Best Electric Panel Repair in Buffalo NY
furnace stopped working and a technician determined I needed my induction motor replaced as well as my fuel control system for an estimate of $1400. It was suggested that i should consider a new furnace because the current on is 16 years old. Decided to get a second opinion despite a second service call charge. I'm glad I did. Called Armor Heating who indicated over the phone that it was highly unlikely those two parts would go bad at once and sent a tech out the same day. The diagnosis: a plugged condensate drain line. Furnace up and working like a charm. Seriously?? How does a tech misdiagnose a plugged drain line for $1400 in parts? I'm sure the fact that the tech spent more time explaining my options for a new furnace vs diagnosing the actual problem was just coincidental (insert sarcasm here).
I wouln't recommend Zenner & Ritter and their unethical business practices to anyone.
Update:
Brian,
I'm not sure how your statement He did not indicate that either component was failed but documented they were operating outside of manufacturer suggested parameters (recorded screen shots of the meter used). Options were provided for those components both separately and together, as well options for a new system can be interpreted any other way than to suggest the two parts needed to be replaced. My furnace was not functioning, and the technician was unable to remedy the situation. The options provided were to replace the parts in question for $1400 or replace the entire furnace.
Inexperience, lack of training, whatever you would like to call it, but as a customer I find it unacceptable.

He never showed up. He stood me up twice. Did not appreciate that considering I had to miss work to wait for him to show up. No communication to let me know if he was coming or not. I had to message him to follow up. Bad way of doing business. Bad communication normally leads to bad work. I did not get a good impression at all. I would recommend finding someone else.
