Best Tankless Water Heater Installation in Washington DC

Fantastic service! I'm a pretty handy guy. But I soon realized my kitchen sink backup in my new condo needed professional service. WL Staton gave me a same-day window between 2-4pm. Vince and Tyler showed up at 2:15pm.

They came in, rooted out years of drain debris going down 30ft and left my kitchen cleaner than they found it.

Professional. Courteous. Knowledgeable. One of the best service calls I have ever made.

(5 stars for the technicians, but I took off a star for a scheduling snafu). Our air conditioner stopped working the other weekend, so I got some estimates through Yelp. This company responded right away, provided an upfront cost estimate and said they could send techs the next day, so I went with them. I was told the repairmen would be at my place between 8:00 a.m. - Noon the next morning.

By noon, when no one had showed up yet, I called and spoke to Sean, and he was honest and admitted that he had forgotten to schedule my job. He then pulled techs off another job and they were at my place within a half hour. I understand that things happen, and I appreciate Sean's honesty, but I still woke up early and waited for more than 4 hours for a technician to show up. I had scheduled for the morning because my house cleaners were coming in the afternoon, and I was really hoping to avoid having the cleaning people and the AC repair folks at my place at the same time. Of course they arrived within minutes of each other and I had 2 repairmen and 3 cleaning people in my two bedroom apartment with no AC. Thankfully everyone involved was very understanding about the situation.

The techs were excellent! They were very friendly, professional and efficient, and were able to diagnose the issue almost immediately. Our AC was working again within about a half hour of their arrival. They also did a full check of the system, replaced the filter and provided recommendations for maintenance and upkeep. It was really reasonable, too. I received a $10 off discount on the visit by booking through Yelp. All in all I was very satisfied with my experience despite the scheduling mix up.

It's never a good situation when you have to call a plumber. But let me tell you, if you need one, these are the people to call! During one of Virginia's coldest weeks, despite being inundated with burst pipe calls, they rushed to my home with same day service. Everyone else was telling me I would have to wait at least three days! Not only was I treated with empathy and courtesy by Jenn, the office manager, but the expert, David, echoed that respect in person when he quickly determined where the water came from and fixed the problem. God forbid, I have any future floods or plumbing problems in my home but if I do, I will call no others. Thanks to them for their part in getting my basement back to normal!

Heil Plumbing has been out to our house in Howard County several times and the work is always really well done and the technicians are professional and communicative. We've had them install a new water pump for the well, fix leaks, and iron out issues with our water heating system.

Had a problem with a Rheem water heater.  Called another vendor, supposedly certified to work on Rheem water heaters, but they were not able to solve the problem and get to the bottom of the issue.

Asked Drain Works to take a look at the water heater.  The plumber took his time, systematically worked through the system, and found an extremely small filter that was clogged.  After cleaning this out, the water heater (and I) were very happy again.

Had Drain Works do work previously, and found they had the same methodical, careful, and systematic approach that they used on the water heater.  For any issues in the future - will definitely call them again.

Today I had service done with Gavin who was fabulous! Gavin was gracious and took the time to finish the job that Rich had started for me since he was out of the office. He did a great job completing the work and was able to also resolve some other plumbing issues I was having. David came to our home to discuss installation of a water filtration system for our kitchen. Instead of simply selling me what I asked about, he interviewed me about the load the system would handle and about skin/hair health and water use in general. We purchased a home water filtration system instead so that our laundry, cooking, and bathing have the benefit of high-quality water. This is important because we drink a lot of tea and coffee through our instant hot water system, and lots of plain water, so clean water and ice was important. We also cook 98% of the meals we cook so again, healthy water is key. Lastly, my husband and 85 year-old mother had skin sensitivities before the home water filtration system installation, but no longer.  And, I felt like the price--installation labor and materials--was fair. We've loved the system the two years we've had it. David recommended we set a calendar reminder for filter changing. The company is coming out soon to do that for us. Looking forward to having them and appreciate the enhanced quality of living David has provided with his expertise.

This was my first time calling Cardinal Plumbing. I'd read all the good reviews and was like 'yeah, but they can't be THAT good.' Whoa. The technician, Zack, was super prompt, courteous, knowledgeable, and above all, I felt like he 'really' cared. He fixed the issue and even sent me a document to refer to in the future for issues that may arise. I was a business owner for 24 years, so customer service is near and dear to my heart. Cardinal Plumbing, from the time I contacted them, to the time Zack left---was an incredibly awesome experience. These people ROCK! Will tell all my friends about them to.

The team showed up on time and worked quickly. They were professional, respectful and took the time to explain exactly what was happening and made recommendations to prevent the drain from clogging again. I recommend the team and believe you will to.

Shout out to Sean for helping my family while we were in desperate need. Our home was flooded on New Year's Eve of 2022. We spent the whole day waiting for our apartment maintenance to dispatch a plumber. Out of desperation we tried calling a plumber ourselves and no one was answering or they told us they wouldn't bother showing up. But Sean answered and could tell how devastated we were that our home was being filled with sewage and septic, a back up, for the whole apartment, was going straight into our unit. He took the time during an appointment to come out and help us alleviate the problem. He was truly a blessing when we felt helpless. He is worth every cent and I would continue to trust him with all services. As someone who works in construction and facilities management, I truly appreciate his professionalism and efficiency. Jeremy was awesome installing my tankless water heater. Ryan said it would take all day and Jeremy painstakingly worked on this installation, making sure before he left that the water was hot and my heat worked. Another plumber told me in an estimate (which was higher) that it would be difficult if not possible to install a tankless system because my heat is water supported.  Ryan said no problem. The price at the end was just as given in the estimate, no hidden or extra charges.  I have a top of the line tankless water heater and am very happy with the results of the install. They are coming back in a week to double check the system to make sure it's working properly. I don't know of any other plumber that does a follow up like this. Family-owned, friendly, responsive, knowledgeable and fair-priced.  These guys have been my go-to plumber since we bought a house many years ago.  They have been around this area for a long time, so they know the ins-and-outs of the plumbing in the various houses.  They are also respected by WSSC, and this came in handy when tree roots were clogging our sewer line beyone the limits of our property.  WSSC did not even question me when I gave them Steve Lyons name, reimbursed us for the expense, and (eventually) replaced the line for us.  I can't say enough good things about 'em.

Buyer beware! Hidden fees! I spoke with a rep and asked them fees for sending out a technician to look at an ac unit. We were quote a $69 price,  to be waived if we chose the repairs they offered. Although I repeatedly asked, rep did not quote any more fees. After the technician came out, we were charged a $139 diagnostic fee...and the diagnosis was that the technician doesn't know what's wrong and requests a new motherboard for the unit which is less than 6 months old! This is the equivalent of taking your car to a repair shop where the mechanics are confused and being told you need a brand new transmission.

We called to see what it would take to replace a faucet in our kitchen with a new one that we purchased from Lowes. Patrick came out and gave us a quote for the work and very quickly and cleanly replaced the faucet. He also discussed a few other items with me at detail. I would highly recommend this company (and Patrick).

If I could give this company zero stars I would. We used Real Plumbers to install a tankless hot water heater and a larger gas line to accommodate the heater.  Within the first month, we had three gas leaks.  In addition, the initial installation failed inspection by DCRA.  Over the past year, Real Plumbers has to come out again because they improperly installed the ventilation for the heater causing the hot water heater to shutdown.  This evening we had to have Washington Gas come to our home to turn off the gas.  During Washington Gas's inspection, we discovered that instead of using silicone to seal the pipe at the entrance to our home they used old rags.  I strongly recommend that you do not use Real Plumbers.
