Best HVAC System Repair in Fort Wayne IN
A while back I called A&A Mechanical to service my Generac generator. I called Generac directly as the home I bought this year came with a large generator. I have never had a generator before and didn't know what needed to be done on it. They gave me a list of companies that service their generators near my home, and A&A was a company within my town. I called and scheduled an appointment with them in a few days. What was great was that I found out from them, that they used to service the generator for the old owner of my house.
They came, performed service on the generator and set it up so I get it serviced once a year. Technician was friendly and explained to me how my generator worked, how it would test the system every week, pretty much gave me a lot of useful info. I am very glad I did get it service because two weeks later, my area lost power for an entire day. Seems some squirrel(s) messed around a nearby electrical substation. Immediately my generator kicked in... and it's an amazing generator powered my entire home! I so could have used this when I lived in Miami during hurricane season! If I didn't get it serviced, I would have been without power and I would have lost a stand alone freezer and a refrigerators worth of food... so I saved a lot of money!
If you have a generator, get regular service.... and get it from A&A!
Seems also per the website they also do work in plumbing, heating and A/C... so something to keep in mind too.

Could not of asked for a better experience. These guys are extremely trustworthy and reasonable. They came out and gave an estimate then followed up with completing all of the work, as well as making several recommendations for future opportunities. They came highly recommended and did not disappoint. We will use them for all of our future needs.

A warning alert popped up on our indoor A/C thermostat on June 16th. We called Freedom A/C and they sent a tech out to check it out on Friday, June 17th. He did an outdoor system flush on our unit with our garden hose and some foam cleaning agent he brought. After being outside for 30 minutes and making multiple phone calls outside, he came in the house and wanted to tell my husband and I the bad news. We were low on freon and needed a new capacitor and 4 lbs of freon, which would be about $600. He said we could schedule that work but it would only be a temporary fix due to the leak, and we might be better off just buying a whole new A/C system from them. My husband and I thought about it over the weekend and figured that even leaks can be fixed and the air coming out of our vents was cold and forceful. Our Lennox A/C unit is only 10 yrs old. Many A/C units last anywhere from 16 to 20 years with proper maintenance. The only problem area was in our living room where we have a cathedral 20 foot ceiling and 2 skylights. It had been in the 90s. We called Hartman Brothers A/C out of New Haven, IN bc they were listed under more info on our wall thermostat. They sold the prior homeowner the Lennox A/C unit we have. A technician came out today and confirmed that we DO NOT have a freon leak, that our unit is still fine. Nick, the tech from Hartman Brothers said in higher temps a cathedral ceiling room with 2 skylights is not going to remain ice cold. Our unit only needed a good cleaning, a new filter ( which we are ordering on Amazon), and some register boosters, which you put on floor vents to push the cold air up with little fans built inside the register booster. Nick said we can order them on Amazon too. Now we only owe a service visit to the honest company, Hartman Brothers, which we will be using from here on out. Second opinions before buying a whole new A/C system are a good idea.

They will not stand behind their work at all. I tried to have them fix something that failed 20 months after instal and was told to upgrade for an additional 2K. No class at all. Just out for themselves and could care less about the long term of there products or work. I really thought the Owner Mike Van would have been able to help me but was very very wrong. After sever calls I end up empty handed and they even sent me a bill to come check out the fan motor they installed that failed. 100% bullshit! DO NOT TRUST VANS!

Well it was a cold snowy sat morning when the furnace decided to quit. Flow-Tech was the only company I could find that had the part available on a saturday. They knew they could gouge me just because conditions were bad. Price they charged me was 2x's normal cost of the part. The guy tried to justify it by saying he could not separate the cost of labor and material in their system so if I wanted just the part, I had to pay for their labor for me to install the part. He would have wanted another $400 to come out and fix it on a saturday. Can Yelp come up with a grading system that has negative stars, I would use it here.

Do NOT trust this company. My family could have died from carbon monoxide poisoning due to Fire & Ice's negligence. CO2 levels were 3x the limit.
We had a system malfunction with our Bryant furnace. Problems for over a year. Their technician came out 3 times in the last month or two. First visit he said there no was issue and did a dye test on second visit. Third visit he claimed to have fixed the issue. The furnace continued to malfunction and shut off. Called another hvac company and their tech diagnosed the issue in 5-10 minutes. We found out the furnace is too dangerous for us to even run! CO2 was not being vented and levels were 3x the allowed limit.. turns out the Bryant furnace model had class action law suits against because of defective parts.. Our new tech was aware of the issues with the furnace model and had a pamphlet about this. He was shocked the Fire & Ice tech was unable to find the problem especially after so many visits.
We wasted hundreds of dollars with this company only to risk our families safety.
