Amazing service on all levels - from the person that schedules calls to the guys that come out to do the work. I've used Lone Star to move a gas line into my kitchen and to install a hot water heater, and they have been attentive, professional, courteous and prompt on all occasions. The hot water heater was installed almost 2 years ago and a weird problem unrelated to the installation came up. They came out quickly and fixed it fast. Lone Star is for sure my go-to for plumbing problems.

We used them through Lowe's install. They were great! Was easy to schedule, notified us when on the way and he was in and out in less than an hour. Did a great job! Will use them again!

Lone Star came out and did our sink hookup through Lowes and these guys came out to Weatherford and did an outstanding job. Very professional and even called me that morning and gave a time slot and then called me 45 minutes out and showed up on time. I wouldn't hesitate to call them again. They cleaned up their mess and even complimented our Westie dog. Thanks Lone Star!

Scheduled our followup appointment with Lone Star Water Service for today. Took the day off, and they were a no show because I didn't answer my phone despite me being the one to call them to inquire what time they were coming today and despite my husband taking the day off to ensure they would have access to our home to close out our work order. Now they cannot even answer the phone to reschedule, even though we are the ones who will need to take another day off work to meet them. I would use another vendor. As soon as we finally get our AHS warranty work order closed out, I will no longer seek them for services.

Where do I begin. My hot water tank went out. It kept reseting, but not blowing the circuit breaker. I am covered by American Home Shield so I contact them. They dispatched Lone Star, and I had my wife take off for the appoint set from 2-6. They called me at 2 something and told me they were running 2 hours behind. I said okay. They called me at 8:30 pm next and asked if I still wanted them to come out, I said yes. 5 people with no hot water since Sunday??? They come out, look at my issue, tell me they have all the parts but the wire but not to worry someone will call me the next day to get me take care of. Okay time ticks by and no one calls me so around 1 pm the next day I call them up. I get Megan. I ask her when someone is going to be out as I took off another day, she tells me that she hasn't even got authorization or tech doesn't have the parts. I ask her if she had submitted authorization, she said yes, I said that's odd because the ac guy did it while he was here and it took 10 mins for me to get a call. I told her I was going to call AHS to confirm. I did, and while I was on the phone with AHS is when Megan submitted it. Not prior, and when she did she claimed I had a power surge. I had an electrician out Monday who said my house electricity was fine and tested everything. The circuit breaker for the hot water never tripped, only the reset button which indicates a bad heating element. I am certain Lonestar knows if they submit it as a power surge AHS will deny the claim. Problem is Lone Star techs didnt do anything but look at the hot water tank in the dark. They were here for 10-15 minutes. I will get a second opinion but just based on my knowledge of homes and the email I have from the electrician a power surge didn't cause my hot water tank issues. An electrician said this not a plumber. I can provide the email from the certified electrician anytime to Lone Star and AHS.
Update second AHS plumbing company came out said it was a thermostat short. Replaced the parts under warranty. I never told LSWS that I had a power surge. I told them I had an electrician look at my house first and all was good. I told them the circuit breaker never tripped which would of indicated home electrical issues.

Justin and James came out to look at our leaky hot water heater. They were professional, kind and very informative. They changed out the hot water heater in about an hour and updated me all along the way. They arranged for the city to come to inspect it at a time that was inconvenient for me. Couldn't have asked for better customer service!
They have great service. I would hire them again. The plumber was friendly and they completed everything in a timely manner. However, they could not come out the same day that is why I gave them a 4 instead of 5 They also have low prices, it was half the amount I got quoted from another plumber. They also gave me a one year warranty for the repair.
All I can say is DO NOT US THEM. I normally don't want to write bad reviews, but they are the worst. They came out to our home on 4 different occasions and did not fix what was broken. I called another plumbing company and they were able to fix what Lone Star said they couldn't or wouldn't fix. I will never recommend them ever.

