented home quickly and respectfully (did not make to much noise while I was working from home).

Had air flow issues into a portion of our house. AC doctors sent over Justin and Armando and with in an hour they identified the issue and repaired it. They were both so kind and informative on what was wrong and what additional items could use repairs to avoid future problems.

If you want someone to come out and replace a $20 part in less than 30 mins and charge you $250, go ahead and call these guys. I can understand charging $100 - $150 to cover diagnostic, parts, labor, travel, but this is ridiculous. The good thing is it was fixed quickly, bad thing is that this should not be so expensive. Will not call them back.

Came home tonight to find my A/C not working and only blowing warm air (barely).  Called AC Doctors based on the Yelp reviews, them being local, and having a 24 hour service.  The lady I spoke to was very friendly and said the guys could be out in 1.5 hours and would be a $39 trip charge (very reasonable!).  The guys showed up early, quickly got to work, found the issue, replaced the part, cooled the motor, rinsed down the filters, spent a lot of time with me explaining what was the problems and gave me some suggestions on what to research when I get to the point of replacing my 10+ year old unit.  They did not try to sell me a new one, just offered guidance on what to consider.  Great customer service all around!!!  An hour after they arrived my house is already 5 degrees cooler!!Definitely would recommend this company and will use them again in the future!

These guys are a joke. Highly un recommended . The tech couldn't even use a sawzall properly (which they left the wood behind if you want pictures of the very uneven cuts ) and asked to borrow tools . I can provide pictures of the half a job done which includes not even caulking all air gaps after install, I had assist to install previous trim and the hours they charged for involved leveling the unit ! Which even involved a trip to Home Depot to get shims to level the unit , which is far from level if you want pics of that . So to install one window unit for over $1k . Yea ! A joke ! If they try to send you anyone!  Say no thanks !

Our 18 year old AC went out overnight, and we woke up to 83 degrees inside that got progressively worse as the temps outside reached 118 degrees.   Called A/C Dr's who sent Art out that day to arrange a new system. He was most helpful and caring during a stressful time. The unit was installed the next day as promised.  We cannot say enough good things about Ulisses!   His attention to detail and willingness to answer all our questions,  to help us get set up for remote access to the system, and ensure everything worked,  was exceptional.  So, too, a big thanks to Edgar and Issac!  They spent a good part of the 4 hours on the roof in relentless sun and wouldn't quit till the system was running to their liking.  They were a great team!

We're more than happy with the professional service provided by members of A/C Doctors.

Our AC suddenly started blowing air that was not cool around 6PM last night. I immediately began to assume the worst and was afraid I could be looking at spending thousands on a new AC.

We bought the house in 2014 and the AC was only 2 years old but the fan motor went out weeks after we moved in so I've been unsure about the unit since then despite the relatively young age.

I scoured Yelp looking for an AC company I might be able to trust and decided to contact AC Doctors. I had a plumbing contractor I found on Yelp try to blatantly overcharge me hundreds of dollars so I tend to be a little apprehensive when looking for a new contractor.

So I made the call at 6:45 and spoke to Charlotte who was very nice and tried to put me a little bit at ease. She said they could have someone out between 7PM and 10PM which I was relieved to hear. She told me I'd get a text or phone call before the tech showed up.

At 8:45 I got both a text and call from Doug who said he'd be there in 15 minutes. Doug and his partner Nestor showed up right at 9PM.

After a short time on the roof, Doug came back and said I had a bad capacitor and we were looking at $266 to fix it, plus a $40 trip charge. He also showed me some pictures he took with his phone.

I was very happy that Doug and Nestor were able to fix it and have cold AC blowing again by 9:35.

So from my first phone call to having my AC fixed was less than 3 hours and I thought the price we paid, while far from cheap, was OK for this kind of quick and friendly service at night.

I will contact these guys if I have an AC problem in the future. I am probably going to have them come out once or twice a year to do a check up since this whole experience and the prospect of potentially having to buy a new AC scared the crap out of me.

Professionals at its very best. The prices are unbelievable and the accommodations towards the customers are second to none. I had the pleasure to observe (Jose) a service worker in diagnosing and explaining the steps in troubleshooting my air conditioner.He was knowledgeable and confident that he was going to restore my equipment to full- operating condition. I had a problem with my Hayward Pool Heater.  I asked my pool service contractor if he could fix it or had any recommendations.  He gave me the name and number of Pete at AC Doctors.  Pete took my call, answered my questions, helped me figure out what was needed.  It was a rather simple fix of swapping out a part and he helped me get the part number and the part.  He was responsive to my calls and called me back when he said he would. I was very impressed with the work and the service. While my interaction did not end up with a service call, he provided a tremendous, time saving service for me.  I would highly recommend.

I cannot say enough good things about them. When I first needed to have somebody come out and look at my unit they were very fast to respond and explained everything very easily. My concern was the unit I needed them to service was at my rental property. They made it easy for me to set everything up over the phone and were able to make sure my tenants were taken care of quickly. I had another issue come up and I was worried something was missed with the previous services. Again they responded quickly and professionally and were able to get out to my rental the property the same day! To my relief it turned out to be user error and my AC unit worked fine. Their rates are great and as I woman I feel comfortable and confident using them instead of feeling like someone is trying to take advantage of the situation. I will use them for all my air conditioning needs and highly recommend them.

I am blown away! Eric was great. I'm a renter so my management company contacted them, and Im glad they did. My A/C wasn't cooling properly on a 118 degree day. I filed my maintenance request and 15 minutes later the AC company called. Being that it was 1pm on a Sunday I pretty much expected to get an apt tomorrow at the earliest. They work late knowing that we NEED our AC in AZ, and said we have 9pm to midnight available if that works. Of COURSE it did. I WAS HOT. Eric called around 5 and asked if he could come early if that worked for me. It did, and 2 hours later my house is cooling down again. Great service and friendly technician! When your AC isn't functioning getting service ASAP is imperative.  I was beyond happy with my service today and will be recommending them. Great job guys!!!

New AC Install: Very satisfied with the service! It was a fairly complicated install into our attic/crawl space. They were even here later than expected due to that, but managed to get the job done (and correctly) so we could have our new AC install completed for the night! We had put in for a rebate with SRP and they handled the paperwork for us promptly and correctly the first time and we got our rebate a few weeks later. We also received a nice little gift card in the mail today thanking us for the business, and OUR time. WOW! A little reminder on getting a free check up for the winter months approaching as well. What else can I say? We had gotten 8 bids on the new AC install and went with AC doctors and I am ONE HAPPY CUSTOMER! Thank you!!!!!!!!

If you are looking for an A/C company that puts customer satisfaction first, then look no further!  After YEARS of dealing with shady, untrustworthy, dubious, and dishonest A/C businesses, we finally discovered A/C Doctors!  What a refreshing change!  What a weight off our shoulders!  

Justin came out and serviced our unit today.  Hands down, he was the most thorough A/C tech that has ever examined our system.  He was friendly, personable, knowledgeable, and trustworthy.  The A/C company that we usually use had been out two weeks prior, and did a terrible job.  That tech did not clean our condenser properly, he made unnecessary recommendations, and he flat out lied about certain things concerning our unit.  Needless to say, we won't be using that company again!

I called AC Doctors after realizing my AC was a lost cause and the solution would be beyond my expertise (which is absolutely zero). I was helped on the phone by Elizabeth who was lovely to chat with, and within the hour (I called last minute on a Saturday night) their technician Ian arrived with a smile on his face to save the day. And he did just that - within literally 20 minutes! He patiently explained each step to what was wrong, what the solution was, and how he went about fixing it. He was professional, efficient and friendly as can be. Great price, and I can already feel the cool air circulating back into the house as I type this review. We've used different, well known companies every year to work on our ac unit, but A/C doctors really took time to figure out what the problem was. The technician (Julio) had shown me where the leaking was, & even took pictures of the areas found to be causing the problem, as well as the amount of coolant that was used to fill up the unit. The problem was explained thoroughly & options where provided to fix the problem. We then decided to put a dye in the unit to be able to really pinpoint the areas that needs to be fixed. Technicians came back promptly. Estimates where then provided & we came up with a decision to move on. After a few days, a technician (Connor) came in to install the accumulator & fix the rest that's leaking. Julio also came back to assist Connor. Everything really went great & I have to say that these guys really worked so hard to help us out as honestly as possible. Very impressed! I would really recommend these guys.

