Best Leak Detection in Albuquerque NM
These guys are great. I have had them out 3 times. The first guy was a bit cranky, so I thought that it might effect the quality, but I was wrong. He had solid work, worked at a fair pace. The second guy was even better! He was super knowledgable, methodical and did not waste one bit of material. Very clean job. And it was a difficult job (triple sinks, water heater and water filter). Most of all, the management was outstanding. We ran into some hiccups with materials, but these guys were on it. Quick to make it right and straight-forward. I always judge companies by how they handle the difficult situations. These guys nailed it! I'll recommend and be back!

I had a plumbing emergency Thursday nite, both toilets were not working, and water pouring out from floor gasket under toilet. Of course it happened at night when I had company staying. I was able to turn off the main water, but we had no plumbing! I called Roto Rooter thinking they might have more people. But they did not have anyone available til next afternoon. I'm new to ABQ and don't know any local services, so I went to Yelp and read reviews, and saw reviews on NextDoor. There were great reviews for Louie & Sons Plumbing. I texted and Louie txted me back even though it was very late. They came exactly on time next morning; diagnosed the problem; gave me a great price; and started work right away. They moved several things in my messy yard to get access to the clean-out, then cleared the clogged main line from house to city line (it was over a hundred feet); checked all my lines; and left no mess anywhere. Very nice to do business, very professional, and I am so grateful to have their help. I plan to have some more plumbing work done in the summer and will definitely only call Louie! If you need an honest, reliable, and professional service, I highly recommend Louie & Sons. Plumbing problems are so stressful, and I'm glad to have my house working again!! SunnyC

After Hour Call-Out, Ugh! I hated to make a call after hours but this company was on the beat! They responded with no hesitation. Ron responded with a pleasant attitude and knew right what he was doing. Rightfully so, as a licensed plumber and contractor. Then at the end of the job the bill was not bad at all, even after hours. I highly recommend this company when the pipes need help.

I was extremely lucky to be referred to Eli at ER Water Services when my water wouldn't turn on. Eli came out to our home at 9pm to check our well, and unfortunately our well pump needed to be replaced. That next morning Eli found us a pump and went out of his way to pick everything up, which was over 200 mi round trip. They came back that night and replaced our pump and our water was back up and running by 10 o'clock. Eli mentioned that he comes from 3 generations of water technicians and how fast and efficient they worked proves his credentials. Moreover, they were courteous, kind, and affordable, making a desperate situation easier to handle. I highly recommend ER Water Services for anyone needing fast reliable 24hr services. Thanks so much!

Well didn't think I'd be changing my mind this fast, but the sink is still leaking, albeit much more slowly. I called Rocketman back to see what they could do and they told me they'd charge another $160 to come back out and try again. That seems pretty unfair so I'm going to try somewhere else this time.

Easy to schedule, quick availability. Moses was patient and thorough for a simple garbage disposal fix. Reasonable price. We would definitely call them again for future needs!

They were repeatedly HOSTILE AND THREATENING over misunderstandings. They forgot to turn our gas back on before leaving. (Which was why nothing was lighting, which they were aware of.)
Stay far away.

I called in a non-working furnace on Wednesday 2/28 to my home warranty. Called Ashcraft the next day. Told that the woman who knew how to pull warranty requests was out for the day.
RED FLAG #1. There only one person who knows how to do that?
Technician came over. He immediately told me that home warranty was always a problem and rarely said yes.
RED FLAG #2. Why was he so anti-home warranty?
He looked at the unit. Moved the thermostat back & forth. Furnace never clicked on. He said gas solenoid was bad. I never claimed to be an HVAC tech so good. Furnace bad. He told me on Fri noon that he couldn't turn it into HWA until Mon. It wasn't turned in until Wed.
RED FLAG #3. Why did it take so long? He already said the furnace was no longer made but he was going to look up parts? And it took him until Wednesday afternoon to do that? And I had to call them three times?
They call me to tell me that HWA (Home Warranty of America) has refused the bid. I got mad at HWA and called them. Only to be told that Ashcraft had turned in a bid that included 20 hours of labor. Ashcraft's Ronnie (the supervisor I spoke with) told me the price they quoted was 2200 (give or take a bit.).
RED FLAG #4 The tech REFUSED to give me his quote via voice mail or email. As in didn't want to be able to be proven a liar.
So HWA sent out another company (whom I will be also reviewing glowingly.) That tech LIT THE PILOT LIGHT. That's right, he lit the pilot light. The supposedly bad gas solenoid pushed gas right through and the heater came on. I am now sitting in a warm home after 10 days of being cold. 10 days.
So I called Ronnie at Ashcraft who told me he was there with the tech. I could hear the tech in the background saying, It's a magic chef. I didn't want to work on it. I told Ronnie that he never even tried to light the pilot light. His tech responded It's a Magic Chef. So basically, the Ashcraft tech did not do his job AND tried to rip off my home warranty company.
Ashcraft refused to refund my $75 service fee.
Avoid!

