Great work. Very professional. They can fix a problem left by contractors. Excellent diagnostics. Courteous professional plumbers. Look no further.

Experienced and professional. No guesswork, fair pricing and they came prepared with everything needed to do the job. I couldn't be happier with the outcome and was impressed because he was so familiar with old plumbing. Stop searching, this is who to call!!

We had a good experience with Sila and would definitely recommend them. We needed someone to get our furnace up and running on a cold day and they were able to squeeze us in that afternoon. Their technician Joey arrived on schedule, was both friendly and professional, and also got our heat up and running again quickly.

Just moved into a townhome in Silver Spring and was already having some trouble with a couple of the bathrooms. One was loose or something and leaked at the bottom onto the tile as soon as it was flushed, so that made a bit of a mess that had to be cleaned up. Another one had some deteriorating pump materials inside the tank, particularly the rubber flapper, that had come completely away from its connections and prevented the toilet bowl from refilling with water, so basically it would not flush. Put in a maintenance request for all of this to be addressed to the property manager, and within two days of putting in the request, a plumber from JF Plumbing and Heating arrived, earlier than the four-hour timeframe the company had originally indicated, and he got right to work and was done within 15 minutes. Fixed both toilets; basically the one that leaked had to have a bolt re-tightened at the bottom that holds the commode to the floor, and the other one he put in a brand new, functional rubber stopper.
I was expecting to be there at the house all morning waiting on a plumber, but he was quick and I ended up going back to work quickly. So glad they were considerate of other people's time and appreciate them for sending someone who took care of the problems. I also liked the fact that as soon as the plumber noticed all-wood flooring in the home, he tied plastic bags over his boots to ensure he tracked no moisture or mud through the home.

Eric was awesome! He really saved the day for us. He came early and was finished before I new it. He made the experience painless and checked in with me regarding some design/aesthetic issues with our drain. I will definitely use Heil again!!

Bottom Line Upfront: I can't recommend Alfonso and Alfonzo of Gridpoint Plumbing highly enough; reach out to them for any job big or small. They can handle it, will do excellent work, and will provide top notch customer service.
I took over management of a 150+ year old mixed use property in DC, which needed A LOT of plumbing work - the entire building's galvanized pipes needed replacement, many of the fixtures like faucets, sinks, and supply lines needed replacement, the toilets and shower needed repair, the HVAC's condenser pipe was broken clean off and draining down the side of the building, and the spigot in the rear of the building didn't work. As is the case with older buildings, no work is ever simple because there have been changes to standards, different people doing work, and there are always unforeseen issues. I should also mention that the building is occupied by two commercial tenants and one residential tenant and the work needed to be completed around their schedules/needs.
I was introduced to Alfonso and Alfonzo by my personal plumber who prefers not to work on multi-tenant properties. They are a father/son duo with decades of plumbing experience (and, really, general know-how of how buildings work). Not only did they do an excellent job taking care of all of the plumbing issues I listed above, they provided honest advice and very reasonable prices and bent over backwards to accommodate my tenants. Some examples of their superior customer service:
- One of the tenants refused to let Alfonso and Alfonzo work during the day, so they agreed to work at night for no additional charge
- Each night, they would stay late to ensure the water would be back on during the day for the tenants
- They worked strategically in certain areas at a time to minimize the disruption to the tenants, rather than just ripping everything open and doing whatever was convenient
- They noticed my tenants hadn't cleaned their air conditioners' filters and cleaned them for no charge and without me asking
- One of the tenants did sloppy electrical work without permission and knocked out power to half the building while Alfonso and Alfonzo were getting ready to work. They stopped what they were doing, diagnosed the issue, provided a temporary fix for free, and called several electricians to find one who could come out immediately and fix it (this is another benefit of hiring Gridpoint Plumbing - they have all kinds of connections with a variety of contractors).
Aside from all of this, Alfonso and Alfonzo are really great guys. You can really depend on them to get the job done right. They've earned my business for as long as they want it. Trust me on this: stop reaching out to dozens of plumbers; your search is over.

I have dealt with alot of different plumbing companies n this one was By FAR the BEST. They made everything easy from the 1st call in to the completion of service. Their prices were more than reasonable and they took one of the worst times in my life and made it so simple. The plumber is so knowledgeable and experienced that he made everything look effortless. They didnt try to add things to the bill or say it couldnt be done without other parts etc.to make the price higher. I needed paperwork for my insurance and the office staff handled everything for me, TOP NOTCH CUSTOMER SERVICE, when most companies no longer care abt customers. I could not say enough wonderful things abt this company. Last thing THaNK YOU ALL NITE and please let this company be your 1st choice they dont disappoint.

We paid for a plumbing estimate two weeks ago and have still not received any estimate even though we have made several calls to the plumbing representative, one call to the main office, and sent several emails. The plumbing representative sent us an email saying we would receive estimate the next morning, which has yet to arrive.

