Handyman Heroes Electrician
We used this company a few years ago to replace a sliding glass door and mount some TVs in SF.  We just moved to the East Bay and were very pleased to find out they service Oakland too.  I originally tried to contact a few Oakland-based handymen and no one either had time or did the work we needed (hanging heavy things to the wall).  Handyman Heroes was responsive and immediately scheduled someone to come out - Ron (who hung a very heavy mirror and installed our screen doors).  They weren't able to get to the TV mounting on the first visit, so they sent out Oliver and Damien a second time to do that.  They were really nice and as a bonus, Oliver fixed a plug that wasn't working and Oliver and Damien even moved some furniture for me when they were done mounting the TV (which required drilling and patching some holes in our wall to hide the wires).  I'm already planning to schedule them to come back out to fix our external plugs and honestly, whatever other problems we have in the future.  5 stars!  You definitely should give this company a try.  We've liked everyone we've worked with through the years.

The Electric Handyman Electrician
My 2009 Macbook Pro was getting old. I know, I know 12 years old is ancient for a laptop!! Was it dying? Sloooooooow log-on. Periodic freeze-ups. Overheating. Ridiculously short battery charge. And then, out of the blue, occasional shutdowns. I am not a computer geek, but it was clear that I had a problem.  I started to look at the price of a new machine...over $2000 to get something new with the same size screen. Oh sh*t!!

But then, I talked to Julian at Integrity Electric and Digital. A light at the end of the tunnel appeared. He listened to my description of what was happening. He helped me save the files and other information that I needed from the machine. He replaced the battery and the hard drive. Checked the fans. Reloaded basic software.

A few glitches remained...some flashes to a black screen.  Julian fiddled with the machine and made several adjustments, which he carefully explained, but which I barely understood. The result: not quite a brand new machine...but close.  A resuscitated, fully functional laptop that has some life left in it.  Just what I needed until I am ready to buy a new machine. Julian was down to earth, straight forward, and reliable. Highly recommended.
