Best Gas Furnace Installation in Detroit MI
I have used this company several times for the rentals I manage...however, this year I have noticed their prices have increased SUBSTANTIALLY. I just had a garbage disposal replaced (Badger 5 InSinkErator) and it cost me $595! The disposal itself is priced online with a high price of $139 and a low price of $109. $600, including the Badger 5 disposal, seems incredibly high to me. Many of us users are at a disadvantage because we are unable to do the work ourselves. I was shocked!
Other than the increased prices I'm seeing, Cregger is a good plumbing company; they have always been on time and reliable and they do good work. Pricing is the only reason I gave a 4 star review. I'm sorry to see these large increases in pricing.

I have called this business twice to get work done. They are definitely my go to! They suggested 2 brands for new faucets, both come with a guarantee and free replacement parts! A leak was repaired, as well as a kitchen flood! They provided me with the requested paperwork for my insurance company, quickly.
Their work is effective & efficient. They were also a little flexible with my work schedule. I still need a quote to replace my sink, but the work they did was great!

I cannot say enough great things about Kip and Good Helpers Heating and Cooling!!!
My heat went out right before Christmas. I had 3 different repairmen over; all of them thought they had it figured out...only to have my house be cold three days later. I was at my wit's end and was venting about it, and a friend referred me to Kip. Needless to say, I was frustrated and tired of getting the run around when it came to my furnace. Kip offered to come over and look at it for me. He was beyond polite and professional, diagnosed the issue right away, AND fixed my furnace! He even called back the next day to make sure it was working. I would recommend Kip and Good Helpers to anyone looking for quality work at a fair price!

I initially contacted Warkentin as I wanted to install a sump pump. They came out and quoted a price and although they weren't the cheapest, they came highly recommended. After I gave them the go ahead to do the job, I decided to waterproof my entire basement. As this is out of their realm, they recommended a few places to me and also advised me to ask if they still installed the sump pump afterwards would it affect the waterproofing warranty...which it would. Thanks to this piece of advice from Dawn.
Dawn recommended that I have the same company install the sump pump, which I ended up doing.
Flash forward a couple of months and I had decided to remove a tub and replace it with a shower. This would require changing the plumbing and setting a shower base. I contacted Warkentin specifically based on Dawns integrity with my previous issue. Her team came out and ran pipes and move the floor drain. As the shower walls were not yet installed, their plumber said he'd come back to set everything to the proper depth and ensure they were aligned properly. Once the walls and tiling were up, I contacted Dawn and she sent someone the following day.
Very happy with their professionalism, integrity and efficiency.
Would have no hesitation in recommending them.

We bought a house with an existing A/C system originally installed by Lakeside Service, which was 7 years old. The A/C system had a 5 year warranty, but essentially died at 7 years old. After having Lakeside out to see if they could fix it, it was determined it needed to be replaced. A Lakeside Service representative gave us an estimate of approximately $2500 more than the original entire install cost 7 years ago. Now this seems crazy, especially considering they could re-use some of the existing supports and the labor should've been reduced, but what do I know. When asked if there was a discount for replacing THEIR installed system that died in 7 years, they offered to take off $300. So we are looking at ~$5200 to replace their failed system. I called another company, which promptly came out and offered to replace it with a better, more expensive system than Lakeside was going to use, and offered it at an installed price of $1200 less than Lakeside's reduced price and also has a 10 yr guarantee on the unit and lifetime on the install.
I suggest getting a second look at any expensive work they offer.

