Signed up for their platinum service  plan or whatever it's called when they came to install a hot water heater. Every time they've been back the plan that covered everything when they sold it to me suddenly covers nothing and if I want to add to the plan for a few hundred more that will cover it. Fool me once, shame on you. You won't fool me twice.

Run, do not walk away from this company.

They only get one star because I couldn't give zero.

We were looking at record-breaking heat not long polite, ago and my air conditioner decided it was a good time to go out! Lightfoot was so fast and their people were so nice, any waypolite and a joy actually to be around. They were very respectful and went out of their way to help in . Youanyway they could. The job was done ASAP and I am very happy with the work and the new friends I made :) Thank you all so very much you are #1 in my books.

If you are looking for a company that is all about customers then you have found it here, I 100% would recommend them.

Since when do GOOD guys have to announce to and try to convince the world that they are good guys?
These guys are F#%!ing crooks.

Where do I start? $380 for a rubber flapper toilet seal thing. It took me 30 minutes, $19.99 at home depot, and a YouTube video.

They told me my entire HVAC system needed to be replaced ($4,000) when I called them out to blow out my secondary drain line and that it was frozen due to pet hair... WRONG. HOUK HVAC company came out advised me to remove the water that was standing under the unit and that it would unfreeze since the air was pulling moisture onto the cold coils and that was causing it to then freeze. I used my wet/dry vac, removed the water and the system has been running fine ever since. HOUK DIDN'T CHARGE ME A PENNY FOR THAT WHILE LIGHTFOOT CHARGED ME $300 to turn the system off, clean it, and just to have it freeze back up.

THEN we have the $850 garbage disposal... for a $88.10 Badger 5 from Home Depot. THEN he said he would do it for $450. 20 minutes later after sitting in his truck he knocks on my door again and says he'll do it for $250... really? A $600 swing on a $88 garbage disposal? So feel free to say NO! to their extreme prices and they'll come back with a price that is lower than their initial 300% mark-up.

We're the good guys? YEAH RIGHT! SINCE WHEN DOES A GOOD GUY HAVE TO SAY HE'S A GOOD GUY? When I called the office to talk to someone about my experience all the lady wanted to do was argue and then tell me about their different level of services and warranties on the $88 garbage disposal. NOTHING CAN EXPLAIN HOW YOU TELL A CUSTOMER $850 FOR A GARBAGE DISPOSAL JUST TO FINALLY COME DOWN TO $250... WHAT IF I HAD PAID THE $850? YOU GOOD GUYS WOULDN'T HAVE SENT ME A CHECK FOR $600!!! CROOKS AND DONT BE SCARED TO GET A SECOND OPINION BEFORE PAYING FOR THEIR SERVICES.

I HIGHLY RECOMMEND HOUK HVAC FOR YOUR HVAC NEEDS. They have never once screwed me over and give me upfront and honest advice even if that means they make no money.

Requested an inspection of the entire AC System for a home purchase.  The technician instead decided he only needed to look at the outside unit and suggest replacing a few parts although he indicated the unit was working properly.  I was not present, but wife indicated that the tech did not go into the attic to inspect the handler or coils, hence lack of a complete inspection is what we needed as the condition of the outside unit was horrible and assumed the rust in the pan indicated coils were in poor shape.  When my wife called Lightfoot to complain, she was treated rudely, and inappropriately by the staff Jessie.  We have a history with Gary Lightfoot, and based on that have made numerous recommendations to others to use his company.  Based on this latest episode and the rudeness, we will not use Lightfoot again or recommend their services.

Long story short! They way overcharged for a compressor relay at $337! They were $1500 higher than the other two bids I got to replace complete system. Their price was the same, cash or credit. I paid cash and saved myself a few bucks. Very disappointed with these guys! Thought that being new to the area I would try to build a relationship with them so I could depend on them for other work. Not now!