First time using AC Doctors, and I was very impressed. Professionalism was over the top. Our technician was extremely friendly, very observant of social distancing and COViD protections, and very detailed in his explanation of the diagnosis.

The price for the work performed was very agreeable and they didn't try to upsell me.

He got in and got the work done same day. He was very efficient and respectful of our house and did a superb job cleaning up.

After 10 years my Tempstar air conditioner and gas furnace installed by AC Doctors are still going strong. However, my Braeburn thermostat died. Shawn with AC Doctors came out on a Saturday and did a great job. I had just called that morning so service is quick. Price is reasonable and Shawn spent time to orient me to the working of the new thermostat.

For what it's worth these guys did send me a check to reimburse me for my hotel stay and their service fee, which they absolutely did not need to do. In fact, they offered without me even asking for it. I do believe this is an honest company and a mistake was probably just made in my case, since there were 2 things happening at the same time with our AC that probably complicated the diagnosis.

Our A/C stopped working around noon. I started making calls. Other companies cannot come until the following day. A/C doctor technician came in less than two hours. The technician diagnosed the issue within thirty minutes. A/C was frozen possibly due to lack of refrigerant. He let it melt down. He proceeded to check the attic going back and forth to the A/C unit. After an hour he solved the issue. $90 only which included the service call. My A/C unit has not been serviced in more than 10 years. I took the technician's recommendation to replace the capacitor which is something I did in my previous home.

Few days ago I had a problem with condensation spilling over into the ceiling in our bathroom. Prior to start the ceiling repair I decided to call the A/C Doctors to diagnose/repair any issues with my a/c unit.  Julio V. and other technician arrived on time and were able to unclog one of the condensation lines which might had caused the ceiling damage.
Both technicians were very professional and took the time to answer many questions about the system.  They were straightforward when it came to the price of the repair which I believe was fair.

I was calling around last minute to get an inspection done of a HVAC system and they had no problem working me in within 2 days.
I got a text about 30 minutes before the appointment that my tech was on the way and it even had a picture of him and his name with it.
Tommy arrived right on time and got to work right away. He was polite and professional and very thorough and I had my report and 2 estimates within a few hours.
I had to call the next day to have some things explained and Tommy called back within 15-20 minutes and patiently explained everything to me.
I definately recommend this company and specifically Tommy if you are able to request a tech.

A/C Doctors responded to my request for a quote within ten minutes of sending the request to multiple companies via Yelp. They had the best availability among all the companies that responded. They showed up promptly and were professional in explaining the service check they were going to perform on my heater. After about 20 minutes, the service rep outlined what he fixed and recommended another fix. I refused the second fix and there was no pushy sales mentality to get it completed since he said it was not required for the heater to work properly. I will definitely use A/C Doctors in the future.

I am so thankful for AC Doctors! Our AC unit started blowing hot air and we didn't feel comfortable calling the last AC company that supposedly fixed our unit because we feel there was so shady stuff done with repair which we believe caused the AC unit to blow hot air. Anyway we called AC Doctors around 4pm today and they said they would have someone out between 8-midnight. The technician showed up around 9pm and was very thorough and professional. Alberto found several issues with what the previous company did. He also shared that what the previous company did was a fire hazard. Great company!!! Found and called AC Doctors based on their standing on Yelp, and I'm so glad I did. There's a reason they are ranked number one. Just like in auto mechanics, the most important quality needed in an AC tech is honesty. Before they came out, I had two AC techs from other companies telling me I needed to install a completely new system. Pete and Nestor from AC Doctors were punctual, professional and did not overcharge me as they took a least invasive approach towards getting my AC back and running before moving towards a new system install. Additionally, Doug (the owner) is an incredibly nice, approachable guy, and their office staff (Annette) was very helpful. So glad I found a go-to company to perform maintenance on something so essential while living in Arizona.

I called this place when I first bought my home asking them to do a seasonal tune up on both of my a/c units. We didn't know what we were getting into with our older units, and we wanted them in tip top for the summer. The guy who came out basically just did an inspection - didn't touch or change anything. That didn't seem like the tune up that I asked for. I had already had a home inspection, I didn't need that. At any rate, the guy knew what he was talking about , made recommendations. If I had really needed service, I would have used them. The prices seemed reasonable. In the mean time, I'm just disappointed because I called and asked for a tune up, and I was sent an inspection. I spent something like $150 for that?

I had two HVAC systems installed about 2 years ago. Since then AC Doctors has come back 20+ times to fix problems. Most of the issues have not been with the equipment itself, but their poor workmanship. Their ability to diagnose, repair, and test (if they test at all) is also poor. It often requires multiple trips to fix a problem correctly. Here is a sample of some of the problems: failed to replace the flexible gas lines at installation (explosion hazard specifically called out in the installation manual), installing the air handlers so close together that they severely restricted the air flow in the ducts, damaged the low voltage wiring, failing several times to get 2 stage cooling working properly, twice causing significant water damage to the ceiling because they failed to properly glue the PVC condensation line, gas leak in the pipe they installed (another explosion hazard)....

Ac doctors are the best. We had our ac outdoor unit go out over forth of July weekend. They were prompt and punctual and even looked up the manufacture warranty to save us money (previous home owners left nothing). We noticed the ac kept freezing over and we called them again. Turns out there was a leak in our coils (house built in 98 likely no care since)   Not only did they replace the coils but also found a leak in the duct system and fixed that as well without being being asked. I have to take a minute to give the biggest 5 stars I've ever given. I can't say thank you enough to this incredible team. This is one of the most professional groups you'll come across, from the first minute of your experience. Scheduling was so easy, and about ten minutes before the technician arrived, i received a text message with details about my tech, and a picture. Then I immediately received a phone call from Gerardo, letting me know he was about 7 minutes out (and he arrived on the exact minute he said he would)!
Him and Jesus arrived, they took care of what they could, and were polite and very professional.

My home insurance has been the biggest pain in the rear to both me, and AC Doctors, but the company has graciously been helping me navigate the process, taking their own time to help me.

We are SO grateful for the guys at A/C Doctors! Our units are only five years old, but break every summer. Last summer we had them fixed 7 times! After so many years of dealing with dishonest companies, A/C Doctors replaced our large unit today. They were completely booked today but knew that we have infant twins here, so the owner (Doug) came out to do the work with one of his guys! They were professional, honest, friendly, and super fast! I have been doing business with Doug and his team for a few years.  They are always friendly and very easy to work with. They check in with me through each step of their work and let me know what they found and give me recommendations on things I can do to make my HVAC system more efficient, and help keep my house less dusty. They pointed out to me that the fresh air vent should have an air filter on it and the builder never installed one when the house was built. Since I installed the filter we can see a difference, and have to dust less often.

I would recommend AC Doctor's to anyone.

On a HOT Sunday summer morning, I woke up to our AC blowing hot air. Causing major discomfort and inconvenience we immediately reached out to AC Doctors. They were able to give us a time slot for later in the day. Other companies we called didn't call us back or were closed. They showed up on time , if not a few minutes early, charged $39.99 as promised ,and did a thorough inspection . They gave us a list of items that needed to be taken care of and gave us a coupon for $25 off our next service . We called them back a few day later and hired them to take care of the list of repairs . They again showed up on time , took care of everything and took $25 off our total. Very happy with The A/C Doctors! Their prices were much more reasonable compared to two other quotes I got and I can tell Gerardo knows his stuff! He helped fix a refrigerant line leak in no time and recharged my system -- super cold air blowing now :) He also fixed a condensate line that was jerry-rigged improperly from a prior installer. That is all set up properly now and with an overflow safety switch.

