Established in 1980.
Mr. Lowerybegan his business in 1980 as a small residential plumbing heating and AC construction company. In 1990, he made the transition to a residential plumbing heating and AC company. His goal the entire time was to provide the Lubbock area people with the finest products and services that could be given. His demand for himself and his employees has always been to remain ethical and honest in their interactions with customers. He maintains the highest expectations for his people in delivering Customer First service. Recognizing and respecting the customers' homes and their rights to choose any company for such services. We strive for superior service by giving the customer what they don't receive from other similar service companies, highly trained employees, finest brands, and the freedom of choice in what they purchase. They should have their homes and lives significantly improved when they choose a service and a product, and we endeavor to provide just that.

Update: Lowery's camera person never showed up but thankfully the tech from Joe Rushing Plumbing did. As part of his service, he snaked and scoped every vent on that side of the roof. The Lowery plumber only ran one line, the wrong line. Needless to say, the tech from Rushing was able to locate and clear the clog. He even shared the camera screen with us to show us the problem and the fact that he cleared it (we ran water down the sink, I added some food coloring and the water turned red as it flushed). I must say that Lowery's did send me a check for the $49.50 I paid so at least they opted to do the right thing in that regard. I did pay a little more to use Rushing, BUT I have a working drain and a Zero cost fix moving forward.

Beware of Lowery Plumbing! They charged my morher $255 for a start capacitor for the A/C fan. It's a $20 part! They quoted her $700 for a fan motor (WTF). The company is a complete rip off!

Don't let the 24/7 plumbing fool you.  I called at  10:45 pm for an emergency service call.  At 11:15 the call center called back asking if I had received a call from the plumbers.  I answered I had not.  At 12:15 I called back to get more information and they said that they could not page the plumbers after midnight and they would schedule something in the morning.  It is now noon and I have not received a call although I was already able to go buy the parts myself now that the stores have opened and fixed it.

I had a plumbing issue at my house and originally was told it would take one day to fix the problem. I had Airbnb guests so I needed to be updated promptly about the water shut offs. Even though I told them this and talked to several different people, I was ALWAYS misinformed about the amount of time the water was going to be shut off. On the 3rd day of the supposed 1 day job, they tell me that this will be the last day working at my house and the water will be off for only an hour. After I reached out to them in the middle of the day, they finally explain the situation and tell me that the water will be shut off for 6 hours instead of 1. Then later someone said actually the water is going to be shut off until 8:30am tomorrow, So I have to get my guests a hotel for the night. We will see tomorrow (4th day) if that's the truth or not. I won't be using them again.

Great experience. We had an air conditioner issue (our fault) on Sunday. They answered our call and had the a/c tech call us back quickly. The tech was on time,curious and even showed us how to mediate any future problems!!  Thank you Lowery's for being local, caring, and prompt. They are on the top of my recommend list. Well done Lowery's... well done

This company almost burned my house down  because of an  illegal and dangerous central heating and air install and had the nerve to try to blame it on me . I had a Lowery plumbing and heating, install a complete central heating and air unit in my entire house. this was a turn key system and cost around $10,000. I purchased the 10 year extended warranty as well. I had to make several service calls for the first 2 years due to various issues. One service call I had called to tell them that I smelled something electrical burning coming from the unit and the fan would not come on. three days later a technician  came by and said he  had to order a fan motor. That took another week to come in. keep in mind this is in July and the temps were over 100 degrees. finally ten days after they came out the first time the fan was installed. Early the next morning I was woken  up by the smell of something electrical burning. I turned off the AC/Unit and at 800 am I called Lowery to report it.  they didn't seem to interested in the fact that it smelled like electrical burning. I was on my way to work and a contractor that was working on the house called in a panic and stated that my house was on fire. I hung up and called the fire department. I then called Lowery and they seemed much more interested this time. they actually beat me back to my house this time. the fire was extinguished by this time and the Fire Marshal pointed out two causes of this fire. One, the AC unit in the house did not have a nut on the bottom of the conduit housing allowing the wires to rub back and forth on the metal AC enclose. this was left this way after the fan replacement. the day before. The second and most important failure was that when the unit was originally installed there was never a ground installed anywhere in the system, this unit had its own fuse panel power supply and all. not one ground was installed. the Fire Marshal pointed this out to the technician and he immediately got on the phone with the boss who had an attorney show up at my house with in an hour.  It has been two years now and not a single effort to make this right has been make. they even went so far, at first to claim that they did not even do the install. this went on until in produced the paper work showing the turn key install. they refused to do the warranty work that I paid extra for as well. Long story short when I call them they tell me that I have to have my lawyer call their lawyer. The fire caused over 15,000,00  in fire and smoke damage. Not to mention they could have had deadly consequences to me and my  family. Never use these guys they are unprofessional and do not stand by their work. and lie when you report them to the BBB.

