Tromborg came right away, assessed the work that needed to be done and made an appointment to fix our plumbing two days later.  A big section of our kitchen plumbing needed to be replaced due to a leak, corroded pipes and incorrect plumbing design (is that what you would call it?).  Anyway, it took them nearly all day to replace (it was a lot of work) plus they found a blockage in our pipes and cleared it!

Open disclaimer: I've known Joel since he was my middle school student - brilliant, kind, and honest in every way. My favorite memory is of him performing a biology rap in front of the whole class. I've watched him navigate high school and post-secondary and it's been incredibly impressive to watch him grow this small business in this short amount of time. He is always with you respond, gracious with his service, and fair with his quotes. He's also incredibly smart, which I haven't had to make use of yet, but I know will be important when there's issues beyond just your basic plumbing/rooter job.

Bay Rooter Plumbing came to check out my sewer lateral in the rain.  I had a house full of guests.  I'd already heard that my hedge had cracked my 1924 terra cotta pipes, so it was time to replace my sewer lateral.  The first sewer lateral company I called did not have a special pipe camera and they were not nearly as nice as Israel.  
I wanted to see exactly what the situation was.  Using his special camera, Israel showed me what my pipes looked like leading up to my home.  He also showed me what the sewer system looked like under the street.  
The pipes from the sidewalk clean-out into the street did not meet the adjoining pipe.  There was about a 3' gap between the City's pipes.  All the sewage dumped into a big hole under the street!  At the far end of the hole we saw the opening of the distal pipe where the City's sidewalk pipe was supposed to connect! (You really want a sewer lateral company with a special camera.)
For 30 years, my neighbor and I had been dealing with the problems that hole under the street had caused.  Thanks to Israel and his camera, we knew exactly what to tell the City, what was needed to fix our decades-long problems.  They knew, but we didn't know, so it was never fixed correctly.
Israel replaced my sewer lateral in the rain.  It took a few hours and was completed perfectly at both ends.  I checked it out before the crew departed.  The thick-walled new pipe is good for 100 years.
A few days later, without a call from me, when the rains stopped, Israel returned and raked and shoved my garden where it looked like elephants had trampled it, due to all the deep mud.  He worked until he was satisfied it was as good as his garden looks.  
I was extremely pleased and grateful he was so conscientious and considerate.
If and when I have any plumbing problems, I'm calling Israel.

We got a storm drain(gutter) problem and it caused flood in our basement. I called JJ rooter & plumbing. Jorge showed up on time and told me why it happened and what I should do. Also he gave me some options. Next week he and his crew came to our house and fixed everything perfectly within our budget. They are very friendly, knowledgeable and hard workers. We have some more projects with our house and definitely we will ask Jorge to help us again. Thank you, Jorge!

Guy wouldn't give me a quote until I told him what floor we lived on. Seems a little unfair to charge people for what floor they live on. When I asked how the floor I live on affected the quote, he got upset with me. I thought it was a fair question. They may have a very competent service. I will never know.

Had some work done under my house and needed dedicated electrical run for two points. I went with Pacific as I do not want unexpected issues down the line. They were very accommodating and knowledgeable. I appreciated their honesty and effort to get the job completed as expected. Rogelio was very professional and upheld high standards as he went about his work. Not cheap but who wants cheap electrical work in their walls? I will use them again when needed.

Came quickly for an emergency, fixed my leak in 30mins, charged me exactly what he quoted.  He wore covers on his shoes, didn't damage or scratch anything with his heavy equipment.  Solid service.

I called, sent a photo of an outdoor pipe I've wanted replaced (it was an eyesore), got a quote within minutes and an appointment in a couple days. They were polite and professional, on time, completed the work beautifully at a reasonable price! I also had them service/flush my on-demand water heaters, and they noticed a cracked pipe that they fixed on the house! Nice to know that I have a responsible, reliable plumber on speed dial!!

two  weeks ago...i removed my one star..............now.....twice this week mon..and today..wed.
he was suppose to show.... to finish the job......

Eddie came out last Friday, diagnosed and shared the photos of the sewer line problem under the house and running to the street. He and his team have spent the last two days repairing /replacing the main line and outside clean outs on a 70 yr old system across my house. They were on time, very skilled and charged me appropriately. He replaced the garbage disposal as well. I am so grateful that I could be fit in within days, and a big job was very well done with photos to show before/after. Thank you Eddie for your professionalism and expertise. I had a great experience with Avalon Services. When Juan came to give me a quote he took a lot of time to explain what needed to happen and why. Scheduling was easy and communication was great from start to finish. Christian was on time, respectful, and did a fantastic job.

I used Gateway Rooter recently to fix an issue of smell in the garage.  Old house, we had no idea which direction the sewer line was running.   Daniel, the owner did a great job.    Work was done timely and well. His price was fair.  
He is a very nice person and would use his service again if needed.
I met with a few other sewer repair companies;  I chose Gateway because I felt he knew what he was doing.   I was not disappointed.

Meno to the rescue! I'm very overdue with this review, but better late than never. On a Sunday morning, two days before Christmas 2018, the toilet gave up the ghost. This was a major crisis, especially since we were expecting about 25 guests the next day! Nobody would even return our calls, let alone come to check out the problem -- except H & R. Meno came over, diagnosed the problem, ran out and bought a new toilet, and installed the thing, all within a few hours. He was fast, efficient, and he saved us from a real disaster. Hopefully, we won't have any plumbing problems for a good long time, but if we do, we'll call H & R for sure.
