We've used Metro Heating & Cooling for furnace and AC service for years - they've done annual maintenance, troubleshooting and repairs. Both Tim D and Mike have been our tech/service people and they are great! On time, trustworthy & fair pricing.

Third time I called for service, first time I was disappointed. No phone call or note upon arriving home, so I wasn't sure if anything had been done that day. Also, the scary pipe banging I called about is still there. Sounds like it is about to rip through my wood floors every time it happens... I will fix that myself.
Then three nights ago the drain setting in my sink - that I had them install - popped right off. Don't think that is supposed to happen... I will fix that myself, too. (Dramatic self-pitying sigh).

Always responsive, and professional! They do great work, and they don't try to pressure people or up-sell anything. Highly recommend.

We hired Valley to install new dishwasher and to do some plumbing under our sink. They needed to add an electrical outlet for the dishwasher. We found out that our old dishwasher was plumbed using the cold water line and our refrigerator water was plumbed using our hot water. They completely re-plumbed correctly, replaced other cracked fittings, replaced leaking sink drain. Jeremy started the project and Mike came over to help finish. A total of 7 hours between the two was needed to complete everything. The total bill was just over $400. I thought this price was totally reasonable. I highly recommend Valley Plumbing and I will call them on future projects.

After sending Aart's guy packing, I noticed that both HD and Lowes offered sink installation and had laundry sinks similar to ours with the drain piping included. Lowes referred me to handy.com which quoted me (blind) about $250 to install a brand new sink and haul the old one away. Their tech showed up on time and got the job done in an hour and a half including a strip to HD for a couple of PVC drain adapters. He was pleasant and efficient; I couldn't ask for more. Of course the $129 I paid Aart's for nothing still galls but there's nothing to be done about it. I will try handy.com again

I've had PipeRight install a utility tub, repair a leaky kitchen faucet and fix a cracked fitting under my bathtub, and I am very satisfied with both the quality of work and the quality of the people who performed it. In the first instance, PipeRight spared me the agony of shopping for a utility tub by doing the searching and ordering. The young plumber who did the install was thorough and personable, and he performed the labor on the tub and faucet seamlessly. That he didn't mind being observed and fielding my questions is something that I value from the people who are hired for various home fixes. (You don't have to be keenly sensitive to see that some technicians get irritated when you are standing over their shoulders.) The gentleman who fixed the leak under my bathtub through the narrow confines of a access panel in a bathroom closet was also amenable to fielding my questions, and he kept me informed about what he was doing every step of the way. He worked quickly and efficiently as he stemmed a leak that threatened the integrity of a ceiling.
There's something to be said about family-owned companies as PipeRight is, and I think their level of service in terms of responsiveness and quality is something other companies should emulate. No service-oriented industry is perfect, and I'm sure PipeRight has irked a customer or two along the way. In an age when laxity from many service-oriented companies seems to be the rule rather than the exception, however, PipeRight has my business whenever I need work done.

Wow! They have not been out to do the service yet, but I am completely wowed by their customer service so far. Within 10 minutes of requesting a quote, they provided a fair, upfront total cost. On top of that, they are sending a plumber right away this afternoon. I'm very, very impressed.
Update: awesome, fast service for the price quoted. The technician was super friendly. I highly recommend!

We bought an 85-year-old house and that means one thing - galvanized pipes. Otherwise known as swiss cheese, aka, going to leak and burst whenever I feel like it, aka, go ahead you cheapo and roll the dice and not replace me.
I know a plumber back east and he told get rid of the galvi ASAP. Um, ok. So I called a few plumbers. Some were really cheap, like do the math and you wonder it takes X days and Y material, how do you stay in business? Another big shop in town was very expensive and seemed like they were adding little things here and there to the estimate.
Erickson's guy, Mike, was very nice and was thorough and was clear on not needing things that the other high-priced shop proposed. He explained the residential codes to me and why I did not need certain things. He did preface that this was not going to be cheap. He walked through all the things that needed to be done and how long it took and I realized that this was going to take several days of someone working all day and knocking out walls and ceilings. This was a big project.
Their estimate was expensive, but still about 15% lower than one of the other big guys in town. But, I got a good feeling about them. So I gave Erickson the work.
They came in an installed pex and ripped out all the galvanized across 3 floors of my house. They did an excellent job and would not hesitate having them back in the future.

I needed emergency service when my sewer backed up into my house. They came out promptly and the technician was very knowledgeable and efficient. He fixed the clogged drain and even cleaned up. He was respectful of my home and wore paper booties over his shoes. I will definitely use them again and highly recommend.