SCAM ARTISTS.

Mid-afternoon they said it was my capacitor (on ac) and replaced it. Said it was fixed but to wait 4 hours for cool air... 3 hours later I called them back and was told the person was an hour away and had 3 hours of calls ahead of us. When he arrived (9pm) he said it needed a motor which would be $700, but there was no point in repairing it because the whole unit (5 years old) was messed up and we needed to spend $7,500-$10,000 on a new unit.

At this point it was almost 10, we got a hotel room and I was suffering from early stages of heatstroke. I get online and ask my neighbours (Nextdoor app) about the company and around 15 people responded saying that Lowery tried to force them to buy new units too.

The next day we called out Duncan who replaced the motor, said the unit was fine, charged us $400 including the call out fee.

Lowery seems set on nothing but replacing every unit they get their hands on. What should only have been $400 fee turned into $234 (capacitor which I'm sure would have been cheaper elsewhere) and $200 for hotel, almost $900.

I am debating going after them to pay my hotel fees.

BEWARE!! This company took advantage of my widowed mother. The person who sold her the system and installed it told her that the system included a 10 year warranty and maintenance plan that included filters and changes. This was a huge relief and the company was supposed to call her to schedule the promised maintenance- this never happened. She recently had an issue with the system and called to have the system looked at (10 year warranty and all). Now the company claims they have no record of the maintenance plan and are charging her an outrageous fee to change a filter- remember the 10 years of included filters and maintenance?
On top of this- the receptionist was extremely rude to my poor mom. After the year that we all had last year- a bit of grace and kindness goes a long way- do not do business with these people.

This company is a ripe off. Twice we have used them and they say it's a $50 service call. But it's alway several hundred of dollars. The guy that came out never said how much it was going to be until the end. He never explained and thing or cleaned up his mess. Still waiting for a receipt. So beware of this company.

RUN!  I was travelling and this company tried to take advantage of my wife.  Told her that the hot water heater wasn't repairable and needed to be replaced.  This without even looking at the water heater.  Then offered to fix this unrepairable water heater for $1300.  Then said he could also replace the gas valve, which may be the issue for $1450. Really, the gas valve may be the issue?  How about test it and determine, but this guy only pulled out his clip board and no tools.   I call Lowery and am run all over the place, even being told they don't repair, just install.  That is funny, not what their website says.  I get run all over the place, they won't return the service fee for work they never performed. Finally get a call from the manager and his response, we will just return your money and part ways as if I am the problem as the customer.  Never again.  BTW.  Went and got the part myself and had it working in a half hour.

My 85 year old mother was having a drain problem at her washing machine. She called Lowery. A service man shows up and attempts to run an auger down the vent. He claims that he's not able to do it. The blockage it too much. He sends a guy out for a complementary scope to see what the problem is.. This guy tells my mother that there's a severe break in the plumbing line under the concrete foundation of her house. He then sends another guy for a complimentary quote. All very nice guys. They yes ma'am'd and terribly sorry'd her to pieces. The estimate this guy came up with was in excess of $19000!
My mother called me every, very upset. I told her to call our regular plumber to get a second opinion. She did.. They came out, ran their auger with no trouble and everything drained. He told her there may be a small break which let some roots grow in the line, but it wasn't anything that couldn't be easily controlled. He suggested putting some rock salt down the line a few times a year to keep the roots killed back. My mother told him what Lowery had told her. She said that he shook his head and said They'll tell you anything

One of my tenants called Lowery Plumbing last Sunday to unstop her clogged toilet. The plumber worked for about 5 minutes, did NOT unclog the toilet, left a mess, and told my tenant she needed a new toilet. I called this plumber and was told that maybe a cologne bottle or something like that had fallen in the toilet and caused the clog.....ahem....EXCUSE ME....what a crock of you know what!!!!!! I asked if he had bothered to go outside and run a snake through the clean out valve...NO, he hadn't. I told him he needed to come back and do that and he said he was too busy!!! I then told him I would be calling his boss on Monday, at which time he said he would come back and refund her money. GEE THANKS... My tenant then called a handyman friend of her dad's who came over IN HIS CHURCH CLOTHES and unclogged the toilet in about 15 minutes. Call ANYONE, but DON'T call Lowery!!!

