BEWARE! I needed a plumber for 2 easy repairs- a loose kitchen faucet and a leaky toilet reservoir.  I contacted Home Advisor who soon had a number of plumbers calling me to accept the job.  Mr. Rooter responded immediately and offered to come quickly and at a convenient time, so we hired them.  Their man, Chris E., came on time and sized up the job, then quoted us a price of $120 which we accepted.  Inside of an hour and after supplying just a flapper and several washers, the job was done, but Chris told us that because he couldn't find the quoted price on his i-padt that he would need to charge us $206!  How's that for a bait and switch!  Furthermore, rather than argue the price, we paid, then discovered that the toilet problem persisted, so I called to get Mr. Rooter back to fix and they promised to get back to me. That was a week ago and the last I ever heard from them.  We also asked to have the receipt emailed to us, but, surprise- no receipt either.  These folks are cheating SOB's and incompetent to boot.  Hire them at your own risk!!!

Tromborg Royal replaced our 43 year old furnace with a new one. They were prompt, professional and reasonable. Bryant, the technician, clearly knows his work. He put in a full day and returned to finish up as promised the next day. We are delighted with our new, energy efficient furnace!  It feels really good to have found a local, family owned business we can rely on for any future plumbing or heating needs. We will recommend them again and again!

We had water coming out from carpet who help on finding root cause going down crawling space and up attic then open the wall. thanks Luis help on stop leaking 1/13/2021.

Five Star Plumbing was the best.  They were recommended yanother highly rated plumber for a water heater repair that he did not want to do.
They called me right back when I called them and were at my house in a half hour.  Took a look at the water heater, told me what the problem was, got the part in less than a half hour and were back to fix it.  Took no time at all, and all good again.
Saoul and David were professional, polite and very personable.  Will definitely call them again.

If Superman was a plumber, I'm pretty sure I just found him. Edgar came by to fix a leaky copper pipe after hours. Earlier in the day I tried another plumber who tried 3 times to solder the pipe without success. That plumber said I needed a plumber with a special copper pipe crimping tool and left the pipe leakier than he found it such that my upstairs tenants we're going to be without hot water for the night.

So I found Pipe Arts on Yelp and called at 7:30pm. The proprietor, Edgar, sounded pretty confident over the phone but I was worried about being billed for a lot of work or work that couldn't be done without a special tool. Edgar reassured me that he wouldn't charge me if he couldn't get it done, so I only had to fear that it might take several hours to fix. Edgar got here and went straight to work. He properly assessed the issue and had a smart approach to completely draining the water from the pipe, which he said was a critical issue and it sounded like the previous plumber wasn't able to do. Then Edgar did a careful and thorough soldering job on every joint in the vicinity of the leak. After that we turned the water back on and viola: leak fixed! Hooray! It took him 45 minutes total. Fantastic! Brilliant! Superman exists and he drives a van with the Pipe Arts logo on the side. Thank you, Edgar!

Fantastic, this company had their agent come out on Fourth of July and did a fantastic job. I gave them five stars. It was so hot and he was in the attic for an hour and I have to say with a great attitude I absolutely recommend them.

They recently installed a Mitsubishi split air system in my Oakland loft. The service has been friendly, professional and competent. The quote I received was more than reasonable, the installation was very clean/looks great, and they stand by their work if you have any issues. These guys have experience installing this great technology, and it being slow to catch on here in the US it's hard to find a lot of folks like this. Plus--I have AC in the summer and heat in the winter in a home that is difficult for temperature control.

I recommend looking into a ductless split air system if you have trouble keeping your home comfortable, and I highly recommend Harry Clark Heating and Plumbing to do the job.

I have a toilet that wasn't flushing well.  This was the first plumber to tell me that I didn't need to do build a new sewer pipe.  Bill was very matter-of-fact and charged me fairly.

We needed to replace a water heater and asked around for some quotes. STK was by far the most reasonable and was able to come out the next day. He didn't try to add on any costs or try to bait and switch the estimate which what the other guys tried to do to me. He came in and did the work and everything seems fine all at a price that was very affordable considering the work needed.

My husband and I were very happy with their service.  We called them out for a clogged drain.  The man who came was so quick and efficient--he had our laundry room drain cleared in no time, and then he proceeded to fix two other items that had been troubling us for a long time: a loose faucet handle in the bathroom and a leaking/dripping hot water heater relief thingy.  All this he resolved in a single service call for the minimum trip charge.  We couldn't have been happier.

My bathroom sink was clogged. I called and they offered to come that evening or next morning for a lower price. I chose the next morning. They were punctual, efficient, cleaned up after themselves, and polite. Will def hire again. Thanks!

Called Golden Coast Plumbing to repair a copper pipe in my bathroom. Met with Joel. Showed him the issue and he went to work. He was quick and the repair looked good. I can't say enough about the great experience I had with Berkeley Home Repair. First of all, their prices. I originally called them about paint that was flaking off at the bottom of my chimney, in a bedroom. Brian correctly diagnosed the problem as cracks around the roof flashing and at various points on the chimney. The quote they gave to fix the repairs, was, in the words of my real estate agent, a steal, so I hired them to fix it. Brian took care of the problem promptly and I haven't had a problem since. I would hire them again in a hot second for any other contracting work around my home.

Israel came out immediately on a Saturday afternoon and promply cleared out our sewer main backup with a drill snake. He charged me the same as quoted on the phone prior to arrival + a yelp discount. After clearing it out he ran a camera through to show me where I have issues with the main line so I could consider how to prevent it next time.  Would recommend for straightforward clean out and inspection work.

Paul at VanGo did an amazing job with an amazing attitude!  My landlord called them as I was having issues with water backing up in my apartment's utility sink.  This was due to a improperly installed pipe with no slope...actually uphill slope!  Paul explained to the landlord it wasn't due to my mis-use of the plumbing it was due to improper installation of what was supposed to fix some broken pipes in the concrete.  This hack fix was performed by some discount plumbing NOT VanGo.  

Anyways, Paul was polite, fast, knowledgeable and got everything done perfectly.  I highly recommend VanGo and especially Paul!

My drain was backed up and I had tried everything. I found EPS on Yelp and they were everything I could've wanted. They made an appointment for a time that worked for me and sent out Paul. He efficient, courteous, professional, and super helpful! I would absolutely recommend these guys and Paul was the best!

I cannot say enough good things about Jim and his company Smart Rooter & Plumbing. Our tenants from our rental property in Alameda called saying that all the toilets in the house are not working. Oh man, all I could hear was '$$$$$' . I called a few different companies to see what the issue could possibly be, and who could address the issue that same day. When I called Smart Rooter and spoke with Jim, he seemed the most knowledgeable, explaining the different possible scenarios and about how much each one would cost. I really appreciated how thorough he was, as I have no idea about such things!! He also was available that day and came over within 1.5 hours! He ended up being able to fix the issue much quicker than I anticipated and the cost was super reasonable. Our tenants were happy, and so was I! I highly recommend Jim and will definitely be using him in the future! When I asked if he ever goes to the South Bay (where we actually live), he told me he goes all over the Bay Area. A good, honest plumber is hard to come by!

This is the best plumbing company ever. I called and was able to have a plumber sent same day and they sent Angel who has 10+ years of experience and could look at the problem and immediately figure it out. It was a delicate and complex issue with both the water heater and the gas connector cable and he was able to come back the next day with all supplies needed and do a fantastic job. Above and beyond. I can't recommend enough.