My mom (85 years young) needed a ceiling fan installed (she had already purchased the fan). Serviceman was very nice but charged her $500 + to install the ceiling fan. The company has continuously refused to provide any kind of itemized bill or invoice for work.

They have overcharged for service for my elderly parents for a while and until now I had no idea. My mother signed a service contract and they charged her $90 over the agreed price, now my mother is alone and in a wheelchair and they said she needed a new furnace and could cause a catastrophic event. Not true, got someone else out there and it was serviced with no problem .

Lightfoot has left my elderly mom stranded without hot water off and on for *days*.  It's a different story every visit....the latest problem is that a previous Lightfoot employee installed the wrong regulator for a propane Rinnai system. Their after hours emergency number is useless.  No one can come out and a manager will not return our call.  All of this for a Platinum member that has spent tens of thousands of dollars with Lightfoot.  This is bottom of the barrel customer service.

I have severe COPD and right leg issue. Had done business with them before, on some plumbing, was good.
My HVAC went out, and I checked the found the condenser motor failed. Told the technician that I wanted the motor replaced. Went out to the unit with him and showed him the issue. Gave me a quote of $1069.00, I was needing it done due to extremely hot, my breathing was suffering bad. He said you can't get the motor on line and he has one on the truck. You can get the Mars 10874 on line and elsewhere. The motor normally goes 200 to 250. Takes about 1.5 hours to do. My health would not allow me to do the repair.
I knew what it needed, told him all I wanted. Went ahead had it done.
This repair should in no way cost over 1,000.00.

Lightfoot Mechanical is terrible company all the way up to the top. They'll block your number if you call and complain.  Overpriced and under delivered.  Charged annual service agreement and just take your money and will not service if they've blocked your number or refund.

My whole house water heater went out on Saturday. I looked up a certified Rinnai service tech and Lightfoot came up so I called and asked if they could send someone out but only if they had normal failure parts on hand. I was told they do have parts on the trucks. Emergency Saturday,Sunday after hours calls are $249 trip charge. This does not get applied to your repair. Regular hours trip charge is $89. I told them to send someone Monday. The tech was great but, the diagnosis was going to be $300, and parts and repair would be a flat $749. It turned out to be a $16 water flow sensor that fits several models. He didn't have it on hand and had to order it. So, to order it and come back it would cost me $89 for trip charge, $300 to diagnose (which consists of calling the help line of the manufacturer and going through a flow chart) and then $749 to come back and fix it. They should never have told me they had parts to fix it on the truck, and then say well we have some parts  it's the call centers fault. I paid the $300 diagnostic fee, and the $89 trip charge (good thing I didn't have them come on the weekend for $249 trip charge) and said thanks. I learned a lot from this, and lost a days work, and several hundred dollars. I ordered the sensor online for $16 and had it shipped next day air for $30. Seems very excessive to charge those rates, there was no way around the $749 for a sixteen dollar part. By the way a new unit is $1,300 not including install. I understand business have to charge and be competitive but as a business owner myself I'm having a hard time understanding how they justify this.
I must say the tech was very nice.

This message was posted to Lightfoot Mechanical's website the Monday or Tuesday following repair work.  I expected at least a courtesy call explaining their outrageous billing.  Never heard a word.