I am disgusted as to how much I spent. My issue turned into a nightmare. I called them because a friend recommended them to me but I felt like I was totally taken advantage of. They made more money off of me for a simple fix than some people make in a month! It's disgusting I get it...everyone deserves to get paid but charging what they charged -double is awful. What a way to take advantage of the community they service. No responsibility taken for their job! What happened to customer service?!

asked for a quote in an email to avoid service call charge and asked them to email me price. They emailed me a reasonable price quickly and were out in a couple of days to fix a leaky shower drain. They found it didn't need replacing, just re sealing and tightening. Charged much less than the quoted job. To do the quoted job they wanted $250, 2 other plumbers quoted me $400. First plumber I have ever used that I would call again

It saddens me to be giving this company a 2-star rating. This was my experience.
I needed an electrician to remove a wall fan, venting my kitchen to the outside. I yelped an electrician, and got 5 added quotes from Yelp. Darin, the owner of Burton HVAC, was the very first response, and he gave me a low-ball quote of $85 fixed rate.
Well, they weren't rated on yelp, and had zero reviews. Their page said they had been in business for 19 years, and had electricians on staff, among others, so I decided to try googling the company to see if I could find anything else out about them. They had 5 5-star ratings on google. This being said, I assumed they were trying to increase their presence on yelp, by taking a loss on a few projects in order to get some 5-star reviews here. So, I decided to give them a try.
I called the number given in Darin's response, only to be met with Hello. It took me aback, and I had to ask twice if I was reaching Burton HVAC. I was, and Darin said he could come straight over! Unfortunately, it was a Wednesday or Thursday when I called, and I told him I would not be available until the following week. He could choose his date and time to visit, but it couldn't be Monday. Darin told me Tuesday at 1pm would work for him, so I put his visit on my calendar. He also asked me to text him my name, address, and the time and date of the appointment so he could add it to his calendar later.
On Monday, I received an invoice via text for the services he was going to provide. I've never been billed before meeting the service provider before. And on Tuesday at 11:47am, I received a text message saying that my appointment at 1pm was 'coming up'.
At 1pm, my son took our dog and left the house for an hour trying to get him out of the way during the service call. No one had arrived at that point. At 2pm, my son came home from lunch with our dog, and was surprised to see the fan still in the wall. I had not received a phone call or any communication from Burton HVAC at this point.
I texted Darin and said Weren't you supposed to be at my house at 1pm today? His response was Yes I was sending a technician your way and he should have been there at 1:00, let me see what's going on.
Darin called me 10 minutes later to tell me his technician was working on a job that was running over, and he still needed to do another job after that before he could see me! He then stated that he would just come over himself to do the work. I said that would be fine, and then he told me that it would be another 2 to 4 hours before he could make it to my house. I clarified with him that it meant he would be arriving at my house sometime between 4pm and 6pm. Darin then asked if I would like to be kept in the loop, and I told him Yes! Please let me know what is going on.
Well, 4pm came and went, 5pm came and went, and 6pm came and went, and STILL no contact from Darin or anyone at Burton HVAC.
At 6:24pm Darin texted. It read Okay if it's not too late I'll be heading your way. That will put me there at about 7:30
My husband was home, and was definitely not happy with the way things were going, but at that point I just wanted the work done. I was not confident that the guy would be able to be on time on any other day, and I didn't want to waste another 7 or 8 hours waiting again, so I told him We'll be here. And he responded with On my way!
Well, as you can guess, 7:30pm came and went without word from Darin. At 8:04pm, Darin texted I'm about 5 minutes away. He arrived by about 8:15pm... for a 1pm appointment.
Darin and his co-worker were very nice. They were obviously having a long day, but still trying to do the best job they could. I realized after they arrived that (I'm 99.9% sure) neither one of them were electricians.
They worked really hard to remove the fan from the wall of my house. It was in there good. Then, they just cut and capped the live electrical wires and dropped them in the wall of my house! An electrician would have known that doing that is a violation of building codes. My husband knew it, but at the time, I did not.
Anyway, the two gentlemen both worked hard while at my house. The fan is removed. They even put a towel in the hole and taped a bag over the opening to keep bugs, etc. out until we can have the gap sealed properly.
After they left, I returned a microwave cart to the area below the fan, and plugged it into the electrical receptacle there. After their visit, there is now no power to that receptacle. We now need to have another electrician come out to properly remove the electrical wires in the wall and fix the outlet for our microwave.
I feel Darin bit off more than he could chew with my job. He needed to send an electrician & if one wasn't available, he should have rescheduled. Or perhaps he should have never quoted my job in the first place.

