Best Ceiling Drywall Installation in Phoenix AZ
I utilized the services of this company a couple of months ago based on the 5 star reviews on this site and was hoping I will be one of their happy and satisfied customers. I would have given this review 3 stars at best, but the final response of the owner in our correspondence was not what I was expecting.
I'm breaking down this review in a few categories:
Punctuality - 3 stars
My online inquiry was promptly returned by the owner Adam and work was scheduled right away.
On the first day, the contractor (Scott) was supposed to arrive at 9 am and didn't arrive until 20 minutes after. A phone call or text would've been nice, and helpful since apparently he was having a hard time finding my condo. The next couple of visits, the time of his arrival keeps getting pushed to 10, then 10:30 am. With that said, he did stay a couple of hours longer to complete his work which meant I had to ditch my own plans in the evening on those day so that I can be around when he's doing the work since he constantly asks for feedback.
Professionalism - 4 stars
Scott was courteous and engaging. He included me in any decision-making process during the project. When I asked him to do certain tasks like crown molding and custom cabinets, he declined to do them stating that it's not his skill set but provided me with information to ensure that a more qualified person perform the job.
This was a bit confusing for me because......
Workmanship - 2 stars
While he did include me in every decision-making in every step, there were many that were made because he didn't do things right the first time like hanging a mirror that's not level (he worked on it for a while and he got frustrated with it and said "Please let that be okay."), applying silicone caulking on areas that need to be painted (I had to remove it later, paint and re-caulk it), applying mosaic tile which weren't straight (he eventually fixed it). Of course those took time to get done. I was willing to overlook many other details. The biggest blunder (and one that had me in a bit of a tizzy) was laying the floor tile which had varying widths in the grout lines and being uneven in many areas which is not evident at first until your feet catch on the edges. I relayed this concern to Adam. Scott offered to come back at a later date on his own time to fix it. He said "Just need to pop up these two tiles and it should be good." That is not the case though, the whole floor needs to be redone to correct those issues. I had reservations having him redo the work since I was expecting him to do it right the first time. After all, he declined to do a couple of things for me he thought he was unqualified to do and bungled a job he's supposed to know how to do. On a positive note, he did an excellent job with the dry wall.
When I followed up with Adam with regards to the work done, I didn't expect him to kinda just brush it off and invoke that they're just a handyman company (not a high end renovation company) and you get what you pay for. I thought it was reasonable to expect that the contractor would be at least average at best and that laying tile is not considered "high end". It is for this reason I had to dock another from this review. Heck, an apology would've sufficed but no, it's buyer beware.
I would not recommend this company to my family or friends.

I had Arizona Maintenance Service come for the first time. They removed my shutters to accommodate a new window installation the next day and then replaced them the day after the window was placed. I worked with Jesus who was just a delight with a great personality. He was timely, very neat with his work and respectful of my property. He was extremely competent and I really cannot say enough about him and the organization of the company! Highly recommend. Karen W.

I was so impressed with this company. The response I received from them for a quote was so immediate I thought it was too good to be true. They sent me a 24 hour confirmation to guarantee that they would be there. They showed up on time and were quick and efficient. Their quote beat all other quotes that I had received and their workmanship, attitude and just overall value exceeded my expectations. I highly recommend these guys. Michelle and Luis were awesome to work with. Thank you so much!

Called Everette on a Sunday for some drywall repair and he was able to get me in the next morning. He was on time, courteous, and very professional. He did a great job at a great price. I would definitely hire him again for any future jobs.

If you need anything done, call Chris. It is his business and he takes great pride in what he does. Plus he's licensed and if you have ever had work done by an unlicensed handyman you do so at your own risk.
I had several jobs to be done: kitchen backsplash installed , kitchen island stone installed, removal and drywall replacement with insulation of large doggy door. He did it all perfectly in a day and a half. He is very organized, cleaned up accordingly and his prices are more than fair. I highly recommend!

My front door made a hole in my wall because it was swung open too hard. The response time was super fast and they were able to come out next day! I'm extremely satisfied with my service, it looks as if nothing ever happened. :)

Dan is a blessing!
I was fortunate to find him on Next Door and he was able to get me in quickly. I wanted to install Elfa shelves and he was able to not just get this done, but with perfection! Here's three reasons why Handyman Dan is my goto:
1. Quality Work
2. Honest and Fair Pricing
2. Communication (even emails receipts)
Good luck and happy repairs to all!

