Best Electrical Panel Installat… in San Diego CA

Dan's detail orientation was the best of any of the project managers I called for a proposal. He was the one who caught an issue with my existing system that required addressing, two other project managers before him missed it.  Dan was the only one who took actual measurements of my home, did an design and gave me an actual SEER and heat efficiency ratings.  The efficiency of the front office was also top notch.

Full disclosure - I ended up not hiring them because they gave me a proposal for a Cadillac option that would have looked beautiful and been the most efficient, but was well beyond what I was able to spend.  Ended up going with the Toyota version with someone else - not as pretty, not as efficient, but does the job.  Nevertheless I feel that they exhibited all the attributes of a top notch business that would have done a great job.

Everyone we interacted with was very nice and courteous.  We called to get a quote to install and electric hot water heater with a heat pump.  The lady on the phone was very committed to scheduling us in and a few hours later, a plumber arrived to give us a quote.

I told the plumber we were interested in getting an electric hot water heater with a heat pump.  I added that we have solar so the solar would cover any electricity we used.  The plumber said, Gas is so cheap.  Electricity is so expensive, you don't want to do that.  Here's where my experience went downhill.  By that comment, it was clear to me that the plumber didn't understand the new techology or was just trying to upsell me.

I got a quote for $4k to install a 50 gallon gas heater or $6k to install a tankless unit.  Two days after the initial visit, I got an itemized breakdown of their gas heater estimate (no itemized breakout for the $6k tankless estimate).  Labor for the regular gas heater was $1,800.  These costs are for all materials and labor.

Anyways, as I mentioned before, everyone I spoke with was nice and friendly.  I wish the plumber hadn't been so dismissive of the new techology and their prices weren't so high.  I ended up getting my electric/heat pump heater installed for about $1k + the cost of the unit $800.  That's correct, my total cost of $1,800 was equal to their labor installation cost.

Summary, nice people.  Seemingly prices on the higher end.

My fan in the bathroom needs replacement. They are quick in response and setting up the appointment, did a great job.

My wife and I were in the middle of a remodel and had bee using another handyman service. The job turned out to be too much for one crew and I called Gunner to help finish up the project. I started to give him  more work when I saw the quality of his work  and professionalism . Very good all around knowledge. We contracted Gunner for some electrical work and ended up having hime finish our garage with drywall, texture and paint. Will be using Anthem again soon on another project. Have already recommended him to my neighbors.