Lone Star was sent to our home through AHS. We had a non working garbage disposal, leaking sink and a broken faucet. Megan took the call, to schedule. She had a great since of humor when I asked if they could just take the whole damn sink.
Two visits were needed due to a part not being available. Both times the technicians wore masks.
First visit, garbage disposal was a quick fix. A few days later, after AHS declined the repair costs, for the broken faucet and the worn seal on sink, Lone Star was back out. Megan was generous enough to keep the pricing of what they would of charged AHS. That saved us money!
They installed a new faucet and fixed the seal! No more leaks. Techs wore masks.
Megan is very professional and easy to talk to. She is the voice behind the scheduling
Happy Customers here.
Sent out by American Home Shield. They were quick to collect $75 visit fee on a defective hot water heater (yep, it needs to be replaced). However, getting the actual work done on a replacement proved to be a nightmare. Within 24 hours of inspection, AHS granted approval, but I never heard back from Lone Star Water Services. After a day and a half of waiting, I reached out to them directly and was told that the replacement work could be done on the following Monday. This was on a Thursday.
I made necessary arrangements to take off work on Monday to meet the crew. They never showed. I never got a call. Turns out that the one person in the entire organization who could size a tankless for the installation called in sick. And nobody bothered to contact the customer. So countless phone calls & 9 days without hot water later, I am searching for a new company to do the work.
Good Service. We had several calls and service visits. Cody was very good at keeping us up to date on the status. If you are dealing with a home warranty you really have to be patient and understand the process.
This company was sent by my home warranty company to look into possibly a failed hot water heater. We were getting no hot water to the master shower. The tech arrived onsite and advised my wife that the water heater wouldn't be claimable unless it ruptured. Fair enough right? The tech then proceeded to troubleshoot the issue and removed the shower knob breaking it in the process and then indicated on the ticket that we intended to fix ourselves. I called my warranty company who called the tech and was told he would be back the following day, he just didn't have this part on him at the time of the call. Now after a no show by the plumber, I'm being told knobs conveniently aren't covered under my warranty, and I'm left with a shower that is not useable. The knob was functioning just fine until this company came into my house.
Lone Star Water Services, LLC sent two individual out to my home for an appt on a friday afternoon to repair two toilets under my american home shield plan. They showed up empty-handed and proceeded to take pictures of the toilets with zero intentions on repairing anything (during a pandemic). When they told me what they thought was wrong I asked where are the parts to fix it? They lied and said they didnt have any parts. What kinda real Plummer in a plumbing van don't carry routine parts for a common toilet (Mansfield). They gave me an invoice and said someone would call me Monday. They were in a hurry to head to their final appt for friday afternoon. To add insult to injury I was charged a repair fee immediately following their visit. And the work order showed complete in the system. No one from lone star called on monday either, so I called them and left a msg. They called me back much later in the day to apologize and said they had the parts and scheduled to come out on Thursday. On the evening prior to the appt, the warranty company sent me an urgent email stating that there are limitations to the toilets repair because the plumbers had told them that the wrong handles were installed so they cannot work on the toilets at all even though they already charged me a service/repair fee. They are apparently scheming with the home warranty companies to scam money from hard working americans. I am a retired disabled veteran who served over 20 years in the military and do not appreciate being scammed. My two toilets are still broke and now I have to find a real and honest plumber. Save yourself an headache, don't trust them at all! Find someone else.

These guys are so incompetent that if there was a way to give negative 100 stars I wouldn't even hesitate to give negative 100 stars review. Two years ago water heater at one of my rental properties started leaking. At that time I had AHS home warranty and when I submitted the request AHS forwarded the request to this company. These guys came and said the water heater needs to be replaced. I asked how much it costs, they said it costs $1000 and this is on top of what AHS already pays them. I said this is too high, they got down the cost to $900. I know it was not the right price, but I had to go with them because the tenant was angry and I was out of the country during that time. They replaced the water heater. Fast forward to 2 years, the pipes the connect the hot water from heater to house, they used plastic sharkbites which buckled and caused a massive water leak. Thankfully this leak didn't go inside the home and it just leaking in the garage where the water heater is.
I would suggest run away from this company and they charge too high and do a very shady work.

