Legacy Plumbing

If you're lucky to live long enough, and you live in the same home for several years, you'll encounter lots of problems with fixtures that you might take for granted.

Generally, I'm a do-it-yourselfer and don't rely on someone else to repair stuff unless it's major, like jacking the foundation.

I've replaced the water shutoff valve to my house twice.  Not the one at the water meter (which belongs to the city), but the one in the ground just outside our front door.  And, yes, they do wear out.  Deposits build up on the inside and rust takes it's toll on parts on the outside.

One of the fittings started leaking just a little, possibly due to the Texas snowmageddon a few months ago.  Doesn't take long for a drip to turn into a trickle, so the time came for a fix.  Digging in our sticky clay soil is a real chore and I've reached that point where I'll let someone else take over this task.  

After plenty of research, we decided that Legacy Plumbing was our best choice for the job.

Alex and Tyler showed up on time and ready to get their hands dirty.  After confirming the quote that we were given over the phone, they were obviously ready to get started.  We were impressed at how friendly and thoughtful they were, explaining what they planned to do and answering our questions.  Then, they dug up and replaced the valve and back filled it in about an hour.  They left the area so clean that you wouldn't know that they've been here.

I've got a good friend who's a plumber and he isn't as nice to me as Alex and Tyler!

I mentioned that rust causes valve failures.  My new one is a 1 stainless ball valve.  Even the handle is stainless, so no rust problem.

Bottom line: the bill was very reasonable, the work was professional and we're very satisfied.

We have a 1 year old home in Aubrey, just off the FM 1385. I contacted Legacy after calling 3 other services who refused to come out this far. We were out of Legacy's normal area too, but they said they'd do it. We needed a 1 year service on a tankless hot water system. Johnny was great, on time, looked professional, explained everything he was doing and what we should look for in the future. He was extremely cordial and polite, very thorough.

Johnny was very neat and clean while installing my new disposal.  Tested it several times to make sure there were no leaks.  Gave me great advice regarding what I can and can't put into it.  Even offered to put back all my cleaning products!  I will be using Legacy again.

Wrote my first review of this company back in '20 and have to say that they continue to exceed expectations. From Meagan and her teammates in the office to Rockstar Plumber Jeremy you truly cannot go better with your plumbing needs. For us it was a two day trip as we wanted Jeremy & Manny to evaluate two older toilets, change a shower filter, and snake a bathroom drain. Making the decision to replace both toilets, Jeremy (working alone) returned a few days later to remove the old toilets and replace them with two new ones we chose to purchase directly from Legacy.
So very pleased with Legacy, Meagan & team, Manny, and our Rockstar Plumber, Jeremy.  Thank you all...call Legacy for your plumbing work.

Brandon and Tyler came out promptly when I called this morning when I had a minor emergency. water leaking from a fridge valve. These guys were super helpful, fixed everything quickly, cleaned up nice, and even gave me a few plumbing tips while they were at it.

We would highly recommend this company. We needed our water heater tanks replaced and Logan and Brandon did an amazing job. They explained everything very clearly and went above and beyond with their service.

Andre was amazing, he went above and beyond the call of duty. He replaced our garbage disposal, cleaned and replaced the pipes, and also took a moment to inspect the other plumbing around the house at no extra charge! Add us to the list of very impressed customers. This operation is top notch. We called based on Yelp reviews and received a very thorough quote over the phone in about three minutes to have two water heaters replaced.
When the service technicians arrived, they were on time, extremely professional, very competent and took the time to explain in great detail everything they had done and how to best maintain our new heaters.
We don't have to hire plumbers often but if there is ever a next time, we will only call Legacy Plumbing.

Matthew and Joey came and serviced our home and did a great job. They were here to check the toilets to make sure they were working properly and were kind enough to do just a routine check of our hot water heaters and noticed that one of our pilot lights was out and not working. I highly recommend them. Great service and extremely professional.

I had a massive leak- standing water in my yard. I called Legacy and they were able to schedule me for the same day! Johnny actually arrived early. My problem/leak was more complicated than we originally thought, but they were up-front with pricing and options and kept me up to date on all the developments. I really appreciated the transparency. Since the job was bigger than we thought- leak was in the foundation instead of at the faucet- Legacy sent Brandon to help Johnny. They were both so friendly and professional. They fixed the leak, ran through lots of testing to make sure it was fixed, then cleaned up the whole area even better than how it was when they arrived! Will definitely be calling them again AND happily recommend them to friends!

Reached out to Legacy Plumbing again to replace some older fixtures around the house. And will continue to use them for their quick response to inquiries, punctuality and professionalism. Will and Joey did some work for us recently and the service was was excellent. Both are professional and knowledgeable. Recommend and will use them again.

