Best Sump Pump Repair in Washington DC
I just moved into a new house and a couple appliances in the house kept blowing the fuse box. An electrician from Reddick & Sons came over and did a fantastic job identifying the issues and resolving the problems. The receptionist I spoke with was warm and efficient in communicating the key information; the electrician who came to fix my fuse box was punctual, professional, and efficient. I will definitely go back to this company for future electrical problems or needs in the house. Highly recommend

On February 12th, 2022, W.L. Staten sent a tech out to install a simple easy trap on my basement unit and a wet switch on my attic unit. Since that visit, my life has been turned upside down!!!
On that same day, five hours prior, I had my ducts cleaned by another company. Before the W.L. Staten tech arrived, my heat had been running successfully without any problems for five hours prior to their arrival.
When the tech arrived, he advised that the install of the easy trap and wet switch would take approximately 40 minutes in total. Almost close to two hours later, the tech was still in my attic installing the wet switch.
When I approached him to see what the problem was, he kept saying that there was something with the fan. When he advised that it was okay to turn the heat back on, all of this smoke started coming from my vents in my master bedroom. The room got instantly foggy. When I asked him what he did to my system, he said it was like that when I came, which was a lie!! Both systems were in tip top shape before the tech arrived. Prior tSmoke was NEVER coming from my vents!!!
I called back to the company and spoke to Chris, who was so incredibly rude to me and was making me feel like I did something wrong!
The next morning, February 13th, I woke up severally dizzy and have been plagued with health issues that have worsened ever since!!! The fire department and Washington Gas have been called to get to the bottom of why my HVAC is making me sick. All they can tell me is that no carbon monoxide is being emitted from the units, which I already knew from previous inspections.
As time progressed, my dizziness had turned into numbness and tingling in my head, and lower extremities. The inside of my nose, mouth, throat and tongue starts burning every time the heat kicks in. I would get sharp pains in my eyes. My legs would feel weak like they were going to give out. I've even had relatives come over from North Carolina to stay with me for a couple of days and they would start feeling sick. Every month since February, I have been in the ER plagued with these symptoms!!
I have hired 3 companies to look at my HVAC system and the final company was the ONLY company that thought to check my refrigerant levels. On 5/22 leaks were found in both units, with the attic unit being the worse.
I strongly believe both of my units were sabotaged by the W.L. Staten tech. The smoke from my vents was refrigerant that was intentionally leaked. And I have been breathing in those gases, which explains my health issues!
What is the probability of both units having a refrigerant leak at the very same time? It is no secret that the technicians at W.L. Staten work on commission which means they've got to sell something to make money!! Consumer BEWARE!

Wow! I emailed for a quote around 8 last night. Got a response almost immediately. We agreed on a price and they said they would be here at 11AM. For most companies 11Am is code for 1PM, but not these guys. They called around 9 and asked if hey could come early. We agreed, so now I am writing a review about how good Michael West was as the job is finished at it is 10:50AM. While I hope I don't need a plumber anytime soon, if I do, I know who I am going to call!

Drymount was a great company to work with. While my regular guy was too busy to respond to my emergency call, Drymount Air responded and arrived the same day. And when my A.C. essentially exploded again that same week, Sean and company came in with twice the man power to deal with the issue. A.C.'s been going strong for the past ten days with no complaints or issues. 10/10 service, cannot recommend enough. Thanks guys!

Quick and accommodating. Recognized issues and new how to resolve them. Great value.

Muhammad is indeed an exceptional plumber, as well as a nice, honest guy. We've hired him a few times for our plumbing needs (gas leak, leaky pipes, dishwasher drain issue, etc), and he's always gotten the job done at a reasonable price. We rely on Muhammad for our plumbing needs, and would highly recommend him to anyone in need of a top notch plumber.

We have a maintenance contract with them for our incredible wonderful mini split by Mitsubishi. Sila always calls us to remind us of our maintenance needs. They provided very flexible schedule. Their technician arrived on time. Masked, vaccinated, and knowledgeable. He did a great job and pointed out a few items to be aware of on our 5 year old system. Quick, convenient, and thorough, you can't ask for better service. Well done. Robert was our technician.

I received a prompt and competitive quote to replace a leaking hot water heater. A technician arrived the next day at the agreed upon time and quickly replaced the unit. I was billed precisely what was quoted. No complaints!

A technician came over exactly the time they quoted me and fixed our toilet. Great work and very responsive

We had Heil Plumbing out to investigate a water issue and also replace a toilet. They were easy and fast to schedule- I just filled out a form online, they called me, and we got an appointment scheduled in just a few days. The tech was on time and was very friendly. They did an incredibly thorough job investigating our issue and the tech was wonderful. The toilet replacement was a solid price (cheaper than a previous one we had done at the same address by a different company) and the tech did a great job and the toilet is working well. We would strongly recommend them if you're looking for a plumber in the Glen Burnie area!

Donzelle was awesome. We had an emergency plumbing situation (backup flowing up through my tenant's shower drain...pretty gross), and Donzelle was the first person to respond to my requests. His communication was excellent throughout, his prices were fair, and he responded immediately. He was also able to work with the tenant to find a time that worked best for everybody for follow-up work. He didn't try to upsell or pressure us based on the situation and his quality of work was fantastic. Sent pictures and updates throughout, cleaned up, and my tenant also reported that he was very satisfied. Super professional, 5 stars.

We are in the midst of remodeling an office space. We have plumbing fixtures that we were not going to use for the business at all. DJ came out gave us an estimate of the work we needed to be done. He was prompt and very professional. He gave us options on what we could do to save us money. Which was a bonus for us since we are a new business trying to get up and running and on a tight budget. DJ came out the next day and did an excellent job on the plumbing work that we needed done. We would definitely use him again and would recommend him to our friends and family.

