I had some plumbing issues when I first purchased my home and called Alternative Plumbing for help. They sent out an estimator to look at my job and provide a quote.  Everything was going smooth, the repair was scheduled and a different team (led by Don) came out to perform the service. They failed to run a gas line to my washer/dryer area, instead they installed a gas line to my electric stove. He insisted that it was my fault and wanted to charge me another $3000 dollars to fix his mistake. Luckily, there were rational people in the office that ultimately told him to complete the first job by installing a line to my dryer without additional charges. He did not want and seemed extremely upset over the decision. I wonder to myself how many times this has happened before. This is a good company with a few bad apples.  Be careful!

I called to have a winter furnace inspection done and scheduled for the following week. Technician arrived and performed inspection and found a faulty heat exchanger and made all arrangements, fixed problem and all work was done. I have no complaints about work. I received my bill for $735 and since the heat exchanger was under warranty and shipping was $75 and there was a maximum 3-4 hours of work (1 hour at my house and some assembly in their shop) I asked why bill was so high. I was told you were quoted that was the price

I try to be fair, honest and reasonable and this company IS NOT. The price is outrageous.

Plumber came out the same day and fixed my gas leak. I have absolutely no complaints. I'd definitely use them again.

Awful communication and follow up. The initial service call in December went well enough, but it's been like pulling teeth to get any response on additional work that was needed. I've called at least four times in the last 5 months and each time I've been promised a call back, yet silence. Disappointed since most of their reviews have been positive, I guess I'm just unlucky. I wouldnt recommend them based on my experience.

We absolutely love love love Ron!  We had a bad contractor come in and remodel our master and main baths.  The second contractor was almost as bad as the first however the one bright spot was they brought in an independent plumber (Ron).  Ron fixed the hot and cold water lines being switched, a drain that was backing up into our shower and a few other things.  When contractor two walked out without finishing the job because we wouldn't make the last payment until the job was done.  The same contractor tried to hang Ron out to dry.  We called Ron to let him know what was going on and he helped us out.  I have had him do a couple of other jobs and would hire him over and over.  As a female I don't always trust contractors without my husband around when it comes to quotes.  I would trust Ron time and again even without my husband.  He was great with our kids and pets too!  I would hire Ron hands down before any other plumber.

It's hard for a man like me to admit this, but today, my big, bad snake just wasn't big and bad enough to accomplish the task.

99% of the time, I get the job done up in this crib...you know what I'm saying.   But today, I came up short.  

You see, the clog (a Hot-wheel suspended in long female human hair, and, about 30 baby wipes) was located 45 feet from my toilet.  My 25 foot drill-powered drain snake couldn't reach the clog, and, fecal material was backing up into my shower.  

I didn't think the backup was that big of a deal, but my wife was dismayed about it, soooooo...

So I called William Murray (or as Tallahassee from Zombieland would say Goddamn it, Bill fuckin' Murray!!)  THIS Bill Murray, however, is not an actor, he's the real thing.  He's the owner/operator of Professional Plumbing and Drain, in Swanton, Ohio.  

Bill was very friendly and extremely professional.  His fees were fair, and he left the job site cleaner than he found it.  Speaking of fees: he was honest and upfront about the cost of the job; he didn't try to pull any shit (no pun intended) regarding mark ups or hidden charges.  When I asked him what was his range of operations, he said pretty much all of northwest Ohio, and then some.

Bill, thanks for fitting me into your already-loaded schedule and coming out on the coldest day of the winter to get the job done. Hopefully, it will be a while before I need such services again, but when I do, you'll be the guy I call.

Initially he was great.  Made a 2nd appoinment to start work.  He even called to change time the day before, then he pulled a NO CALL/NO SHOW.  Still NO response to my subsequent inquiries.

I've used Peters Plumbing for any plumbing issues and for heating and air conditioning.  i also used them at work in an historic building.  They have always been reliable and trustworthy.  So grateful that I can trust having a company to call on for their honesty and consistently good work.

We called them for an issue and there were supposed to give us an estimate to fix the bigger problem the next day. They never contacted us. We tried to contact them for several days and still no response. After they left things are worse than before they came and they will not return our calls. Do not use this company.

I have used Rooter Man several times and was always pleased, until now. One of the workers showed up to unclog a kitchen drain, had issues and left. They were to return the next day. I got a call early that said they would be there around noon. No show, no call. I called around 4:30 and told them to wait until the next day. Again, no show. I called a few times and they would not answer the phone. They did call me  around 6:15 and said they would be there in 15 minutes. I told them I was done with them and not to come. They left me hanging for 2 full days, probably on a job that paid more ? Anyway I can no longer recommend them to anyone. This is now way to do business, especially with a return customer.

1. Know that appointment times will be put off if higher paying job presents itself
2. No call and no showed a number of times
3. Left a job in worse shape than when it started because.... Didn't measure all of the parts .... Kinda handyman, contractor, etc 101
4. Did an estimate that job would be completed for a price- failed to measure then claimed it was too difficult. Well 1rst why'd you say you could do it and second was it really that it could not be done or that you botched measurements and didn't want to put more time/money into a job that was botched by the business.
5. Don't walk run to someone else basically refused to fix the situation
Had wild stories as excuses on why things weren't done on time .... Not worth the time. Very personable but it's a con!

Called Fri, Nov 5, requesting a plumber ASAP, as an outside pipe for the sprinkler system had sprung a leak and was flooding our side yard. Was told on the phone that someone would be there later that day (or early the following day) to fix the valve. Address and phone number were confirmed, but no one showed up or called that day. Texted the following morning to remind them of the address and the need to get someone here at their earliest convenience. No response to the text and no one showed up that day either. (We paid extra for a different plumber to come out on a Sunday to repair the valve.) Disappointed with the unprofessionalism of this business and would not recommend.
