Best Leak Detection in Washington DC

I met Danny through my Realtor when a week before we were listing our house our hot water went out.  And to make matters worse, it was on New Years.  Danny came out without issues and had us up and running in no time!  We have since used him a few times in our new house and is awesome to work with!  Super knowledgeable, detail oriented and does impeccable work.

Not often in todays world do you find a service company with these qualifications and I am glad we were introduced to him.  Call with confidence that he will take care of you!

Called them with an emergency job to fix a leaking water heater (after being referred by a very highly rated plumber who was too busy).  They showed up promptly with a ready to go water heater in the truck (just in case).  Turns out that a new one was needed and we didn't have to wait on the plumber to go get one in order to finish the job.  Highly recommend and will keep on my quick dial list for future jobs.

Needed a plumber on short notice and the gentleman who came out could not have been more help in diagnosing and advising next steps.  I did not get work done by them yet since I need to fix a related issue first but I will definitely call them back.

I had Drymount Air come in to provide a second estimate after another HVAC company in the DC area told me my entire furnace needed to be replaced. It turns out that my furnace was fine, and that I didn't need a total replacement, which saved me several thousands of dollars. I'm very glad that I had Drymount come out and provide a second opinion. Communication was prompt and smooth throughout.

I have a water heater that was leaking and dripping water in the room below.
As it was under home warranty and as it was urgent , I was referred to DB Plumbing by the warranty provider to assess the situation.  Plumber arrived on time and checked things out and could not identify the problem.  He said they would get back to me in 24 hours with a follow on.  After 26 hours having received no call I called them - the reply I got was that they were not able/interested to do the work.   Wow...  Meanwhile I am living another day with no water and ongoing cleanup as I find someone else who can help.

Mr. Saleh replied right away, and was able to get in for a same day repair. Excellent work at fair prices. I will absolutely call again if we have any plumbing or gas problems.

After our roof started leaking, we called several plumbers, and none was willing to come by as quickly as Carlton. Once he came, he spent his time crawling around our attic figuring out what the problem was. While it turned out not to be a plumbing problem, Carlton helped us pinpoint where our roof was leaking and sent us photos to help us with our next steps. He also quickly figured out a leak problem with our kitchen sink. He did this all very professionally and for a very reasonable price. If we ever have more plumbing problems, we'll be sure to reach out to him.

Professional, knowledgeable and friendly. Every interaction with any Heil Plumbing employee has been a good one. Whether I requested an estimate or actually coming out and fixing a leaking pipe, I've been more than pleased with Heil. Definitely recommend them.

So we went with another highly rated company on yelp originally and when they came out they gave me a quote and said that it would be another week before they could actually fix my issues. The quote was insanely high, to the point I felt like they were ripping off this little lady.

I got an estimate via Yelp from Donzelle and I asked if he could come. There were a couple more follow up questions in an effort for him to dial in the quote even more and to make sure he brought the correct fixtures.

He was able to fix the leak pretty quickly - but didn't bring the correct fixtures (my fault). He came the next day though to finish the job. Also, he fixed my loose toliet seat that I've been too lazy to fix, as well as giving me some maintance tips to keep my tankless water heater working.

I've had big time plumbers come through and I've had small companies come through. But Donelle is my go to plumber from now on. He was polite, efficient, gave me a fair price, and was a stand up guy. I will be recommending him to all my friends.

We are in the midst of remodeling an office space. We have plumbing fixtures that we were not going to use for the business at all. DJ came out gave us an estimate of the work we needed to be done. He was prompt and very professional. He gave us options on what we could do to save us money. Which was a bonus for us since we are a new business trying to get up and running and on a tight budget. DJ came out the next day and did an excellent job on the plumbing work that we needed done. We would definitely use him again and would recommend him to our friends and family.

Clay is a super nice and honest guy! He came by twice to look at things and he was a pleasure to work with.

