Best Door Staining in Washington DC

Received four quotes for three major home projects: A complete master bathroom remodel, a new deck, and replacement of a drop ceiling with sheetrock and repair of a water-damaged wall in a guest bedroom.
The first three quotes were from high end remodelers. A friend recommended Allen Geoffrey's Handyman Services to us (she had just had her bathroom remodeled). Geoff and his crew (Mark and Brian) came out to survey the jobs. They spent more time with me going over what work we wanted and what our major concerns were. They suggested a comprehensive plan of attack from top to bottom. We were consulted at every step of each of the projects to ensure that our expectations and design elements were incorporated.
Their price quote came in thousands (yes, thousands) of dollars less than the three previous quotes. While they don't provide the design assistance of the high end contractors, they met us at a big box contractor store and helped us color-coordinate our design interests. They took care of ordering all the various pieces parts needed and got us a significant discount on materials.
First, they replaced the deck to install flashing (that the previous home owner neglected to do), that led to the water damage in the guest bedroom. The deck was brought up to code and revealed serious problems with the previous deck installation.
After the deck was done, the crew split off into two teams, one working on the master bathroom, the other, working on the guest bedroom.
The crew took care of hauling off all old materials and cleaned up after each day. The work was first-rate.
As with any major home project, unexpected/unforeseen problems arise. While removing the water-damaged sheetrock in the guest bedroom, major water damage was discovered to the exterior wall. Geoff gave me a very reasonable labor estimate to repair the wall. That wall is now the strongest in the house.
They show up when expected, every day, until the job is done.  They go beyond what is expected to ensure that the client is happy with the direction the project is headed.
I highly recommend these master plumbers. I guess my highest endorsement is that, when our kitchen cabinets come in, Geoff and his crew will be doing our complete kitchen remodel (again, coming in thousands of dollars less than the high-end contractors). If you need any work done to your home, give them a call. They will not disappoint you.

Absolutely terrible. We hired them to power wash and stain (solid stain) our deck. After they were done staining it looked worse than before they started! Paint/stain was in big clumps everywhere & some sections of paint/stain actually started to peel right off after 1 day. When I called to ask them to come re-do it, the owner, Jose said Well, do you have more work for us? I had to argue with him to come make it right! Finally they came & re-did it. It looks better (not perfect by any means) but after 3 days it was chipping again! I think they use the cheapest product on the market. Deck stain should not chip when we simply walk on it. It's pointless to have them come back again. Will never use them again.

This is the fourth project that Lee and his team have done for me.  My first was when I moved back home after hip replacement surgery and needed some modifications needed to make my townhouse safer.  They installed a pocket door between my bedroom and bath to allow for safer access instead of the smaller standard door.  And they replaced the handrails on both stairs, adding extra rails to make turning the corners safer.  

My most recent project was to have my deck replaced with composite decking, new gate and replacement of the trim around my French patio doors.  Lee worked very hard with me to get the color of decking I wanted to use - whitewash cedar.  Although the order was delayed a couple of times, he kept me in the loop, and surprised me with an email saying the order was in, and they could come tomorrow (Wednesday May 11).

Eber and Carlos showed up promptly at 8 AM, and efficiently torn off the old deck and proceeded to ensure all of the post and framework left was safe and secure. By the end of the day (and as others have said, they worked until the job was complete), I had a beautiful new deck!

I check with Lee that evening, and the same great crew came back the next day to complete the project.  Again, excellent work, and one of my favorite parts is how well they always clean up, and make sure everything looks better than when they started.
