Best Pipe Repair in Sacramento CA

Better B Plumbing and Drain Plumbing Service
On the Wednesday before Thanksgiving my kitchen sink drain became totally clogged. Six other companies told me I would have to wait until Friday for service.  Then I called Brandon at Better B. He understood right away that I needed my kitchen sink working before Thanksgiving. He arrived several hours later and completely fixed everything. Highly recommended!

Jc Sewer & Drain Plumbing Plumbing Service
So grateful they were able to come out the same day I called. I called at 4pm and Jake was at my house within the hour. Our kitchen sink was backed up for a couple of days already and when I did a load of laundry I found out that drain was backing up too. James, the owner, also came out to assist with the problem. They were very friendly and did a great job. Cleaned up and everything. They also stayed until 8:30pm to finish the job. Gave us a fair price and discovered a problem we had with one of our pipes when they went into our crawl space. Definitely will call them back to fix it.

Us Trenchless Plumbing Service
If I could give zero stars, I would.  Long story short:  We bought an older home and asked our realtor to arrange a sewer inspection.  He chose US Trenchless.  They came out, said we needed a clean out, but otherwise our sewer line was A-ok. We paid for the sewer inspection through escrow but I think it was about $200.

Once we moved in, we got the clean out.  Then our toilets started gurgling every time we flushed them.  We called Trenchless back and they came out, and said that we need either descaling of old pipes or (preferably) a brand new sewer line.  Excuse me?  This was less than a month after they did the inspection in which they told us we only needed a clean out.  Abraham (the plumber)  then told us that our line was functional ---as long as we didn't flush toilet paper. I'm not sure about most people, but it seems to me that having a sewer line that doesn't allow flushing toilet paper is NOT functional.

In the meantime, we were left with a sewer line that doesn't work.  Abraham conveniently offered to replace the line entirely for about $20K or to descale it for $5K.  By that time, we knew that US Trenchless was not to be trusted, so we declined.  We called a retired plumber we know, who pointed out that if we descaled the line, we might as well just replace it, because it will need replacement sooner or later. He also told us that all of the big corporation  plumbing companies pay their technicians on commission, so the more they get you to agree to, the more they get paid.  He then gave us the names of five companies never to use because they price gouge.  Guess which company was on the list?

We also have another construction project that will involve a connection to the sewer line at some point, so we wanted our contractor's input on the entire project (and he happens to be out of town for a planned vacation).  In the meantime, we religiously threw away toilet paper (yuk) and used our dishwasher, garbage disposal, toilets, and sinks as little as possible.

Fast forward to today.  We noticed actual sewage coming up almost to the top of our clean out in the driveway.  My partner called US Trenchless to ask if they were willing to come out again to do another cleanout---considering they were the ones who told us that the line was (first) fine, and then (last week) functional (except for the small detail of not being able to flush toilet paper).

First, the man answering the phone started out by saying, You aren't going to get anything for free, and then proceeded to say we shouldn't be flushing toilet paper (yes, we know), and that we hadn't paid our bill for the first clean out (they had sent it to some email address that has only the vaguest of relationships to our actual emails).  Since my partner hadn't asked for anything free-- although it does seem as if they should be offering it--- his statement came out of nowhere, as a defensive comment when she began to explain our situation.

After being sure to clarify our real email addresses (only so he could later send a $500 bill for that first clean out), he proceeded to yell at my partner that, again, we weren't going to get anything for free, that it would cost a minimum of $500 for a clean out, that they had done nothing wrong, and that they stand by their inspection.  After he called my partner Darling, she ended the conversation.  I'm not sure you could get a more rude, insensitive, accusatory, sexist, or condescending person to be your customer service rep.

Since it was now a public health hazard (with sewage bubbling almost into our driveway), we called a plumbing company our neighbor had recommended (Five Star Plumbing), just to do a clean-out.  They came out promptly, did a clean out, and gave us some more recommendations to limp along with our sewer until our contractor gets home in three days (for Enquiring Minds:  run water before you flush, continue to run water in the sink after you flush, double flush, do anything you can to increase the amount of water in the line so that waste gets carried away in that flow).  Instead of the $500 US Trenchless charges for a cleanout, Five Star charged us $225.  They also gave us a rough bid of about $10k to excavate our driveway, and lay new sewer line.  US Trenchless had told us it would be $20k just to lay the line.

I don't have more to add to this, except to say BUYER BEWARE.  We have already told our real estate agent about our experience, and he told us that not only will he never use US Trenchless again, he will be sure that none of his associate realtors do either (and this is a very large real estate firm with many associate realtors).  He also told us that plumbers have licenses but are not regulated.  So please be careful with whatever these people say to you, and get a second opinion and price.  The last thing anyone needs when there is a sewer problem is a plumbing company that treats you as if you are sewage too.

Leo's the best - Helped me with a reno project in Davis, running a new waste pipe 40ft under my crawlspace as well as installing new water lines/vents/drains/etc.
Had 3 other plumbers give estimates, and Leo seemed to be the most knowledgeable and experienced by far.
Easy to get along with and the best part is that he suggests better or more practical alternatives to your project, and even improvements to your existing plumbing. Did not nickel and dime me for minor things. Reasonably priced, efficient, and professional.
Recommend without reservation.

Ted's Plumbing Plumbing Service
I had an emergency situation with some water leakage at my rental property... After a quick search online I decided to call Ted because he was local to my area in Roseville. I have to tell you I'm so glad I did because he came quickly, was very professional and a nice guy to boot. His prices are very reasonable and he got the job done in a timely manner. I have definitely found my go to plumber for future plumbing problems... and he gets my highest recommendation.

