I called Reddick and Sons to fix or diagnose an air conditioning problem. As a new home owner,  I had never used a HVAC company before. I took a chance with Yelp. There were about 15 5 star reviews..but unfortunately I should have used a company with at least 50 honest reviews.

My problem with Reddick and Sons is That first of all they were late. I was at the mercy of an HVAC company in the middle of June...so you can imagine the delima. Two tech's came out and inspected my home (3 floors) from top to bottom. Long story short they said that I needed an whole new air compressor for $4,000.00. No Not a new HVAC system, just an air compressor...$4,000.00!!! They also suggested some helpful hints as to put rocks under my AC unit and close air vents. They charged me $500 to clean the outside fan and to add freon which they knew I didn't need..

I called another company and got the real diagnosis. I had particulates in my line which was a simple fix and they charged me $250.

In addition to charging $500 they also slapped a huge Riddick & Son's promotional sticker on my HVAC unit inside and out without asking...Zero Stars if possible.

Fantastic service! I'm a pretty handy guy. But I soon realized my kitchen sink backup in my new condo needed professional service. WL Staton gave me a same-day window between 2-4pm. Vince and Tyler showed up at 2:15pm.

They came in, rooted out years of drain debris going down 30ft and left my kitchen cleaner than they found it.

Professional. Courteous. Knowledgeable. One of the best service calls I have ever made.

Contacted this plumber who had an initially good response. When I decided to have them come and install my whole house water filter I had to ask them twice whether they are coming or not and to confirm with me. Michael, who was very nice, came to install the filter and after reading the instructions proceeded to tell me that we have to get a contractor to install a piece of plywood behind the filter to support it. Furthermore, he told me that I would have to pay for the plumbing tool required to connect the pipes!!

Unfortunately, not the 5 star reviewed place I had hoped for.

Just moved into a townhome in Silver Spring and was already having some trouble with a couple of the bathrooms. One was loose or something and leaked at the bottom onto the tile as soon as it was flushed, so that made a bit of a mess that had to be cleaned up. Another one had some deteriorating pump materials inside the tank, particularly the rubber flapper, that had come completely away from its connections and prevented the toilet bowl from refilling with water, so basically it would not flush. Put in a maintenance request for all of this to be addressed to the property manager, and within two days of putting in the request, a plumber from JF Plumbing and Heating arrived, earlier than the four-hour timeframe the company had originally indicated, and he got right to work and was done within 15 minutes. Fixed both toilets; basically the one that leaked had to have a bolt re-tightened at the bottom that holds the commode to the floor, and the other one he put in a brand new, functional rubber stopper.
I was expecting to be there at the house all morning waiting on a plumber, but he was quick and I ended up going back to work quickly. So glad they were considerate of other people's time and appreciate them for sending someone who took care of the problems. I also liked the fact that as soon as the plumber noticed all-wood flooring in the home, he tied plastic bags over his boots to ensure he tracked no moisture or mud through the home.

Looking to have an erosion solution, connect to three downspouts and a sump pump, then direct the water 25+ ft from the house.  Called DB for a quote and DB wants $40 to provide a quote and let me know if they can actually do the work?  No Thanks ...

Muhammad came out and accessed the issue of my sink faucet very quickly. A few days later he came back and installed the new faucet in record time. It looks great and works perfect. He also took the time to check on an issue I was having with shower. I will definitely continue to use them for my plumbing needs and appreciate the quick responses. Wore mask and removed shoes at door.

Responsive and clear communication, professional service, competitive pricing. They installed 2 new toilets, removed the old ones removed, fixed a gasket on my dryer, and adjusted the tub drain.  Great experience and highly recommend.

I contacted Drain Works for gas fireplace servicing and had a fantastic experience. Within a week, I didn't hesitate to call them for a major plumbing installation. Prompt and professional service!

