Best System Maintenance in San Francisco CA

Tromborg Royal replaced our 43 year old furnace with a new one. They were prompt, professional and reasonable. Bryant, the technician, clearly knows his work. He put in a full day and returned to finish up as promised the next day. We are delighted with our new, energy efficient furnace!  It feels really good to have found a local, family owned business we can rely on for any future plumbing or heating needs. We will recommend them again and again!

Steven and his crew showed up on time, found out the cause of our flooding and quickly came up with solutions to fix it. They even noticed some problems with the existing plumbing that the city inspector didnt even see! It's my first time ever needing to call a plumber and honestly it couldn't have gone better! This place has excellent customer service and smart and professional employees.

Pipe under kitchen sink sprung a leak on the Tuesday before Thanksgiving around 5:30 pm. Called a plumber we'd used before; they answered but kept hanging up on me. Then I remembered Flow Masters, which had serviced our condo before as well. Connor answered right away, was his usual cheery and friendly self, and arranged for us to be serviced the next morning at 8 am.

Willie arrived on time the next morning, was friendly and efficient, and took care of another minor issue for us (no extra charge).

We've used many plumbers in S.F. over the years, with spotty results. Flow Masters is our top choice from now on!

We reached out to replace our smoke detectors (reaching end of life, annoyingly sounding off periodically).  They scheduled us for the very next morning, and Richard showed up right in his designated time slot. He was courteous and knowledgeable.  He diagnosed the situation quickly, and had replaced the whole system in no time. He was so good that we asked him to fix another electrical problem we were having with a light switch (which he also did quickly and efficiently).  Strongly recommend.  Thanks Richard.

We had a 2 year decision-making process for what to do with our HVAC, and Pete at Bellows went above and beyond giving us estimates for varying options and talking us through it. Originally we just wanted to add air conditioning to our existing gas furnace, but later we asked about replacing our old furnace as well, and Pete suggested an electric heat pump instead of conventional AC. Long story short, his suggestions were spot on, the install crew was fantastic, and the end result is better than we imagined. The city inspector was impressed, and when I told him it was Bellows, he knew their work and also had positive comments about them in general. I have no hesitation recommending them.

Best decision ever, hiring this crew to replace a couple ancient cast iron boilers. He worked very intelligently to tie in a modern mod/con boiler with my gorgeous old radiators. Everything is working perfectly. Very happy. I made a lengthy search of boiler/radiant companies, and they were all scared to take on my project, or they were overpriced, or they didn't seem very knowledgeable or patient. Innovative scored on each of those. Highest recommendation!

My roof had been leaking for years near the chimney, and we couldn't figure out what the problem was. We had our roof changed, but the problem persisted.

Last year, since we were home due to the pandemic, I decided to call up roofers to get an estimate. To be honest, the others were willing to give a free estimate; however, Eco Smart does charge for their roof assessment.
It wasn't cheap, but it was thorough. Erast prepared a report complete with pictures detailing what the issues were, which ones needed to be addressed right away, and which ones could be saved for later. Then, he made it clear it was up to me how I wanted to move forward.

After looking at several reviews, and looking at other companies, we decided on Eco Smart. Yes, they were more expensive, but there is a 20-year warranty on their work. In addition, they had fantastic reviews.

After getting a quote, Erast and his team were very honest about when they could start, since they were still finishing up projects and the rainy weather wasn't optimal.

Erast saw a break between rainy weather and texted me immediately to  confirm whether they could start work.  His crew was on time and very hardworking. They were able to tear down my main roof and rebuild it within few days, before the rain and holidays. They also covered up any problem areas to ensure the rain wouldn't get in. As the first major rain of the season came, I was a little nervous. However, it worked wonderfully!! Erast even contacted me to check in about the roof.

After the rain took a break, Erast and his team returned to work on the rest of the roof and problem areas. Some issues came up that we weren't aware of, but Erast told me what my options were and we made some adjustments.

When they were done, Erast came back to show me all the work they had done, and what I'd need to do each year to keep the warranty active.

We've been having quite a few atmospheric rivers lately, and I'm happy to say the roof is still standing strong with no leaks in the house!

We had an issue at our heating system and the guys got here the next day and completed the repairs and also serviced the full system, which was long over due (my bad). Can not recommend them enough.

Just over three years ago we had them install a sump pump in our driveway. They put a metal grate over it and I asked if that would catch the debris that would inevitably fall through. The guy told me it would be fine and not to worry about it. Three years later after our big rains, the driveway flooded. It was under about 6 to 7 inches of water for many hours. After siphoning out the water, I saw that the pump was running but not working and had spewed oil inside the hole. This was an almost new pump that they had installed. I called them to come and check it out and they told me the pump needed to be replaced since there were more rains coming. I paid them another $1200 to put in a new pump. it feels like a racket and I'm disappointed the company did not take any responsibility for installing a pump that only lasted for three years without giving me any instruction or guidance on how to maintain it and implied that no maintenance was necessary. They acted like it was my fault when they told me there was nothing I needed to worry about. I am disappointed in this customer service.

