Needed an electrician on a moment's notice. Eugene sent a guy right out. He was friendly and got the job done quickly.  Highly recommend.

Dickson Electric Electrician
I recently had Dickson add electrical outlets, hard-wired smoke detectors, and ethernet cabling in my house.

I've interacted with three people: Liz, Kurt, and Devin. All three of them have been fantastic. Kurt did the bid and graciously helped me think out some of the things I'd wanted. Liz did all the email back-and-forth. Devin (and his apprentices, Richard and Justin) did the on-site work.

Devin rocks (god, I hope I'm spelling his name right). That's just a good dude, right there. Everyone was professional, but Devin was a great person to have in the house. He was more than happy to explain things along the way and made sure to touch base with me anytime things weren't lining up exactly as I had requested, showing me what was going on and how he was going to mitigate it.

My three year-old came home from daycare after Devin finished on the last day and asked, Daaaad! Where's Devin? I want to see him!, then proceeded to get upset when I told her that he'd finished the work and gone home. She told me that she liked him and wanted to see him again. I agreed with her.

I already have more electrical work planned and will be giving them a call soon.

Mercurio's Heating & Air Conditioning Electrician
Quick to send out a repair person but thought the prices were too high.  Was not overly confident tech knew what he was doing.

Eco Electric & Plumbing Electrician
Project started great and everyone was very friendly. Toward the end of the project I found things that were damaged in my home and a number of items that Exo Electric failed to complete. As soon as I mentioned these items, their attitudes shifted instantly and then weren't so friendly. I hired them to remove all of the dangerous knob and tube wiring, replace the panel inside, swap all switches & outlets and replace the box and mast outside. The knob and tube wiring is still in my house, they installed light switches crooked, did not swap every outlet like they said they would, left a major outlet in the kitchen dead-no power to that outlet still to this day, installed that outside box cooked and not flush to the house, the mast is touching my new roof  done a few weeks ago and bending shingles, the box inside is not installed properly and does not latch shut. They said they were going to bring a label maker to make the box nice but instead wrote everything by hand and not clearly, quite sloppy actually. They attempted to charge me an exorbitant amount amount for additional work to remedy these issues and I said no. They went on to say that they were not coming back and that the job is marked as complete. This. Reach of contract on their part has caused multiple issues with other projects including the roof, siding and gutters. Customer service from this company was horrendous and they are anything but professional. The GM Cory Hessiltine was extremely unprofessional on our 1 call, using profanity and not allowing me to speak. He went on a rant and essentially told me how it is. This company is run by sleazy sleazy sales people, I was clearly just a number to this company and they do not care about helping their customers, their only concern is getting paid- not doing what is right. Don't make the same mistake that I did in hiring these amateurs.

Dean's Home Repair Electrician
Dean was able to come and replace my water heater (and also take a look at an electrical issue I had) over the holidays on short notice. I talked to a few other folks, and while Dean wasn't the cheapest, I felt that I would be taken care of really well with Dean and double bonus to take care of the electrical issue.

When he and his helper were at my house, they were very clean and left the area in good order. I would recommend Dean to anyone!

After Hours Services Electrician
This is my first ever Yelp review and I decided to write my honest review for After Hour Services.

My kitchen sink has been stuck for more than 12 hrs. I tried different methods for 5 hrs but still couldn't get it resolved.

After Hours Services exceeded my expectations in many ways-

Responsive: Will replied my request for quote under 10 mins, and replied my text and call fairly quickly.

Professional: Will got things done in under 30 mins. In addition, Will was very thorough in examining andexplaining the issue. What I love the most is that he cleaned up the area after the issue was fixed.

Transparent pricing: he's honest and it's a flat fee and very reasonable price. I got different quotes and his is the most transparent.

On-time: he was on time, which is a very big factor for me.

Overall, I recommend Will and After Hour Services, with passion.

Hunt's Services Electrician
Refused to give any idea of price after waiting on phone for 15 minutes to talk to agent and then sending pictures per their request. This was a small job and they refused ballpark pricing. They offered to send a tech for $59 to give me a price. I went elsewhere.

Black Hills Electrician
Black Hills solicited my business after I went on the web requesting work be done in a rental home I own between tenants. Upon learning that the house was a rental and would be unoccupied at the time of their service, they declined the opportunity to do the job for both reasons.

Obviously, Black Hills doesn't need the work and can afford to be picky. That's good to know; I won't bother them again, ever, as I wouldn't want to deprive them of free time.