Lone Star Water Services collected $100 to come out and spend 2 minutes taking pictures of the hairline crack in my toilet. American Home Shield claimed it was due to abuse. Who abuses a toilet? Toilets break, that's why I have a home warranty. What a freakin' ripoff.

This review is about Roberto. I cannot believe how professional this technician was. Courtesy, clean, and respectful. He replaced a wax ring in my toilet that was leaking and it was almost like he was teaching a master class in plumbing. It was actually pretty interesting to watch how smooth and clean he was. Great guy with excellent service. I simply cannot express how great the service was. Thank you again Roberto.
My water heater was no longer working and we needed a replacement. Lone Star Water services were able to replace it right away and the price was right too. Thanks you!
hired them to replace an outdoor faucet. Great service, good communication, and they were quick and efficient. Highly recommend these guys!

Kevin and his associate Matt were professional, knowledgeable, and courteous. They listened to my problem, snaked and scoped the main line, and showed me the issue on the camera screen.
Punctuality and timeliness were excellent both on the job and prior to arrival. I was told they would call between 0800-0900 with an ETA window, and they did. They gave an ETA window of 0830-0900, and they showed up on time. Being able to track their location online was a nice touch too. While here, they managed their time well, and I never felt like the job was rushed.
Where they went above and beyond was in professionalism. They were sincerely polite, thorough, and fully answered all of my questions.
Their proficiency, efficiency, and communication skills instilled trust and confidence, and I would absolutely recommend them to a friend/neighbor for plumbing repairs.
If I could give ZERO stars I would. The technician leaves a voicemail the day before with a time window, then the day of service instead of calling me ahead of time to let me know he is on the way he just shows up to my house.

The plumbers were super professional and they did very fast work! I will only use this company for my plumbing issues!
I contacted Dustin about replacing a kitchen sink & doing some minor repairs through out the house. Dustin not only quoted me accurate prices but he exceeded my expectations on delivery and installation. Feel comfortable in choosing this team of professionals for any of your plumbing needs
I highly recommend Lone Star Water Services.
Plumber over-diagnosed my issue as a break in the pipe, very quickly, but then rushed off saying he had to check with my home warranty. There was a drain backup in another bathroom but said they would fix that when they came back for the main issue. They were in my house for less than 5 minutes. The home warranty denied the claim. Now is where I have 2 big issues:
(1) I felt their diagnosis was fishy, so I had another plumber come out on my own dime. Turns out, the pipes were fine. There was no break, and all it took was a simple clean out.
(2) Since the home warranty denied the claim, I scheduled them to come back out for my other drain that they did not fix on the first visit. They didn't call to say they were on their way until nearly 7pm. 7pm! Without any courtesy we're running late call. They said my window was 9-6, but I requested afternoon due to work. They couldn't guaranty me afternoon, but said they would try. Said it could be earlier. I did not realize that afternoon meant a full hour after their scheduled time.
I had an American Home Shield claim for a leaky hot water heater. AHS sent out a Lone Star technician who determined that it needed to be replaced and AHS approved the replacement. Now, here is where the Lone Star scam starts.....they told me that it would be an additional $640 in out-of-pocket costs. In addition to the hot water heater replacement, they wanted to replace hoses, fittings, pipes, etc that the technician admitted were in good condition and didn't need to be replaced, just that it was 'their policy'. I want to be clear that this was not a code issue and everyone was aware of that. A bunch of BS. Companies like this enter into unfavorable contracts with AHS where they make little money but then they try to scam the consumer with this nonsense. I wasn't buying it. AHS is a scam too and I ended up taking the cash out option with them and replaced it on my own and paid considerably less out of pocket than what Lone Star was trying to scam me into paying. Don't use this company.

