Best Flame Sensor Repair in Detroit MI
Great Service, well priced, & I love the fact that they are the local small time operation.

Very fast, very neat, and professional.
It was raining quite hard the day they came to my place for a service visit, and I certainly appreciated the fact that they laid down a walkway of tarps so as not to destroy the carpet with muddy footprints as they traveled back and forth from the bathroom to their truck.
They were nice guys; courteous, and all business - they did the work, and got out of there as quickly as possible.
I'd use this guys again in a minute. They're like plumbing heroes.

I cannot say enough great things about Kip and Good Helpers Heating and Cooling!!!
My heat went out right before Christmas. I had 3 different repairmen over; all of them thought they had it figured out...only to have my house be cold three days later. I was at my wit's end and was venting about it, and a friend referred me to Kip. Needless to say, I was frustrated and tired of getting the run around when it came to my furnace. Kip offered to come over and look at it for me. He was beyond polite and professional, diagnosed the issue right away, AND fixed my furnace! He even called back the next day to make sure it was working. I would recommend Kip and Good Helpers to anyone looking for quality work at a fair price!

I initially contacted Warkentin as I wanted to install a sump pump. They came out and quoted a price and although they weren't the cheapest, they came highly recommended. After I gave them the go ahead to do the job, I decided to waterproof my entire basement. As this is out of their realm, they recommended a few places to me and also advised me to ask if they still installed the sump pump afterwards would it affect the waterproofing warranty...which it would. Thanks to this piece of advice from Dawn.
Dawn recommended that I have the same company install the sump pump, which I ended up doing.
Flash forward a couple of months and I had decided to remove a tub and replace it with a shower. This would require changing the plumbing and setting a shower base. I contacted Warkentin specifically based on Dawns integrity with my previous issue. Her team came out and ran pipes and move the floor drain. As the shower walls were not yet installed, their plumber said he'd come back to set everything to the proper depth and ensure they were aligned properly. Once the walls and tiling were up, I contacted Dawn and she sent someone the following day.
Very happy with their professionalism, integrity and efficiency.
Would have no hesitation in recommending them.

I had an issue with no Power and my sump pump went out. I called BIrmingham Plumbing and they were there in 30 minutes and dealt with the issue in a total professional fashion and save my home from water damage. Since that date I only use them.

It saddens me to be giving this company a 2-star rating. This was my experience.
I needed an electrician to remove a wall fan, venting my kitchen to the outside. I yelped an electrician, and got 5 added quotes from Yelp. Darin, the owner of Burton HVAC, was the very first response, and he gave me a low-ball quote of $85 fixed rate.
Well, they weren't rated on yelp, and had zero reviews. Their page said they had been in business for 19 years, and had electricians on staff, among others, so I decided to try googling the company to see if I could find anything else out about them. They had 5 5-star ratings on google. This being said, I assumed they were trying to increase their presence on yelp, by taking a loss on a few projects in order to get some 5-star reviews here. So, I decided to give them a try.
I called the number given in Darin's response, only to be met with Hello. It took me aback, and I had to ask twice if I was reaching Burton HVAC. I was, and Darin said he could come straight over! Unfortunately, it was a Wednesday or Thursday when I called, and I told him I would not be available until the following week. He could choose his date and time to visit, but it couldn't be Monday. Darin told me Tuesday at 1pm would work for him, so I put his visit on my calendar. He also asked me to text him my name, address, and the time and date of the appointment so he could add it to his calendar later.
On Monday, I received an invoice via text for the services he was going to provide. I've never been billed before meeting the service provider before. And on Tuesday at 11:47am, I received a text message saying that my appointment at 1pm was 'coming up'.
At 1pm, my son took our dog and left the house for an hour trying to get him out of the way during the service call. No one had arrived at that point. At 2pm, my son came home from lunch with our dog, and was surprised to see the fan still in the wall. I had not received a phone call or any communication from Burton HVAC at this point.
I texted Darin and said Weren't you supposed to be at my house at 1pm today? His response was Yes I was sending a technician your way and he should have been there at 1:00, let me see what's going on.
Darin called me 10 minutes later to tell me his technician was working on a job that was running over, and he still needed to do another job after that before he could see me! He then stated that he would just come over himself to do the work. I said that would be fine, and then he told me that it would be another 2 to 4 hours before he could make it to my house. I clarified with him that it meant he would be arriving at my house sometime between 4pm and 6pm. Darin then asked if I would like to be kept in the loop, and I told him Yes! Please let me know what is going on.
Well, 4pm came and went, 5pm came and went, and 6pm came and went, and STILL no contact from Darin or anyone at Burton HVAC.
At 6:24pm Darin texted. It read Okay if it's not too late I'll be heading your way. That will put me there at about 7:30
My husband was home, and was definitely not happy with the way things were going, but at that point I just wanted the work done. I was not confident that the guy would be able to be on time on any other day, and I didn't want to waste another 7 or 8 hours waiting again, so I told him We'll be here. And he responded with On my way!
Well, as you can guess, 7:30pm came and went without word from Darin. At 8:04pm, Darin texted I'm about 5 minutes away. He arrived by about 8:15pm... for a 1pm appointment.
Darin and his co-worker were very nice. They were obviously having a long day, but still trying to do the best job they could. I realized after they arrived that (I'm 99.9% sure) neither one of them were electricians.
They worked really hard to remove the fan from the wall of my house. It was in there good. Then, they just cut and capped the live electrical wires and dropped them in the wall of my house! An electrician would have known that doing that is a violation of building codes. My husband knew it, but at the time, I did not.
Anyway, the two gentlemen both worked hard while at my house. The fan is removed. They even put a towel in the hole and taped a bag over the opening to keep bugs, etc. out until we can have the gap sealed properly.
After they left, I returned a microwave cart to the area below the fan, and plugged it into the electrical receptacle there. After their visit, there is now no power to that receptacle. We now need to have another electrician come out to properly remove the electrical wires in the wall and fix the outlet for our microwave.
I feel Darin bit off more than he could chew with my job. He needed to send an electrician & if one wasn't available, he should have rescheduled. Or perhaps he should have never quoted my job in the first place.

