Best HVAC System Maintenance in Washington DC
I woke up to find no hot water when turning on the shower so went to check my water heater and found water puddling under and around my tank. The leak was slow but steady so after mopping up I started looking for plumbing companies and came across Reddick and Sons. After reading their reviews I gave them a call. Shontel came to my home introduced himself looked at my tank and explained what the problem was and how I needed to replace it. He went over everything that needed to be done, the cost and time it would take. I agreed and he did the work, professionaly, efficiently, and neatly. My carpet in that basement was brand new and he went out of his way to protect it. I am greatful to Reddick for scheduling me same day with such short notice and to Shontel for saving what could have been a sure disaster. I highly recommend this company.

I was having a heck of time trying to find someone to just try and light the pilot light in my gas fireplace. Specialized fireplace companies are all very busy right now as the weather gets cooler. Most were not available to do this for at least a couple of weeks and wanted to charge around $250 for a standard fireplace inspection. I had one plumber from another company scheduled to look at the fireplace before I realized that all they would do would check to see if gas was being supplied to the fireplace. He wouldn't be able to actually light the pilot light. I was looking for handymen, neighbors, anyone to help out. Drymount air was able to come to my house the same day that I contacted them and got it working for $89! Getting this completed was time sensitive as was in the process of getting my home sold and this issue was identified as part of a home inspection that needed to be corrected.

Received four quotes for three major home projects: A complete master bathroom remodel, a new deck, and replacement of a drop ceiling with sheetrock and repair of a water-damaged wall in a guest bedroom.
The first three quotes were from high end remodelers. A friend recommended Allen Geoffrey's Handyman Services to us (she had just had her bathroom remodeled). Geoff and his crew (Mark and Brian) came out to survey the jobs. They spent more time with me going over what work we wanted and what our major concerns were. They suggested a comprehensive plan of attack from top to bottom. We were consulted at every step of each of the projects to ensure that our expectations and design elements were incorporated.
Their price quote came in thousands (yes, thousands) of dollars less than the three previous quotes. While they don't provide the design assistance of the high end contractors, they met us at a big box contractor store and helped us color-coordinate our design interests. They took care of ordering all the various pieces parts needed and got us a significant discount on materials.
First, they replaced the deck to install flashing (that the previous home owner neglected to do), that led to the water damage in the guest bedroom. The deck was brought up to code and revealed serious problems with the previous deck installation.
After the deck was done, the crew split off into two teams, one working on the master bathroom, the other, working on the guest bedroom.
The crew took care of hauling off all old materials and cleaned up after each day. The work was first-rate.
As with any major home project, unexpected/unforeseen problems arise. While removing the water-damaged sheetrock in the guest bedroom, major water damage was discovered to the exterior wall. Geoff gave me a very reasonable labor estimate to repair the wall. That wall is now the strongest in the house.
They show up when expected, every day, until the job is done. They go beyond what is expected to ensure that the client is happy with the direction the project is headed.
I highly recommend these master plumbers. I guess my highest endorsement is that, when our kitchen cabinets come in, Geoff and his crew will be doing our complete kitchen remodel (again, coming in thousands of dollars less than the high-end contractors). If you need any work done to your home, give them a call. They will not disappoint you.
And, Geoff, Mark, & Brian, our new master bathroom looks and functions beyond our expectations. Thank you!

The previous contractor left the fireplace with bad sealing. Fireplace won't work. David checked all gas pipelines, pressure regulator was missing and he got the part and put it. Cleaned up the bad job done by Calix home services the contractor that I had used earlier and got my fireplace working. Peter is very thorough about his work and excellent with his work.
Highly recommend him

This guy is a crook! Please be careful doing business with him. There are other individuals that will do work on your home beware
Everyone that does not like a review says they have no records. This guy is a con artist and a thief. We paid money for a service that was not done when we asked for the money back we could not get it back.

Instead of trusting my gut feeling after two encounters with this group, I continued giving them the benefit of the doubt - big mistake. A young man came to my house - at a cost of $108 to fix a leaky boiler system. While he was polite and professional, he informed us that replacing the leaky boiler valve was not something he felt confident addressing. After a discussion with someone at the group's main office, he explained that the additional cost would be $730. Upon further inquiry, they told me the job would require two men and could take the entire day. We agreed that I'd give it some thought and call back. I then located the needed valve for a cost ranging from $35 to $54. I then called Snell again and asked to speak with the manager. The person said the manager wasn't available. Even after additional attempts to reach the manager, it became evident that the manager did not want to talk with me with excuses ranging from that manager no longer works here to sorry, he's really busy but I can help you. Eventually, Snell said they were willing to replace the valve for $600. A few days later, I called to set the appointment. (NOTE: When you call, be prepared to hear appx 3 minutes of a recorded advertisement message ... before there's any chance of anyone answering.) Nonetheless, a nice lady eventually answered and re-directed my call to dispatch where appointments are made. After a 7-8 minute hold, no answer. I called back, spoke with the same lady, however, this time she sent a message to dispatch with the details of my situation, the estimate particulars, and a request that they call me asap. I waited until mid-morning of the next day and still did not get a return call. Frustrated, I reached out to a local plumber; he looked at the situation and said he'd take care of it for $175 and that the job shouldn't take any longer than 30 to 40 minutes. (He located the part at Home Depot at a cost of $35.) Bottom line, my initial suspicions were proven correct. My advice, do not trust Snell, call another group instead. You'll save considerable money and will save tons of aggravation.

The technician came in as scheduled. He looked at the issues and mentioned that the part needs to be replaced and said he will check whether he got them in stock. After this he never responded.
Really I don't see any value in the service.

Great job by Allied. Responsive, on time and did everything we needed at a reasonable price! We had four separate issues all solved in about an hour. Highly recommended.

Best repair experience ever! Came home at night to find our furnace dead. They came out first thing in the morning (because there was no option for sourcing parts at night). We made the decision to replace the old furnace, and they had it done within a couple of hours on New Year's Eve!
Communication was the best- every step was explained with honest assessments of the situation. And they left the place as clean as it was before they arrived!
You really couldn't find a better professional!

Professional and timely service! We called on a Sunday night after our AC kicked off and he showed up thirty minutes later. He quickly diagnosed the problem and had us back up and running in 20 minutes. Love to support local businesses and will definitely call upon their services again. Many thanks!
