Matt's amazing responsiveness helped make our very nerve-racking burst pipe situation as bearable as could be.  In ten years of living in Uptown Dallas, we have never found a plumber we liked-- until now.  Matt's company had great communication-- even during the 2021freeze of the century when most plumbers didn't even return calls. They were reliable, and priced right.  He sent out Dalton, who was a pleasure to have in our home and was super quick and efficient.  We have finally found the best plumbing company ever!

These guys seem okay. It's almost impossible to know (unless you are a plumber) if you are getting the best repair, diagnosis,  or value. But Matthews seem like straight-up, decent guys that know the business.

Our kitchen vent pipe was cracked and causing problems under our sink. Dalton from Mathews Plumbing came out when it was scheduled and gave us a quote and a time when he could perform the repair. He showed up when he said and made the necessary repairs. Dalton from Mathews Plumbing is our plumber!!!

Here are the good things about Matthews Plumbing:
1). Matt assured me that he would take care of me.  This was comforting since I was home alone, and I discovered my water heater problem on the weekend.
2).  Everyone at Matthews Plumbing was kind and courteous.
3). It appears they did a quality job.
4).  We did agree on a price.  It seemed really expensive to me, but since that time, I've done research on the cost of replacing a water heater, and they are in the going rate ballpark.  

Peace of mind is with a lot, and I got that plus a new hot water heater.  Not too shabby!

I had an issue with a hot water heater on a Friday night and Matt called me back right away.  He walked me through a few steps to take/troubleshooting and really helped me out.  I would recommend him to anyone with a plumbing issue.  Very helpful!

Our shampoo bowels started backing up at our salon (Pure Salon in Irving .We are an Aveda Concept Salon). These guys were amazing! They made sure they were here bright and early when we opened and had our shampoo area up and running in under an hour! They were very professional and made sure everything was cleaned up before they left. I highly recommend them.

Can I give them 10 stars?!!!

During Storm Uri -- we lost power, heat, and water.  I reached out, and even though we were just outside their service area they worked with us to get a check and repair on our pipes.  

The office team was very responsive, took the time to listen, worked with our schedule (we stayed out of town with family to keep warm, etc), and then kept us up to date on expected schedule.  

Dalton, the service tech/plumber, was here inside the expected 2 hour time frame.  He did a quick inspection, asked a few more questions, and got the job done in a quick and professional way.

In a very stressful time -- power outages, freezing weather -- this is the type of service we all want.  Thank you Matthew, Dalton, and the rest of the team!

Just got off the phone with matt and I was so impressed with his kindness and professionalism that I had to hop on here and leave him a review. We have a leak in front of our house and although he is totally booked for an entire week, Matt took the time to chat with me in depth and discuss our problem in detail. Even though he was unable to come out and assist, he walked me through what it would probably take to repair it ourselves. He even recommended a place to shop for parts and if that's not enough he offered to help us over the phone if we got in a jam. That my friends is what I call outstanding customer service! Did I mention his estimate was like half of what the other plumbers wanted to charge me? I will absolutely give Matt a call in the future for all of our plumbing needs! Matthews plumbing was able to send out a plumber (Dalton) to us very quickly. We had a burst pipe due to the winter weather. Dalton was great! He was able to find the pipe with limited damage. He even found some exposed wires and was able to mitigate this as best he could. Potentially saving our family from a house fire! We couldn't be more thankful for Matthews plumbing. Thank you!!!!

A couple nights ago, one of our upstairs sinks was backing up. Didn't seem like a big issue, but it got worse with the downpour we had yesterday. I called Matthews Plumbing at 9:30pm, the son answered and said he could come out the next day. He came out early afternoon and the problem was fixed within an hour. Really nice, knowledgeable guy, he explained what was going on to us. Will absolutely use them again.