Gerardo was very professional, polite, and explained everything to me in a very clear way with pictures so I understood what was being done. He answered all my questions.

Very happy with this service. I signed up for their maintenance plan as I trust these folks to do the job right and at a fair price! I would recommend them to anyone :)

We have used AC Doctors for 5 years now.  Yes, they are quick and usually can fix the issue but their pricing is just outrageous and basically gouging.  Read the reviews about being overcharged and take these reviews seriously.  They charged us almost $400 to replace a capacitor which is a $20 part and 15 minutes of labor.  (and unfortunately I had to pay it because it was at night in August)  If I hadn't been a maintenance customer, they would have charged me close to $600.  ($70 more plus a charge for coming at night) Their pricing has continued to go up over the years and they are unable to break out their pricing between parts and labor--probably because they have so much bloated overhead that they pass on to the consumer.  There are other good companies that can do the work for less than half of what they charge.  Can't recommend them any longer.

This rating would be 5 stars if someone would have told me to clean my coils the last time they came out.

I've been using AC Doctors for a 2 years; ever since I heard about the special, where they check on your system for around $40.

The first time, everything was fine ($40). The second time they said I should replace a part, so I did ($250). The third time everything was fine but they added some refrigerant ($40). The fourth time I had them replace my thermostat ($300+) .

The fifth time they said the blower motor needed to be replaced because the coils were so dirty it was working too hard (like blowing through a straw) to keep the house cool. So, I spent the $625 to replace the blower motor, but it was going to cost me another $250 to clean the coils. -The coils that no one ever mentioned the other four times they were out.

I talked to some other AC guys, and they all say the same thing: If they're checking on your system and the coils need to be cleaned they should do it as part of the check up, or at least put you on notice, so things like blower motors don't go out being overloaded. Also, it's pretty typical for coil cleaning to be considered a part of routine maintenance and check ups. Furthermore, coil cleaning is such a simple process that even the commercial guys don't charge corporations more than $70 to clean the coils.

So word to the wise, make sure they check your coils every time, and make them write down the condition the coils are in, because unless you're going to climb your roof and open up the machine (like they are supposed to do on check ups) you will never know if your coils are backed up with fuzz and dirt or not.

I can't say how long the coils were bad. It may just have been that the last guy didn't do the standard check when he replaced my thermostat. -but they were so bad that after the blower motor was installed it got hotter in the house and was over 91 degrees after midnight.

I do appreciate how they are always available and call before they arrive. The techs always are courteous and pretty quick with their work. I feel comfortable with them in my home and I'm willing to accept that the problem with the coils could have been an innocent mistake, even if everyone else tells me I'm being scammed.

Just make sure you have them double check everything.

I was having issues for a while with my 14+ years old unit, that required yearly work to keep it working, but finally decided to install a new unit. Even though it was not the least expensive quote,  I decided to go with AC doctor because the service provided from the AC Doctor team is unbeatable. Their team was fast to respond to my needs and resolve my issues.
-Removed an old swamp cooler that was no longer in use and removed my old AC unit.

I hired them in May, 2022 based on all the great reviews, but I would give them negative stars if I could.  I specifically wanted my fan motor replaced and I told the lady on the phone that the fan motor was screeching. The tech came to my house and did nothing, but of course, collected his service fee. He also told me the following collection of idiot utterings and lies:
1.) The fan motor was not replaceable, (A lie; Many youtube videos show how easily it can be done.  The hard part is sourcing and ordering the correct fan motor.
2.) If I press down hard on the frame it did not make as much noise. No mention of a vibration isolators, or stabilizers for the frame.  (What???)
3.) The units are old. (wtf, I know exactly how old my units are, I don't need to pay people to come to my house and tell me they are old.)
4.) You need a whole new system. Mind you, this system has no leaks and is still pushing out cold air.

This essentially was a hard core sales pitch that I had to listen to and then essentially pay for. I DO NOT recommend this company. I am angry with companies who send techs out with the expectation of a service and no service is given. I am not happy that he did nothing but waste my time and money.

I interviewed four A/C contractors.
One seemed too busy to negotiate, the second missed their appointment, the third gave me a bid WAY TOO HIGH, and when I told the salesman, he said that was the wrong price and he would send another bid. What he did to lower the bid (in small print) was to lower the tonnage on the unit. if you want your air conditioner to work appropriately you measure the tonnage by the square feet in your house, not your budget.
 this group gave a fair bid, Negotiated options, showed up when promised, and cleaned up when they were finished. So at the kick off, we are very happy. I can't give you a report on service, till I need it. But thus far they've got two thumbs up in my book.

My A/C stopped working on the hottest day of the year so far. Scott Rose from A/C Doctors showed up two hours earlier than my scheduled appointment after calling to verify that I was at home. He is polite, professional and fast. He had my A/C back up and running in just a few minutes. I highly recommend their service.

I had an emergency situation with elderly,sick person and no cooler.
Within one hour a professional,  efficient, mahorni.. Fixed the cooler when my 3 year contracted service could not repair. Only wanted to replace system
This honest man would not give a bid because he said it was not necessary.
Saved me thousands of dollars.

What great honest service! I called one late night, scheduled first available opening for them to come out see why the Ac stopped working. They came early in the morning and within the hr the Ac was fixed, they told me what else might be needing fixing in the future , but they did not push, and I appreciate that! Thank u !

Happy, screwed or happily screwed.  In early December '19, it seemed that our 11 year old Goodman HVAC system was intermittently blowing cool air instead of hot air.  We had a PM (Preventative Maintenance) schedule for late December with Emergency Air, with whom we had a PM contract.  As a result of that PM session we were advised that the Integrated Fan Controller was intermittently failing causing the problem that we were encountering.  The estimate for fixing was just over $1,000.  Being a bit suspicious about the cost (I do have some HVAC background), we decided to get a second opinion.  We chose A/C Doctors to give that opinion.  We scheduled their visit, told them of our issue but they could not find a problem.  We did not tell them of the other company nor their finding.

We had a bit of traveling to do mid-January to early February so we turned the system off (as we approached our travel, the situation was getting worse), deciding to get it fixed when we returned.  We contacted A/C Doctors again for a service call; this time they found that the problem was the Integrated Fan Controller and estimated the cost to replace to be around $600.  We had them replace the controller and with the credit for the previous service call and a $25 online coupon credit, the final cost was around $563.  I did have the foresight to request the defective board when the installation was done.  This seemed to be a typical problem with older Goodman units so I decided to see what the real cost of the controller board was since they didn't break out the hardware vs. installation cost.  I've included a pic of a quick internet search showing the board was easily available for around $50.  So I just paid $500 for installation?  Or the board was marked up maybe 5 or 6 times.  Installation was about an hour - 2 techs (one shadowing the other) - maybe $200 for installation.  That leaves over $300 for a $50 board.

So, I'm quite happy that they duplicated the problem and fixed the problem - so I'm happy.  I'm not happy that a $50 board was marked up outrageously - so I feel screwed.  So should I be happy that I got screwed, just happy or just screwed.  Note: I will be post a similar post on Emergency Air's Yelp site too!

A/C Doctors is the company to get when you need things done!!! I came home to a leaking laundry room and garage. I called my insurance and A/C Doctors was contacted. I told them I only had two days before I had to fly out again. They came in, accessed the damage and immediately started working the same day. The following day the came and took the blowers away.
The gentleman that worked with me were very kind and helpful! Very good and hard working men!

I had been having AC issues since we had moved into our house. Trying to get a maintenance guy from the company we go through was insanely difficult as they did not make it a priority (we live in AZ so the heat gets bad and we have a pet). As soon as I heard from AC Doctors, they had someone out there within a couple hours. Ian Biddle was FANTASTIC! I was out of town so Ian was met by my mom. He kept her super informed the entirety of the appointment and was able to fix the issue no problem. He had helped to fix a couple issues from the previous guy and let me tell you, he did it in a timely manner as well! I was extremely happy to know my AC was going to be fixed as we came in town that night. Grateful for the amazing work by Ian!

