After calling two other plumbing companies (both too slow to respond!), I called Tromborg and spoke with Hurschel.  I told him about our clogged drain (this was just before New Year's Day), and Hurschel sent out his plumber the next day.  The plumber was courteous, worked quickly and efficiently and the problem was solved!  I mentioned that my kitchen faucet was difficult to turn off, and the plumber went out, purchased the new faucet and installed it an hour later.  All this done the same day and no waiting.  I recommend Tromborg.

Gabriel was highly-skilled, professional, and honest. He showed up on short notice to help us locate a leak behind a kitchen wall. He did clean work and kept the hole as small as as possible, explaining the problems and his decision-making process as he worked.
Even though we were desperate for help, he didn't try to take advantage of the situation (as other plumbers have). He gave us reasonable, transparent pricing.
It's great to find a plumber you trust! I'm a client for life.

Bader is amazing! I reached out to several potential service providers through Yelp! for some work on my parents' house. I needed someone to install, tape, and mud a fair amount of drywall; to install kitchen appliances; and to install kitchen cabinets. I remodeled a house and needed to install a completely new heating system. Harry Clark  patiently worked with me during the project, and their design was the most innovative compared with other estimators. That was seven years ago, and they have maintained the system annually since then. They have been very professional and reliable, especially compared with other heating companies in the area.

We have used Steven from Wizard Plumbing in the past and needed him again today for several minor plumbing issues.  He was prompt, capable, extremely efficient, and pleasant.   Pricing for the services was once again competitive. I highly recommend this very professional plumbing company.

tl;dr: don't trust them when they tell you it's fixed.

I had a small amount of flooding in my basement the day before the New Year's Eve storm, and after rescuing furniture and frantically bailing out the basement, I guessed that probably our sump pump was the problem. We called Plumbing Guys. Their tech came out, looked at the sump, and said that the pump wasn't actually connected to anything (yikes!). He connected it, I asked if it was working now, he said yes, he told me the pump was good, and rushed off. I understood his desire to get to his next job ASAP, since it was without a doubt the busiest night for plumbers in a long time.

The next morning we woke up to find about 3 inches of water covering our basement, high enough to destroy the brand new hot water heater we had installed back in September. So we had to get someone in to replace that / dispose of the broken one, and we had to rip out all of the flooring that we had just installed, and then hire some very expensive water damage remediation folks to help us strip the drywall, set up blowers, test for mold, and so forth.  

While we were bailing out the basement and ripping out the floor,  I called a bunch of other plumbers. Two ended up coming by that day, and both of them  (plus the hot water heater guy, who also took a look) said that the sump pump was very old, filled with dirt, and obviously not able to pump anything like the amount of water required to keep the flood at bay.  If we had known this beforehand -- if Plumbing Guys hadn't assured us that the pump was good -- we could have lowered a utility pump down the sump and drained the house manually every hour or so until the storm passed.

But we trusted Plumbing Guys.

While I was calling around to get plumbers in to fix the pump, I also called Plumbing Guys to ask why their tech hadn't found the problem. They didn't get back to me for over a day, but when they did they sent out a guy (I think the same guy?) who went down, actually pulled up the sump pump, and (just like the other plumbers)  said that the pump was very old, in bad condition, and needed to be replaced immediately.

When I called Plumbing Guys (I think I was speaking with the owner?) about what his guy had said, he said that the pump wasn't old the first day we called, but had aged dramatically over the course of the intervening 36 hours.  He had no coherent explanation for how this might have happened, but was very insistent that anyone who had told me we needed to replace the pump was a liar trying to scam me and that he was the only honest plumber left in the industry.  

He spent a long while sending me paragraphs-long texts on this theme.  I thought this was a very odd use of his time on such a busy night, but ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

I asked him what he was going to do to fix the situation, and he said that he'd give us a 20% discount on installing a new pump. I told him that this was absolutely unacceptable, and said that he should be covering at the very least a large portion of the cost of the damage his company's slapdash work had caused.

He didn't offer anything else until after we posted a yelp review. A couple of minutes after it went up, he texted something about how your wife wrote a novel on yelp but that's okay and texted me a picture of ripped-up scraps of the 250 dollar check I had written him for the initial visit -- i.e. the one where, as far as I can tell, they never looked closely at the pump.

I told him that the cost of the initial visit wasn't the problem, and said again that making this right would require at least in part compensating us for the damage caused by his slapdash work. He said that if he had a pump available, he'd install it for us at a massive, massive discount, but that unfortunately he had no pumps left. Obviously at this point I wasn't that interested in having his people work on the house, but I told him that if he was seriously making an offer to install it for almost nothing, we have a brand new, just-ordered pump he could use.