matt wanted me to call him so I did left message he called me back.matt does not agree with what I have said. 1. thing is wrong found out today that he did give the right brand of water heater but I was told wrong. another  thing matt said was about the mail he does not have 30 minutes to go to p.o.  and send  estimate to us .he calls it snail mail people use email now which our computer doesn't work right our problem not his ,but this one time I thought maybe he can send p.o one time.but no that's only mine and my mothers opinion.matt keeps saying he doesn't agree with what I have been saying which was the water heater brand which I changed that.also my mother and I thought which is only our opinion that 100.00 dollars to go out and look was to high we thought 50.00 so we are wrong about the estimate. that is ok but dont be rude about that and go on and on about what you have to pay out. :  that is only our opinion.but matt drags it out about what all he has to do and what he has to pay. matt is harassing me now about the review I wrote saying he called yelp and he is going to have me blocked because matt and his sons have good reviews I said that there was another one and matt said he did do that job I believe.matt just kept harassing me about my review if I did not  take off he would have yelp delete my review and block me from using yelp. in my opinion that is a threat isn't it ? the site is to Express your a opinion of a company either good or bad right?  and he is telling me about how home depot at 2 am would not show up in the morning but he would .which matt keeps on asking me if I'm going to change my review . I again asked about the estimate he said it was still 100.00 . so he is saying to me that is extortion and he keeps on harassing me about my review then on top of that a few hours later matt sends me a text message again harassing me on the review .and a few phone calls .which in the beginning he thought we should cut ties with each other which was fine with me matt might be a nice person but to me only my opinion he was rude about the estimate he could have one time sent threw regular mail. but didnt and was giving me all excuses why he couldn't. and like I said there was a mix up on the water heater brand he said the right one which is rheem. but I was told Bradford white. all in all I would still give him one star because of his attitude speaking to me the way he did and continue to harass me about my review he might have a good business but you also have to know how to communicate with people have a good attitude and not harass them I dont appreciate that. with  that been said I have proof that he called me and texted about the yelp review .he is the one that thought we should cut ties as he calls it which was fine and being rude about the sending of the mail.and now harassing me about my review and blocking me . like I said I give him one thing I was told that he said the right name of water heater but when I was told it was a different brand.  which it mattered a lot because my mother wanted the same exact brand because it lasted so long.but the rest is unprofessional. I don't usually give my reviews but the way he talked to me and in my opinion harassing me now with changing my review or get blocked on the yelp site and deleting it and the phone calls and text.

My gas line was leaking and a plumber who does not work with gas referred Matthews Plumbing to me.  I called 7 plumbing companies and they had the quickest turnaround and most affordable price, along with quality work.  They also ended up changing out my hot water heater at the same time.  They hit a couple unforseen bumps along the way and worked extra to ensure I could get my gas turned back on quickly.  Both Matt's are kind and kept me informed of progress regularly.  Highly recommend!

Had a leak in my refrigerator water line. Looked on Yelp for a plumber and chose Matthews Plumbing because they were local and had good reviews. Called for appointment around 11:00 and they were at my house by 3:00. Very knowledgeable and quick. Gave me options for my issue and very particular about things being done correctly. Super nice on the phone and in person. Highly recommend for any plumbing needs.

Had an emergency leak in my W/D connection box, and thankfully was able to find Matt via yelp to help me out on the fly. To make matters worse, I wasn't even home.

It didn't matter though bc i had someone let them in, and they were able to get on site and repair the issue within a few hours. Solid pricing too! (Didn't ruin my weekend :)

Definitely my new go-to in the DFW area for any plumbing needs.

Mat was the only one that responded with same day availability out of 6 requests I sent out and I feel lucky he did. This was during the ice cold weather when all the pipes are bursting in Dallas. This establishment is a father and son team. Just the 2 of them. The service prompt, very efficient, and I feel like the price was very fair. Good guys to have on your house needs rolodex.

This review is for customer service only. I called today because we needed someone to come out to unclog our drain. They didn't have anyone available, but the person who answered the phone was so kind. He asked a few questions about our issue and said he couldn't get anyone out this afternoon, but could refer us to someone good who probably could. He gave us the number to another service (they were great) and said he'd keep our name and number in case they had a cancellation later in the day.

Even though we didn't get to use their services this time, this will be the first place I call next time we need help with plumbing.

If I could give negative stars I would.  Took the day off from work for scheduled install of kitchen sink (which is hard to live without).  The window was 10am -11am.  At 11:30am I texted to see if I could get an estimate arrival time.  No response.  I called at noon and Matt texted me he would call in 15 mintues.  That was literally 27 hours ago and I never received a call or a text from him.  I understand emergencies happen but not follow up at all is inexcusable.  I would not waste my time with this company.

It was pure coincidence that we met Matt while we were at a plumbing supply store and he was available to install 2 water heaters for us with really quick turnaround.  I'm normally pretty cautious about working with folks I just met but Matt's personality, forthcoming nature, willingness to answer questions and positive reviews on Yelp sealed the deal.  I'm so glad we went with our gut.  Dalton wasn't just on time, he was a little early getting started on our job. He's a whiz when it comes to water heater installations!  He was just like Matt in a lot of good ways: friendly, personable, very knowledgable.  He was quick and efficient and kept up great conversation with my fiancé as he installed the water heaters.  Matt popped in to check on progress, deliver and get additional supplies, provide guidance, etc.  They work well together.  I was just as impressed with the professionalism of the team: LuAnn texted and/or called me to keep me informed of progress.  They pulled all the permits as required by our city and LuAnn didn't send an invoice until she received confirmation that the water heaters had been through and passed inspection by the city.  We were IMPRESSED!! Nobody else who did estimates even mentioned permits.  We paid with a credit card and Matt and LuAnn were very straightforward about the small and reasonable up-charge for the credit card processing fee. The experience couldn't have been better and we're glad to have found our go-to plumber! We'll definitely be calling Matthews Plumbing again!