TERRIBLE! Very unprofessional and disrespectful. Never showed or would call at the end of the day saying they were not coming (8 hours after they were supposed to be present). And if they showed they would show up LATE EVERY single time. Was not considerate for their clients' time.
CODE - they are NOT up to date on code regulations. When the inspector came he noted NUMEROUS code violations. Including, most notably, a leaking gas line! They delayed our project significantly.
Workers SMOKED on property without asking. Left cigarette butts all over the property. And left trash all over. Did not clean up their mess.
We tried to give them the benefit of the doubt but finally had to fire them. The final straw was scheduling a time to install the toilet and he called at the time he was supposed to arrive saying he never ordered the toilet. We had already taken off work to allow them in the home to work.
Gave estimate, scheduled a time, showed up....very polite....fixed plumbing issues, even did some extra insulating etc. Highly recommend them. Very professional!

Got contacted LSWS through American Home Shield for a leak. They had a lead time of a few days so I did some work on trying to find the leak and found it in the wall coming to the outside. Plumber came and spent 1 min at the property and said he would write a report for American Home Shield and they would get back to me. American Home Shield said they were not liable for the leak based on the LSWS report which I found odd since they only spent 1 min at the property and didn't even find or give me an estimate on how to repair. Called LSWS and left a VM. Still waiting on a response from them on what they put in their report to LSWS. Not sure what information was put in report. Feel ripped off of $75 for them to come out and do nothing.
Roberto came out and fixed a sink issue for me. Great job - very personable, attentive and delivered great service.
Very pleased with the service that I received from this firm.

Lone Star came out in response to our America Home Shield claim and they were fantastic. We had an unusual problem of hot water coming out our cold taps. Two other plumbing companies were stumped and declined to even try, but not Lone star. They worked for two days diagnosing and trying different solutions. They never once complained or treated us differently then a typical client. I was extremely impressed with their professionalism and dedication to completing the job. Both Kevin and Jose were great to work with and did a wonderful job. Thanks again guys.
Unethical and Fraudulent!
Through AHS, they were authorized to replace a water heater in the garage. Lone Star then said that there are $950 in charges not covered by AHS to conform to town code. I discussed with my town code supervisor and he said that NONE of the code upgrades were required because of the water heater location. After a few weeks (yes, without downstairs hot water), the Lone Star plumber finally contacted town code experts. I told Lone Star to proceed and I would pay for required CODE WORK. They not only did unnecessary work, but they billed me for work that was not performed (such as running pvc drain outside and drilling through brick). The town code supervisor inspected the final work and confirmed that the upgrades were not necessary and that other billed work was not actually done. I've tried to work with them for MONTHS to try to resolve. Stay away from these guys!
[Professionalism] I would have checked all of the boxes. They were on time, professional, efficient, resolved my issues and were very helpful. They picked up my repairs from another AHS Plumber transferred my repairs, without notifying me. I am so pleased that they did!
Best plumbers I have used since moving to the Metroplex! Roberto was the technician who repaired my faucets and toilet feed line and valve issues. I would highly recommend Lone State Water Services and would use them again.
Not a happy customer at all. The technician did not seem knowledgeable and customer service was not willing to work and provide service with a senior technician. Asking for a different technician is not an unreasonable or impossible request, I guess.

Do not use this company!!
I called about black specks in my hot water back in January and someone came out to look at it and they said they needed to order a part for my water heater. They didn't come back until end of February when they said they ordered the wrong part so they would need to order the correct part and would be back the following week. I didn't hear anything from them for a month so I started calling them and they would not answer or return any of my calls. I would occasionally get through to a person and ask about the status of my part and would then be transferred to voicemail. This went on for about a month when I finally called the home warranty people that hired them. They told me they would have them call to set up an appointment to come finish their work. A week later, I still haven't heard anything so I called the warranty people and they called Lone Star only to be told I just need to clean my faucet and they aren't coming back. This is obviously not the case because it happens with all of my faucets and only with hot water. Needless to say, I am getting a second opinion and will not be using them again.