Despite the T&G response to my recent review, the tech provided only one option, i.e. $560 for 45 minutes of work. Considering the price paid, I have to believe the profit margin was substantially greater than the 10% figure referenced by the manager. The $89 service call price is only a teaser !

I wrote a bad review a few days ago regarding my overcharge quote for a Kohler kitchen faucet. Well, today I received a call from the General Manager, Marcus, and what a very pleasant surprise. He read the review and checked into the price and agreed it was high. With further checking with the tech, he realized that he quoted us the wrong brand of faucet. And for our trouble, he is refunding the monies we paid for the service call. He explained the problem and apologized for the error. This means a lot to me and has renewed my faith in Hoover Electric. To take the trouble to make a phone call to me and then offer me a refund, shows they care about their customers and reputation. I thank them and will give them another chance. Kathy Spanos

Gill's installed a carrier furnace for me and the secondary heat exchanger went out on us. The company had issues with this furnace and had made an enhanced warranty for it. After DTE found the issue I called Gill's to have the issue corrected since he was the one that installed it.Carrier's warranty covers the part plus labor but Jim the owner told me carrier does not pay enough for him to fix it and wanted an additional 800 for labor and the part was covered by carrier company.Carrier recommend Expert heating and cooling to do job with not cost to me. Way to look out for a long time customer Jim, left me with no heat and basically told me to bite it and find someone else willing to do the job.I will never use this company again. lesson leanered ,use a company that stands behind what they sell.

If I could give this company a negative rating I would. My mom ordered a generator from Lowe's last fall. Lowe's contracted Oak Electric out of Waterford, MI to perform the install. The entire process has been a nightmare.
Outside of the multiple issues of failing to schedule the install and my mom constantly having to call to check on the status here are where things stand:
Oak Electric sent a representative no less than 2 times to assess the property for the install. When the install day finally arrived the crew informed my mother that a junction box would be required in order for the install to pass inspection but that they would be unable to do the install that day and would need to send someone else to quote the job. They proceeded with the install anyhow. During installation the crew caused damage to ceiling tiles in the basement and bent a metal fence post in order to run the pipe from the house to the generator. They never informed anyone about the bent fence and my mother was unaware until her dog escaped the yard and was almost hit by a car. Since it was raining that day they were unable to paint the raw metal pipe and said they would return to finish. They still have not.
Regarding the additional work for a junction box, they quoted her almost $900 for the work. Now I'm no electrician but this seems beyond excessive. Nevertheless my mother put down a $300 deposit for the work so that it could pass inspection.
This install was on April 29th, 2022. It is now August 2nd. The damage has not been repaired, the pipe has not been painted, the junction box has not been installed yet Oak Electric continues to invoice her for the full amount of the quote.
Both myself and she have attempted to contact Oak Electric as well as Lowe's over the course of these few months and have had little to no response. When they do respond they just say they will call back but they never do. Oak Electric finally sent a representative (Jeremy) to her house today in which he denied that the install crew did any damage and threatened to put a lien on her house for her unpaid invoice. He was aggressive and threatening. Again, that unpaid invoice is for work that has yet to be completed or even scheduled. Everything else has been paid for. They are also denying they ever received a deposit from her.
The company is extremely rude and unethical. At this point my mom wants her $300 deposit back and wants to remove them as the servicer of her generator but Oak Electric is becoming extremely combative. Stay away from this company.

Terrible customer service. Our rental water heater broke, leaked all over floor, ruining floor, and they say they can't come until Friday. Today is Saturday, one week with no hot water? They seem to think nothing wrong with this. We went and bought a tank at Lowes and had it installed same day. $1000 and done. We pay between 50 and 60 dollars every 3 months to rent, times 20 years. Lots of money to get no service when you need it. Can't wait to call them to cancel except customer service department is closed today, go figure. Oh yeah, now we need a new floor too. Thanks Reliance, for nothing!
