Union Plumbing

So, Union Plumbing has being taking care of us and our 80yo house for over 5 years. We live in Manhattan Heights and the plumbing in our house was that old in several areas. We still had clay pipe in some areas and in the Back yard that was piecemealed together with clay, cast iron and PVC pipe and pipe clamps, seriously! We've had water lines burst in the middle of winter, under the bricked patio, toys flushed down toilets, (we adopted 6 kids after moving in) and a kitchen sink that literally had a pea trap that was made of cardboard and Duct Tape that can come all apart. We'd called other companies when we first moved in and had the issues crop up, but they'd either show up, take $100 to start the work and never return, or simply set appointment times and never come. Then we finally Found Ruben and Union Plumbing and we've never had another issue that couldn't be or wasn't resolved in a timely affordable manner. And with 9 of us now, we need affordable! But things happen so you also need dependability. You get that TEN FOLD with Ruben and Union. Same day service is possible most of the time for emergencies, but if not he will stay in contact with you otherwise and get there ASAP. You never have to wonder if they forgot you like with so many other home service companies in this town. If Ruben himself can't come, he sends a highly capable person that's just as concerned about taking care of you. I've had jobs that took an hour and I've had jobs that took over a week, and they always clean up, and put everything back exactly the way they found it. They always have you test everything to make sure you're satisfied, not just say we're done and hand you an invoice. If you need trustworthy plumbing done anywhere in El Paso, the ONLY one to call is Union Plumbing.

I had a sewage line that was clogged. Initially I called Pro techs plumbing & mechanical to fix the issue. Within a few minutes of the plumber being at my home, I found myself trying to encourage him to continue to try to unclog the line. He said the line was collapsed due to tree roots and for $ 850 he would fix the issue. He did not fix the issue and charged me half of the fee for attempting to fix it. I then called Union Plumbing. The gentleman on the line was very professional. The two men who arrived (Tommy & Danny) were polite and efficient. In twenty minutes they were able to fix the issue. They said the line was clogged within 5 feet and that my line was not collapsed. I am extremely happy with the service provided and I would definitely recommend Tommy & Danny to anyone who is experiencing issues.

I'm shocked to be the first review! I've been a loyal customer since 2016. Ruben Cortez is the most professional, responsive and courteous businessman I've met in a very long time.
Mr. Cortez shows up when promised and gets the job done in an efficient and speedy manner. He NEVER leaves a mess for me to clean and his prices are extremely reasonable. I wholeheartedly recommend Ruben and his team and I can also guarantee they'll exceed your expectations.

Completely reliable and excellent communication. Fixed a wobbly toilet and installed a kitchen dishwasher.  Everything was installed without hassle, always kept me informed of unexpected (unforeseen) things as they arose. Will definitely keep them in the Rolodex.

I was given a quote for 1300 for installation of a new hot water heater, I okayed the job. After they completed their work they informed me the price was almost 1600. They did not honor the quote, or even inform me (I was home the whole time) of the price difference until AFTER they were done. I felt completely blindsided. I called later that day, and so did my husband, but no one of authority ever called us back. Very disappointed.

Great job, showed up on time, did the work as quick as need be, and they showed up following Covid 19 guidelines.

Highly recommend them.  Will use them again.

Don't he a 915 cell number but state that I live in El Paso and give my address still no call.

Came out and checked my grandmas house for a leak for no charge. There was no leak in any of the plumbing but they let me know it was likely a roof leak. My grandma lives alone and I didn't know where or how bad the leak is. They were able to give me a good description and idea about who to call next.

I scheduled Union Plumbing to fix a toilet and outdoor spigot last week, and Jesus did an amazing job.  I was very impressed with his work - he was quick, efficient, and knew exactly what to do.  I was so pleased with Union Plumbing that I had them replace my hot water heater yesterday.  They showed up early, and had everything ready to do the job.  They replaced my old water heater and I had hot, running water in less than an hour.  Ruben is wonderful to work with, and his staff are very knowledgeable about their work.  I have recommended Union Plumbing to my co-workers, and will call them for all of my plumbing needs.

It seems like every year I have to call a plumber out to repair a leak in the water sprinkler system/ shut off valve contraption that is ugly as sun and site right outside my front door. The top part has rings inside and they crack or warp. Last year the entire pipe cracked. What a pain. So this year was no different- and then to top it off, my front yard faucet AND the back one too were leaking!
This year I called Union Plumbing. What I love about them right off the bat, is that a nice lady (yes a live person) answered my call instead of an answering machine- and it was the weekend. She told me the earliest they could get someone out was today but the would squeeze me in if there was a cancellation.
They had a time window of when they were expecting arrive and I got a text message the night before as a reminder and another one this morning when they were on their way.
Two really nice guys showed up and the showed me everything and explained everything. They had a tool that can sense water/ a leak inside the wall and that was a blessing- although Luciano would have loved it if these guys started cutting a hole in the side wall so he could have a doggie door! So they replaced the part, had me run the sprinkler for two minutes and rechecked for any leaks- it is nice and dry. Then they went o to work on the faucets, front and back, and replaced parts there also. Everything is nice and snug now!
Best part is that when I went to check in on Yelp, they had a 5% discount coupon for the labor costs!!!! This came in handy today for sure.
All in all, I am thankful they were able to see what they needed without tearing holes in the wall. They were on time and the service from the phone call I placed to them taking care of my property (rolling up the hoses) was A+++.

Both of the technicians were professional. They did a good job with the work and cleaned up after they finished. Everything regarding my bill was explained to me.