Washington Energy Services Electrician
Customer loyalty is not something they seem to care about at Washington Energy Services. Our furnace, which was installed by WES five years ago, stopped working over Christmas weekend. It has been in the 30s and low 40s in Seattle and is expected to drop to the 20s this week. Last night was very, very cold in our 1924-built house. Brrrrrrrr.

My husband called WES first thing this morning, and after waiting on hold for 15 minutes, was told they couldn't come for a month to repair it. A MONTH. Husband asked if they offered any emergency repair services and was told no.

I called again about an hour later and waited on hold for another 20 minutes. I explained to the receptionist that we purchased our furnace from WES and that it seemed insane that we would have to wait a month. It took her 15 minutes just to look for our information - despite us having spent thousands on a new furnace from WES, they had no record of us apparently.

The receptionist finally got back on the line and told me the soonest they could get here would be three weeks from now. She asked if we had an alternative-heating source, because everyone knows that space heaters are an efficient and safe way to heat an old house for a month in the dead of winter. Not until I expressed how dissatisfied I was did she say that they offered an emergency repair service for an extra hundred. Tacked on last minute that sure felt like a scam.

I declined their ridiculous appointment offer and called another repair service with high ratings. Talk about a night and day difference. The receptionist at this place was extremely helpful and seemed shocked when I told her about the wait at WES - even more so when I mentioned the $100 emergency fee. She booked us a repair tomorrow morning and apologized profusely that she couldn't get us in today. Assuming this place does a good job, we will sign up for a yearly maintenance program with them because I'm done with WES.

So, TL;DR, take your business elsewhere. While WES was very helpful when we were purchasing and spending a lot of money, they pretty much have sucked since then. If you look through the disparate Yelp reviews for WES, you'll see this is a recurring theme: five stars for purchases, one or two stars for service after that. Another experience worth mentioning: When WES put in our furnace, they installed a new chimney liner. The cheap and ugly PVC piping they used is very visible coming out of our chimney on the roof and seriously detracts from our home's curb appeal. When I asked if there was anything that could be done to hide it, they shrugged like they didn't give a you know what. That response pretty much sums up my experience with WES.

Beacon Plumbing Electrician
We are new to Renton and had some electrical issues, called Beacon at 7pm on a Friday and they were able to fit us in for an appointment.  Zach and Dennis showed up an hour later and fixed all of our issues.  Very transparent and honest people.  When I asked about what motivates them to take care of their customers, they said they are taken care of by the owner and they love their work and make sure they take care of their customers.  They shared that the owner, they said the owner will have dinner waiting for them at home many times.
Really impressed with the people and the company.

A Advanced Septic & Construction Services Electrician
My septic tank was over full and it was backing up in my toilet.  These folks pumped the tank , cleaned the filter and got it working good again. Great job, friendly people!

Washington Energy Services Electrician
I would not recommend WES for window replacement. Have serious concerns regarding not the windows themselves but the quality of the installation. They had to cut the hardy plank siding to refit the window frames and the cuts were sloppy and needed a ridiculous amount of caulking to seal. One window started leaking within a year and was told that the seal failed because we didn't paint the new frames to protect the caulking. Really? The seal on window properly installed should not depend on a coat of paint. I suspect the windows were not wrapped properly during the installation process and sealed before the new frames were put on. Be prepared to hire hey separate contractor to come out and paint your frames they do not perform this work even though they deem it necessary for proper seal. Very frustrating.

Resicon Heating and Air, Plumbing & Electrical Electrician
Resicon accommodated my complex schedule,  coordinating work with arrival of ordered units. After my job changed, the owner worked with me regarding pricing. The electrician had to drill 9 extra holes in my wall, however, to find the correct placement. I certainly didn't expect that! Yet I can understand the difficulty involved. I just would have preferred less/no patching after the work was completed.

6910 27th St W, University Place, WA 98466
Black Lion Heating & Air Conditioning Electrician
Had an aprilaire filter, remi halo, and a new return plenum made to accommodate the limited space. They charged me 6 grand to do this work. It took about 3.5 hours to do, and they never sealed the return ducts or insulated the return plenum (required by code since it's in a vented attic). The crew knew next to nothing about static air pressure of the system or the implications of the duct work on the overall performance.

Bottom line: not knowledgable, overpriced, and a lack of craftsmanship.

DEAR Services: Electrical, Plumbing, Heating & Cooling Electrician
Outstanding service. We had a plumbing emergency and called Dear as we had used them in the past and always had great service.  Again I'd say they were outstanding.  Tony was our tech and he did quick analysis and told us up front the worst case price it could be so we were forewarned. Thankfully the cost was lower in the end as he was able to patch the pipe instead of needing to replace it.
