Eleney Electric Electrician
I manage two rental houses with several apartments and have an old house myself - always needing an electrician for something. The one-man operation of Fearghal McEleney aka Eleney Electric is superb: on time, knows his stuff, reasonable priced, an intelligent and friendly guy who goes the extra mile to make customers happy.

I have used his expertise for a few years now and just sent him over to see new tenants to fix a faulty switch. I came by later to check with the tenant and she could not stop telling me how great he was - not only did he fix the switch, he figured out what was wrong with the downstairs track lighting (and fixed it), and then showed the new tenant how to use the front door lock system. Thank you Fearghal for making my life easier and my tenants happy with me! Oh, and thank you for fixing the things too.

Brookline Electric Electrician
Today I had John install a Nest Thermostat. John is, I should add, some of the most nice, friendly, outgoing and sweet people I've had the pleasure to have in my home, and I do not know who Eileen L is other than someone who received some sort of other John, an alternate-reality John that I do not believe exists. Also, if an electrician says he doesn't do something, why would you push him to do it? Anyway, your story sounds weird and totally different to mine. For example, he said I made a mess, lemme clear that up when I looked - it was a tiny pile of dust from where he'd pulled wire through.

John arrived a minute past 11am, so that's prompt. He texted me to let me know he was on his way, made a funny joke about the placement of the house, and didn't mind that I was on a business call. All he asked was to be directed to where he was meant to go. He found that the old thermostat was wired weirdly, and unlike other electricians found a way to make it work properly. He added new wiring and specifically worked out how to get it working. I've seen three Nest installs before this that were on non-standard thermostats and John sorted it. He started working at 11:10, and finished around 12. He said that it been simple, he had done it in less time.

He charged $235. I don't know what is reasonable, but I was expecting $350. His work was clean, efficient, and he waited very patiently as I tested both that the termostat worked, was set to Heat, that it connected to Wifi, my Nest account, AND that it turned on and off correctly. The heat in my place is slow. He also tested my smoke alarm just in case.

John was arguably one of the most pleasant and caring technicians I've had in my life. It's one thing to say oh he was nice, but he genuinely had a beautiful disposition that I believed contractors didn't have anymore.

Valencia Electric Electrician
Natalie seems like a nice person, friendly.  However, she seems to have some limitations.  One of my landscape lights was out, so I bought a coupon from Amazon Local for two hours of service from Valencia. Natalie came out, spent about half an hour looking at the fixture and presented me with an estimate for rewiring the fixture.  So I called my regular guy - Julian, the Electric Handyman - and he fixed it in fifteen minutes.  It was a loose wire and tripped ground switch.

After I posted the review above, Natalie did contact me to follow up and see if she could be helpful. The coupon was refunded, and Natalie let me know that she has bought some equipment that will help her trace wire activity better.  I was impressed by her willingness to hear feedback and make positive changes.  If I had another job, I might give her another chance.

Brains Home Electric & Automation Electrician
It always feels good to support local businesses, but it's especially rewarding to support ones that are just getting started. When I went on Yelp looking for an electrician, Estiben and Brains Automation Homes didn't even have any reviews yet! It's always a little risky to go with a business with no reviews, but something told me Estiben knew what he was doing, and I can definitely say I made a good choice in selecting him for my home project.

I had been wanting to replace the old and ugly outlets and switches in my home, and decided to get a few quotes just to see what I would be getting myself into. Brains Automation Homes offered a competitive estimate and got the job done exactly as I had requested and quickly (I was able to schedule an appointment the same week I started looking for an electrician). It turns out Estiben is a one-man show breaking out on his own and trying to build up his business (hence, not many reviews). He's licensed, competent, and friendly. He knew exactly what I was talking about when I mentioned I might want to replace an outlet with one that had USB ports. As the business name indicates, Brains Automation Homes has experience with hooking up smart homes, so you know Estiben is knowledgeable about some of the latest tech.