Our main sprinkler valve broke less than three hours before we were boarding for a flight! We got ahold of Matthews Plumbing and sent pictures of the issue. One of his workers came out immediately to assess the damage and got us all fixed up while we were out of town. They're very honest, knowledgeable, and will work with you! They were able to come out and help us unclog our kitchen sink the next day. Arrived at the agreed time window. Very nice, knowledgeable and courteous service. They also helped us rearrange our weird piping under the sink. They take cards (via Square), Zelle and Venmo. Will ask for their help again if another plumbing problem arises~

What an OUTSTANDING service! Matthew's plumbing was not only the fastest one to respond (Feiday at 9 pm!!) to an urgent request. Next day first time in the morning he showed up and managed to fix the water heater! Talk about COMMITMENT!

Matt was super knowledgeable and had a pretty good idea of what the problem was, before he even inspected it! And the bill... right on point. There was also another minor point that Matt took the initiative to repair (small item). He called me and I missed his call but by the time I called him back (hour later), he had already taken care of it, even before knowing whether or not I was going to agree to pay, but he knew we wanted to get the problem fixed ASAP.

Overwhelmingly positive experience. I highly recommend Matthew's Plumbing for your next project! 5 STARS!

While scrambling to get a plumber, I reached out to Matthews Plumbing and they were not able to get to me before another plumber could. Without any prompting, they checked on me periodically and added me to their schedule in the hopes of getting to me since we had no water. Jana, who I assume does the scheduling, is so sweet and made me felt like I was important, even if they weren't able to get to me. She expressed sympathy for the situation and really tried to get us squeezed in. I appreciated the kindness during a rough week, even though we didn't end up using their services.

I'm beyond grateful and satisfied with my entire experience with Matthews plumbing, from the customer service to the repairs. The owner was very quick to reply to my inquiry, and was very accommodating to my needs. He was readily available to answer any questions, and was very easy to communicate with. I live in a condo and don't have access to shut my water off, and he was able to work with my complex and their scheduled water shut-off. He was also very affordable, and worked with me on the cost of the repair. I had 2 leaky shower faucets, and Dalton repaired them quickly and properly. They went above and beyond to put me (their customer) first, and to make sure that my needs were met and that I was 100% satisfied. I was 110% satisfied, and I can't thank them enough.

On Wednesday, during the recent freeze here in Irving, our hot water line over the kitchen burst and flooded our kitchen.  While it was all happening, I was on Yelp looking for plumbers.  I found Matthews Plumbing and we called them immediately based on their reputation.  We were not disappointed.  Because there are so many people without any water at all we were, rightfully so, pushed out until Saturday but they stayed in touch with us and let us know they'd be here today (Saturday).  They showed up on time, were courteous, friendly and professional.  They got our hot water back online quickly and charged us a reasonable amount for doing the job.  All we can say is, thank you!

Matt is the absolute best. He helped us with two of our commercial properties at the time of the winter storm and showed up so quickly and communicated with us throughout. It was such a stressful time since our building had flooded and plumbers were impossible to reach but Matt was so organized and timely, treating our project with urgency so we could get all the tenants to be able to move back in quicker. He was also still so reasonably priced even though so many plumbers were taking advantage of pricing since the demand was high with the storm. We also just had him help with our residential plumbing recently and had the same positive experience. We've worked with a lot of people in the construction industry for our properties and it's so hard to find people who are trustworthy where we don't have to question whether they are quoting something we don't need or increasing the price because it looks like we can afford it. We've never have to worry about that with Matt.

They want re-plumb your home. They give you the most expensive solution for your issue.  I bought a $1.89 part and fix the issue myself.  Their quote was over $450.00. You decide?

Dalton came on time. He replaced one vacuum breaker on my outside faucet and explained why we need this safety item. The other leaky faucet was too old so he replaced it. Took his time and was very careful to install it correctly and replace brick on exterior so it looked original.. Highly recommend this plumbing company. Price was reasonable also. Five stars.

