Shawn was fantastic and I'd highly recommend him. From start to finish, he was a prompt and patient communicator, which can't be said for most contractors. He quickly returned my call, found time for a comprehensive estimate and offered a competitive quote to upgrade my service, and replace my panel, install a car charger, and a many more small tasks.
During the project, he was efficient while taking time to answer all my questions and explain everything in layman's terms. He was always super considerate to do everything the right way, even if it wasn't the fastest way.
All in all, Shawn was great.

Brian showed up on time, identified the issues, fixed them and cleaned up after himself. He worked quietly and efficiently, explained issues when he found them, and was super professional. A great experience with an honest and effective professional. I would use Wickman again in a heartbeat!

Can't say enough good things about Wired Seattle. We bought an old house, which had some knob-and-tube wiring, which had to be replaced. In addition, there were some other aspects of the house's wiring that needed to be updated, replaced, improved. Rob and Rob, the owners, can in, examined and evaluated, and gave us a number of choices for what might be done, explaining the alternatives and the costs and benefits of each and gave us estimates. They treated us as a knowledgable customer, and gave advice and, as I said, choices. They and their crew came in, did the work, kept us informed of where things stood. And they were friendly and did everything they could to allow us, amidst their work, to keep things in the house as normal as possible. They finished a bit ahead of schedule and sent us a bill that was lower than their estimate. We would hire them again, without a moment's hesitation. Great guys, great work ethic, and extraordinary capable. And if it is possible to enjoy having major work done on your house, they are the guys who can make it happen.

One word to summarize Solarside is Unorganized.
Working with Marv on our new construction project was a nightmare. Weeks behind schedule, showing up for only a couple hours at a time to work on our project, and leaving a massive mess for us to clean up every trip. We are still fixing stuff he did months after moving in. Save yourself the hassle and use a bigger more organized company for your larger projects. Saving money with Marv's low bid was not worth it and we regret using him.

Wow! What a difference in our hall bathroom - even on a cloudy day! Our Solatube was installed so quickly and quietly. When I first saw it in action the daylight was spilling into our hallway - just as much, if not more than the daylight from a south facing bedroom. It's so nice not having to turn the light on. The really interesting thing is even though the Solatube is placed on the north side of the roof, the bathroom looks sunny. It must be the special roof feature capturing the light because our 2' x 4' traditional box skylight further down the roof was less light on that same day.

I was introduced to Artisan through the Solarize West Seattle outreach program back in July of 2014. They were one of the two vendors selected for the program. After watching both companies present, I decided hands down I wanted to work with Artisan. From my initial introduction to the exit interview, I found each interaction with Artisan staff to be productive, friendly and fun. My install occurred in early February of this year. The crew arrived on time each day, left the work side cleaner than when they arrived and were fun to have around. Since i live in a Townhouse, I let my neighbors know when the install would occur. I asked them afterward if they had any issues with the construction and both said no. Artisan made all of the filings with the state and city easy. A month after the install, they did an in person exit interview walking me through a detailed manual with all of the information about my specific system and numbers to call if I have problems. All in all, the best experience i have ever had with a contractor.

Hired Reign City to install a ceiling fan. During a refreshingly friendly phone call, the owner provided the price estimate and scheduled the work. Electrician called ahead of the appointment time to ask if he could arrive early, which worked fine. The electrician was courteous and professional, finished his work within the timeframe the owner had told me it would take to complete the job. I'm very happy with the result and will definitely hire them again when I have an electrical related task.

I was referred to MAD Energy NW through a colleague of mine who hired Mike (the owner) to do some electrical work on an investment property of his. After looking up and verifying his license with the county to be active and free from violation I gave him a call to pick his brain and get a second opinion estimate. Mike was able to quickly and concisely explain the work to be completed in such a way so that anyone could easily understand it's complexity. He offered two options that would bring the electrical up to code giving me the choice of how to proceed and I really appreciate that. I didnt feel like I was being sold. He showed up early and stayed until all my questions were answered leaving me with peace of mind. Very glad to have finally found an electrician I can trust. Mike is a Master Electrician and a perfectionist in his trade, he was also polite and courteous. It has been my experience in dealing with home remodels with all types of tradesmen and general contractors that there is an overwhelming level of arrogance and bravado that one has to navigate through. You won't experience that when you choose to do business with the professionals at MAD Energy NW. Thank you Mike for all your help! You've definitely earned my business!

Frederickson Electric is the most competent, cooperative and friendly contractor I have ever encountered. Everyone in the company, from Hans Frederickson on down, responded immediately to our requests and did their work professionally and efficiently. They even thought of creative ways to do some very difficult wiring tasks, in a very old house, that would save us both time and money. I recommend them very highly, and really would not use anyone else.

Elmecco's fees are extremely high and they charged $300 project manager fee! They charged over $1000 for a problem of flickering lights in my Seattle condo. The electrician did not fix the problem at the 1st visit. He came back to fix it. They charged both visits ($330 each). PLUS $300 for project manager fee!
Below are their charges:
First visit June 1st:
Service call for flickering lights in unit - there was a half hour of travel time to the job, 2.5 hrs onsite opening light switches/outlets/light fixtures trying to diagnose the problem. Including travel time there was a total of 3 hours for June 1st.
3 hrs @ Journeyman Rate of $110 = $330
Second visit June 12th:
3 hrs @ journeyman rate $110 = $330
$300 - Project Manager 2 hours@ $150/hr
(The Project manager determines manpower required for scope of job; schedules the job; assists with troubleshooting issues; oversees billing)
$ 25 - Admin Fee 15 minutes @$100/hr (Administration handles intake call and invoice prep and processing)
$985 Total labor cost
$99.49 Sales Tax
$1084.49 Total

Matt Molzan helped us update our entire old house to ensure all lighting/electrical was up to code with the City of Tacoma. He then navigated the permit process with the inspection department getting the approval on the first meeting, with no delays. Our family highly recommends Synergy Electric + Technology if you want the job done right the first time.

I'm very satisfy for the work, install a new GFCI outlet for dishwasher and disposal, fix and protect exposed wire properly.

We recently moved into an older home that needed some fixes to the electrical outlets as well as some other electrical issues. I got this company's name from our realtor. Alex was great. He came to our house, fixes everything, but didn't oversell his services. He understood we wanted things to be safe. He was hard-working, thorough, and even cleaned up the dust and debris left after some extensive work on numerous outlets. I would definitely recommend this company with no hesitations at all.