We had a leaky sink that they came out to repair. The tech, Kevin, was very nice and followed the instructions I gave him via text about entering the house. Worked was performed in a professional manner. I was a little bummed that he did have a mask or foot protection, which I assume is no fault of his own (visit was during peak of COVID-19). I called the office before his visit and was assured they were following all CDC guidelines. Get your techs some PPE!
I called American Home Shield have a plumber come out to find out why my water bill had shot to $350/mo. They sent out Lonestar Water Svc who initially said they couldn't find the leak and wold have to come back. On the second visit a week later, they located the leak to my master bedroom closet. They tore up my closet wall and ripped up my carpet in this process. They told me that I'd have to call American Home Shield to have this damage repaired. They said the next step though was to jackhammer the slab in my closet to further locate the leak and that AHS would only cover $600 of this $$$ repair. I called for a specialized leak locator company for a second opinion.
The second guy took a week to come out but when he did he located the leak to a faulty faucet-type cut-off box in the back yard. He showed me the water flowing in the hole. Leak located, no jackhammer needed! I then called Lonestar back to have the repair covered under my AHS plan. They took another 4 days to come back out. When they did they told me it would be $950 to replace this faucet. $950! After wasting almost 3 weeks and another $200 to $300 literally down the drain because of Lonestar's incompetence they want to hit me for $950 to replace a faucet!
Don't trust these guys. Especially if you're going through AHS. Incompetent rip-off artists.
Don't use this place the plumber that came to my house is a liar. Of course they were sent by American Home Shield and they were ready to make a quick $100.00 for 5 mins. I was at work and my wife was at home. He would not give any information until he collected the money.
I Called the Plumber and he told me I have copper pipe and it is actually PEX. He told me that it would be fine and he would get it approved. He told me it should not be a problem he would be able to come out and replace it. He went into detail about how he was going to replace it. He told me he would call back the next day and never did. I called American home shield today and they told me they were informed the leak was due to freezing and therefore not covered. Beware of this place.

I recently experienced a water heater problem, called my insurance company and set me up with Lone Star Water.
Justin came to diagnose and adviced me of new heater required.
He, on the next day gave the good news ! my out of pocket would be 1,165.00 plus 125.00 deductible ....this was laughable !
I of course declined it...he called me back and offered to give me a deep discount per his manager orders....!
ridiculous isnt it ? i finally replaced it paying only 585.00 Labour included !
and because of this. i also cancelled my AHS..
so watch out at those numbers..high figures !

Lone Star Water Services is making true with their name - which is why they get 1 star. After delaying 3 weeks to fix a LEAK, I called another plumbing company who was good on their word. They overcharge, arrive late and leave early, claiming they don't have enough time to fix the whole issue right after they swipe your credit card $$$ and then say they'll be back in a week and NO-SHOW without communication. Please, do not waste your time, patience & money on this company.

Do Not Use This Company!!! This place is terrible. They were supposed to be at my home at 10 am and then they called stated between 12 and 2. I finally called at 3 and they stated it would be 2 or 3 more hours before they could get there or cone Satirday morning. They also said they were just coming by to look at the hot water heater and it would be next week before they would be able to fix it.. Thay is after waiting 2 days for them to come by in the 1st place.

