Actually the second time I've had them out (2 separate issues) -- both times they were prompt, polite, cleaned up so nicely, great work and reasonably priced.

I called Nelson Brothers this morning because a pipe had burst in the basement due to the cold weather. I called when they first opened (8am) and the man who picked up said they would send someone out that afternoon.
The tech came out later that afternoon as promised and fixed the broken pipe in about 45 minutes. He was very polite and answered any questions I had.
The price was reasonable and it looks like I have a new go to spot for my plumbing needs.

On 7/2/13. Don from Mitch the plumber came out to fix a leak. It was at a difficult area. The city of Ann Arbor had to be called out to shut off the water. This plumbing company has a very good relationship with the city, a very nice city worker came right out to accommodate us. This was very helpful. As soon as the water was shut off Don fixed the problem for Me, at a very reasonable price and the time to fix it was also very fair. I most definitely will call these folks again. Thanks, Don. After reading all the reviews, I decided that Allied would be a good choice to deal with my backed up main drain. Steve answered my request for a quote within minutes and we set up the appointment for the next day. He was prompt (arrived 2 minutes early, actually) and had the drain clear within 30 minutes. He had great advice for how to avoid issues moving forward. I have already set a reminder on my phone to call him again a year from now to have it cleared again! Thank you again, Steve (and son) for your help today.

We are new to the area and wanted to keep it local. Dixie plumbing had great response time and was on time less than 24 hours later. Wore a mask, was professional and had everything fixed in a matter of less than 15 minutes. Pricing was reasonable and I will call them again should I have any other issues.

I have been buying properties for 17 years and Michael accomplished what few other plumbers will even attempt. he was referred to me from a friend in common and went and looked at my clogged drain the same day. I had six inches of water in the basement AND my stairs to the basement collapsed from the previous plumber who attempted it and broke them with his heavy equipment. Mike went the same day, got his equipment down there and worked on the drain until he got it freed up. excellent communication. great pricing and incredible service. thanks Mike. I appreciate the excellent service.

I called on Sunday nite, Micheal pick up took my info and said there is diagnostic
/service fee of $39.95. He said the person doing the estimate will call between 10a-12p for the next day. I was waiting for the call but I never receive one by noon so called again. Michael said he would call me back since he needed to contact the plumber on his eta. A few minutes pass by then I get a call saying he is running late by 30 minutes. I rush home to get thing ready. Just to find out that it was later then expected and the plumber called saying on what street he was on. The van was not marked and Brandon politely introduce himself. I showed him where the rusted out sewage pipe is leaking from that need replacing. He wanted to see the upstairs bathroom and attic space to figure out an accurate estimate to give. I had to remove a couple stuff in the attic since he wanted to see and he offered to help.He wasn't able to see still because the paneling in the attic. Through out this Brandon was very talkative. 15 minutes to look over plumbing. Took about 45 min to get it written out since he gave three estimates and said he would give me a deal. All in all it was informative but the pipe I need replace was in a tight spot and he mention that they weren't responsible if something else gets damaged. I was like mmm. So I paid the diagnostic fee.

I put a pin hole in a gas line to our dryer (it had a separate shutoff valve, so it wasn't an emergency).. I called and talked to Doug, and he said he'd have Kyle out first thing the next morning. He was on time, with the part he needed to fix it, and 30 minutes later he was finished. Great service and extremely friendly. Would highly recommend! Thanks!

I had an incident last summer where my air wouldn't kick on. I could not figure out why, so I called Birmingham Plumbing Heating and Cooling. I spoke with Andrea and she was the sweetest most understanding person to deal with at a moment of panic, seeing that it was super hot outside. She scheduled someone to come out to me the next day. Come to find out, my cable guy, which I had new cable installed the week prior too, accidentally snipped a wire that caused the furnace and my air conditioning to go out. They were able to fix the wire and my home was back in business! I am so glad that the company was quick and efficient. Thank you Andrea for all that you did for me that day!! They even called me a few months after to make sure everything was still running smoothly.