This was the best experience ever. AC was blowing hot air the night before. I called first thing in the morning. I spoke with Tara. She was polite, courteous and understanding of the situation. Tara had me scheduled for 10 am. I received a call 10 minutes later from the technician, Justin. Justin let me know that there was a cancelation and he could come sooner. Justin arrived 10 minutes later. He quickly identified the issue, let us know the price, and had the ac working in 30 minutes. He also let me know about the warranty on the work. If I ever have another AC issue, I know who to call.

Fantastic company.  

Installed a 17-seer, dual-stage system for us recently, with a more-difficult-than-expected attic configuration for the handler (what were these homebuilders thinking, anyway?!), and Doug and his crew didn't miss a beat.

From their initial bid, to pricing, scheduling, to going above and beyond that hot summer night (until 8 or so pm) so that we'd have AC that day, they were very straightforward, and indeed, far exceeded our expectations.

Even threw in a color touchscreen wifi thermostat that I just happened to mention we'd like (and that I fully expected to pay them about $200 for).  Now, that's really going above and beyond!

Just last year I had my A/C serviced by another company chosen by a home warranty company I had. Worst experience ever, took 1-2 weeks to finally get things fixed, pretty sure there was fraudulent charges they tried to get past on me until I called the home warranty company to investigate. No urgency from them at all during the peak of the summer. So when my A/C went out again this year, I did my research and chose wisely. So happy I went with A/C Doctors!! Best decision.

Not only did they get us in the next day from when we called, but they showed up on time. They actually called to see if they could come by earlier which worked so much better for us. They assessed the A/C quickly, efficiently and thoroughly and explained everything as they did it. They replaced the part in under an hour and answered every question my fiancé had and informed us that we should be able to get by another 2-3 years before replacement of the whole unit was needed as long as maintenance was kept up. We found our go-to A/C mechanics  They were so personal, friendly, and knowledgeable. A much better experience then I had before. Definitely recommend !!

AC went out on Sunday and these were the first guys able to come out. Armando was amazing, he diagnosed, and educated me and talked me through my options. They didn't tell me there was a 75 dollar charge before coming out to diagnose, so minus 1 star for that but honestly was happy to pay it because of the tech being so helpful during this super stressful time.

Came home from work one night and the house was warm. Check the ac and it was broken. Found these guys from yelp reviews and called them first thing in the morning. They had a technician  at my house in about 1 hr.  My compressor was dead  the unit was 18 years old. He gave me prices for the repair and several replacement options. I went with the replcement. It was a friday so they had 2 installers monday morning at my house  at 8 am and by 1 pm i had a new a/c. Its been about  a month and its working great.  The technicians and installers are all very professional.  I would highly  recommend  this company. I am very pleased  with my new a/c system.

I rent from invitation homes. The AC unit at my house was getting really loud. I submitted a service request and they assigned it to AC Doctors. Invitation Homes didn't have the key to open the cage around the AC machine and said that AC Doctors could cut the bolt.
On 7/13 AC Doctors ended up cutting the front of the cage off and leaving it like that. They told Invitations Homes that their repair was complete but the cage was cut open and hazardous and left in that state.
I called invitation homes on 7/18 to find out why my house was left like this, they said it was AC Doctors fault, they were not given authorization to cut open the cage, just the lock. Invitation homes said the situation was not emergent, the call for AC Doctors was for maintenance, we had AC, the machine was just loud and we wanted to avoid it breaking down mid summer. So they were not authorized to cut into the cage.
When we spoke with AC Doctors on 7/18, the earliest they could get anyone out to fix it was 7/21 between noon and 4p.
4p rolls around and AC Doctors hasn't called us, so we call them at 4:15p. They say they are running late and will be here in 30 mins. I ask to speak with a supervisor and was told no supervisors are available for the rest of the day since it was 4:30p on a Friday at this point.
Later on 7/21 the technician calls and says it'll be an hour to get to our house.
Then even later on 7/21 the call center manager calls us to let us know that they won't be able to make it out to our house till 7/26. He called after I was told there were no supervisors on staff for me to speak with.
They created a hazardous situation in our backyard and are unable to fix their mistake for 13 days and counting.

My AC unit at my rental apartment broke, and stopped cooling my place. I contacted my property management company and they sent out a tech to look at the unit and recommend whatever repairs were needed.
After the repair was approved, I was informed that I would be getting an entirely new unit.
The guys that showed up were very efficient and professional. They removed the broken AC unit, and installed the new one without any issues at all. I work from home, and had no issue with noise or disruptions to my work day, while they installed my new AC unit.

The night my air stopped working was rough.  This morning I realized how dependent we are upon or upon a ideal climate and I was nearly in tears franticially calling numerous companies at 8 am Monday morning.  I found ACDoctors on Yelp due to numerous star reviews. I called and when this one company suggested I make an appointment that evening as they were booked I was crushed in a way,  but agreeed. Lo and behold, they had an opportunity to fit me in at 11:20am that afternoon. God was on mine and my cats side.  I speedily left work and was greeted by my technician only minutes later after I arrived. He was on time.
Gerardo,  Was very proper and if you were concerned about masks, he wore one the entire time without complaint. After chatting with him he had been in the business for 7 years with the same company and truly loved his job. I could tell he was experienced as he zipped up the roof checked all the wires and mechanisms that needed observation and came down to tell me my issue must be with the new Nest thermostat I attempted to install the night bf with resulted in no cooling.
Never once did he say he did not know what to do. Nor did he have to reach out to others for support. He is a very professional individual who made me feel intelligent in how he acknowleded my knowledge of my unit and thermostat. We problem solved and re installed the thermostat in addition with the app on my phone so it could work remotely. He even helped me program the weekly schedules and and was a happy-go-lucky individual.
Before he wrapped up he explained the bill which included a low cost of diagnostic fee diagnostic fee and then the time spent with myself and educating the thermostat and reprogramming. Out the door for the hour and a 1/2 that he was there I paid just under a $115. Granted there was nothing wrong with my unit it was all due to the thermostat miss wiring and programming. I myself am a 32 yr old Individual who is savvy with technology however my technician knew more and was more experienced in diagnostics of the device.
I was so pleased that I called the office after I had left my property to show my gratitude almost in tears of joy that the air conditioner was fixed and I no longer was distressed.
This company is very professional, very experienced, quick, in a very decent price range. This is the happiest I have felt in awhile, stress free.
I know this is quite time consuming to read my entire post however it is worth every penny. I am a individual homeowner who has been screwed over by contractors in the past and that was my biggest fear with finding somebody off of Yelp however AC Doctors willing be my number one moving forward who I always will recommend.

We used AC Docs at our old residence for two fan replacements, and signed up for their membership to receive discounted parts, labor and tune-ups.  Great service!

We recently bought a different house which had two 2019 Trane units installed.  One unit failed on heating and our inspection found numerous issues with the installation of air handlers, drip pans and terrible ducting work (guessing unlicensed contractor)...  I was quoted over $5k from my realtor's contractor, so I called AC DOCTORS, who came 24hrs after my call.

After an inspection and initial quote to get the heaters working properly, North Scottsdale had snow the very next day, and now both heaters weren't operating...we called back to check the status of our repairs and they sent a team that day!  

First they did an emergency repair on two units, found that drier filters weren't installed so these TxV valves failed and needed new ones.  They ordered parts and had that repair done immediately!  Then we received the quote for ducting, adjusting air handlers and drip pans (which actually needed pumps instead), they performed two more sets of work and everything is running great, and I paid just over 50% of a competitor's quote!  Wow!

Sent a text before arrival showing a photo of our service tech & ETA.

Gerardo arrived on time with a face mask (we also wore masks) and explained the process to us, answered all our questions and was very helpful, friendly and efficient. (We will request him in the future.)

He took photos of everything he saw on the roof so he could explain what we might need in the future. We decided to have him take care of it at that time and he had the part :). He checked everything and we have cold AC & no problems. Reasonable price too.

