NEVER HEARD BACK FROM THIS COMPANY. Said they would call me back after they did receive my email and emailed me back. Never heard from them again.

Today will be the third day out of the past 4 days that I've had a tech to come out and work on my HVAC. Hopefully today will be the last day. I feel like every day it's a new issue and nobody can seem to be on the same page between the two techs from Barrett and my maintenance company. The tech isn't rude, nasty, or mean, but his customer service personality could definitely use some work. The first tech who came out was very friendly.

1. person that came to give initial consultation gave wrong diagnosis
2. Warner who was in charge of order in the pert for our heater said the part would be here Monday.   Monday after receiving no phone call from the company, we called and Warner said our part wouldn't be in until Thursday,  but that we shouldn't worry because it doesn't get cold in El Paso.  each night was freezing.
3. they sent over a tech to install the piece and he didn't know how.  he kept having to phone in for directions.
4.  we asked the tech to leave and requested a new tech.  Warner said we could have the same tech that didn't know what he was doing. and refused to speak to me directly. everything was relayed through a secretary.
5. the only reason they got 1 star is because of the last tech who new what he was doing.  all the parts that the first tech had replaced were good.  they were going to charge us $500 for replacing good parts.  the new tech was able to diagnose the actual problem and provide customer service.

Purchased a Carrier refrigerated a/c unit from this company in 2018 for $7K. When it was installed, the drain pipe was installed at a slight angle up (not allowing water to drain properly).
Didn't have any issues until a couple of weeks ago, we were getting cool air, then warm, cool, warm.
They came out on Monday 7/17/23 (incidentally we had them come out in May to do a check and technician convinced us to get their service contract) and they discovered that the drain pipe had a lot of water buildup, they drained it and we provided 2 cinder blocks to lift the pipe approximately an inch for water to drain properly.
I was charged $153.00 for a diagnostic test and labor.
I called Barrett to dispute the diagnostic charge as it was their technicians that installed the drain pipe incorrectly and was told that it PROBABLY shifted.
I honestly would have been ok just paying for the labor but to charge us for the diagnostic fee was unacceptable.
Now I see why their reviews are so poor.