I can't speak to Matthews work, but I can speak to his customer service and initial phone call.
Matt really took the time to help put me on the right track with my water heater installation and did not try and use me in any way.

He will answer at any time and is willing to give very good advice over the phone if he is already on a job. It's very hard to find a plumbing company that will do both of those things. And even harder to find someone who's honest about their prices and service time. I would definitely recommend him if you have a need for a plumber.

Complete lack of responsiveness or living up to commitments.   I contacted Matthews to replace the rings on our outdoor fire pit.  They initially came out and did some work to the lines and put a straight bar across the circular pit.  We thought that would be fine, but it turned out not to be appealing or produce even heat. So, we reached back to have them replace the bar with a ring.  They said they would get us a quote by the end of the day.  After not hearing back, I texted the next day (12/14) to get the quote.  The owner said they could get the ring on Amazon and they would be out the next week to do the work.  As of Thursday,  12/19 I hadn't heard from them, so I sent a text asking when they'd be out.  They asked if 12/26 worked.  I said yes. 12/26 came and went without a peep.  So, on the 27th I asked again. I get next week is better. OK?.  Again, I say yes and again I hear nothing.  At this point I have given up and am contacting someone else. Save yourself the hassle and do that from the beginning.

Our sewer backed up on a Friday night, which was horrible. We called everyone, but Matthews Plumbing was the only company who was able to come to the rescue that night. Mathew (son), one of the owners, came himself to clear up the obstruction. We were so grateful! After he ran the camera through the sewer pipes, he spotted two areas where the pipes were coming apart and sent us the footage. Matthews Plumbing quoted us a fair price for the project and were able to get started on the repairs by Monday. We had a lot of questions, but they were patient and gave us all the explanations and information we needed. We trust this company, and they seem to know their stuff. Definitely use these guys!

After the cold weather in February 2021, we thought there was a leak in one of our bedrooms on the third floor. We called Matt, and he thought it would be a three-week lead time before he could come out, however he was out to our house within three days.  When he arrived, he inspected the water marks and determined that it was not a pipe that had broken, rather it was a leak coming from our roof and I should call our builder.

It is nice to meet plumber who doesn't do work that is unnecessary and charge unnecessary costs. I would highly recommend that if you need plumbing work completed, you use this company .

I used Matthews Plumbing last week for a clogged kitchen sink and was very impressed by their services.
They were efficient, worked clean and were very upfront with pricing.  
I like that they are not your big-box  Plumbing Company and they were not  overpriced.  I have used other Plumbing companies before (but their price was always insanely high)

Unfortunately I don't remember the name of the technician that came over to my house.  The guy was very respectful, used a mask and used shoe protectors. I could see that this plumber was very meticulous about his job and made sure the problem was solved.  I recommend his service and I am very happy that I found this company for any future need.

I wish I could write a better review, but I can't.  He was very prompt in getting me scheduled and sent his son out the next day.

I had broken the stopper to my master bath and in my lack of knowledge for replacing it, I created a leak between the pipe and the basin of the sink.

I had explained all of this and more to Matt before the appointment, but it seems there was no communication between Matt and his son.  The son hooked everything back up and left.  Water was all under my sink when I got home from work and my wife just said he told her he had left to get a part.  

I saw I had a voicemail for Matt and called him back.  He stated he didn't know what had happened and would give us a call in the morning to schedule an appointment that day or the next.  I explained to him again what the issue was and told him I looked forward to hearing from him.  I got off the phone and took pictures and sent them to him while explaining the issue for a third time and told him our availability.  I haven't heard from him since and ended up calling someone else to fix my handiwork.

Great plumber. Very fast response time as well as a follow up call later to make sure the job was satisfactory.

They are not the cheapest plumber I have used in the area, but their prices are not too high, either. Definitely good if you want the job done right. Highly recommended.

The price was reasonable, The owner is a good guy; they were the only company that agreed to come out on the day I called. (My house had no water at the time, and no one else would commit to come in the next 48 hours.)