Please do not use this company!! Have caused us a lot of time, stress and money!! They do not stand behind their warranty that i have in writing.  After paying 4,000 for an air conditioner the person THEY hired to install never gave anyone the warranty card and never filled out so they say NO warranty!!  They are supposed to cover parts for 10 years.  A company that sold a product that doesn't work at 5 years 3 months is unacceptable to not cover broken parts as stated in warranty is unacceptable!!  THIS COMPANY IS NOT HONEST!!

Basic service. Followed through and AC works but not any options on the unit, system, ducts,  nor was it even discussed. If you are not looking to upgrade, or are downgrading to the basics, this is it.  Nice enough team, didn't talk much. Cleaned up ok. I see why they do a lot of rentals.

Eduardo came out for routine maintence and to clear the condensation lines at our request. He was timely, had excellent manners and was a very good communicator. He was friendly yet, worked steadily. He asked if we were interested in some add on items that could prevent damage and reported on the condition of our systems. He was really good at informing/educating as opposed to a hard sell. I have been a customer of AC Doctors for years. I called yesterday regarding an odd noise coming from the attic thinking it could be duct work related. They were able to schedule me right away. Geraldo came out and was friendly as well as very professional. He did a thorough job going over every inch of the system in our attic.  He helped in making the system more effective by straightening some of the kinks in some of the tubing. He also let us know that a few areas were starting to separate and that he would get us a quote to repair them. They have an excellent yearly maintenance program that I have always used. It is a great deal for the money. AC Doctor comes highly recommended by me.

Amazing! From the beginning of this journey as renters trying to handle our unit going out until completion, A/C Doctors has been amazing! Jose V and Logan came out to replace our entire upstairs system. They were prompt, they were friendly, and most importantly extremely professional. Charged way to much for parts that were a fraction of what I could get them elsewhere. When I called to ask what the deal was I was told the manager or owner would call me within a day. No one ever called. The parts were only 125 and they charged $390 for a half hour repair. Total ripoff.

The BEST AC company in the Phoenix Metro.  Finally an honest contractor I would recommend to anyone.  I called at 1:00 AM Saturday expecting a voicemail, instead getting a cheerful voice who told me they would have someone out between 4 and 6 pm on Saturday.  She also said that we would be first available if they got a cancellation. About 10:00 AM I received a call that they were on the way.  The two gentlemen who arrived within 30 minutes were friendly, clean, and pleasant with a very professional attitude.  Within 30 minutes they had reset a fuse, completed a tuneup and did not once try to up sell.  Instead of 200-300 repair with a Saturday fee of 120 as I expected, they accomplished the task for $40.00 dollars.  I will be definitely using them again for my home and rental property, they have a customer for life!

After receiving a  8 different estimates to replace one of my 5 ton 16 seer a/c unit and furnace, I made a decision to use A/C doctors to replace not one but both of my 5 ton units. All the other companies started their estimate off with a high price to replace the units, then when they saw that I had more estimates to meet with they began to drop their prices which is a red flag to me.  AC doctors gave me their honest upfront lowest possible bid to replace one or both of my ac units without changing the price. They were on time and extremely professional. They explained everything to me upfront before I decided to use them. Eric and his crew did a marvelous job.I would definitely recommend them to anyone needing a/c replacements and repairs.

The first night of cold in Phoenix we turned on our heat and noticed it wasn't really working. I called AC doctors and they offered me an appointment within hours.

I previously had good relations with AC Doctors.  Last time they sent a new person in training with an experienced tech for a regular spring AC checkup.  Several days later, I started experiencing A/C issues which I never had.

I had the parts replaced they recommended but still problems (the unit would turn on for 3 seconds, then off for 5 seconds, then back on.  Had another AC Doctors tech come out  and he said it could be anything (but he did not do anything).  

After sending them a video of the glitching on and off, they came out again same day or next and since it was not glitching (turning off and on) while the tech was here, he said he could not diagnose.

Then I called again a day later and to my luck, they could NOT get anyone out in hot June (2021) for another day.  I called A/C by Jay and they came the same day, and went up to our attic air handler (Which AC Doctors never did) and found the problem was when the rookie came to get trained, he pushed insulation over something (or something like that) that was blocking something with the air handler.

In summary, I paid $90 (that is a good price for 2 units if they send competent workers) to have 2 units checked, hundreds more to replace the contactor parts they recommended, and had 2 follow-up visits where they could not solve why my unit went on and off (which started after their maintenance) - all of it wasted except perhaps the contactors.

I don't have any problem with them sending someone new but don't make my unit worse than when you started and mind the neebies.

Why a review from 2 years ago - just saw one of their trucks and it reminded me I did NOT write a review from my terrible experience.

Found AC doctors on Yelp last summer when my AC unit stopped working at our Tempe house. They were actually a second opinion because the first AC company came out and told me I needed an $800 part to fix it. Something just didn't seem right so I called AC Doctors for a second opinion. They came out that same day and got my AC working while they were there. Apparently I didn't need an $800 part and the condenser had just froze up. How do ya like that. Thank goodness I called them. They will be my first call from now on for any AC work on any of our houses. Would definitely recommend.

This is the best company for ac/heating inArizona. If there were double stars I'd click on each one. They are always right on for service, professionalism and prices. They 100% stand behind their work. The guys who come out know what they are doing. We had them do a twice a year checkup for years then when it was time to replace our two units we called Pete and set it up. The units work great. They are all so nice on top of everything else I mentioned. I recommend them highly.

Wow!  AC Doctors does fantastic work! Their field service technicians (Doctors) are a pleasure to work with.  They have worked on two properties for me in the Phoenix area.  The initial service visits were prompt and professional, COVID safe, and they provided detailed estimates for the work to be performed and explained the what and why of the proposals clearly.  

They were also the lowest price of the three estimates I received.

Communication is fantastic, they use a combination of telephone, SMS and email.  Being remote I was informed and up to date on all activities, as were my tenants that occupy the properties.  

At one property they replaced the entire HVAC system; furnace, heat exchanger, electrical connection, etc.  They were in and out in one day, left the workplace clean, and explained to my 85 year old father who lives there all that they did and how to operate the system.  Dad says, A+ work!  Super job.

At a rental property they replaced a drain pan, added a water level cut off switch and contactor.  Again, they did great work.  The tenant was pleasantly surprised that the unit was also much quieter after their work.

I would use them again in a heartbeat and recommend them to all my Phoenix area friends and family.

I want to thank AC Doctors sincerely for their amazing service year over year! Yesterday afternoon I had my yearly AC service appointment.  Esteban found there was a small explosion inside the unit that I was not aware happened. He worked for hours outside trying everything possible to fix it. In the end, my 30-year Trane was done. In less than 24 hours, Alex, Hector, and Juan had a new unit installed.  The price was way more than fair. The care they took with my home and just the all-around amazing moral code of this company is worth its weight in gold. I can't be more thankful for both teams!

Amazing young men, super intelligent and experts in the heating and cooling industry. We were thoroughly impressed and will definitely hire AC Doctors again should any issues arise. I cannot recommend this company enough! I called on a Friday after being out of town 10 days to a OLD broken AC that was on its last breaths. My house was 95 degrees and I had to get the situation under control. Ian came right out first thing in the morning   before anyone else was able to. He presented to me with a fair set up, a workable finance plan, with a unit and parts that were immediately accessible, and had my house up and running with a new unit the next day. Ask for Eric Lopez and Aaron Scott. They work in a neat Workman like manner. They are courteous. Explained what why and how they would accomplish the work order. Everything was installed neatly and excess and old were removed. This is a great importance to me after myself being in the field for 40 years. Retired now. I have first hand knowledge of other companies in my pass that left a mess including old removed duct work in the attics and a mess outside the residence or commercial lot These men do quality work and I hope AC Doctors will reward them for jobs well.

Julian and Kody came by  not only to work on our faulty Central AC but also Change out my Wall unit, which was a different size than the original but Kody did such a great job at putting it all together.