I do not recommend this business. We had a simple clogged kitchen sink that needed a good professional snake. I called in the morning and got an appointment for the same day. However, they failed to mention I would be waiting ALL day. The service man didn't show up until 7:30 pm, right in the middle of dinner. I was then quoted $488. ALMOST FIVE HUNDRED DOLLARS!! For a simple snake job!! I couldn't believe it. My jaw is still on the floor. Then he proceeded to recommend that we try boiling a huge pot of water and pour it down our PLASTIC pipes. Unbelievable. We did NOT hire them and went with another local guy who charged us a modest $250, came and went by noon the next day, and told us to absolutely never pour boiling water down our drain. Thanks for nothin' A Better Plummer. You're simply not 'Better'.

We called them over to take on a job our handyman shook his head at - a dual-sink to solo conversion disposal install. Upon arriving, Stacy was great with our two dogs, super polite and explained everything along the way.
There was very little room to work with, but he gave us the plan A and plan B options and went to work. Stacy definitely knows his stuff and got the job done right the first time. We've used Voight before but will always ask for Stacy going forward. Highly recommended if you value transparency in pricing with high-quality work!

The guy was friendly enough and seemed to fix the problem. My diverter for my tub needed to be replaced. He did the work but I thought it was a bit expensive. Over the holidays water from my tub leaked into my kitchen below. Why? The diverter wasn't installed well. It needed more of a seal. This time I called a different plumber. Won't be using zepp again.

Great customer service. The tech came out and repaired HVAC quickly. He got straight to work and didn't try to sale me random things that weren't necessary. It was such a good experience I decided to have them come out to service my unit for the winter and look at my fireplace.

We've used S.L. Hammond at different times to install a disposal, clear a drain, and replace our bathroom sink faucet. He and his son are knowledgeable, professional, and personable. We haven't had any issues with their work, and their prices have been reasonable. We have no problem recommending them to others.

I'm revising my rating based on my followup experience with the company. The day after posting my original review, I received a call from someone in the customer service department. I was expecting him to threaten litigation or something for the bad review (not really, but was expecting the worst) but the rep acknowledged that the tech messed up, the quote should have been a much more reasonable $289, and that they were following up to make sure this type of mistake doesn't happen again. They also refunded the $134, but I was more impressed with the fact that they owned the mistake without trying to offer explanations or justifications. Given the followup experience, I'll probably give Magnolia another chance in the future, but will be wary.

Well, things took a quick turn for the worse for this company. While they were fixing my AC, I asked about a group discount on service plans, since my condo board was investigating trying to negotiate a plan and offer it to the residents. I spoke with a really helpful customer service rep who immediately emailed me info regarding the service plan options and noted that we could get a 15% discount for a group purchase. However, when we attempted to actually sign up for the discounted service plan, the offer was no longer available for their cheapest service plan, and was suddenly only a 10% discount for the 2nd-tier. The customer service reps were quite rude at this point, basically calling us liars even though we had the email with the offer. I thought their higher prices would cover some better customer service, but I was dreadfully wrong.

They should change their name to Real Shysters. I bought a brand new GE water heater from Home Depot and had it professionally installed, but it didn't work. So I called GE and they said that they need to send one of their GE certified companies to my house to take a look. They said the closest company to my house is a company called Real Plumbers so they sent the service request to them. When I called Real Plumbers to schedule it, the guy over the phone was trying to tell me that GE is not going to pay for anything if the installation was done wrong and that they would charge me for the visit. I told him that we don't know what the problem is yet with the water heater but without even seeing it and not knowing what the problem is he kept on insisting that the installation was done wrong and that I need to agree to a $129 diagnosis fee. I then put him on hold and called GE on the other line. GE told me to get him on the line and they told him directly not to charge me anything and that they would pay for the visit. Then when their technician came to diagnose the water heater, he kept on telling me that I need to give him a check for the visit and that GE would not cover it. I told him that I will call GE again to make sure but he told me not to call them because it's a waste of time and that they're not going to pay for anything. So I called GE anyway and again they agreed to pay for the visit and anything that's wrong with the water heater. By now both the guy over the phone and the tech that came out were relentlessly trying to get me to pay them directly for the visit. So moving on the tech claimed that I need two heating elements and said that he has the parts in his truck so I told him to go ahead and replace them. He told me that it would cost over $300 and that I need to pay for it because GE will not cover the parts and labor. And again I called GE and again they said that they would in fact pay for it and I passed the phone over to the tech so they can tell him directly.
The next morning I still didn't have any hot water. I called Real Plumbers and the guy over the phone was extremely rude and told me to call GE and that it wasn't their problem. He said as long as the water is warm, they did their job and they didn't care if the water is not even hot enough to take a shower. Basically when they realized that they couldn't rip me off, they decided not to help me out anymore.

Kevin Jenkins came to my house to fix the kitchen sink - turns out one small $3 part had come unscrewed. It took him in total 35 mins (including going to get the part) and he charged me a ridiculous amount of $180 for the service. Refused to give an estimate or talk price until he presented me an invoice at the end. Charged a $45 travel fee to drive less than a mile. Completely unprofessional and I was extremely dissatisfied with the service. The only good part was that he was only about a half an hour late and came on a Saturday. DO NOT USE HIM.