On Friday, June 25th, your company repaired two indoor bathroom faucets that were leaking and one outdoor Hose Bib 4-8 at my dad's home in Mansfield, TX. The invoice # is 77769640.
I live next door to my dad who is 90 years old.
When your service truck arrived, I was mowing my yard. After about twenty minutes I stopped mowing, and walked over to check out what was going on. My dad told me that he was having some leaky faucets repaired. He's getting his house ready to sell and wants everything in working order. My dad had already signed and agreed to the estimate for the work.
Shortly after that, your service guys left to go get a part. When they returned, they completed the work and presented the invoice for payment. The bill was $1,230.04. My dad wrote a check for the amount....he wasn't happy with the cost, but needed the faucets working before he could sell the house and didn't want to delay the repair.  I was aghast! The whole job including time to go get a part was just a couple of hours....maybe a little more.
I asked the service tech presenting the bill to explain why it was so much. He said, he puts a description of the work in his tablet and the cost for each job is already established. Each leaky faucet was over $300 and the outside faucet was over $400. I told him that was just wrong.  I was courteous but firm. The job was done, the bill paid.....so I signed the electronic acknowledgment/receipt for my dad.  We had a short gentlemanly conversation about the exorbitant (in my view) cost.
I told the service tech I would be complaining to the company about the cost....so here I am.
In all fairness, I will say that your employees were courteous and professional. The work appeared very satisfactory.
But $1,200.04 for two leaky indoor faucets and one leaky outdoor faucet. Are you serious!! That used to be called highway robbery.
One other thing, in the Description of Work on the Invoice it says Diagnose manablock and label each line in bedroom closet.  However, that was not done because the service tech told my dad the valves were all stuck and did not want to take a chance on breaking one....therefore, they were unable to turn the different lines on and off in order to label them. The service tech did tell my dad that they would throw that work in with the price.  Since it wasn't able to be done, should've been removed from the description. FYI....fairly new home, approximately 8 yrs old.
I wasn't the customer, but I assure you that my experience with your billing left a very bad impression on both my dad and me.
Also, you call yourselves the Good Guys. That's probably a good description of your job performance but certainly doesn't apply to your billing practices.

I scheduled an appointment with Lightfoot Mechanical to come out and give me an estimate installing replacement hardwired smoke alarms.  The appointment window they gave me was today, 9/18/2019 from 12 noon until 5 pm.  It is now 6:04 and they have not shown up.  I place 2 calls before 5:30 and the office said the technician was on his way and would call me. The technician just called at 6:05 pm after I have waited more than 6 hours and asked if he could reschedule for tomorrow.    This is definitely not good business practice and very poor customer service.
I plan to also notify my everyone on my neighborhood group so they do not waste their time with this company.

Following moving into a new house I called Lightfoot Mechanical out for an initial inspection. Their tech was new to them and did not carry all the inspection items on his check list even though I later found he had ticked all boxes. They quoted $2,500 to replace a gas water heater for a system I could buy with same warranty and manufacturer for $400. When I queried the cost with their head office, I got a very rude response.

Steer clear of these people.  They are very questionable.

Men that came out were very nice, so they earned the 2 stars or there would be zero.  Company with good reputation just bought out by Lightfoot Mechanical. Service charge was high and estimate on repair was ridiculously expensive!  Service charge was over $200 higher than another company for same service performed.  Bid for broken pipe under slab was approx. $22,500!!!  Yes, you read that correctly!  Was repaired by another company for less than $7000, which is about a third of the estimated repair cost from Lightfoot.  Not sure if they thought a woman wouldn't know better or what, but what a disgrace!

I have to question whether some of these reviews are real, because I've utilized Lightfoot Mechanical at every level and every experience has been wonderful. We all get mad when we are told we have to shell out $2000+ for a new water heater, $4000 for a new HVAC or even $500 for plumbing, but you get what you pay for. If your goal is to get the job done cheaply, then call Igor over in the trailer park to make the repairs. If you want quality repair or installation, then  pay to have it done properly with a company that stands behind their work.

I had been shopping around for a company to install a tankless water heater. After having 2 others come out and complete an estimate, I then had lightfoot come out. At first, their estimate was slightly higher than the others, but they advised this was a quote and not an estimate. Additionally, they walked me through several concerns that the other companies had not addressed: installing a circulation device to keep warm water going throughout the house, hiring an electrician to install an outlet, a roofer to confirm the exhaust hole was sealed shut, and they explained the annual maintenance required. I was impressed with the amount of information they shared, making sure I understood the process.

Robert M and Jeremiah J were both professional, courteous, and on time. I'm pleased with the service they provided and would highly recommend this company. I'm in Arlington and though they are based in Weatherford, they service this area too.