I just had Mark at Arcadia Handyman complete some home repairs for me. He was on time, we had excellent communication between us about repairs. His work is professional and his prices are more than fair. Highly recommend his service. He can do it all.

We had to have the drain system in our home replaced due to breakage (it was cast iron). We understood from the onset that it would require ripping out our bathroom. We hired a plumbing company to jackhammer the slab and take care of it. But we still needed to have our bathroom put back. Enter Vlad. From the onset it was not a small job, as you can see from the photos. Vlad was undaunted and let us know exactly what he could do for us. He made suggestions and recommendations that helped us pick out our new materials. Older homes like ours can always pose challenges and that was definitely the case here. But Vlad worked diligently until everything was completed. We couldn't be happier with our new bathroom! We would absolutely hire Vlad again for any of our contractor needs!

I am disabled and occasionally need to use a wheelchair. We built our home when I was able-bodied and I have used Brett to do a couple of remodel projects to make things more accessible for me. Most recently, he completely remodeled a poorly designed walk in shower to make it much safer and more accessible for me. This was a life- changer. The new shower is not only beautiful, it's very functional. I can now roll my wheelchair into the shower and transfer to the seat he installed. Brett is dependable and a great guy to deal with. I can't recommend this service enough!

JAG is THE BEST place to get your home worked on! Jaimes response time is great and he really understands my vision! My roof was leaking & came & looked at it & gave me a very reasonable price! No more leaks! He also gave me an estimate for some built ins I want in our living room. He has made my home renovation a breeze, I am so thankful to Jaime! Will be getting all my services from JAG from now on!

Gilbert and his crew did a big job in a small space for me (drywall, painting, flooring, tile, framing, fixtures, more!) They finished when they said they would, helped save me money on materials, and even were able to tack on a couple smaller things we hadn't talked about when scheduling. Reliable, professional, attentive, communicative, shared good ideas, asked for feedback, and did good work! Went above and beyond every step of the way to make sure I was happy with how it turned out.
I can't believe I'm actually looking forward to calling someone to help with smaller jobs around the house -- but now that I found this company, I am! They are going to be the first I call from now on, and I've already recommended to friends.

I needed a shower head swapped out but couldn't get the existing one loose. He was in the area on a Saturday and came by, removed the existing one and installed the new one in minutes. No leaks. Great price, and was absolutely pleasant and efficient. He's my new handyman for the many other things I need done. Have ashtray told my friends about him, too.

Clayton was able to get a door of mine re-hung after it started suffering some pretty bad sagging. He was able to provide a very accurate quote and the work done is exactly as I was hoping. Will definitely reach out again if any work is needed around the house.

I am extremely happy that I hired this company. I found them here on Yelp as I needed to get a variety of jobs done on my rental property right before the tenants moved in now in mid-September. The owner Kurt was always straightforward, puntual, with good communication and offered me fair prices for each job. Each job was done right including plumbing work, electrical, drywall, installation of light fixtures and ceiling fans. This built my trust in this company so I am looking forward to do more work with them. Kurt was able to finalize everything before the tenants moved in as planned. He has been a real estate investor himself so he understood my concerns and always provided great recommendations. This company can do a great variety of jobs so it feels great to have a company like this available as soon as I need them. Highly recommended.

Since moving to Fountain Hills it's been a challenge to get service companies to come out to this part of town. I had placed a quote request on Yelp to about 3-4 handyman companies but found that nobody services this part of town.
So on FB I asked for a recommendation and got Chad's names within minutes of posting.
Since the ceilings in my house are 15-20 feet high I had to find a handyman that could change out the smoke alarm batteries and air conditioner filters that had to be replaced. Our ladder that we had didn't reach that high making it very difficult for us to do it ourselves.
I called Chad Saturday morning expecting to have to book an appointment later in the week but totally lucked out because Chad was in the neighborhood and available.
Chad popped on over, took care of 5 filters to be replaced and our smoke alarm and was done in less then 30 minutes.
Chad has a friendly personality, is knowledgeable, very professional and most of all quick.
If you're in the Fountain Hills area, he's a good guy to call to do your "honey do," list.

Zach did a fantastic job on installing this closet system that I got and patching the hole in my bathroom wall. He gave me a good quote that seemed fair for the work to be done. He brought the tools and materials necessary to the project and was nice and professional. I highly recommend him. Thank you.

CJ was great. He is polite and kind. I had him go to an elderly clients home to check smoke alarms batteries. He had the batteries needed on his truck. And he was patient and kind to her. Very reasonable and fair. I think I will use him for my handyman needs