We purchased four Nest IQ outdoor cameras for the exterior of our house. On the Nest website it listed their Pro Installers and one of them was Air Mechanical. I did some research on the company and looked at their reviews. All seemed well so I called and Kyle answered the phone. I told him I wanted to schedule an install for four exterior Nest IQ cameras. He mentioned that an appointment was going to be a ways out but that was OK with me. I specifically mentioned that the back of our house will require a two story ladder. He said that he would make sure he noted that and that the installer would have one when they came to do the job. An appointment was scheduled for August 6 between Noon and 5:00pm. I did not receive a confirmation call and today when I hadn't heard anything by 1:00 I called. The lady that answered the phone said I was not on the schedule but that they could get someone out to do our job anyway. About a half hour later I received a call from Brian, their master electrician, he wanted to know more about the job and asked when I was put on the schedule as I wasn't there this morning. I told him the story and he said he'd come over and do our job. I mentioned that the back of our house is two stories and will require a sufficient ladder. It was at this point that he told me it's going to be a two man job and doesn't think today will work but he'll check and either he or the office will get back to me. Well, he called me back and said August 16 between 10:00 and 4:00 is now the soonest they could do our job. I asked him for a rough estimate of what our job will cost and he started rambling about their service plans and how if I spent $159 for the electrical service plan it would save me this and that. I listened for like three minutes straight and couldn't get a word in edgewise. When he finally let me get a word in I asked a few questions and we hung up the phone. Called the office and let them know we will not be rescheduling. Not one person I talked with offered an apology for their error or my inconvenience.
Never. Ever. Ever. Will we think about using this company again. I don't care who recommends them!

DO NOT USE THEIR SERVICES! WORST experience ever. Worse than the stereotypical use car salesman. Lady on the phone wouldn't give me a range, or even an idea of a few basic things I needed done. Guy came out, on time, and quoted me $380 PER SINK to unclog it. Then quoted me $11,000K, YES, 11 THOUSAND to replace 2 water heaters, that cost $400 at Home Depot. Then quoted me $1,000 to fix a leaky outdoor faucet. Tests my water and tells me I have hard water and I need to fix them ASAP. The level was 7 out of 30. 0 being perfect. He said I needed a new water softener which would cost $2500. I told him the city I live in softens the water and we don't need a water softener. If we did, it would cost about $200. But we don't, and that level is perfectly safe and fine. He was trying to scare me into thinking we had a real potential problem. When I told him thanks for the quote, I'll talk to my husband and let you know which services we decide on, I got full on pressure to sign up right then and there. He's in my home, pressuring to get my credit card out!! I said um sorry, I need to discuss these kinds of costs with my spouse, again, we'll be in touch. At which he responds we offer financing, would 72 or 84 months be better? I said, AGAIN, I need to discuss first and we'll get back to you. At which he says, sorry but I need to call my boss. So I go in the other room, and can hear him She won't go for it. She has to talk to her husband apparently. Yes, I offered 72 and 84 month financing. No, I guess cost is a real issue and she won't sign anything until she talks to her husband. OK, i'll try again. At which he says maam, are you sure we can't sign you up today and I can begin work this morning??? WHAT????? Are you kidding me?!?! UNBELIEVABLE. I said you need to leave, we won't be needing your services. He reluctantly left and barely mumbled goodbye. Do yourself a favor and don't ever call them. I'd give them a negative rating, not 1 star, if I could.

Great service from Dave Brown. He was professional, courteous and explained things in a non pushy manner, which is so important to me. He even liked my dog! Thankyou for the great service.

This is a followup to a previous review concerning the service and installation of a new furnace, water heater and air conditioner by K & S Heating and Air Conditioning.
From the beginning, the furnace has worked very well, the water heater has a mind of its own - sometimes hot, sometimes cold water in the shower. The water heater has improved, however.
The air conditioner is a story in itself. It has to be the worst appliance I have ever purchased. From the beginning, it was noisy and rumbled throughout our bedroom and into the master bath. I complained from day one and K & S responded by messing with it probably three or four times. After that, we are on our own. K&S quit responding to my complaint. I think it has been in service for three years now and the noise level has changed rather dramatically. It's even louder! Last week we had guests in for dinner. As we dined pleasantly in the dining room - which is on the other side of the house from the bedroom and air conditioner unit outside - a guest asked, What's that noise? To which I replied, It's the air conditioner. If it gets any louder, the neighbors will be complaining ;-)
And that's the problem. We are stuck with an inferior product that continues to become more and more inferior as time passes.
Moral of the story? Don't purchase a Lennox, and don't count on K&S to make sure you have a quality product.

Beware of this company. Matt's Plumbing billed me for $385 for 20 minutes of time that required no tools. I e-mailed them and requested that they contact me to discuss the over charge and the have completely ignored me. I have reported them the BBB also.