Stay away!  Called these guys out on a recommendation from a family member.  Wanted to get a quote on installing a water softener I had already bought from Lowes.  The guy that came out was pretty much only interested in selling me an $8000 system of their own but did give me an estimate of $2900 to install the one I had.  I had 3-4 other plumbers quote the same thing for $300-$400 (it's about a 2-3 hour job).  Seems like this company definitely tries to screw you if you let them.  I would definitely get second opinions before you hire them.

Their service is exceptional; knowledgeable and professional technicians get the job done right. My complaint is that they use fixed job pricing, not hourly, and are VERY expensive, more than double what other reputable companies charge.  The service is great and the job will get done, but at a very high price.

We woke to a water leak within the wall of our bathroom. I called Lightfoot Mechanical and was welcomed in the most prompt and professional manner. We are very pleased with the quality of service received and highly recommend Lightfoot should you need a very reliable service.

I wish I could evaluate the work they were supposed to do, but one week, the guy was sick and rescheduled. The next week, scheduled at 10 and 20 minutes later, no call, no service person, although it showed a text that he was on his way in more than enough time to be on time. A phone call/ text would be nice since we had waited for our specific appointment. Maybe they have all the business they need...

I used Lightfoot for a new AC unit a few years ago and have continued to use them for maintenance.  I recently got some plumbing estimates from them and the cost is outrageous!  They have also started to recommend upgrades to my AC that is only a few years old, upgrades that I believe are unnecessary and believe they are now just upselling to make money every time they come do maintenance.  I'll be looking for a new company to use for AC maintenance to avoid all their sales pitches.  I don't recommend them anymore.

The plumber that was dispatched was very nice personally, but the $40 service fee just to tell me that the repair was going to cost me $1700 was VERY high for reconnecting a rubber hose.  I know who i won't ever call again for simple plumbing repairs.

I called Atlas Plumbing and found they had been bought out by Lightfoot. Okay, I need someone to fix a leaky bathtub faucet. Timing was quick, plumbers were nice and used shoe covers before entering house. My first complaint is the OUTRAGEOUSLY HIGH PRICE. The charge for what was essentially a thirty minute repair was $342. I was given the price up front and told that of that charge $17 was for parts. Now, second complaint: the lever faucet was installed so it turned the wrong way and I had to get them to return. Third complaint: the week after the work I got an expensive high gloss advertisement from them offering a $50 discount on repairs. Wish I'd had that when they came. I WILL NOT use these people again.

I was very pleased with the service I received.  I called in the afternoon to request a repair for an outdoor water leak.  The receptionist told me someone would call to schedule with me shortly.  I received a call within an hour and scheduled for the next morning.  The tech called to tell me he was on the way and then arrived on time.  He looked at the problem, gave me a quote and completed the work promptly.  They are a bit pricey, but the service was exceptional and I'd rather pay a little more and have it done right the first time.  I will definately use them again.

Sam came out... He took forever. Diagnosed that we needed to change the air filter. Air filter was changed within the past 3 weeks, genius. Air filter was dirty due to underlying compressor issue. Compressor needed to be replaced. Diagnosed and replaced by a REAL company same day. This is a SCAM company. Sam is a total moron. UNQUALIFIED. Grateful for their trip charge coupon. Paid them NOTHING--that's exactly what their service was worth.

I cannot believe this company has any calls whatsoever.  In fact, I would love to give no stars, but I guess everyone gets a participation award, so here's there thank you for being a total disaster award.  First, we had Casey come out to try to fix the bathtub faucet, only to find he was too inept to do this. So he left after after telling us to order a faucet on amazon because his company charges too much -  wow, let's go ahead and tell us they overcharge the public.  So that's day one taken off of work.  We got said faucet from amazon and scheduled for the following Friday with a window of 1-4 pm.  Guess what?  They never called.  Finally we called them and was told it would be a while they were working on an emergency repair.  Then around 7:30 were told they weren't coming- day two taken off work.  Rick came on Saturday.  You would have thought this was his first time to put in a faucet -- slow as a snail in on mood depressants.  Finally he charged us and left, saying he would be in contact because he doesn't keep a basic plumbing substance called sealer in his van.  He also could not get his legos right and was going to bring a gold piece to make the faucet correct.  Hum...  here I sit one week to the day later unable to look at my ugly unsealed incomplete faucet.  Not an enjoyable bath for me.