Just found out an elderly woman in desperate need of a stopped up sewer pipe (only bathroom and sink) and a broken air conditioner (90 degree heat) in Albuquerque dealt with the owner. He was two hours late so he could charge the after hour rate. Didn't look at the drain. Didn't fix the air conditioner and charged her $150 for an estimate for a new air conditioner. What a horrible way to take advantage and pressure an elderly woman in need.

Simply the best! I recently bought a home and discovered the home inspectors had passed my evap cooler, which obviously was not working. Which got me worrying about the furnace and the hot water heater they had also OK'd I had used Carlson for years when I lived in ABQ years ago so I immediately called them again. Sean was extremely nice, very competent and totally helpful. He confirmed the cooler was trashed and even provided photos and a detailed description of the problems, along with a quote to replace. He also reassured me the furnace and hot water heater were OK. Now I knew what I had to deal with - and was no longer worried about what else might have been missed. Also have to mention that Cindy in customer service is super helpful and great with follow up. I can't imagine using any other company for my heating, AC or plumbing.

We had a major leak (1 gallon per minute) under our kitchen slab, but we didn't know exactly where it was. American Leak Detectors came and said the leak was under the island, so that had to be removed before the plumber could start jackhammering the concrete. 3 days later and 9 feet from where they said the leak was (guaranteed within 3 feet, my foot!), the plumber finally found it. Before it was found they had to come back out to recheck and got some closer to the actual leak but offered no return of their fee (The your-money-back-or-we'll-come-back-again trade-off. Sweet deal they have!). Buyer beware! They might be okay for wall leaks, but I would use someone else for under-slab leaks. Their misidentification caused major damage to my kitchen that will cost thousands to restore.

I found out that I had a small 6- inch in diameter spot on my carpeting in my rental home that I manage. I contacted a plumber and they dug up on the side of the home but couldn't find where the leak was coming from. I then contacted 3 leak detection companies which was a huge FRUSTRATION! They are all in cahoots with the pricing charging $349 to come out to your home and find your leak.
The 3rd company that I called was this one and I spoke to the owner, Steve Gross. He put the fear of God into me by telling me awful things about the other 2 companies and how his was superb compared to theirs and I would be wasting my money with them. He was very arrogant, not at all friendly and I was afraid that he was right.
He came out the next day with a tech. For starters, he gave me an invoice that he wanted me to sign BEFORE he ever started working for $581!! I argued with him about it and he agreed to reduce to $373 IF it didn't take too long. He had told me that they had all kinds of high tech equipment. It took them 40 minutes using a pressure hose and no high tech equipment to tell me that my leak was from the upstairs bathroom and he showed me in the ceiling where it was. AND, he was DEAD WRONG!! $6000 later and a whole new plumbing system through my home had determined that the leak was a main line and not just a little sink drain or tub drain. When I contacted him back to tell him I was wrong, he was awful, intimidating, no lack of concern.
PLEASE Do not use this company as it is just a big waste of money. Mr. Gross was unfriendly, arrogant, intimidating, over-priced and wrong. That should be enough to help you choose.

Called to schedule an appointment for air conditioning. The agent I spoke with took my number and said someone would be in touch in an hour, it's been over a week since I initially called. Bad customer service and no follow up call speaks volumes.