When I got home from work on a hot day and discovered the compressor wasn't turning, I knew we were in for a long night.  I picked Thomas E Clark from all of the reviews in part because their hours indicated they were still open.  While I got the answering machine, they called me back right away.  Although they had no openings for the following day, they asked if I would like to leave my name and number in case someone cancelled.  Within an hour, they called back to tell me they would be coming to our house and gave us a time range, which they met.  The technician identified the issue right away and got it working again fast.  They were very professional, reasonably priced, and courteous.

Kirk is the best! I have called on him for the past 10 years. He has worked on my old home and replaced and repaired all the plumbing needs. He is honest, has fair prices, and completes the job correctly!

Just had them out to fix a clogged sewage drain leading to my septic tank.  Worked out great.  Spoke to Gus (the owner) in the morning, and the guys (Chuck and Quasi) were at my house at 10am (as requested by me) same day. Ie. They were punctual!  They were great to work with as well. Professional and courteous. And most importantly they fixed the problem in a timely fashion and cleaned up after themselves.  Can't ask for much more than that.

After: picture was of bathroom being remodeled. Friendly workers, he responded to messages and contacts quickly. Would definitely recommend to family and friends.

I decided to install a new under sink water filter. Only, I ended up not being able to get the old one out, and split the line in the process. This meant our kitchen sink no longer had cold water.

I called Ehrhardt Bros and told them I bought one of those easy to install water filters. Laughing ensured. It made be feel a bit better to know I'm not alone in my home improvement ineptness. He told me he would check the tickets that came in, and triage my request, since not having a functional kitchen sink isn't fun.

It turns out they were available at noon and in the area. (sorry Wayne if I cost you your lunch break). He was gone before 1 and had the new filter installed, and while he was here he also bent a cut off valve that was getting caught on the garbage disposal, loosened another stuck valve and have me pointers on maintaining my hot water heater. Really nice guy!

I think I've found my local plumber for life

First time using B&C and I am more than pleased with the level of service and professionalism this company offers.

I had my sump pump and check valves replaced, the service was quick and the price was more than reasonable.

I highly recommend B&C for any plumbing, sewage or drainage issues you may have.

What a horrible way to speak to potential customer. He was extremely rude to me on the phone as I was calling several plumbers for quotes. Then said he wasn't available until next week. Trash!! I'll take my $250 to Unclog Plumbing. They were extremely professional in their booking. They will be fixing my problem tomorrow.

Our upstairs bathroom although recently renovated was built over a 100 year old cast iron plumbing. The bathtub drain has never been the best but  most recently it had stopped draining altogether. I reached out to 3-4 contractors. DMV plumbing was the first to respond. He came by our house within 2 hours and worked tirelessly for 2.5hrs to help unclog the drain. After numerous attempts to push  out the gunk with his tools, he was able to get a working drain again! Yay! I would highly recommend DMV plumbing. Elliott is a very experienced plumber and is also very cordial and professional. He kept trying until our drain was clog free. I'm super appreciative of his efforts and will be reaching out to him again should there be any new plumbing issues.

Fortunately I do not have to often use plumbing services but when I do it is for an emergency and when you have an emergency, Mahon plumbing is the company to call! I recently had a sewage back up in my basement and Mahon was on the scene within 90 minutes to snake the pipe. They put a camera in the line and found another obstruction further down the line that was the counties responsibility  and gave me the county emergency number to call to clear that out. When you have a plumbing emergency call Mahon. They have the expertise and professional staff to get you through it

Mike from Clover was great! A separate contractor was pulling my refrigerator out and broke my waterline. That contractor called Clover to fix the problem. Clover's office staff was accommodating to my time frame (when was best to take off of work) when scheduling the appointment. I asked them to have the plumber call 30 minutes prior to arrival and they did. They were also there at the beginning of the two hour window they originally promised, which was great so I could get on with my day. They quickly explained the problem to me and explained what they were going to do. After finishing the work, they showed me what they had done and replaced my fridge (thankfully- that thing is too bulky for me to move by myself). They were in and out in less than an hour. Along the way, they were incredibly friendly and courteous. While I didn't pay for the services (the contractor who broke the line did), I will definitely be giving them a call for future plumbing needs and asking for Mike!