Called C&C as a representative for a roof leak I was having. After looking at the issue, they suggested I call the insurance (which, TBH, I had not even considered) to try and save some money... low and behold, insurance came through with half an entire roof fix!!! C&C completed the work in a timely manner at an unbeatable price with quality work. Since then, I've also used C&C for several other handyman issues around the house, including:
- Plumbing Consultation
- Electrical Consultation/Completion
- Construction debris removal
- Ceiling Repair work
I would truly use these guys for any work around the house that needed to be done!

Had a sump pump fail and they came and did a same day emergency replacement. I originally reached out to Opata for a second opinion bc I honestly don't know much about plumbing and they agreed with the other company that the sump pump needed to be replaced. Price was about $150 less than what the other company quoted me so I went with Opata. I had a million questions before and after the new sump pump was installed and they were super responsive and gave detailed answers to each question. I really appreciated this. Us first time home owners need help so it was great to not feel annoying for having a lot of questions.

Received four quotes for three major home projects: A complete master bathroom remodel, a new deck, and replacement of a drop ceiling with sheetrock and repair of a water-damaged wall in a guest bedroom.
The first three quotes were from high end remodelers. A friend recommended Allen Geoffrey's Handyman Services to us (she had just had her bathroom remodeled). Geoff and his crew (Mark and Brian) came out to survey the jobs. They spent more time with me going over what work we wanted and what our major concerns were. They suggested a comprehensive plan of attack from top to bottom. We were consulted at every step of each of the projects to ensure that our expectations and design elements were incorporated.
Their price quote came in thousands (yes, thousands) of dollars less than the three previous quotes. While they don't provide the design assistance of the high end contractors, they met us at a big box contractor store and helped us color-coordinate our design interests. They took care of ordering all the various pieces parts needed and got us a significant discount on materials.
First, they replaced the deck to install flashing (that the previous home owner neglected to do), that led to the water damage in the guest bedroom. The deck was brought up to code and revealed serious problems with the previous deck installation.
After the deck was done, the crew split off into two teams, one working on the master bathroom, the other, working on the guest bedroom.
The crew took care of hauling off all old materials and cleaned up after each day. The work was first-rate.
As with any major home project, unexpected/unforeseen problems arise. While removing the water-damaged sheetrock in the guest bedroom, major water damage was discovered to the exterior wall. Geoff gave me a very reasonable labor estimate to repair the wall. That wall is now the strongest in the house.
They show up when expected, every day, until the job is done. They go beyond what is expected to ensure that the client is happy with the direction the project is headed.
I highly recommend these master plumbers. I guess my highest endorsement is that, when our kitchen cabinets come in, Geoff and his crew will be doing our complete kitchen remodel (again, coming in thousands of dollars less than the high-end contractors). If you need any work done to your home, give them a call. They will not disappoint you.
And, Geoff, Mark, & Brian, our new master bathroom looks and functions beyond our expectations. Thank you!

I contacted Drain Works in the morning and they came to my home that afternoon to repair a leak in my water heater. Before contacting Drain Works I contacted my home warranty, yet the plumber they contracted was unavailable to come to my home until 2 days later! Even after informing them it was an emergency the earliest my home warranty's plumber could arrive would be the following day. I am so grateful for Drain Works' prompt, efficient, and affordable service. Since my water heater is behind my washer/dryer unit, Jorge even offered to move my w/d unit back in place after he completed the repair (although he didn't even move my w/d out the way, the fire department moved it the previous night so we could turn off the main water valve). I will definitely use Drain Works for future plumbing issues, forget the home warranty.

I'm afraid I was not impressed by this company and would not recommend them to others.
For starters, they are expensive. Back in August I asked them to inspect my heating and AC system. After completing the inspection and replacing several parts, i was stunned to receive a bill for $1158. They also recommended that I replace a furnace fan motor which would have cost an additional $800.
Last week, while replacing the furnace air filter, I noticed water accumulating under the unit. I thought that, after the August inspection, problems like this would not occur. As such, I called the company to see if they would send out a technician to diagnose the problem and not charge me for the follow-up visit. Ironically, the company representative placed me on hold and a recorded message said Thomas Clark guarantees its work. When the rep got back on the line she said the leak was probably a result of the fan motor which I had not replaced.
I then arranged to have a technician from another company come out to fix the leak. He quickly identified the source of the leak which, as it turns out, had nothing to do with the fan motor. I believe the technician from Thomas Clark would have caught this problem if his initial inspection was more thorough.
In summary, I'd only deal with this firm if you have money to spare and take their customer assurance for quality service with a grain of salt.

These guys were so impressive.
Fuse blew right before move-in day and cooked the upper floor to 80+ degrees.
They were able to show up and repair everything faster than any of the other HVAC guys could even get to the house.
Michael M showed up and had everything resolved with a new thermostat setup in about 20 minutes after we spent 3 days trying to figure it out.
Super responsive, fast service, professional, and definitely technical expertise. Will likely give them our maintenance business.

Fantastic small business. My mom found this company online and after a little research, I decided to try them out. I was not dissatisfied at all. Remedied my situation, made sure they cleaned up after themselves, gave me some feedback one what I should od next and there was no price gouging. Melissa was fantastic and her Husband, Kirk and son did fantastic work. I will recommend them to everyone I know. And if any future problems arise, I will be sure to call them first!

Gus and his team saved us multiple times over the past couple of weeks with emergency plumbing issues in our new house. They were responsive, knowledgeable, and helpful each time. I also appreciated their transparent and fair pricing. I strongly recommend Champion Plumbing if you live in the DMV area.