I just had Pablo and José install completely new ductwork on the unit that supplies my bedrooms/bathrooms and I'm floored. They both worked so incredibly hard throughout the entire day, explained and answered any questions, and tailored the new vents to our requests. They cleaned up after themselves and paid special attention to our office equipment/computers/etc with the dust/drywall. Such a pleasant experience and the payoff is INSTANT. I got home from a three day stay in the hospital to a non-working heat pump with temps forecasted in the 100's. After reviewing options on google and based on Yelp reviews I chose AC Doctors and called them. Jesus came the next day and found a small leak in the A-coil. After discussing several options replacing the 33 year old air handler and 8 year old compressor with a new system was the solution. They had the system in stock and could install it the next day. Tony and his crew showed up at 7AM and quickly got to work. The install required replacing the air handler in a cramped attic and replacing some worn out duct work. By 2PM the new system was up and running. I am very satisfied with the work done on what I think was a difficult install. I strongly recommend AC Doctors If you need HVAC work. Their prompt response was appreciated in the middle of a greater than 110 degree heat wave. Thanks for a great job.

These folks were amazing from start to finish. Our first tech, Justin, was early for the initial call (AC died). The appointment was set with a time window of 3-5 PM with a promise that they would come earlier if they could. They did. Justin went to bat for us with the manufacturer when it was determined that the part needed (a coil within the air handler) was on back order till September (that first appointment was on July 19th, and we live in Arizona) for non-registered units. We were out of warranty by 1 year because the builder did not register our unit (the normal protocol is for the builder to do the registration, which gives the homeowner a 10 year warranty. No registration means the unit goes to the default warranty of 5 years). He was able to get the manufacturer to give us an air handler at a drastically reduced price. He had the air handler put on hold and schedule our install for 8 AM, July 20th.

The install team of 4 guys showed up 5 minutes early. These guys were efficient and super professional. The lead installer had 11 years of experience (I'm nosy), and the rest of the team had varying degrees of experience. They said my attic was the smallest area they had ever worked in. Yet I never heard one complaint. Just smiles. When the work was done, they had left the work area cleaner then when they started.

By the way, they were referred to me by one of the valley's largest home rental companies. This company owns and manages over 5,000 homes in the Phoenix metroplex. They only use top rated companies. AC Doctors is a company that clearly has amazing follow through. The staff we met were fantastic. I'm writing this review in my 76 degree house with a huge smile and a happy wife! Thanks AC Doctors.

4.5 stars, I'll explain.  
These guys are great.  We purchased this 2 story home in the summer of 19, A/C blows really cold, we just had 1 room upstairs that seemed to not get any air flow.  After living here a year, I noticed several deferred maintenance items not handled by the previous owner, so I decided to have the a/c serviced, tuned up, checked out before the summer, and also wanted to see if they could do anything about the 1 room not getting adequate air flow.  Ian was the tech that came out, was polite, professional, friendly.  He spent some time investigating the air flow issue, and gave his recommendation.  Upon looking and checking on the 2 units, he recommended we replace the capacitor on 1 of them as he said it was starting to fail.  we agreed.  About an 3 hours after Ian left, I went upstairs and noticed the unit was blowing warm air so I called a/c doctors, they got a tech out right away, Eric, who was awesome.  It turns out Ian just wired the capacitor backwards, which was an easy 2 minute fix, and we had ice cold air.  I had him review the previous tech's idea of fixing the air flow and he agreed with the prognosis.
Later, we got the bid to re work some of the duct work, which seemed reasonable if it worked/helped the issue.  Eric showed up right on time and worked diligently to fix the duct work, essentially there was too many splits going on so that 1 room was getting the least amount of air flow.  they recommended running a direct line to that room. I'm happy to say the upstairs room that was our house 'hot spot' is now cool and comfortable, just like all the other rooms.  
Overall extremely happy with these guys, they were polite, prompt, gave an honest and fair estimate.
so for the 4.5 stars, that was just due to Ian wiring the unit backwards and my unit pumping the hot attic air for 3 hours, bringing the upstairs temperature to 86 degrees on a 100 degree day.  Mistakes happen, no harm no foul, and the office was so prompt and awesome about getting a tech out right away.  Highly recommend these guys for your a/c needs!

We noticed our A/C wasn't working on a Sunday afternoon. We called our regular A/C maintenance company and they couldn't get a tech out until Tuesday afternoon. We searched on Yelp for an alternative and quickly found A/C Doctors. I saw the 5-star ratings and immediately called them. They had a tech (Jose) out within 30 minutes. Jose was very efficient and diagnosed the problem within seconds. Unfortunately he didn't have the needed part with him and he ensured us that he'd be back on Monday. We had to catch a flight on Monday at noon, so we asked if he could be back in the early morning. And indeed, Monday morning at 9am, Jose came back, installed the part and fixed our A/C within 30-45 minutes. We had our cool house back and were able to catch our flight as well.

Great company, great customer service and very efficient techs. Highly recommended!!!

A/C Doctors did right by us!  Our A/C unit stopped working last week and we calked A/C Doctors. From the person on the phone, to all of the techs, everyone is polite and knowledgable. The tech was on time and quickly assessed the problem. He gave us options to repair or replace and offered to get us price quotes. The next day we had scheduled for someone to come out and review our space to determine the size of the unit. He was timely, efficient, and courteous. I thought the service was good and the technician was thorough. I was very pleased that they were able to come out same day. The reason for only 2 stars is the sticker shock. Holy cow! They charged me over $140 just to glue the pvc pipe into my air handler. I could have done that myself with a $10 glue purchase. Had I known that part was so expensive I wouldn't have had them do it. I thought the total was abnormally high. They gave me a total price for 3 things so I assumed the cost was mostly toward the one item which was much more than what I was quoted by the previous company I used but that was 2 years ago. It wasn't until I got the invoice that I realized how much the gluing cost. Unfortunately, I just bought their maintenance plan but after that expires, I will have too try another company. I don't know, is that normal to charge $140 to glue one end of your pvc pipe into your handler? I feel taken advantage of.

I had my AC go out at night this past June.  AC doctors did answer my call quickly at night and was able to schedule me the next morning.  This was my third time using them but I can say it will prob be the last.  

Although they were responsive I feel like I was ripped off.  It was $650-$700 to replace a capacitor!  Of course I agreed to pay as I had to have AC since this June was horrible with the heat.  Since then I have had time to shop around and realize I paid near triple what it should have been.

I do not understand how they justify this pricing but I can't use their services in the future when I am still upset months later.  Nobody likes the feeling that they were ripped off or overpaid. Lesson learned I suppose.

Twice this summer I have had AC problems. First, my drip pan (I think that's what it's called?) was leaking in the attic and we had water coming out the top pipe on the outside of our house. I called first thing in the morning and the leak was repaired by that evening! This was back in early august, and I was happy with our service. Last night, our house stopped cooling. We called at 11:30 pm and quickly got an answer. The tech arrived earlier than expected and fixed our capacitor and the house feels great again! Both techs that came to our house were great (Jesus and Julio). And the problems were fixed for far less money than I expected so pricing seems fair. I hope I don't have any more problems any time soon but I will call you guys again if I do! Thank you!

Doug and his guys at the A/C Doctors has made our life comfortable once again. We have used them a few times, and it seem most times it is always in an emergency. One night late as we were ending a party we realized the A/C wasn't working. It was 94 and rising in the house. We called the A/C doctors and they came over within 30 minutes. Turns out our A/C condenser hand frozen solid, like 2 inches of ice thick. They defrosted it, put in additional freon (it was low) and got things working again. The price was amazing for the service we received.

Another time we had water draining into our house. This was from the A/C condensation pan. Apparently they weren't installed well originally. At first we thought it had been our in-house humidifier, turns out we were wrong. They didn't recommend replacing anything, but did install a safety shut off in case water got to high again it would shut it all off.

Our AC broke on a Sunday afternoon and we called our regular AC maintenance company. The earliest they could send a tech was going to be Tuesday. So I checked Yelp and quickly found AC Doctors. I was impressed with the 5 star reviews and immediately called them. They had a tech out within 30 minutes. The tech (Jose) was very efficient and diagnosed the problem within minutes. Unfortunately he didn't have the needed parts with him, but assured us that he could be back on Monday for the repair. We had a flight to catch on Monday at noon and asked if he could come early Monday morning. Jose was back at our house promptly at 8am on Monday morning and was able to fix our AC within 30-45 minutes. We had cold air again and were able to catch our flight as well!