When out AC quit working we where told it was the blower motor. Three day later they figure out it was the control board. The blower worked again but the AC was still blowing hot air. When I asked if they would fix it, I was told I needed a new AC and quoted $10,000 for a 5 ton unit. No one ever look at the outside unit or put a gauge to check refrigerant and 5 tons is to big for my house. Found another plumber he got working and charged $250.

We had a shower back up on Christmas Day. The next day I called lowery plumbing to snake the drain. They said it would be Monday before they could come out. Monday at 4 in the afternoon they still hadn't called or came by so I called them and they said they could try again tomorrow. When the technician came and tried to snake it he said he was having trouble sending the snake down the drain and that he could set me up with a free camera service to see what is wrong. I said it would be great. After he continued to try to snake it. He then looked under the house and said the drain pipes where different sizes and that was probably the reason for the backup. He had a manager come out to give us a estimate on fixing the drain. They gave me an estimate of $1,425.00. We had to find someone else to fix the drain because we couldn't afford the $1,425.00. Now that we used someone else to fix the drain they won't do the camera unless I pay $200. Going against what I was told.

They installed a new a.c. for my 90 year old mother.
The compressor blew up 1 year and 3 weeks after install.said they could not warranty the compressor and we would either have to replace or get a whole new unit.Called another company that got the compressor warranted and got mom up and running at a reasonable fee.

I had a leaky faucet and just wanted to put a new faucet and cartridge on and it is old piping so Lowes didn't have a new one. They quoted me $1800 and told me it was RV parts. I couldn't afford that price so went to an RV parts store and they told me that it wasn't RV parts and told me of an amazing place called Fosters which has 50,000 parts. I bought the parts there for $50 and replaced them myself. So grateful for Foster's saving me $1750 dollars.

Avoid like the plague!! I called them 3 days ago with my plumbing emergency and was told they were booked for the day but would certainly get to me the following day. They took my information and insisted on a debit or credit card number. The next day i called to verify i was on the list. Late in the day i called again and was told they work until they finished the list and they would be by my house .... lie lie lie. Their commercials look good on tv but i have found out the hard way they are not to be trusted. If they are too busy or don't want my business tell me so but man up about it.

I called on Saturday afternoon because my air went out. A gentleman named Patrick called me back and said he'd be at my house within 20 minutes. I can't give this gentleman enough praise. He was extremely polite, knowledgeable and professional. He had the problem fixed in no time. I highly recommend this company and especially Patrick Castro. I hope the company recognizes the employee they have in Patrick.

This company is full of incompetents.  They installed a toilet and left the black cap in the pipe which washed down to a Y of pipes and therefore created a back-up in my kitchen sink.  They put a camera in there and then had to tear up the wall to repair the pipe.  They recommended we spend $11,000 to redo the 'bad pipes'.  We declined.  I had to call them repeatedly to come finish the work.  It took over 2 weeks.  They did not seem to know what they were doing or what they were fixing.  Shortly after, we had backup of sewage into the shower and tub and water rushing under the house.  This time I called Armstrong Plumbing.  Armstrong Plumbing said our pipes were GOOD, but that there was a blockage in them due to the previous plumber.  It cost us over $1700 to repair Lowery Plumbing's mistake.  I have contacted them many times with bills, pictures, etc. but they won't even give me a name of a person to talk to.  DO NOT USE LOWERY PLUMBING.  GO TO ARMSTRONG!!!  OR ANYONE ELSE.

Beware of this scam artist. We called with a blockage & they said we needed $18,000 of plumbing repairs. Thank goodness we decided to get a second estimate. The 2nd plumber not only cleared the blockage easily, but also  scoped the pipes confirming what my gut had already told me. Although I had to waste money paying 2 plumbers & take extra time off of work, at least I didn't take trust Lowery and pay out $$$ for unnecessary work.