This is something I seldom do...Post a review. I would have liked this to have been one of praise but I totally disagree with their slogan of  ''We're the Good Guys'' given this situation:

My mother-in-law had a clogged drain on her patio in W. Ft Worth. She had not called anyone because of the cost to repair. I received a coupon in the mail from Lightfoot that says $93.00 ANY DRAIN CLEARED OR IT'S FREE. This same coupon still appears on their website. I called to make the appointment and explained where the drain was and made certain the coupon would be honored.     Long story short. August 12th - Paul was the plumber

1) The coupon was not honored
2) The drain was not cleared
3) She paid them $495.00 and has nothing to show for it
4) They offered her a solution of repair for $4,800 (she was born at night, but not last night)
5) Have not or will not contact her. (She has called them without success)

This, to me, is a classic textbook example of Bait and Switch You promise one thing then totally backtrack on a promise and charge a lot more. If you aren't going to honor your commitment, then  stop saying that you will. This is a very poor way of running a business.

I believe if they want to do the right thing they will refund her $495.00 since she has nothing to show for it. My good deed of trying to help someone I love has backfired and made me look like a fool in the process. Either make good on your promise by clearing the drain for $93.00 or refund her money. If the situation is not made right by Lightfoot, Angies List and the BBB are next on the list to contact.

I was shocked that there were negative reviews here. This company saved the sale of my home and were super professional and courteous at every interaction. So far, so good but will keep this updated as we go. Called 12/18 (The coldest night in history I think!) our heater went out. Svc call quoted at $149.00 and we mentioned a 50 coupon we saw on line was initially told they would honor the coupon just by mentioning it. I had to leave before service call was finished and my husband paid them.. he paid them $149.00 but I called them today 12/19 and discussed the 50.00 coupon with the service manager. She was very polite and helpful and told me she would apply the 50.00 dollars to the pending work that we have to have done. The service tech got us up and running with emergency heat so ... so far so good - pleasant experience.

Use to use Lightfoot all the time. Even bought an AC unit from them couple yrs ago but will not use them again.  They charged me $460 to install a ceiling fan and small chandelier that were already wired from ceiling and switched were already installed.  First the tech, who was nice and professional offered a price of $600 which I about passed out over then he offered me lower price which was still crazy.  I even used a coupon.  They called me to ask why I was upset and lady said that they are a growing company with lots of overhead.  They are sending me a partial refund but its so disappointing to see a great local company get to big for their pants.

Horrible Customer Service.  They use to provide great service over the many years I have used them on my past three homes in Parker county.  However, if you schedule anything with them remember there is a pecking order on who they will do business with first.   Apparently, if you know the right folks you can have other customer's scheduled maintenance work cancelled in order to fulfill their last minute request.  I had this happen to me after taking off work to meet them at the house on something scheduled 5 days in advance.  Simply called at the last minute and said they could do it next week possibly.  It must be nice to pick and choose which customers you want to do business with, but my money will be going somewhere else from now on.

My parents AC stopped working while they were gone.  I hired Lightfoot to take a look.  The AC was recharged, but there was a discrepancy in the billing.  Cissie was amazing to work with and resolved the matter so quickly and kindly.  Cissie was such a class act through the entire process.  I rate Lightfoot not on the dispute but how wonderfully it was handled.  I will recommend and call them for all my HVAC needs

I called them at 10:40 am for a plumber, they said someone would be here between 12-5. My tech arrived at 4 and said I needed a AC tech. He said he would call and another tech would be dispatched to my home today. I called them back at 8:20 to confirm they were still coming out. They saw it in the system but no one was ever dispatched. They told me someone would be out between 9-10. They called me back at 8:50 to let me know I would be charged $250.00 after hours fee for their mistake.

