I asked on my neighborhood Facebook page for references for ac repairman. I was actually given a different guy's name and he ended up sending me Kelvin with Rivera's Home Improvement! After meeting and doing business with Kelvin, I know it was divine intervention, because he was a God send! I ended up needing a new unit outside. Which could have been stressful to even think about due to expenses, but Kelvin is as honest as they come and doing business with him was a true blessing to me and my family. I now have a new unit, 2 days later. He showed up first thing in the morning just like he promised and my home is currently cooling in the low 70's and I now have a new 10 year warranty on my unit! I will never call anyone else about ac/heating ever again! I can't praise him or his company enough! No stress involved! I highly recommend him for your ac/heating work! You'll be glad you did

We contracted Home Care VB when my mom needed someone to install a storm door. Ashlee responded to my inquiry within an hour, went to mom's the next day to see what was needed, and was able to get Justin out the next day (Sunday). Response time clearly exceeded all expectations and the project was completed in record time. Justin even set up my mom's new umbrella while he was there. My mom is so thrilled with her new outdoor living extension. Her feedback... Justin was very polite, respectful, and a very good worker who does very good work. Before Justin left she asked him about what he could do and has a list ready for the next project. We are extremely pleased with our experience and very happy to know we can rely on such an outstanding, dedicated, professional,  skilled, and reliable contractor.

Came out and looked at plumbing job I needed. Agreed to date to do the work. 3 weeks later after 3 no shows told me they were understaffed and referred me to someone else.

Very unprofessional customer service. I've used them before with other rentals I own but after today this will be my last. Beware of high charging prices and if you call them out on it expect not to get any of the services you needed done.

Your first statement of, had been our client for a while should have made you reconsider providing the services that I requested regardless of the dollar amount. To address the dollar amount, your business has done work for me before ranging from a mere (your words) $180 to over $3000. So with that being said, why would that mere 100 dollars be a problem seeing that you stated I had been our client for a while? Also, I never once stated that I shared your estimate with anyone-- for that wouldn't make good business sense on my end. Think about it, why would I share your estimate with anyone just so they can offer a lower (yet still rip-off price) just to beat you out. What I stated was that I asked another professional contractor painter  (not a guy working out of his truck like you stated) how much he would charge me to paint and patch the holes throughout the house. Unsurprisingly, he priced me with less than half of what your business was going to charge me. You stated that your business called me because you wanted to go through the estimate with me to negotiate, that statement is false. The statement that was said to me was, we will not be doing a $100 worth of work when we quoted you at $3,500. Now since you would like to bring up unethical practice into this conversation, not once did I discuss your pricing with any of your so-called competitors, however I will tell you what is unethical...charging me prices of $50 to $105 just to adjust a toilet flushing chain and replace a shower head. I will tell you what is true about your statement though, I definitely will not being doing any business with you again and I'll be sure not to remain silent about your unprofessionalism of your business. They were responsive when we needed someone out there, but I would not agree that their prices are fair.  We also had to call them out to fix two lines that they previously were supposed to have repaired.  Instead of honoring their workmanship and fixing what they failed to properly fix the first time, they billed us an additional service charge for the second visit.  That may be their policy but I've worked with companies that won't do that and will honor their workmanship from previous visits.  I won't be going back to Jethro Byrd.

We had our AC start blowing hot air ,they came out claimed they fixed it the next day it started doing the same thing they came back out said they fixed it again; three weeks later it went out again called customer service to have somebody come out and they said that their work is not under warranty and we would have to pay for a whole another service call and for them to come out to repair the same thing that they supposedly did two other times. When we had our electricity go out in Virginia power came out and we ask for recommendations on electrical work they said do not trust them they have heard horrible stories from people that have dealt with them

*Matt, you are a liar!!! There is an outstanding balance due to the poor quality in the work that was started!!! I have ALL of our text messages!!! YOU used caulk instead of grout between my tiles in my hallway bathroom!!! The tiles in my master bathroom are NOT flush!!! How do you explain the situation with Toby coming to my house and leaving my doors unlocked and lights on...and then ending up in jail?! How do you explain all of the issues with the pot head Jonathan and his crew that did my floors?! Anyone with common sense would NOT pay the remaining balance until ALL of those things were completed. I also have a message from you saying that I do not have to pay the other half until I LOVE my floors. How do you also explain you leaving the stairs unsafe and my daughter hurting herself. See, anyone with common sense who reads this would know that I didn't FINISH paying you because you DIDN'T fix your half ass crappy work because you're impatient and starting taking on so many jobs. Once again, another lie when I have proof.

Things started out decent...but didn't end so well. A few days into working on my property I received a call from my realtor that my neighbors had been calling the old neighbors to let me know that my door was unlocked and wide open. Come to find out work wasn't done on my house that day, but the guy Toby that Matt employed to do demo went there for personal reasons, left everything unlocked and then ended up in jail. When I went to see what was happening and lock up, I found an air mattress in the top of the closet in the back bedroom...so I don't know what was going on...but something unprofessional was definitely going on there. Things were already in motion and demo had already started...Matt changed the code on my lock box and found other people to help with my home so we moved forward. Toby went to jail (Matt later bailed him out) and Matt had another guy finish the demo. He then had a guy named Jonathan and his crew do my floors. They rushed it and made so many mistakes that are still present. I have so many pictures. On top of that Jonathan attempted to come fix some things (but made them worse) and showed up to my home smelling like marijuana and his eyes were beyond red. Jonathan and his crew are pot heads and are open about this. Matt also knew this because he told me that he tells them I don't mind you smoking but don't let effect your work. I also have messages between Matt and I proving ALL of this. The list of things literally go on. Matt ended up trying to come and fix things but that didn't go so well either because he started rushing and losing patience and he started trying to take short cuts and I wasn't having it. He had to fix the tile that he did in my hallway bathroom and to be cheap he filled it in with CAULK. I have proof of that from our messages as well. He also tried to charge me for a toilet that my mother's plumber installed one Sunday for me. He uses fresh books for estimates and went in there and changed around the original estimate but I took a screenshot when I accept so I have proof. The tile in my master bathroom is so uneven! He did a tacky job with my quarter round on my stair area. He also left things in here unsafe for awhile and my daughter gashed open her toe on a sharp piece of laminate. I have ALL of the pictures and text messages. On top of that a lot of the things are still the same way because I haven't had a chance to find someone to fix them as yet. I even have pictures of where my daughter gashed her toe open. He then tried to get me to finish paying him before he completed everything and fixed everything that was sloppy and tacky. My master bathroom tile has to be completely done over. Jonathan and his crew didn't mix up the floor patterns well enough and there are some spots where the same board is used 5x so it doesn't look natural. I will be glad to share all of the pictures and even allow people to come take a look at his work. Just email me and we can set it up.
