Best Electric Furnace Repair in Denver CO
Our A/C stopped working and so we called this company and made an appointment.
The appointment was set up by my husband and he tells me he was told a $45 service charge would be required plus $45 for the first half hour of work (but that second part was a bit unclear and we were unclear on this until the owner explained to me, the bill was a bit surprising initially) make sure you understand this as it means the minimum chagre is really $90! This is still in line with others in the area. We were told they would be here around 2:30-3 but it wasnt until 4:45 or so that my husband received a call that the service man would be arriving shortly and they arrived at 5:15ish. The part we needed, according to the information on our receipt, sells for $20-30 online. We were charged $145. This is more than a 400% markup... Based on my research, a part like that should be more 100-300% markup so I felt that this was high. It may be that the part is more specialized, I can only go off the information I was given, but if that is the case, perhaps markup amounts were lower.
3 hours later, my house was still extremely hot. I don't know how long it is supposed to take but we received no information on that.
Plus side, my husband and I agreed that the service man was nice and quick. After we called and complained, they came out the next day and apparently hadn't checked the freon levels, which also needed to be fixed (freon is being phased out and is very expensive, which added more to our bill but it was this or a new unit and I did check to confirm prices for the gas were consistent, didn't feel a concern with this) Now the air is working and there was no second charge for service so I bumped to 4* but that's up on rounding since I would have expected everything to be checked the first time and would have appreciated more information on when to call back if it didn't work the first time.
*Note: review reflects my opinion but I have discussed this service call with the owner and he is very keen to make sure you are happy and we will most likely use them again ourselves when something happens, just go in with eyes wide open regarding that this is an expensive household repair.
Update:
The owner contacted my husband as well and was very helpful in resolving several of my issues, including what I saw as an overcharging of parts and for the extra service charge not being properly explained.
He worked with us to address all the concerns and we are both satisfied as of this time with this company.

Retired elderly couple mystified by all things electrical was impressed by the prompt courteous and knowledge of Joel our electrician, he walked us thru every step with a normal and easily understandable description of the work to be performed. This is our second AC install with Ultimate. Second time was just as good as the first. The crew was very professional and personable from the moment they arrived. They did a great installation, explained everything clearly and cleaned up their work area very well.

SG Electric replaced three ceiling fixtures and some misc. items in our home. They were the first to call back after I contacted several electricians. They were easy to work with, affordable and did expert work. I recommend them!

James changed out our old faucet, disposal button and soap dispenser this morning. He had to do extra work to get our old faucet out, but was persistent and professional dealing with the damaged part on the old faucet.
He was professional, friendly and definitely knew what he was doing!

The service technicians that installed our new water heater were very good. However, I was very disappointed in the price that was charged. Knowing that we needed a new water heater because we had no hot water, we were charged an extreme price that felt like price gouging. We used Cooper in 2010 to replace our air conditioning and heating systems. They were very good and reasonably priced. I now made an appointment with Cooper to come out to check our heating system but will cancel that visit due to the extreme cost they charged us for the water heater. There are many other heating & cooling companies out there that I will use next time.

Called to have a ceiling fan changed out. I purchased the fan. When the tech arrived he quoted me a price of $719.00. When I called the office to confirm this and not think I had heard wrong they stated fan installs run from $400.00 to 800.00. I think not.

I've had lights wired in at work and a security system wired in at home by these folks. High quality, friendly, and trustworthy! I use them for everything.

I had business worked out with the owner, it was cancelled without any warning and sold to someone else. Pat is unprofessional.

Where do I begin! This was such a refreshingly pleasant experience. Tim was on time, friendly, honest and best of all explained things in a way you can understand.
We bought a house that was flipped about a year ago and in our contract the electrical was all supposed to be brought up to code, obviously it wasn't. Tim fixed it all perfectly and went above and beyond to wright a report for us to take to the seller.
You really don't need to look anywhere else. Give this family owned company your business. They deserve it and they will get the job done right, right on time and on budget.

After taking time off of work and waiting for a couple hours within the 4 hour window, they called to tell me they would not make the appointment. Project was needed to be done according to schedule. Wouldn't come on Sunday, despite saying they are 24/7, said they were closed, except for emergencies...overall disappointing. Will try someone else.

WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE EVER. SERIOUSLY. ASKED TO service two furnaces took over 8 hours, called them because the tech was dragging dirt everywhere and they told him the owner was complaining about him so he didn't want to finish. After he left I had the furnace inspected and it failed. Called and they said well we didn't certify the furnace. jeez not only are you terrible at your job, your service folks don't even TRY to make it right. NEVER USE THESE PEOPLE.

What a lousy company. I had such high hopes for them. The lady in the office was kind at least. The guy comes out to look at an outlet that went bad and spends the whole time fear mongering, telling us all about how awful our wiring is and how much danger our kids are in. Then quotes us $14k to fix the problems. So I call in 2 other electricians who tell me that's about 3x what it would actually cost and that Applewood isn't even licensed to fix the problem the correct way! Screw these people. Don't even call them, unless you enjoy paying too much and having some guy tell you your house is going to burn down and your whole family will die.

We have used AAA for a variety of plumbing problems. The technicians are prompt, professional, and kind to the old folks. Scheduling the work is very efficient and the communication with the company is outstanding. I highly recommend AAA

DISAPPOINTED - I will give them a few stars because they are timely and efficient when it comes to getting someone out in a day or two/their prices are predictable being a big brand company but they told me I needed a full sewer line replacement so I had another small business sewer company come out and check out the main line and they not only quoted me a more reasonable price but actually helped us find a solution that is not a full repair (we didn't need to do a full repair). Plus our technician couldn't even clear the drain which they have a note on their website saying If the drain technician cannot clear your line it will be FREE. it was not free - we still had to pay for them to snake/pull the toilet which was $168 and we had to pay another $260ish to have them scope the drain + we would have to pay even more to get the scope video? (Dig It Sewer Repair scoped our drain FOR FREE) ... hear me out if its an emergency I guess they are okay to use since its timely but if you can wait and call around, reach out to other companies in the Denver area like Dig It Sewer Repair or Colorado Plumbing - GET MULTIPLE OPINIONS ON ANY BIG REPLACEMENTS SO YOU DON'T GET RIPPED OFF!