I highly recommend AC Doctors. They are extremely accommodating and very efficient and professional! Great company and definitely worth 5 stars!

Tried to up charge my nephew when all he needed was a run cap and coils cleaned.  Also the one guy who lives in San tan Valley drives like a jerk everyday. Would be a zero, but had to give atleast one star to leave a review. A run capacitor only cost $9 for a titan pro and is literally connecting 3 wires, bottle of coil cleaner, $12. My 18-year-old AC system finally gave up the ghost in the middle of July, and I was dreading having to replace it. Shelling out thousands of dollars to a company you've never had to do business with before is always scary, especially in the AC business, where you expect to be gouged in the summer. I did my research and got estimates from several different companies, and finally ended up settling on AC Doctors. I'm so glad I did! They were prompt and helpful, and ended up giving me a much more competitive estimate than the other outfits I got quotes from.

Once I decided on AC Doctors, they wasted no time - the unit was installed the next morning. The install was very professional and the unit is doing exactly what it should. Additionally, I had a few questions days after the install, and they've been tremendously friendly, responsive, and helpful after the fact - very appreciated, given that they already have my money!

My second AC unit is likely going to need replacement in the next couple of years, and I won't hesitate to call AC Doctors to do. Super happy to have found an outfit of their quality!

I have used AC Doctors since May 2017 for my 300 rental homes and condos through out the Phoenix Metro Valley areas and for my own personal home in Mesa.  

I am very pleased at how fast they are to arrive when I call them about an AC issue in the hot summer months of AZ.  For Property Managers they offer same day service 24/7.

In addition, I find their prices for replacement AC systems to be the best of any company we shopped for prices, they are always the best price for our properties.  

They have excellent customer service with enough certified Techs to handle any job during the hot summer months. They never try to get you into a new unit you do not need or up sale you on anything that is truly not required to get your AC up and running again.

Doug Davis, the Owner is the awesome to work with and if you are an investor of one rental or more you should call this company as you will not be disappointed. They services new homes or existing homes and give great rates to Property Management Companies too.

I had some concerns that the HVAC company I'm under contract with (Farnsworth) was being less than honest when they recommended I have $800 worth of things fixed/serviced on my HVAC unit.  I called A/C Doctors for a second opinion as they have a good reputation and good reviews.  They did a thorough checkup of my system and found that only one item was a legitimate repair. They did find a fairly serious problem that needs fixing which my contracted company did not even mention. None of the other things that Farnsworth said needed fixing actually needed fixing.  So much for honesty!  I was very impressed with A/C Doctors and recommend them. They spent an hour (rather than 15-20 minutes--if that-- by the other company) going over the whole system and explaining, in detail, what they found and what needed to be done.

Cannot give enough compliments to technician Sean Johnson! He definitely went above and beyond.

Not only was our air conditioning unit not working, but there is always been a big temperature difference between upstairs and down. Even with thermal shades, curtains and  protective screens to block out heat, upstairs was always a good 5 degrees higher.

He arrived at the schedule time at 8:00 p.m., immediately went upstairs to check the thermostat, filter,  then outside to the unit. After a couple minutes, he knew exactly what was not working and fixed it. He technically could have left there. We had our air conditioning back on. But he still was not happy with the temperature difference between the floors.

So he went upstairs in the attic and said that we only were accessing about 60% of airflow. He changed some things and said the balance of the house will feel more comfortable. And this was all within approximately 45 min appointment.

By this morning,  it was night and day compared to how the house had felt the last 2 years.

Also, earlier in conversation, I was telling him how we did not use the heat this past winter.  We turned it on once and it never got warm.  He explained to me about the thermostat,  that possibly had a update that change the setting to it. So to call and schedule a work order next time. Also, I  learned the difference between puron and freon. 

I felt very fortunate to have such a experienced and knowledgeable technician! Thank you Sean. His professionalism is outstanding!

For it being the weekend, AC doctors sent someone to diagnose the problem real quick. As soon as they knew what the problem was, they were already scheduling a work crew to come out and fix the problems. Pablo and Jesus came a couple days later with the part and fixed our AC system. Both guys were prompt, friendly and very understanding. AC blows cold again. When there is a next time. I will use these guys. Highly recommend.

Mark responded very promptly to our property in Tempe. His communication with both tenant and myself (owner) was excellent. He diagnosed the problem, was able to repair it quickly and had the air conditioning working again! This is vital to health and welfare of people in Arizona summers and I'm very grateful for the wonderful service we got. Especially because our tenant has small children and a newborn baby--and they needed air conditioning. Thank you MARK AND A/C Doctors!!!

AC doctors installed a new unit over the 4th of July weekend. Ulisses and Logan did a great job on the installation. The project was a little unusual and a door had to be customized to cover the unit.  Days after the installation Ulisses, Logan and Frank returned and did a fantastic job.  
Everyone involved with the service was professional and answered all my questions.  You never want to have to replace a unit but AC Doctors did a great job. I highly recommend AC Doctors!

Our AC went out sometime between 3:30-4:15pm today while we were at the grocery store. Everything seemed fine but there was no air blowing out of most of our vents, and lukewarm air coming out of the kitchen vent. We were pretty stressed as this is a fairly new unit (replaced in 2017).

I hopped on to Yelp to find someone to come out and went with AC Doctors due to their reviews and their verified license. By 4:30pm we had a technician scheduled to arrive between 5-8pm. By 4:45pm I had a text message telling me who our technician was, along with his rating and a picture, and by 5:07 our doorbell rang.

Ian quickly checked our AC and diagnosed the problem (which was due to our own stupidity with a filter) and had our AC back up and running within minutes. We purchased our home 2 months ago and the sellers were supposed to fix the condensate line in our attic prior to close, but it was clearly not done by a professional. Ian was able to get that fixed and help prevent dry wall damage in the future.

Overall, this was a very positive experience, and we will definitely be using AC Doctors again in the future!

Justin from AC Doctors just left. He was courteous and professional and fixed my ac in no time. He was thorough and informative with my options. I felt like he was super knowledgeable and honest. I requested a quote for replacement of an aging (and failed) unit.  I was quoted a price of $6800 by another company for a Trade.  AC Doctors came out with a quote of $11,100 for the same size unit from a lesser brand, Night and Day.  Two weeks later I got a call that their distributor had reduced pricing and got an updated quote of $6900.  
I do appreciate the updated quote, but no distributor ever cut pricing that much.  It was an attempt to get sweaty me to pay a $4K premium.

AC Doctors have won my business with there fine upfront service. They come and do what is needed and the technicians are very engaging in the process. No pressure up-selling, just do what is in the scope of work to resolve the issue at hand. I appreciate that very much.
I also use their services for my summer and winter checkups to keep the house heating and AC system maintained.

Called to have AC looked at for one zone being hot while the other two were working fine. The first tech that came out insisted that our ventilation was built incorrect and our house was ten years old. Second AC tech along with the first came back and still insisted the ventilation was wrong and needed to be built correctly. When discussing the issue the techs went outside and immediately came back in to double check the damper valve that the first tech on the first visit said was working fine. After a few minutes in the crawl space the two tech came down and said the motor was bad. At this time all credibility was gone. Quote was given to shotgun out the motor with no proof bad or good. In my opinion either the two techs had no clue what they are doing or trying to scam us on the repair. I would not recommend this company because they cannot be trusted

We had a problem with our AC not cooling below 80 during the summer. The AC company who installed the unit kept telling us our system is working great and it must be something else not related to the AC. So we thought to get a second opinion from AC Doctor. When calling to make the appointment, the receptionist was nice and had wonderful customer service skills. My appointment was made early that same week. The tech, Eric, called ahead to let us know he is on his way. The office also sends you a text with a pic of the tech. Eric was very professional and willing to explain what he is doing and why. I told him what the problem was and he knew right then what to look for. He found the problem quickly and even checked everything else to make sure it was good. The original installer put the orifice/piston in wrong and they were even taking the measurements wrong. The price for the job was amazing and fair. So thank you AC Doctor for the help. Thank you Mr. Eric for going the extra mile too!