Any plumber in Weatherford is better than these guys. Stay away. Yes they are a big company and might get to your house sooner but you will regret it.

After David from Lightfoot left, we discovered that our thermostat was no longer working to control our HVAC system. This was not the repair we called them to repair. I called the next morning and Lightfoot sent out another technician who showed up hours earlier than our appointment. He looked at the problem, but left our house without fixing the mess that the first technician left. He could not figure out what caused the problem. We have requested a refund of our money in order to pay another company to repair the mess they made. The technicians were seriously lacking in knowledge, Jack was disrespectful and argumentative, and both technicians pushed for us to buy high-dollar repairs, one in the $5,000-$10,000 range.

Shawn M. showed up on time on a Saturday.  He identified the issues and offered bid.  He was very professional and completed the repair quickly and got our air conditioner going again.  The only problem I had was with the price of the work.  Lightfoot thinks their parts are made of gold and their service costs are high too.

Lightfoot installed a manual transfer switch for a backup generator on our main power panel. The installation was quick and clean - the technician did a great job! In general, we've been happy with the quality of the electrical work from Lightfoot and their customer service (between 2 different electrical projects). The reason for 4 stars (and not 5) is the cost. So far, Lightfoot has honored their estimates each time but I'm always shocked by the numbers... maybe I'm just not up to speed with the current service market, but they're expensive!

On time yes, curtesy yes, hired to diagnose and repair a bad sewer smell in the house.  They sent a younger less experienced kid I guess... solved NOTHING gone in 45m or less... sewage smell remains and another plumber diagnosed and identified problem in less than 30 minutes.  In short, wasted my time and charged me for a service call.

Lightfoot Mechanical was responsive, prompt, and communicated extremely well.  The technician, Mark, was on time, professional, and knowledgeable.  The estimate was complete and reasonable.  We will be using Lightfooot for our plumbing service.

I don't remember what I called them out for last year and I guess I was pleased but the service yesterday was a nightmare.....the idiots in Dispatch got the times all wrong and didn't bother to let me know so while I was thinking the repairman would be there between 8 and 9 he actually showed up a noon....whole morning wasted. And to charge $368 to install a kitchen sink faucet??? and I had already purchased the one I wanted and had it there at the house? That is outrageous and totally overpriced. I know all plumbing companies over charge, but they took it to the extreme!

Was quoted $5800 for plumbing work from Lightfoot that I now paid $180 to have completed by another certified plumber in Weatherford. The Lightfoot rep said it would take lots of time and labor - like a week to complete.  Other plumber that I just hired did it ALL today while I waited.  1.5 hours to complete. Lightfoot are total crooks! Have heard this from people who have actually worked for them in the past. Price gouge!  DO NOT USE THESE GUYS!.

Atlas plumbing which I was a long time customer was taken over by this company . I had two leaks and  they took care of the refrigerator water line leak promptly and Foro did an excellent job of explaining and fixing the issue. His helper prevented him framing m fixing the sink stopper and advised me to contact Moen for replacement part on the sink stopper leak which has to wait until the right part is received.   the refrigerator water valve was not replaced based on his expert opinion that is still good and only time would tell. overall I'm happy and satisfied with the repair done today.

The plumbers carefully fixed the problems the previous plumber left for us and made sure we would not have the problems again. I was kept in the loop the entire time. They were both friendly and professional- from putting on shoe coverings when they entered to vacuuming at the end- and departed with everything (other than the plumbing problem) as they found it.