And that's when he ghosted me.

Fortunately, we were able to get a good plumber in before the next big storm hit. He installed our new pump and verified that the drainage was working properly. Our new pump got us through last night's storm like a champ, with no new flooding whatsoever.  If on the first night we had called that plumber instead of Plumbing Guys, we wouldn't be scrambling right now to find a way to pay 10k or more for remediation.

Berkeley Home Repair did an absolutely fantastic job cleaning up & repairing the dangerous mess of old wiring in our nearly 100 year old home (there was some knob and tube stuff in the basement that had probably been down there since the house was originally built!) as well as installing some new electrical in our garage. Damon, Roberto & Trish truly went above and beyond for us and even voluntarily took care of some other things for us which we didn't know needed fixing. The work was thorough, organized and cleanly done, communication was exceptional, everyone was professional and super friendly.

It's apparent that these really folks understand that the smart way to build a local business is to create strong, positive relationships with their customers. They are honest, transparent, genuine, and stand by their work. Highly, highly recommended!

Woke up to a puddle of water surrounding the water heater in the house we rent, which needed to be replaced. Sitting here less than 5 hours from placing the call, I have hot water again. Great guys and efficient service. I will call them again should we need them!

We have used Flow Masters for our plumbing for a few years now and they have always been responsive and always seem to get to the root of the problem. Recently we had a burst water pipe behind a wall at 9:30 on a Sunday night. Long shot, but we called the 24 hour number and Connor, who has overseen work at our house answered the phone.  He patiently walked us through how to shut off water to the house and was there with his crew, along with our contractor, who removed the soaked sheet rock, first thing the next morning and replaced the rusted elbow joint the correct way. We then decided to fix a long standing problem with our drain lines which were beneath the floor of the same room and he spent the next week replacing pipes and grading it properly. All told, to be as responsive and to schedule us in right away for the additional work is why we love and recommend Flow Masters.

Jorge and Saul worked on my clogged drain pipes (underneath the house).  I had called them on Sunday afternoon.  They came early Monday morning, examined the situation and told me that they would be back after they get the necessary supplies and finish another job they had already scheduled.  They indeed returned that afternoon and worked late, until 9:30 pm, replacing the clogged pipes and also helping me with the installation of a water filter under the kitchen sink.  I was impressed by their hard work.

We bought a new to us home in rural Vacaville with a very nice HVAC system that had a small issue that turned out to be just a maintenance issue I was not aware of. Ramnar returned my call and came out right away in the evening and did a full service check up on our system and even corrected an issue caused by the solar company that inspected our attic for a solar installation. My wife and I moved from the Central Valley to Petaluma two years ago, during the Pandemic.  Our new  house is about 20 years old. We knew that we wanted new appliances but it's difficult to do everything at once on a fixed income. So, long story short; we finally saved up and went out and bought all new kitchen appliances. We found a good price at a big box store near us. The appliances were delivered and some installed, but the house was not set up to accommodate some of the hookups for the gas and/or water requirements. That which could be installed and hooked up, was installed and hooked up. The workers indicated that I was going to need a plumber. I called Gotelli and they sent a man out the same day.
    Tom Anderson arrived and assessed our situation. He also diagnosed a leak inside the garage wall and installed a new water heater! The problems with the appliances were fixed with an expertise and level of ability that is rare in this present day. Along with that, Tom noticed that one of the new appliances had been installed incorrectly. Suffice it to say; Tom did everything right. His affable, easy to like personality stands in the shadow of his old school work ethic, attention to detail and 100% dedication to customer satisfaction and quality service. We could not be more pleased and satisfied with the job and work performed by Tom Anderson beneath the umbrella of the Gotelli Plumbing Company. In this world, you get what you pay for. Gotelli Plumbing is worth a little extra because of the quality and customer service provided. I would not hesitate to call them again for any plumbing related needs.

The price for the work - replacement of a rusted pipe and T joint - was fair and better than several competitors. Will be using them again when there is a plumbing issue .

Z and Z plumbing saved me from desperation. A drain blockage from a nasty grease clog showed up in the middle of a rain storm, and water was pouring out of the p-trap.  I replaced all the external hardware myself -- it took a whole day-- then the wall started leaking. I was about to cut the wall out, and realized that I better summon a professional before my amateur plumbing really backfired. After another plumber left me high and dry, Z & Z sent a technician right away. He fixed my leaky wall  pipe without cutting the wall out and undid my clog too, all in under a few hours. I was expecting to pay thousands, but all my emergency repairs were under 500$. Such a relief!  The plumber was affable, professional and sympathetic. From here on out, they're going to be my #1.
