Best Plumbing Installation Or Replacement in Nashville TN
Helton's just left, and wow! I couldn't ask for a better father/son team! They double-checked my system, found the problem, and fixed it so quickly! They were kind, professional, courteous, and very reasonable. Rarely do I find servicemen with integrity like this. Being a realtor, I am keeping this company on my Preferred List!!! Well done and thank you so much for your help!

Not pleased with unresolved plumbing issue. Paid for service but problem still exists. Did nothing more than run an auger down pipe and then swipe credit card. Gotta say I'm unimpressed., can't recommend Lee Company to anyone and will need to find a real plumber.

I learned a valuable lesson today. I scheduled an estimate to have a few new outdoor receptacles put in. When booking the appointment, they make you agree to a Service Call charge - even for a quote. Assuming their quote would be in line with other quotes I was getting, I agreed.
This should have been the first warning sign.
When the tech got there, he was polite. However, his estimate was way higher than others I've received. In addition, other electricians provided different installation options which will save me a considerable amount of money than the way they wanted to do the installation.
When I commented on how high the estimate was, he magically dropped the price a bit - but not that much. He told me he has to quote a certain way and has no control over it. This might be so the techs can't charge what the service should be and instead charge what the company wants.
So it appears their business model is to charge people to come give an estimate that is way too high so they don't have to do the work and still pocket the service call fee.
Nice racket.

Let's start with pros:
They had appointment availability within 24 hours
They were on time
Now to my experience:
It was less than good. I was unable to get even a price range for a simple service over the phone. I would pay $49 (minus a $20) coupon just to get a quote. I was in a rush to get the service done so took the risk that the charge wouldn't be extraordinary to the service as it was very simple, I just didn't have a ladder tall enough to change a battery in a smoke detector. From there I found myself paying twice what another company quoted me- another company quoted me $50 upfront, no service call fee (of course I would understand if when they arrived that it would be more if I misrepresented the job or something unexpected was discover) and my full bill pre coupon was $99 with Lee, nothing additional needed- exactly what I explained over the phone. I went forward with the service because even if I didn't I would owe $29 for nothing, then have to wait and pay the other company $50 to end up at the same price in the end. The experience continued to go downhill. Between lack of communication of scheduler to technician, pricing, and an inappropriate comment made to me by the technician (explained to me as a joke) while in my home, I was done with Lee.
I did reach out to them as I felt they needed to know my experience to improve, with no plans other than to let them know why they lost my future business and hopes they don't treat another homeowner the same way.
I talked with a manager, who after a lengthy discussion and explanation that while I believe sometimes paying premium is worth it because you get what you pay for, my experience did not warrant premium pricing or even a second chance. And that while I was happy my battery was replaced, I was not happy with my experience.
At the end of our conversation, he offered to make the situation right and coach the individual and make sure I am taken care of in the future.
For this, I have bumped what I originally considered 2 stars to 4 in hopes the team was just having and off day, as I get some teams have. I will acknowledge that even though the experience from start to finish was lacking customer service, or competitive value that in the end doing the right thing for the customer is telling of the business's character. The manager did more than the right thing this afternoon and went above anything that I expected out of the conversation. So I will hope that the experience is a one off, atypical of normal encounters, as they have explained.
I would recommend Lee based on:
Timeliness
Availability
Scope of work they handle
Caring about their reputation and customer satisfaction and retention
I will caution, if you are concerned about comparing vendors, Lee does require a dispatch fee to quote and earn your business.
If the job is small, be sure to consider that fee isn't applied as a credit to work, it's in addition. They of course do not do any work without consent of pricing so you can decline the work, but will still owe the service fee.
I still think it would be ideal to have a best case worst case scenario so that customers can plan accordingly and schedule a service call they can't afford or is not competitive and then be stuck with a bill for the call. This is why I cannot rate it 5 stars.
It's too unpredictable and the idea that you pay for a bid when there is competition in the marketplace doesn't sit well. Would you pay an entrance fee just to see what the price on milk was at Whole Foods cash Kroger? No, you would be able to compare the two before owing either money and chose which product and experience you preferred to pay for and judge the value accordingly.