Mike and Adam came to give us a second opinion on the broken sewage pipe we had. At $5700 we figured a second opinion was worth it. They found that our pipe was NOT BROKEN- it was a calcium build up! They saved us more tan $6000!

Jeremy is a very professional and hard working tech. He communicated very well throughout the entire process and actually got the job done faster than initially quoted, which was awesome!

Very knowledgeable. Kelly came out & explained our problem & how he would repair it. They checked everything when finished. Have put up with substandard work from other companies so long that we had forgotten what good tradesmen were like. It was refreshing. They are definitely our go to plumbing company now.

Ahndre, Luis and Travis came out to my house in less then one hour notice to replace my gas water heater and also fixed the pressure reducing valve (PRV) as well as the expansion tank.  Super impressed with their responsiveness, professionalism and thorough knowledge and quality of work!  Will use them again.  Thanks again for the hard work guys!

Had a great experience with a team from Legacy Plumbing today. Both Johnny and Aarin were knowledgeable, friendly, and timely.  Together they quickly assessed our issue and found the source of our problem.  This team was professional and I wouldn't hesitate in calling them again for any other plumbing issues.  5 stars for sure!

Jeremy did an excellent job repairing pipe leaks under the front yard that was flooding the lawn. Not only did he showed up on time, he's extremely polite as well as professional, courteous, and was quick to assess the problem; and the quote was given ahead of time, so there were no surprises. The cleanup after the repair was done was definitely a plus!

Easily 5 stars.  I would have given them more if I could.  Had a water pipe in the slab rear its ugly head the Wednesday of the blizzard.  Unfortunately I couldn't get an appointment for 2 weeks (not Legacy's fault) and other slab leak companies were even longer.  Wayne and Gerald got here first thing this morning, and spent an hour understanding the plumbing for my entire house.  After performing some tests and confirming some theories, they were able to locate the leak in about a 12' section of pipe.  Now, the fun began.

Wayne and Gerald suggested several different options:  Tunneling under the slab, re-routing through the ceiling, or installing a smaller pipe within the existing pipe.  We chose to install a smaller pipe within the existing pipe, and they got to work and knocked it out.  At the end, our water supply is as good as before, we have no leak, and we only had to have Legacy cut 2 access holes in our drywall.  We were expecting concrete dust and piles of dirt, and because of the thorough analysis and diagnosis of the problem, Wayne and Gerald got us running in under 6 hours.  I can't say enough how professional, concerned and focused the team was, and we are thankful for the great work that they did.  They also identified some other issues affecting water pressure and our hot water heaters, and we're having another Legacy Plumbing team come out and resolve those problems in a couple of weeks.  THANKS!

An exceptional experience with Ahndre and Phillips. They came out on a time, diagnosed and gave me a clear run through of my slab leak cause and potential fixes. I appreciate all the work and attention to detail that they put in. Thank you for putting me at ease during a stressful time

We had a gas leak that needed to be repaired - Sean was great, explained everything he was going to do, what to expect, etc and the estimate turned out to be very accurate and less than I thought it would be. Wonderful communication through and he thoroughly explained what work had been done and what the next steps would be for city inspection.  All in all this was a much easier process than I had feared it would be, thanks to Legacy (and Sean!)

This was our first experience with Legacy Plumbing, but it won't be our last.  We were so impressed!  Ahndre was professional, prompt, friendly, knowledgeable, efficient, and informative.  He repaired our broken shower valve perfectly.  Thank you Legacy Plumbing, and especially Ahndre.  Our son is enjoying hot water in his shower once again, and we are so thankful!

Legacy Plumbing was quick to respond to the Web request I put in and quick to get out to help fix my leaking garbage disposal. Kelly and Hubert were great and fixed the leak quick and even installed the soap dispenser that I had laying around. They went above and behind and I highly recommend!

THE BEST PLUMBERS IN THE KNOWN UNIVERSE.  I called with a problem that seemed difficult for other companies, impossible for some, and the great company known as Legacy Plumbing sent out not only great plumbers but also great men, Kelly and Henry.  These guys were incredible.  Not only does Kelly take you under his wing and give you the best advice learned in his 30+ year career, he also answered painlessly my millions of questions (yep, I'm that guy, the annoying DIY'er who asks how everything works and how to do everything).  They didn't just tolerate me and my questions but welcomed me like family.  Honestly, it was such a pleasure hanging out with them that I can't even imagine what off the clock is like.  They made work - hard and incredibly tough work - fun and enjoyable (or at least for me the bystander!  Haha.)  If you're thinking about booking these guys (and of course you are if you're reading this), just do it.  If you don't understand something?  Just ask.  They are passionate about what they do and care a great deal about both YOU as a person and show it through caring for YOUR PLUMBING.  There's nobody better than Kelly, and Henry is well on his way as his apprentice.  I can't say enough good things about these guys, they were simply incredible, thoughtful, hardworking, and fun, (even hilarious at times), which made something that was super difficult look fun and easy.  One way or another, these guys will solve your problems or die trying.  The bigger and harder the problem the more interesting it is and more of a fun challenge for these guys to solve.  You want guys like these in your corner when you have issues, that's for sure!

