Had toilet leak from 2nd floor to down stairs.  Figured it was Wax Seal but wanted to make sure it wasn't more than that.  Service person came in time and started working on it after confirming it was that.  Price looked a little steep but I figured I already paid through diagnostic charge after 30 second free assessment.  Well in middle of work, I was notified of scope increase by about $400 for having to work on flange.  Which sounded a little too much (maybe someone in business can let me know if I am wrong other than from BHI...)
So the repair is done and Voila! No leak after a little over $600.  I figure I got charged about $125 an hour.  (oh, I know how much the parts cost on this... practically insignificant).
Over all, it was not a bad experience until... yup... when there is problem.
Fast forward a day, and as I walk on down stairs... I get drip on my head.  Different location from where water leak was.  I go up to figure out what is going on to find that bathroom is semi flooded which is the cause of new leak.  I try to find where the leak is coming from and it is leaking from the water tank of toilet.  Upon opening I see basically water slowly over filling and leaking out through handle.  Upon closer inspection I see that the float was rotated in such manner that it barely touched wall where it got stuck at one point.   I remedy the situation by rotating float so it won't touch the wall ever.  I am pretty confident this happened when the service person was reconnecting toilet after repairs probably putting more torque than necessary.
So, I just got service person show up and talked to him in turn which he talked to manager.  First answer, $250 to replace valve and also water line valve.  Excuse me?  That was not the problem with the flooding?!
I basically tell him that I am not interested and get him going and the manager calls.  Saying he will replace valve for free and would like to replace water line valve for charge to do me right.  I tell him the real issue here is water leak caused by this damage.  Which he ignores and puts blame on perfectly fine valve (Yup of course it has been working fine since I rotated it to where it should have been 2 days ago).
Good company is found when things goes wrong how they handle it.  I will give it one extra star to make it 2, as they sounds professional if not owning up to what happened.   Too bad I had to leave review like this when it could have easily been 5 star for doing something about actual problem not skirting around and trying to eek out more money from unhappy customer.

Mike was amazing! I originally thought I had one problem and Mike offered his expertise advice and the work was done impeccably. He is very responsive and professional. Is honest and offered tips not just about my garbage disposal and dishwasher issue but just drains and HVAC in general. NexGen is such a great company. They were the ones who installed my AC four years ago. Unfortunately, an electronic part went out, and I had no cooling starting yesterday. (How do these things know that a heat wave is starting?) I called NexGen yesterday afternoon, and they had me on the schedule for this evening. Jose gave me a call to tell me he was on his way, and he arrived when he said he would. My AC is on my roof, and Jose went up there, determined what was wrong, and had the necessary parts to fix it. One part was under warranty, the other part was a compressor saver, which helps the compressor start up quickly, and saves on the energy bill. The work was finished quickly, and my house is cooling down beautifully. As always, their techs are friendly and efficient. Thank you, Jose.

I can't say enough good things about this company!!!  I wanted to have an earthquake gas shut-off valve installed on my home.  I looked around at various places and decided to try this company since I was impressed with the reviews on here and because I prefer not to give my business to the big guys.  John was very friendly and clearly explained everything.  He was done in 45 minutes and relit all of my gas appliances.  Their prices are EXTREMELY reasonable.  They are way cheaper than the competition.  He also cleaned up around the gas meter.  I highly recommend this company.  They will not disappoint!!

Jacob removed my old water heater and installed a new one at a fair price. He is a professional and did a first class job. His arrival was punctual. He has excellent communication skills and kept  me informed as the work progressed. I would hire Coast Plumbing again.

I've used County Wide Plumbing in the past and they were ok.  This time we called them out for a stopped shower drain.  Nick could not get it -- blamed the Y in the pipe because the snake kept going up the air vent, not down to the clog - he claimed.  Said person who remodeled 8 yrs. ago did it wrong (though they did NOT change the pipes when remodeled!)   Said next step was to tear into the wall to get to the pipe, but recommended using Liquid Plumber first.  Charged $169.95 for his hour of trying, less the 20% discount since we had a coupon.  We then called Jim at Plumbers Rooter Co. who I had intended for my husband to call first -- he came out and had the drain clear in FIVE MINUTES!  He called County Wide and explained the situation and exactly what he did, what snake he used, and they refused any refund or discount.  When I called and told them to take my address off their mailing list because I would not use them again, they said That's not very nice and that the other plumber just got lucky.  Well even if he was just lucky -- I'll take my chances with the lucky plumber and not waste money on the other guy!