Problem: Gas Leak in wall between laundry and kitchen. Home Warranty company sent a plumber (not Matt) who said he couldn't find a leak but smelled something (maybe carbon monoxide -- he was blowing smoke as CO is odorless-natural gas has additive and does smell for your own safety; this plumber then recommended an HVAC repair to my home warranty) -- HVAC man said he can only look 5' from furnace and there was nothing he could do it was for a plumber (waste of my time which i already knew that but home warranties follow procedures); I called Atmos Energy to test as i was worried now; they turned off my gas because they found the leak in the room where I had smelled the gas -- so i was left with No Heat or Hot water on Saturday at 4PM and New Years Eve 2017 weekend with a 2 year old and a very sick husband and the home warranty company recalled the first plumber who obviously had no interest in fixing the problem--he didn't call me back. Weather 25'F.  Results:  After lots of coercing-my Home Warranty Company permitted me to go outside and find my own vendor to repair the leak on New Year's Eve since none of their vendors would come out Sat night/Sun/Mon Dec 30-31/Jan 1 and it was an open issue since the Wednesday before.  SOLUTION: Matt answered my call within an hour of calling (i had found 2 vendors willing but went with him because he sounded like he really understood the problem and could address it--expertise in natural gas pipes).  Bonus--he will work weekends and holidays for emergencies. He scheduled appt for Sunday afternoon (next day). He diagnosed the problem quickly -- Cut an 18 hole in my wall and luckily the area where the leak was nearby this opening -- did plumber things-pressure tested the pipe.  He repaired the pipe (by cutting/replace piping). He spoke to my insurance company and got the repair $$s approved.  He also assisted me in navigating the city of Keller and turning back on my gas with Atmos on off hours (not an easy process). He waited for the arrival of the gas company also. This repair kept us in our home (no need for hotel on new years eve). No frozen pipes.  Lesson learned--don't call Atmos when living in city of keller on a weekend--requires permit to turn back on gas and that can only happen during business hours and very very expensive (obviously maintain safety); Call someone that has the right equipment for natural gas testing and repairs and reasonable pricing --that is this guy; Talk to a plumber on phone not an answering service first before they come to your home to get a sense for what scenarios could be without surprise--that is this guy; Oh and Small Businesses often know their capabilities and other businesses --- good ones will also always tell you i can or can't but know someone that can and here is his number.  Happy Customer / Happy Family. Choose Matt.

Since my Company does not do gas work, we contracted Matthews Plumbing to run a gas service line for one of our customers.  His price was much less than 2 other companies we called out.  Matt and his son were very efficient in installing the gas line.  City came out and inspected the job and everything was perfect.  Highly recommend Matthews Plumbing for any gas project.

Had a rather large job, or so they claimed. Nobody ever showed up on time, took longer than promised and final cost was almost double when the bill came due. I wasn't informed until I was asked for final payment anything was more than expected. Unprofessional and terrible work. Finally finished paying them recently because I didn't have the extra they forced me to pay. Glad to be done with it and feel comfortable to leave a review so they can't charge me more money or use a lien like they swore they would after getting nothing in writing on the estimate or costs, no contract for work. Will never trust a plumber again.

Honest Plumber!!! Sunday night, clogged toilet was plunged and sewage backed up into the shower in the same bathroom! Needed someone asap. Matt called back right away, said he could have someone out next day but then asked me how old my house was - it's new construction, we've lived here only 6 months. Matt told me by TX  law, new construction plumbing is under 1 warranty and suggested I call the original plumber.  I asked  him to keep me on his books until the original plumber showed up, he did so I texted Matt to cancel my appt. He could have taken my $$ for sure but I sure do appreciate his honesty. As soon as our warranty is over, I will be using Matt for all my plumbing needs!!

Matthews came out and help me determine exactly how to address one of my clients concerns.   My client had called three plumbers and all of them no showed without as much as a phone call.  I called Matthews and they showed up as expected.  As a licensed Realtor it is hard to find plumbers that show up on time, work hard, and can clearly explain the situation.  Their level of professionalism was greatly appreciated.

Our experience with Matthews Plumbing was so convenient! We had an issue with a toilet valve constantly running and then found that the water shut off valve was also faulty.  Dalton was able to make it out to the house within an hour or so.  He did an excellent job and was very polite and explained everything. When we have plumbing issues in the future, you will be our first call.

Matt and his son, are a couple of really great guys. I moved into my current home about a year ago and always had some weird odor coming from some of the sinks and had some toilets clog often until a couple of days ago my main line got completely clogged. I contacted them and within the hour they got back to me with the earliest availability and the lowest price out of all the plumbers I contacted in my area. They explained to me everything they were doing and were quick and professional. I will recommend Matthew's plumbing  to my friends and family and I appreciate the fact that when I called I spoke directly to the owner not a scheduler.

I had an issue with my master toilet that's been on and off. Unfortunately the day that Matt visited was the day it was doing fine so no service was rendered. I was very impressed that they were able to come to my home same day and did not try to create a problem to solve to charge me for. He didn't charge me for the evaluation, which I thought was above and beyond because I do believe in reimbursing people for their time and expertise. I will definitely be using this company in the future!