Backstory:  My gas riser pipe for my spa heater rusted out and developed a leak about 7 years ago.  I had difficulty finding a repair back then (just like now), so I gave up.  I turned the gas off running to it (fortunately I had a valve for it) and dug down to uncover the part that needed to be replaced and discovered it was a polyethylene line (mine is orange, they changed to yellow in the 80's, but, just like Kelly said, it's basically the same pipe designed to the same specifications).  I called several companies which gave mixed responses, but when I called Legacy Plumbing they found a master plumber familiar with gas to discuss it with me further and he immediately understood, and then he sent an experienced veteran like Kelly out who knew exactly what was going on.  For these guys it really was no big deal, and within minutes of Kelly being onsite for the estimate he was able to piece together a plan to repair using the existing pipe.  This was the solution I preferred anyway, and it worked out as well as it could.  His care of people and his years of experience really shine, as he gives you options and listens to your thoughts instead of taking a one size fits all approach - he truly is an artist working the many variables of the problem to find and recommend the best solutions for your specific issues.

The bottom line is that I trust Legacy Plumbing as a company and if it were an option (I know it isn't :)) I would give Kelly and Henry the keys to the house and turn them loose while at work, that's how much I trust them.  Let's be honest though, I could never do that because I'm way too nosy and like to learn too much, and these guys are simply too enjoyable to miss hanging out with.  Call Legacy Plumbing and call them now and ask for Kelly and Henry - above and beyond doesn't begin to describe it.

good:  They got me in fast
           They showed up within an hour of the appointment
           The problem is not as bad as it was.......
Bad:    They charged me more than double the going rate for what they did
           They had to come out a second time to get it fixed - the second guy ran the water for 10 minutes twice - with a 4 minute break in the middle.  He called that running for 20 minutes.  It is at 10 minutes when the shower starts backing up again - not as bad as before, but for double the cost, I would expect it to be FIXED.  The second guy didn't really want to do what was needed work wise.  He was polite.  
           They start out with what they could break, and suggest you wouldn't have any problems if you replace your cast iron piping to the tune of about $75,000..........they said they wouldn't want to do the work that would be needed to do it best, they would probably do an easier for them job which wouldn't be quite as good.

Worst:  They said they never warranty their work.  
The shower was stopped up, now it just backs up........I would not call this fixed.  
I have to say that I don't trust the guys that came out.  

Would I use them again?  No.  Not ever.

A month ago they came out to repair a slab leak and goodness, they were quick at diagnosing the problem and worked hard to get it done and get it done well.
Also, if you're wavering... become a Gold Plan member... just do it. I promise it's worth it! They just came out for my free annual inspection of all things plumbing, and were a great help!

Canon and team did a great job for us.  Fixed a few minor issues as a courtesy.  When it came to larger issues, they kept me informed and kept the costs low.  I've had other companies try to up-sell the service.  Legacy doesn't do this.  They only fix what is necessary and don't recommend massive and costly improvements.  I highly recommend Legacy and will use them again for all my family's plumbing needs.

Legacy did an OUTSTANDING job and I would recommend them to anyone.  The office personnel (Clifton and Thomas) that I talked to were courteous and helpful.  They arranged for my job to be completed sooner than expected by contacting me when they had a cancellation.  Luke was the plumber who completed the work.  He was prompt, professional, extremely knowledgeable, and paid great attention to detail.  He made sure I was satisfied with the completed work and did a thorough cleanup.  I will be contacting Legacy for any future plumbing needs and will be specifically requesting Luke!

This business is great.  Used them to fix an outside leaking faucet that would leak inside the wall, they removed the broken pipe and fixed it with a new pipe in just minutes.  The new fitting is awesome!  Price is good and they are professional, they show up on time, ask questions and explain what they did.  Number one choice for me.  Used them a few years back and remembered how good they were, they are still that good.  Highly recommended!

We had a home gas leak and the city had to shut our gas off. Legacy Plumbing came out ASAP found and fixed our issue which required some demo work to get to the problem. A shout out to Ahndre.