We had Lone Star water service install a new water softener in Aug. We called the night it was installed because none of our faucets were working....and only 2 of the 4 toilets would flush, our brand-new dishwasher would not work. Master bath had tons of orange balls going from the faucet. We called and were told to RUN the HOT water full blast for 20 min. The guy that installed it came out several times and even said I am not getting paid at this point
The brand new water softener had been put in incorrectly causing the resin balls to get thru our whole system....I did not mention we bought a new water heater from them just because we were in a new home and the one was older.
We finally got Jeremy that came out.
1) they did NOT replace the softener (it was 2 days old)...they fixed it.
2) they did not replace the brand new water heater even though they knew the resin ball had obliviously contaminated the tank.
We were NOT happy but not much we could do. They got it working....
Fast forward a month....the water started to smell really bad and the water comes out black.....
They are telling us we need a new upstairs water heater....but it is the downstairs that smells so bad!!! Upstairs water is clean and order free.
they have NOT SHOWN UP FOR 3 WEEKS!!!!!!!!! THEY WILL NOT ANSWER OUR CALLS!!! THEY WERE SUPPOSED TO BE HERE NOV 7th....it is now the 9th.....NO ONE IS HERE. NO ONE IS ANSWERING.
We were told the girl that answers was out sick....not sure what we will be told now!!
Even our home warranty company LANDMARK can't get them on the phone!!
I AM SO UPSET! WE SPENT A LOT OF MONEY ON A NEW WATER SOFTNER...A NEW WATER HEATER BECAUSE WE TRUSTED THEM. REALLY THEY COULD HAVE JUST FIXED OUR OLD ONE!! HERE WE ARE WITH NO WATER IN HALF OUR HOUSE AND THEY ARE SAYING WE NEED NEW HEATER UPSTAIRS?? SO WE CAN HAVE NO WATER?????????????????
WE WILL REPORT TO BBB. THIS IS FRAUD!!!

I had an issue with my tankless water heater back in January. Lone Star was called out through American Home Shield. After two visits over two weeks they came to the conclusion that the unit needed to be replaced. Took about a month to replace the unit and when I would call to get an update Megan just gave me the run around. Other reviews were right, she will tell you what you want to hear just to get you off the phone. First she said she ordered a State water heater, then a week later she said it was supposed to be delivered to her house, then another week later she couldn't find it and then finally a week later she called and scheduled an appointment for installation. Day of installation we did not get the brand we were told, not that big of a deal, installation took less than 20 minutes even though we were told by Megan it would take 1 hour to 3 hours. I left work and on my way home when my son called and said they were done and they had left...talk about fast installation, just wish it was done right. They charged me $935 for work they did not do, no new pipes or hoses even though I was charged for that. When I asked Megan about the charges for work that was not done she pretended to care but just blew it off. It did take a few days to get an itemized invoice and I had to ask 3 different people before one was sent to me. Later that night went to take a shower and no hot water. Went into the garage where the unit is and my garage smelled of gas. Called the next morning and they came out that same day and realized that they did not fit the correct vent that vents outside of the house. They replaced that with a huge hideous monstrosity that just sticks out of the side of my house. AND the new installation did not pass city inspection but of course never heard from Lone Star regarding that. Now, beginning of August had issues with the water heater again. Called AHS and asked for someone other than Lone Star to be called out but unfortunately the manufacturer will only honor the warranty of the unit if the company who installed it works on it. Now another nightmare situation with Lone Star. Kevin came out on August 4th and Nick's been out 3 times and it is now September 11th and my water heater is still not working. Kevin was very nice and did his best to help on that first visit and Nick has been nothing but nice and I will request him every time. I just hope your experience with Lone Star is better than mine!
Untrustworthy had a water softner instaled from Sears and the charged me extra and then raised the price when they were complete. Run Fast!!

Unethical. Do Not Use. Sent out by AHS becasue my water heater went out and needed to be replaced. Was told that AHS would need to authorize the repair. After they took more than a week to send the info over to AHS they added more than $900 in supposed required code upgrades that were not covered. After calling another plumber determined that none of these upgrades were required due to the location of my water heater. I was able to get a new water heater installed for less than what they wanted to charge me just for the code upgrades.
Very Bad.
I've never been told Fuck you from a vendor trying to supply a service.

When I needed my water heater replaced I had did the research online and knew what the replacement process and code requirements whould be. These guys didn't do more than was required for a replacement. I was charged a very reasonable amount for the services. I will be going through them in the future for the big plumbing jobs that I can't handle.
