Best Bedroom Remodeling in Philadelphia PA
Raul helped us renovate a commercial property and was very polite. The quote was fair and him and his team completed it in a timely manner. I am excited to work with them again in the future!

On Sept 21st 2022, we entered into a contractual agreement with Grounded Electric LLC (HIC # PA168075) for renovations. We paid $18,000.00 by bank transfer (40% of total contract!) in a deposit as stipulated in the contract for services to total $50,000.00 by project completion. Thomas Bush, the company's representative, stated that he attempted to obtain a permit from the City of Philadelphia but was unable to do so due to a lack of proper insurance coverage on his part. No work has been completed or started. This company initially said they were licensed and we checked their license with the state of PA and insurance as verification. However, when Thomas Bush applied for a permit with the City of Philadelphia, he was unable to provide the appropriate documentation (scope of work and insurance requirements) to secure a Philadelphia permit or license. He stated that the cost of the required insurance is not worth it for his business. More than three weeks after payment, on 10/15/2022 Thomas Bush stated he would refund the total amount of $18,000.00 back to us by 10/17/2022. We requested certified funds and tracking but after this request Thomas decided to send a personal check in an open window envelope via regular mail on 10/18/22. In quotes is direct communication with Thomas after asking him to send the refund via electronic or expedited means: Since it's not possible to issue the refund via methods it was received it's at my discretion how to issue the refund. I will mail a check with the full amount $18,000 to address listed below today via standard mail. This is the best I can do at this point in time. Consider my response a token a good faith that it's on the way, I could've gone silent and left you in the dark. Sorry again. How do you think we feel, waiting on an $18K personal check via snail mail in an open window envelope with no tracking after stating he could have gone dark? Hopefully the check arrives in a timely fashion and the personal check does not bounce.

Juan contacted us immediately after receiving our request for a quote. He and his team started the project within a week of us signing his quote. They completed the work on time. Juan stayed in touch with us throughout the project and always answers his phone! They did a beautiful job installing a shiplap wall with mantle and an electric fireplace and ceiling fan. They did a lot of electrical work for both the fireplace and the tv that was installed above it. His price was very reasonable and fair. We love the way it turned out!! We highly recommend MagicOne!

Electrician Review
I am usually not one to write reviews, but I felt compelled. Fayiz rewired my doorbells and presented as a pleasant guy when I met him. A few days later there was a beeping sound and smoke coming out of the chime. I called him and he came to remove the connector. He asked me to purchase another connector and told me that he would install it. I cannot hear when anyone rings my doorbell and I informed him of this. However, he kept putting it off and making excuses as to why he couldn't do it. After promising for the second time to stop by, he said he had been sick then proceeded to lash out and go into a rant saying that he should have charged me more for the job when this was never discussed prior. He also said he can't keep going back and forth (we were just waiting for the new chime I ordered to arrive). I was charged a flat rate for the job and that is detailed in the attachment below. He was paid for rewriting the chime for both the front and back door. There was no mention of Fayiz doing any work for me below his rate that I was quoted. Subsequently to this, Fayiz blocked me (very easy to tell especially with an iPhone). When I called him from a private number, in which the call went through, he answered. Once I stated who I was, he put the phone on mute. I find this behavior highly disrespectful and very unprofessional. If you do not want to do a job or choose not to do a job, I believe in open communication. It's not professional behavior to block customers or make promises to fix things and not deliver. I believe that I deserve to have a working doorbell after I paid for it. I was considering hiring him for other jobs at my house. Although he may think it's just one customer, many is to be lost. I have friends and family I could of recommended the services to as well as individuals who will read the review. I do not recommend service based on his behavior. It is very clear that all he cares about is money and not the customers.