For my project, Estiben arrived on time, was very polite, got the job done well, and cleaned up after himself. In all, he replaced two regular outlets, two outlet-switch combinations with GFCI, two double light switches, two single light switches, and a three-switch contraption in the bathroom that connects to the light, the fan, and a heater. The bathroom switch was a late add-on (I thought it might be too complicated), but Estiben had all the necessary parts, so he was able to take care of it then and there.

I have a few more electrical projects in mind, and I won't hesitate to contact Brains Automation Homes when the time comes.

The outlets were not working suddenly and asked for help. Lucus answered the phone and arranged the visit within a couple of hours. Martin showed up and got it fixed in a short period of time. Martin is professional and friendly, and most importantly, gets the job done.  Can't ask for more.  Appreciate it!

Jaime's Power Solutions Electrician
Our florescent light fixture in the kitchen stopped working. Jaime said he could could come by this afternoon after another job and check it out. Approached the job in a systematic way. Then  went to get the part and installed it. He was efficient, focused and took care in doing the installation of the ballast. It was great. I would have had to wait one or two days for others I called and we needed this done today.

Had an electrical issue with our kitchen outlets that affected the power to our fridge so Miro came out on a Sunday for a service call even though his business was closed and we hadn't yet set up an appointment. He was very friendly and cordial, explained the issue and fixed it promptly! Rates are very reasonable. Highly recommend!!

Boyes Electric Electrician
These guys are amazing. From first contact with Sal, to the installation crew and finalizing all the work with Borin, the customer service and craftsmanship was top knotch.

We hired Boyes Electric to replace our old fuse box with a new 200amp breaker box, add recessed lighting to our living room (including ground rod), install a Nest thermostat to an old furnace, hardwire a Ring doorbell and remove a living room sconce. They're customer service was great, price came in lower than competitors (we got 4 different bids) and they're the only company we talked to who also patched holes! They also went above and beyond diagnosing our Nest thermostat and handled all permits/communication with the city and PG&E, so everything was up to code. They're clean, courteous were by far the best contractors/electricians we've ever worked with.

We'll be using Boyes Electric for all of our future electrical projects, thanks guys!

RB Electric Electrician
RB Electric is a wonderful family electrical business - hire them!

My husband and I are remodeling our kitchen and we needed all new electrical. Our house is very old, from 1926 so it's cloth and tube.

We spoke with several companies and decided to go with RB Electic. The owner, Rigo, came out and walked us through what we needed. He is a pleasure to work with - clearly an expert at his craft and eager to provide a really good experience for us. We found his prices to be reasonable given the complexity of the work.

Rigo and his crew showed up on time and were ready to get started. Our job took an entire day and he had all of the materials (boxes, switches, etc) ready to go with him. They removed all of the old electrical and replaced it with new wiring and the correct boxes for the oven and fan hood. They worked very hard all day long and ask me a few questions along the way to make sure it was exactly what I wanted.

I've dealt with a lot of contractors over the years. Rigo and his crew are by far the best electricians I've ever worked with and we'll be hiring them again in the future. I highly recommend getting a quote from RB Electric and considering them for your electrical needs.

MFC Electric Inc. Electrician
Our porch light at our doorstep stopped working. We live in the foggy outer sunset in San Francisco, so a working light is very necessary. Especially for later evening grocery and Amazon deliveries. We found Micheal Fairholm here on yelp. He was very warm and friendly. He fixed our porch light and made it so that the light switch only control the porch light and not our ceiling fan. He and is apprentice was very professional and wore covered booties while in part of the house. Super awesome service. I am hoping he will be available for other small electrical needs. Super awesome!

CJ Bradley's Electric Electrician
We didn't actually use CJ Bradley for our service, but he was available and waiting for us first thing this morning after we spent the night before messaging a dozen companies w a confusing power loss in part of our home. Ross even waited around our area to make sure we were all set this morning, although someone else had made it out to us. I'd call them again, for sure.

Thanks a ton, we highly recommend Alley Electric!

Nice guys and very knowledgable. Our job ended up being more complicated than they expected because an old house always holds surprises. But they stuck with their estimate and we felt they gave us a great price for the project.