When Rescue Rooter wrote me an estimate for $350 (that's including a AAA discount) to fix a leaking shower, Greely Family wrote me a quote for about $215 (including parts). These guys are awesome and definitely worth hitting up :)

Stilwell Plumbing Plumbing Service
If you've been looking for an honest old fashioned plumber that actually figures out what you need as opposed to one that's been trained to sell parts and unneeded repairs this is the one. Joe showed up and handled both problems I had called about in less than an hour and was professional the entire time even while listening to an old retired guy rant on about today's problems in the world. I'm glad I read all the Yelp reviews on Stilwell Plumbing and made that call. Like I said , old fashioned and knowledgeable professionalism. Joes a second generation plumber in a field that's slowly dying. Thanks again Joe.

Paul did a thorough analysis of my pool and spa system yesterday and determined that I do not have a broken pipe. He did a few adjustments and we are now watching to see if I lose any more water. This morning, water level looks good! Paul is professional and gave me his cell phone number to give him updates.

I am impressed that he has 10 years of experience and even trains new technicians. Paul's customer service is exceptional and this company is lucky to have him.

Make sure you get your estimate in writing from Daniel. Don't trust his words. I learned it the hard way.

I trusted him -- scope of work and the price. Because it was an older house he wasn't sure how much it would cost upfront and said he will charge me reasonably by the hour. And gave me a rough estimate.

When he showed up at my door he said his wife asked him to increase the rate!

He said he wants THREE times the original estimate. Right before starting the job at the doorstep. He didn't even give me a couple of days notice.

I was upset and angry with him. And still am. I had already said no to a couple of other plumbers and was waiting to get the plumbing done so the the rest of my crew could continue.

Don't trust his words. Get the scope and price from him in writing. He will bully around and change things at the last moment and screw you over.

I honestly dislike leaving bad reviews on a Tradesman, and especially a local Tradesman... However, last year around this time I had Doug come out because my lower level addition toilet was backing up.   I showed him the cleanout for the toilet on the exterior wall and asked him if a 4 pipe that was at grade level with no cleanout cap was possibly the main cleanout?  I didn't know because there wasn't the standard cleanout cap and I wasn't a part of my homes remodel before we bought the home 6 years ago.  I was told by Doug that it wasn't the Main Cleanout and he was not sure what it was, even though it was 4 black pipe and inline with the city sewer tap and the side exterior of the house.  Doug decided to snake a camera down the 3 line through the 2 exterior wall cleanout from the toilet at the lower level.  He then used a signal device to tell me that my mainline had a belly in it and was causing the backup.  He said he would have to trench the entire old line and replace it with a new one for $5000 or dig where the belly was and splice  in a cleanout for less?  I said is it possible that I had some tree roots issues instead?  I had just cut down 2 40' hackberry trees from my front yard and one was about 5' from the mainline.  He said no?  He charged me $130 for the 30 minutes and left.  I got ripped off and here's why!  I ended going to HD and renting a 100' 5/8 snake and removed my toilet from my original bathroom that I know was tied into the main sewer line.  I rootered it myself for a couple hours and bore through a bunch of roots which eliminated my backup!  1 year later the problem reappeared, only this time I saw the sewage bubbling up from the 4 pipe that I was told was not my main cleanout!!!  So back to Home Depot and re snaked, all good again and I now have a cleanout with cap installed on the 4 pipe, so if I ever call Doug again...He will know right where to go?! Sheesh...maybe a little effort next time to help a neighbor out!  Tip: These State Street West Sac Homes in your neighborhood have similar plumbing.

Detail Plumbing Plumbing Service
This review is long overdue. Detail Plumbing has helped me twice now. I recently bought a house and realized the water heater was not working. Before going for any repairs, I normally get three quotes. First two plumbers told me that I need to change the water heater. That was a chock for me since the house inspection had the water heater in a perfect condition. My third plumber was Oly. He came to inspect and told me something was off. So there was nothing wrong with my water heater! He did not charge anything for the visit either. This time Oly came to check a leaking at my water heater valve. One of the other plumber mentioned adding hose bib cap. I didn't want a temporary fix, so I checked to see if someone from Detail Plumbing could come to help. Oly changed the faucet an charged me less than other quotes I had received. I'm pretty sure I can trust Detail Plumbing for any future plumbing issues.

Colin is wonderful! He was very responsive and knowledgeable. He is easy-going, explains what he's doing, keeps in touch with updates, and even fixed my leaky waterhose pipe before he left. I really appreciated his thoughtfulness. Plumbing and leak repair is a hassle and not cheap, but if you want excellent service, this is your guy!

Boyd Plumbing Plumbing Service
We have called Boyd's Plumbing for a couple of emergencies at our rental.  They came out that day or early the next.  Alex was our plumber.  He called to let us know what was going on, how much it would cost and when he could complete the work.  Alex went out of his way to get hot water for our tenant as soon as possible, which we really appreciated.  I trust them and am so glad to have found a competent and honest plumbing company to work with.

I have nothing but good things to say about the skilled service and customer service of these two guys who came and replaced my broken gas pipe. First, Tim came out and gave me a free estimate. He was thorough when describing what needed to be done. What type of material he was going to use and even how long he estimated the work would take to complete. Him and Sam were very professional, showed up 30 minutes before the scheduled start time. They were very respectful of my property, had great personalities, and even actually pretty funny. They did a great job of cleaning up after the job was completed, which was very impressive and highly appreciated. If you're looking to have a gas pipe line replaced knowing that the work will be done properly and you don't have to worry about any future leaks I highly recommend this company.
And just for reference I added a picture of the two fellas that came out to do the work .