The short story is DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY. The long story is as follows.
In mid-March, I noticed a leak in one of my bathrooms as well as an issue with the hot water in a different bathroom. After trying a few things myself, I was pressed for time and contacted Anytime Plumbing to come to my house in Southfield. My technician was John G and he seemed to be a pretty nice guy, although I questioned his assessments.
He started with the hot water issue in the back bathroom. The shower would get warm-ish at best. There would be one burst of hot water and then showering would be absolutely miserable.
John decided that a part had gone bad inside the on-off/warm-cold handle in my shower. He didn't have the part, so he went somewhere to get it, came back, and installed it. No hot water. His assessment was that I needed a new hot water heater because my current hot water heater runs out of water fast. That's a quote from my receipt. I had an instant hot water heater. There was no reservoir full of water to run out. Still, I agreed that the water heater was failing. My belief all along was that the water heater needed replacing, but John wanted to try this other part. He tried and it didn't work. That happens sometimes, so we went to the next issue.
Moving on to the leaking bathroom. John came in and decided he knew the leak was coming from a knob on my old jacuzzi tub that controlled the jets. Now, this knob was located in an area that was hit by water when both the bath spout and the shower head were on. However, the leak happened only when the shower head was on. I addressed this concern with John--why would this be the leaking area when two sources of water hit it and only one led to leaking? His idea was that the water pressure was harder from the shower head than from the spout. I disagreed, but I let him do his thing because he's the plumber and I'm not. Anyway, based on the location of the knob, he had to cut a hole in the bedroom wall on the other side of the tub for access. Not a big deal to me. He needed to be able to visualize the plumbing. So he started chiseling at my wall and then decided he didn't like that location. Then he measured the area he wanted to cut and marked it all out with a pencil (I will clean this off the wall when I'm done, he said). He cut a 7x7 hole in my wall and believed he identified the leak. He put some lock-tight around the knob, slapped an access panel in the hole, and called the job complete. We couldn't confirm the leak was resolved for 24 hours because it needed time to set.
Guess what the charge was--$425. Yup, I paid $425 to have a new access panel cut into my wall, a $95 part replaced that didn't need replacing, and some lock-tight squeezed around a knob. Not to mention the access panel wall also had a nice quarter-sized hole randomly in the middle where he initially started chiseling as well as pencil marks everywhere like a toddler had been playing. John G never did clean it off as he said he would and now I have drywall work to do. I also paid for the part for the shower that I didn't need and the time it took him to go get the part [that I didn't need]. Had I known I'd be paying for the part even if it didn't work OR the time it took him to drive and get it, I never would have let him do it. When I inspected the shower as he left, the part was actually installed incorrectly--so you couldn't even adjust the heat to the hotter setting! It was on the coldest setting when he tested to see if the new part brought hotter water! Worse yet, the leak continued 24 hours later when I tested it. John G did say I could call and have him come back if it continued to leak, but there was no way I was letting him back into my house. So, for $425 to address a leak and cold water, I was left with a leak and cold water.
On a positive note, John G did quote me $1,100 for a new hot water heater installation. That's a fair price. Still, $425 is nearly half that and this company was not getting any further business from me. They shouldn't get yours either.

I've used these guys several times. While nobody likes the added expense of needing a plumber, I've found them to be fair and honest. At least 3 different guys have been sent to our house - all have been competent, courteous, timely, and helpful. I highly recommend them.

Worst service ever! Over priced! Racist!
I had them come out to check an issue. They practically force me into service, charged $320 just for trying to fix the problem. (NO THEY DID NOT FIX THE PROBLEM) Once, Blake, the plumber seen I didn't have cash to pay him (the money was on my card) he started tripping and saying You black mfs trying to play me like I wasn't getting my card to pay him! It was very uncalled for! I felt very disrespected! I have a recording of his disrespect and everything. Very racist company!

Will never use them again. Sat here all morning waiting for an appointment to show. When I called, they said sorry, we will have to re-schedule. Never let me know they weren't coming. Now they can't come for 45 days.

I wish I could give zero stars.
These people were subcontracted by the project manager. He tells me that he will never subcontract to them again.
Where to start? Was it..
--the damaged floor?
--the burnt cabinet?
--the inability to recognize which way water flows?
--the inability to identify the main water shut-off valve?
--the damage to a valve unrelated to the job at hand?
--the helpful removal of spare parts without my permission?
--the mess left behind?
There are so many things that went wrong that were caused by this company that I heartily recommend that you never, ever, ever use them for any job. If you find out that a contractor has subbed a job to them, refer the contractor to me and I will be happy to provide pictures and descriptions of the damage they caused.

The Search For Heat The Saga Continues.
This is a true story and is my opinion.
On Friday December 20th our furnace broke down. We called Reliance to have a technician come out to fix it. A technician came out and told us that it was a circuit board and that he would order the part but that it would not arrive until December 24th. The box did arrive on the 24th and we called to have the technician come out. He arrived that day and spent some time attempting to fix the furnace after making a lot of noise. He came upstairs and informed us that the part they had sent was the wrong part it was a blower motor and not a circuit board and that he had damaged our blower trying to put in the new one after realized it was the wrong blower motor. My thought was, you didn't realize the difference. He said he would have to order another circuit board and that we would get a free blower motor because of the damage to the original, which was in good condition to start, but that he could not order them until Friday Dec 27th and that they would arrive on
Dec 30th. So more days of cold without a furnace. On Dec 30th the circuit board arrived but guess what, no blower motor, so now the motor has to be ordered and it will most likely not arrive until Jan 3rd. That means we will have been without a furnace for 2 weeks. We called
reliance to speak to a supervisor and was told by the supervisor to call again tomorrow because the parts depot is closed, sorry for the inconvenience. Inconvenience are you kidding, being without heat for two weeks is more than just an inconvenience. We have had to purchase electric heaters and run them constantly. My wife has a medical condition that is adverse to cold and my 12 year old granddaughter lives with us as well. This whole situation is unacceptable and should never have happened. I think Reliance needs to change their name.
