Best Solar Roof/Shingles Repair in Tucson AZ
Very nice technician but somewhat absurd pricing, at least for AC repair. After the fact (my fault) and after doing some research, I realized that I got charged $349 for a $30 part and replacing a part that any handyman could have done. I tried googling the part and couldn't find it. Turns out on the invoice, they list a description of the part (inline current controller) instead of the actual part (?capacitor) and name for the service (which anyone could find in seconds). Feel like I dope for being duped. I understand the need to make a money but charging 10 times for a part is ridiculous. Labor (about 1 hour) was nearly $150 in addition to the service call. Doctors don't even make $150/hour and they save lives!

Thanks for your reply. While I understand the costs of running a business, some markups are unreasonable. This was a weekend call and in this case I think around $300-350 would have been reasonable and adequately covered your company costs and time without gouging the consumer. I uploaded a copy of the invoice.

Three times in the last few months I have had friends and family being price-gouged by Strongbuilt. $1000+ for a Thermostat. $1000 for a capacitor. $7000 for a repair (ended up being repaired for a fraction of that which included no major parts). The individual in question was an 88 year old veteran who had to start a gofundme because he trusted the estimate. My parents paid $500 for a thermostat, and while I'm certain it could have been done for half that, the thermostat is working. So there's that.