Giovanni came to my house after an extremely long day. It was after 8pm. He was exhausted but stayed over 2 hours to make sure everything was done right. I can not recommend him and this company more highly. We didn't sleep at all before he came but we will sleep well tonight!!! Can not thank you guys enough!!

I've used a few different HVAC companies in the Phoenix area and AC Doctors are good. I've now used them a few times (at different properties) and the techs are knowledgeable and friendly. Prices are fair. I had a service call with Anthony today and he did a great job. Was pleased enough to sign up for a annual maintainence contract, which I typically don't do. Would recommend

Erin from the installation team was of no help, but there were other ladies that were helpful and trying to help me find a solution to my problem.  Luckily the last rep that booked our appointment was the ideal worker and provided excellent customer service.  In addition the workers that came were great and two of the workers John and Tony stayed behind making sure we knew how to work our new unit, and go over any questions we may have.

I called last night and they offered to send someone. I asked them if they could send someone today and they did. They called back, let me know by text when my tech was on the way, with a picture of him, and he showed up shortly after. I had Nathan and he was awesome. We had that awful experience of our A/C not seeming to work on a Friday evening. My husband did some checking (breaker, fuses, condensate line) but with the in house temperature hitting 88, we realized we needed help. We saw A/C Doctors listed as 24 hours and gave a call. We were told the initial service call would be 39.95 and there was one person ahead of us for a technician nearby. Miguel arrived a little over an hour after we made the call. After some checking, he quickly figured out it was our thermostat. (We had been having some problems recently with it.) He was able to help reset it and got our A/C back on very quickly. He still suggested some routine maintenance care for our A/C that my husband was going to be able to do himself. We never felt he was suggesting anything more than what was needed or that he was trying to up-sell us on anything. We only ended up with the initial service call charge. We hope we do not need to use them again anytime soon, but would definitely call A/C Doctors again!

I've used this company for over a year now and they have been fantastic! This year I decided it was time to replace the Air Conditioner and Furnace in my home. I worked with Nathan to figure out what kind of Air conditioner would fit my needs best. After working everything out, Nathan was able came through with an outstanding quote that I couldn't refuse. Miguel was awesome! He came out to my house same day to look at one of my units that wasn't cooling. He found that the last person to service my AC did some really sketchy stuff and he fixed everything up in less than an hour and my unit started cooling right away! Miguel was very knowledgeable and professional. I'll be using A/C doctors from now on.

Called today, a Sunday, and actually got someone on the phone. She said there is a tech in my area and she will let him know to stop by. The tech, Justin, called and texted that he was on his way. Came sooner than I expected. Nothing really wrong so he also checked the whole system while he was here. A Sunday appointment and full inspection for $39.95. I am very satisfied with the service and would definitely recommend them.

WOW! AMAZING service. Our AC suddenly stopped last night at around 9pm. We placed a repair ticket with our Home Warranty Company and the earliest the could come out was Monday morning. We called around to a few different companies and each and every one of them said, We'll get back to you. No surprise, not one returned our calls. The next morning a friend told me to give A/C Doctors a call. Crystal was super helpful over the phone and scheduled us for same day at 7pm. We were so grateful that they could come out today that we didn't care what time. Crystal did say that if they could come out sooner they would let us know, but no guarantees....understood! 3:30 we get a call that they'll be here in 20 minutes. 4:15 they were done and out of here leaving us with a working AC. Amen! Thank you A/C Doctors. We would have spent almost the same amount with our Home Warranty service and we didn't have to wait until Monday. The guys were quick and professional. Would recommend them over and over and over again. THANK YOU!!!!!

This morning my heat quit working.

I called the property management and told them it needed to be fixed ASAP. They said they would be calling AC Doctors.

The technician (Jose) got here earlier than expected and fixed the problem in about 15 minutes. (bad capacitor)

I highly recommend AC Doctors. Excellent communication from the front office, the tech arrived early, and got the problem fixed quickly.

I'm giving these guys two stars because up until recently they were awesome. I've used AC Doctors exclusively for the last several years for all of the rental properties that I have throughout the Valley. Overall I was impressed with their honesty and integrity. That was until the last visit. I had them come out for an A/C unit not turning on. I talked with the technician once he got there and explained the situation and then let him go up and do his thing. About a hour later her comes back down and is like it's fixed. That'll be $1,600 at first I thought he was joking. In the past the repair would only be started once I as the customer approved the work/price so it was super sketchy to complete the job first and then come down and demand payment for a price that had never even been discussed. The unit he worked on was almost 20 years old so spending $1,600 was almost half the cost of a new unit so I probably just would've put a new unit in rather then just patching this one up that won't last much longer. I called other AC companies later that day and asked them how much repairs that were done would cost and they quoted me half of what these guys charged. That's also not to mention that the tech that came out sprayed water into AC unit and caused water to flood all over the floor below inside of the condominium. I also had them quote me on an AC unit installation for another property. They came in the highest out of five contractors. The contractor I ended up going with installed the same AC brand unit that they quoted me for 25% less. I definitely will not be using these guys ever again.

Arizona summer, you can fry eggs on the pavement. The only thing that keeps me alive is the AC in the house. When my AC stopped working properly in June, I felt miserable! Multiple technicians had come to my house but couldn't fix it. One of them even recommended me replace the entire AC unit. Then, AC doctors sent Mr. Armando Roman. To my surprise, as I described the issues, he already had an idea what went wrong. He did some testing, and then fixed the issue for us. The entire time, it was about 110 degree outside and even hotter around the AC unit. He is very prepared, professional, and experienced. Thanks to him, our AC is finally cooling the house!

Woke up several times last night feeling cold. I thought maybe it was just me. This morning I checked the thermostat and the indoor temp was cooler than the heater setting... The heat wasn't coming on. I did some troubleshooting after which I called a friend asking for an HVAC referral. Her brother in law highly recommended A/C Doctors, so I gave them a call. A few hours later 2 techs were at my door. They were both friendly & wearing company shirts, which is comforting when allowing strangers into your home.
Pete (I believe that was the name of the lead tech) was super professional, seemed very motivated and happy to answer all my questions, and knew exactly where the system was having problems. He climbed into my attic and replaced/rewired a fuse very quickly. He explained everything he was doing and gave me no reason to question his integrity.
I'll certainly be calling A/C Doctors for my future HVAC repairs!

We had one of our A/C units go out yesterday. We called AC Doctors and they had us scheduled for this evening for a 2 hour window and showed up close to the beginning of it. When we needed a new A/C, we contacted AC Doctors since we've used in the past and had excellent service.  We got an estimate and scheduled the replacement within a couple days. Luis Urquidez and his crew of 2 arrived exactly when promised and completed the replacement in 4 hours, which really amazed us since the last unit took a day and a half to install with a different company. Luis was super courteous and informative, especially when explaining the new thermostat and remote sensor.  We were especially pleased that they were able to take apart the air handler and reassembled it in the attic, instead of cutting a hole in the ceiling. Our crawl space is tight and the last company that replaced this unit 10 years ago cut a hole and left it for me to do the drywall work to seal it back up.  Luis saved us valuable time and energy by cutting a hole but instead made it through the existing crawl space in a couple pieces. The whole crew did a great job and cleaned up as if they were never here. We will continue to us AC Doctors in the future and would highly recommend them.

I saw an online special for a $40 tune-up and decided my 8-year-old a/c unit could use it. They scheduled an appointment for the next day via email, which is great if you're like me and not a phone person. They did my tune up and recommended adding a pound of freon, which I took their advice on. They were done in 20 minutes and I was very pleased that they didn't try to sell me any other services or repairs, knowing that my unit was nearly a decade old and had never been serviced before. I will definitely call them again if I need maintenance.