I, like another reviewer, also had a plumbing emergency arise. Toilets wouldn't flush/drain and the bathtubs and showers weren't draining. I rented an auger at Home Depot to try and clear the clog myself, but after a couple hours of unknowingly snaking the wrong clean-out pipe, I called it quits. Now, I did try and use several other plumbing service companies in the area but they were all booked up until the next day and that wasn't an option. Called Lightfoot, they had a plumber available around noon. They showed up promptly, and quickly identified the correct clean-out pipe that would access the clog. If I had that information beforehand, this fix would've cost me the $45 to rent the auger myself. The plumber then approached me with body language that said he really didn't want to have to tell me the price of what this service was going to cost. He didn't tell me; he showed me the total on a company iPad. $430. To clear the line. Apparently my body language was telling as well, because all of a sudden he has a $50 coupon he can add. So $380 to snake a line, which he finished in about 15 minutes.

The work was performed well and professionally and all plumbing in the house is back to 100%, hence the 3 stars. But I can't help but feel like I was taken advantage of for a situation that they knew was dire for my family and I. I called and spoke with two other plumbers I know through work that aren't local and explained the work performed, both of them told me that anything over $200 would have been pretty ridiculous. If you're stuck and absolutely have to use Lightfoot, politely ask for a quote before scheduling any service calls.

They gave us a sales pitch that took longer than the repair!  They did show up on time.

This one of the most unethical companies I have ever come across.  They wanted $350 for an AC capacitor.  I bought the part online for $15 and with no AC experience installed it in 10 minutes.  A good friend of mine was a tech there and quit over their shady practices:  he was required to sell $7,200 in equipment WEEKLY and told to use the line, Do you want a Bandaid solution or a long-term?  Lightfoot is particularly hard on the elderly for whom heat or AC can be life-and-death; doesn't matter ... just a better opportunity to sell them what they don't need.  They are not an asset to our community.

After contacting Rinnai to report that my tankless propane hot water heater was not working, and was dripping water from the heat exchanger they gave me the contact info for Lightfoot mechanical. I called and spoke to Mitzy this morning (She was very nice and helpful) and she set up an appointment for this afternoon with a tech. She told me the price for the visit and diagnostic was $40 and I agreed to pay with a credit card. When the plumber called late this afternoon he told me the cost was now $40 for the trip to my house and @$180.00 for a diagnostic fee, which was literally looking at the unit and verifying that it is leaking water, indicating the heat exchanger is bad. Rinnai already verified the heat exchanger was under warranty still, but that the labor was not covered. I'm all good with that, but the increase in cost,  the excessive price of $180.00 was simply unrealistic. THEN the plumber (Robert, who was polite enough) called me back and said he had spoken with his supervisor and he told me that he would have to order the heat exchanger and when it came in he would need to come back out to install it and that it would take all day and the cost would be $2000.00.  I am sure there would be an additional fee for travel. Now we are at $2,220.00+ total. I cancelled the plumbers appointment because I felt there was something wrong, and I was right. I called Rinnai again and they were stunned, I mean STUNNED, at the cost I was quoted and promised to have the local Rinnai Rep. contact Lightfoot Mechanical to sort this out. Keep in mind, a complete brand new Unit costs $1371 from Amazon, including shipping.  I'm writing this review for anyone who might be looking for honest recommendations, I'm here to tell anyone interested to be careful of this business.  By The Way, Rinnai voluntarily offered to send a new replacement heat exchanger to my local plumber tonight (with only my assurance of the problem) to be delivered FedEx tomorrow to my local town plumber.  I normally do not post anything unless there is an outrageous problem, and this encounter definitely counts as that.

We had an emergency plumbing problem.  They responded the same day and remedied our issue.  However, the cost of their work was VERY high.  We were stuck between a rock and a hard spot.  Additionally, the plumber mistakenly turned off electrical breaker to an A/C unit instead of a gas water heater that he did work on and then failed to turn A/C breaker back on.  So, not only a plumbing problem & overcharging, but now our A/C stopped working??!!

We will never use them again.