I was grumpy having to deal with a plumbing problem/emergency on my building and called O'Grady's since I had seen the their colorful trucks. Unexpectedly this guys were great, clean-cut, professional and efficient. Saved the day, AAA of Plumbing! Refer them any time!

I want to give credit to a family owned local business where credit is due!!  First, I want to thank Felix and Fred (in the picture) for their professional attitude and prompt service.  Now, to tell my tale of woe.  I live out in San Lorenzo Village so naturally looked to STAR Rooter because they are local and the addresses on their web site are near my home.  Last month we had unusually heavy rains in a short span of time and our old house to street sewer line settled and shifted and dirt got in through the seams of the old (70 years old) ceramic pipes.  Therefore we had brackish water backed up to our house drains.  That was NOT a good experience.  I won't give you the details except to say that Felix came out within an hour of being called and used a high pressure hose to clean the sediment of the pipes.  He then scoped the pipes so we could inspect their condition on the monitor.  The misalignment and cracks were clearly visible.  Verdict:  The pipe needed to be replaced or else we faced another backup in the near future.  They would need to be replaced sooner or later so we opted for sooner so we could sleep well at night (and flush when we got up in the morning).  They gave us a great price (well below the franchise sewer service everyone knows about) and scheduled us for this week.

They told us they would be here by 0730 and unlike most every other contractor, plumber etc. I have dealt with, they actually showed up early (by 0715).  They had their equipment out and were set up and ready to go by 0830.  Two holes were dug -- one in the yard and one across the street at the sewer connection.  By 1100 they had the trenchless replacement sewer installation ready to go.  By 1145 the replacement pipe was installed and all that was needed was to complete the backflow plug and access plugs.  The cleanup and inspection was done by 2:30 p.m.  Other sewer companies take two or three days (I know, I watched them do the neighbor last year).

For those who don't know trenchless means they don't have to rip up your landscaping and sewer pipes can be installed by being pulled through the old sewer pipe and destroying it in the process.  There are many youtube videos on how this is done..

Sewer pipe replacement is something most of us will need to do sooner or later.  If you live in older housing (like I do) it will be sooner.  Even if you live in housing built in the 70's or even 80's you can expect problems eventually.  When the time come, I would highly recommend STAR Rooter.  You can go to their website and leave a message about your problem.  The dispatcher (Mary) will contact someone who will call you and schedule an evaluation and estimate within an hour.  I unconditionally recommend them.  I couldn't be happier.  I will post pictures as soon as I download them.

Nahman people are great.  They have done (or re-done behind someone else) most of the plumbing, hvac, and gas work in our house.  You really do get what you pay for- attention to detail, thoughtfulness about the job, courtesy, consistency in their knowledge and opinions, cleanliness, promptness and a well organized office.  They seem to stay with the company for long times, and they consult with each other when needed.  I am so happy to be able to call them when we need plumbing work done.  Good advice about products too!

Everyone was so helpful and accommodating and they fixed my drain clog in 1 minute. Highly recommend!

They just completed our sewer-lateral overhaul for Alameda Co. compliance.  Service is professional, amicable, and transparent  ((quoted price for the work and final invoice were nearly identical))  Also, our sewer lateral was especially deep-down, but was apparently no problem for Will and his crew.   10/10 would recommend, and will certainly be calling them back for internal plumbing work in the coming months.

Very professional and great customer service. Furnace wasn't turning on intermittently. Easy to schedule. Honest about what I needed and what I didn't need. Reasonably priced.

Daniel and his team have done a lot of work for us over the last ~10 years including water heater, installing new toilet and even clearing pipe which caused flooding. He is professional, tells me where to get best supplies and work is 100% high quality. If he installs something, it is done well and I do not have to follow up about that item, maybe never. I can't believe I've never written a review for them. Highly recommend!

Rafael is Super responsive for emergency.  Repair couple of clogs on 2 different properties on the same day. Will definitely use their service again!

Our faucet's handle was difficult to operate making it hard to turn on and off the water as well as the faucet was many years old and not working as well as it should have been. Majid answered my Yelp request super quick and was able to schedule when it was best for us. We were not in any rush but he still scheduled us the next day which was great!

He walked me through what would be the best solution and different prices. He came in at the lowest price for labor and finding the parts that we wanted across all the requests I made.

When he arrived he was professional, quick, and on time! When he showed me the invoice, it was detailed and showed every step that was taken and provided warranty on the labor. I kept his business card and will use him again if anything pops up!
