Extremely happy with Berkeley Home Repair! I needed a kitchen faucet replaced, pronto!! Not a big job but one I could not do myself. Found them here on YELP and as it was stated, they responded back within 10 minutes! Wow!! Such a prompt response is quite a rarity these days, and the rest of the interaction was just as smooth.

They were able to squeeze me same day (another wow!). They were on time, courteous and professional. They can  handle projects of all sizes, and while I don't often have 'large jobs', it's even more comforting to know I can depend on them to help me with everyday projects, which do seem to come up quite often, and unexpectedly.

We came across Eminent Electrical on Yelp, and set up an appointment with Alex for a full house rewiring project.

Right from the start, Alex has been extremely professional and excellent to work with. He gave us a quote based on a walkthrough and an expected start date based on a schedule he maintains. The quote was clear, concise, and detailed about the work, exactly what we were looking for. We mainly corresponded over text, with paperwork and some key details worked out over email. Alex was always quick to respond and was very precise when responding to all of our questions. He took care of all the permit paperwork without any issues.  In fact, Alex became available earlier than anticipated while we were out of town. But his crew came in and did the work as agreed upon without a hitch, and even completed the bulk of work ahead of schedule. We did two walkthroughs when we were back in town, and Alex was able to accommodate a couple of minor additional requests from our side.

We were very happy with his work and would readily recommend Alex and his team to anyone looking to get electrical work done on their place.

They came out and made a very reasonable quote, set a time and date and then actually arrived ahead of time.  They called and asked if it was OK to come early and I sure had no problem with that.  With so many technicians, they are late or don't come at all without even contacting the customer.  I recommend this company and especially Russ who did the work with his son.

100% Awesome. Gandara's did circuit breakers, ran line, outlets, switches, recessed lighting and drywall for me. Everything looks sharp and works great. It's a family business and working with all the Gandaras has been a pleasure. I felt like they listened to me as a customer and took time to answer my questions in ways that I could understand. Carlos Jr created multiple estimates based on my changing plans quickly and with no problems. They always showed up on schedule. Matter of fact, I will. Ash was very professional as he returned my call within less than an hour of leaving a frantic message on his voicemail. I told him that the outlet in my bedroom had went out he replied by telling me that he would meet me at my place by 4:30 later that day. To my surprise, Ash arrived 30 minutes early from our scheduled appointment and he gave me a reasonable estimate before actually working on the project! So he worked on the problem and just as quickly as he arrived, he also was prompt to solve the electrical problem (in less than an hour)! I was more than impressed at this point.

Also, Ash had given me electrical advice and other estimates that were needed in my home which is also good to know- better safe than sorry! In addition, thanks to mentioning YELP I received a discount for Edam's electric service. Its truly refreshing to know that there is still good help out there and Edam's Electric is one of them! (ask for Ash).

Looking for an honest, hard-working, detail-oriented handyman?  Call Sergie!  I needed IKEA wall cabinets assembled and mounted.  Sergie was very responsive and quoted me his rates.  After he assembled the cabinets, we had two challenges: 1. IKEA did not order all the parts I needed and 2. the walls and ceilings were not straight and leveled.  Sergie helped me troubleshoot and problem solve. He also made sure that the cabinets were perfectly leveled and aligned. He cleaned up the room and all the debris. Because of the unexpected complications, the job took a lot longer than expected.  Sergie did not charged me for the additional hours.  He stood by his original quote. I was really impressed by his workmanship and his ethics. I highly recommend Sergie.