My garbage disposal needed repairing or replacing. I searched for a plumber and thankfully I found Matt. Without hesitation, he fit me into his schedule for same day service. Upon arrival to my home I discovered another plumbing concern and asked him to inspect it. As it turned out my sump pump needed replacing and it had been raining all day which led to a significant amount of ground swell. Matt quoted me a fair price. Unfortunately, we could not obtain a replacement pump because supply houses and other retailers had reduced hours due to Covid-19. He replaced the disposal and to my surprise loaned me a sump pump overnight to prevent my basement from flooding.  I'm grateful for his professionalism and easy demeanor which made doing business with him terrific. Matt is a plumber whose services you can count on and trust when needed. I highly recommend him and won't hesitate to call on him again. He also was very respectful of my home taking care to clean up behind himself as well as cover his feet to prevent damaging my wood floors. Note, this is an actual review from a very satisfied client!

My husband and I began a recent search for a great plumber when our home warranty company failed to meet the mark. We turned to Yelp to seek a reputable plumber, with good reviews, and a quick turnaround time. Drain Works far exceeded our expectations! First, Jorge, the owner (and plumber extraordinaire), responded back to our quote request within moments and was available to come to our home within two days... sooner if we had been available.

Now, onto the good stuff. Our home is relatively old, 51 years to be exact, and we were down to 1 working bathroom, of the three available in the house. The first issue was the master bath; we'd been having problems with it since purchasing our home about a year ago; recurring stoppage, water backing up into the toilet and shower, yadda, yadda. Our home warranty sent four different plumbing companies... accumulating more than seven visits, to no avail. Matter of fact, they ultimately said they wouldn't cover it because they considered it a mainline issue. THEN, enter Jorge. And thank you, sweet baby Jesus. Jorge was able to clear the lines in the upstairs bathroom, finding a wad of towels or paper or other things we should just leave to the imagination, while none others had been able. I'm happy to report that a week later, we are still in business and fully functioning.

Next issue, our basement bathroom. The basement bathroom had sprung a leak around the base of the toilet. We tried to fix this one ourselves, thinking we just needed to replace the wax ring or something. But upon pulling the toilet, discovered that our original flange was broken and crumbling, resulting in a leak. We were fearful that this fix would require breaking up the concrete floor to replace the entire pipe and flange (old cast iron); however, Jorge suggested he could rebuild the existing flange because there was still enough intact. I'm thankful that he proposed a fix instead of a full bathroom renovation, and this too has been working successfully ever since. It's not often these days that we encounter people who are truly masters of their trade. PS - both jobs were completed in the same day.

Jorge was completely professional, courteous, and fair. Also, he was clean and respectful of our home. We would hire him again in a heartbeat! He will be our go-to plumber for any future needs.

I had a sewage pipe backup which caused a real mess on the Saturday after Christmas. Melissa was wonderful and Kirk was here within hours to snake the pipe and educate me on why this happened and what had to be done next. Melissa even called me on Sunday to make sure everything was ok. I LOVE this company!!

We had a great experience with Champion when they fixed our emergency leak situation within a couple hours. Gus the owner was friendly, quick to respond, arrived on time, had the parts needed, wore a mask, did the fix quickly, left everything clean, and charged exactly what he quoted over the phone. Hopefully we won't have another urgent problem but if we do we'll definitely call Gus again.

We've used Sila for a year now, and today Carlos Reed came for maintenance on our AC/HVAC unit.  Great service, very thorough, and helped explain what we needed to do to help extend the life of our unit in terminology that made sense to us.  Additionally, he is helping arrange a follow up on a previous quote we had with our heat.  We will use Sila/Carlos again.

In the middle of a heat wave, and 3 days before my due date, our AC broke. Snell rearranged their schedule to service me first - and I couldn't have been more thankful! Quality service and able and beyond customer service. Highly recommend!!

Think of the worst customer service you could possibly ask for and that's what you get at Thomas E Clark.  We called on a Sunday night w/ a water heater issue and by Thursday still did not have a straight answer about whether / how / if they could fix or replace the tank.  And calls went unanswered.  Servicemen were dispatched to our house twice (failing to even introduce themselves to us) and when they gave us a rough quote of the cost it was TWICE as expensive as what we ultimately got from another plumber, who did the job in 4 hours.  The failure to fix the problem is troubling, but the abhorrent customer service was really the deal breaker.