Wish I had seen these Yelp reviews before I called Thornton and Grooms. The Google reviews were all raving. Figures since Google is the one who has teamed up with this company to pitch them to search customers. The customer contact was very pleasant and the technician arrived to the house the same day, more than an hour later than expected but that wasn't a big deal. The big deal was getting a quote that well over 1k for a faucet replacement. Give me a break. They must think they have people so over a barrel with leaks that they'll pay anything to get it fixed on the spot. Wrong. I'll go back to others who I've used in the past and give fair estimates instead of gouging.

I wish I could give zero stars.
These people were subcontracted by the project manager. He tells me that he will never subcontract to them again.
Where to start? Was it..
--the damaged floor?
--the burnt cabinet?
--the inability to recognize which way water flows?
--the inability to identify the main water shut-off valve?
--the damage to a valve unrelated to the job at hand?
--the helpful removal of spare parts without my permission?
--the mess left behind?
There are so many things that went wrong that were caused by this company that I heartily recommend that you never, ever, ever use them for any job. If you find out that a contractor has subbed a job to them, refer the contractor to me and I will be happy to provide pictures and descriptions of the damage they caused.

Gill Plumbing was able to get me out of a bind today. I had my LG washer and Gas dryer delivered today but wasn't able to uncap the gas line to hook up the dryer :^(.
I called numerous other 'Name Brand' plumbing business' but all were unable to come for at least a week. That wouldn't do... One call to Gill and the dispatcher said they would be able to come out this afternoon! He arrived on time and was able to complete all of the work (uncap dryer gas line and install shutoff valve then hook up dryer.. uncap stove gas line and install shutoff valve, recap and check all for leaks) in a timely manner at one low cost. I am very pleased with Gill Plumbing & heating and will definitely use them in the future.

We started working with this company back in Sept 2021 to have them install a whole house generator. They do not return calls and emails and have dropped the ball continuously during this process. Our work order was apparently taken over by the head of this office who apologized and was to personally oversee our case. May 9, 2022 installation date had to be canceled by them bc they didn't submit for the permits in time. No surprise. You're just another number here. Would not suggest this company due to very poor customer service.
Update 5-18-22
Our generator was finally installed 5-17-22. The technicians were on time, polite and very efficient.
The had us pay them via credit card while they weee here and we filled out and signed the Costco paperwork to get our rebate from them.
The next day we received emails from Oak Elec asking for us to electronically sign the paperwork for the Costco rebate and to electronically sign a quote that showed that we still owed a balance of over 13K. Mind you we already signed that quote electronically at the beginning of this process. Within this email it commented that all of this paperwork would be sent to Costco upon receipt of payment. Also within that email it stated that they wanted to know if we would confirm June 13 as a day for the final inspection. I then receive a call from a different person within the office asking if we were okay with June 13 as the date of the final inspection to make sure we were aavailable. I then told her that I'd already replied to the email that asked if that date was okay from a different person. She replied that oh she didn't know because that person didn't tell her. After talking with the first person that sent the emails I questioned her about having to sign a quote that still showed that we owed a balance and she insisted we had to sign that paperwork in order to get the Costco rebate. When I told her I was reluctant to sign something that said we still owed money she replied well fine then you won't receive your Costco money! I was also told that even though we signed the original quote in the beginning via Doc you sign that it was too much time and trouble to go back into their system and try to find it and it would delay our Costco funds by many days. It's been a very frustrating experience with this company.

Terrible customer service. Our rental water heater broke, leaked all over floor, ruining floor, and they say they can't come until Friday. Today is Saturday, one week with no hot water? They seem to think nothing wrong with this. We went and bought a tank at Lowes and had it installed same day. $1000 and done. We pay between 50 and 60 dollars every 3 months to rent, times 20 years. Lots of money to get no service when you need it. Can't wait to call them to cancel except customer service department is closed today, go figure. Oh yeah, now we need a new floor too. Thanks Reliance, for nothing!
