Received four quotes for three major home projects: A complete master bathroom remodel, a new deck, and replacement of a drop ceiling with sheetrock and repair of a water-damaged wall in a guest bedroom.
The first three quotes were from high end remodelers. A friend recommended Allen Geoffrey's Handyman Services to us (she had just had her bathroom remodeled). Geoff and his crew (Mark and Brian) came out to survey the jobs. They spent more time with me going over what work we wanted and what our major concerns were. They suggested a comprehensive plan of attack from top to bottom. We were consulted at every step of each of the projects to ensure that our expectations and design elements were incorporated.
Their price quote came in thousands (yes, thousands) of dollars less than the three previous quotes. While they don't provide the design assistance of the high end contractors, they met us at a big box contractor store and helped us color-coordinate our design interests. They took care of ordering all the various pieces parts needed and got us a significant discount on materials.
First, they replaced the deck to install flashing (that the previous home owner neglected to do), that led to the water damage in the guest bedroom. The deck was brought up to code and revealed serious problems with the previous deck installation.
After the deck was done, the crew split off into two teams, one working on the master bathroom, the other, working on the guest bedroom.
The crew took care of hauling off all old materials and cleaned up after each day. The work was first-rate.
As with any major home project, unexpected/unforeseen problems arise. While removing the water-damaged sheetrock in the guest bedroom, major water damage was discovered to the exterior wall. Geoff gave me a very reasonable labor estimate to repair the wall. That wall is now the strongest in the house.
They show up when expected, every day, until the job is done.  They go beyond what is expected to ensure that the client is happy with the direction the project is headed.
I highly recommend these master plumbers. I guess my highest endorsement is that, when our kitchen cabinets come in, Geoff and his crew will be doing our complete kitchen remodel (again, coming in thousands of dollars less than the high-end contractors). If you need any work done to your home, give them a call. They will not disappoint you.

I hired this company to come out and repaint the exterior of my house.  I left a message for someone to call me about a paint job.  As with most painting contractors it seems you always have to leave a message to get someone out for a quote.  The owner of this company called me back promptly and I had left messages at about a half dozen paint companies.  The rest called me back over the course of a week or two. My job had already been completed by JA painting by the time most of them returned my call.  The owner is the one that came out and gave me the quote.  It was not a big job so he said he could fit me into the schedule on the upcoming weekend.  The price seemed fair and the man was very nice and courteous.   The owner (can't recall his name) came out when his crew was getting started and he popped back in several times over the day to check on things.  I think he probably has a couple crews working different jobs at once.  The english proficiency of the work crew at my house left something to be desired but I did not have to talk to them very much.  They did do a good job and were professional.  I will use them in the future if I need more painting done.

We contacted Lee D Home Repairs to fix our door jamb, he was very punctual and came with his partner to finish the job more quickly than expected! Our door is back to normal and works better than before. I called several repair places, and I always get operators who didn't know exactly how much it would cost me, and it was difficult to schedule, and too expensive, because they charge by the hour. When I called Lee, it went straight to his cell phone and I spoke to him in person, he gave me an estimate that was fixed priced with materials and not hourly, like other places. Lee was reasonably priced in comparison to all of the other repair places I called.

Update: We noticed a minor gap with the door, which needed just a minor tweak, I called Lee, and he was so quick to respond to take a look at the problem, he came the following business day to take a look and fixed it right away! Talk about quick turn around and customer service!
