Best Bathroom Light Fixture Repair in Sacramento CA
My kitchen sink exploded last night when we were running the garbage disposal. I called one plumber who quoted $150 just to show up (it was a Saturday). I called Kyle and after describing the situation, walked me through how I could easily fix it myself. An honest plumber and handyman!! Through this small gesture, Kyle has won my loyalty for future services!

I sent a service request to several handymen on Yelp, including a picture of the project. Two handymen simply replied they were booked - whereas Sam took the time to look at the picture and suggest a remedy to try myself, even Photoshopping in a little arrow to clarify what he was recommending. Lo, it worked like a charm. That's a level of professional courtesy I cynically don't except to see these days, so I am both grateful and impressed. Thank you so much.

Unfortunately this was a disappointing waste of money. We hired Shah Sawar to install our new Nest thermostat. Before hiring him, we exchanged emails and showed him a picture of the Nest hardware. He assured us that he could do it, and we agreed to a price of $200.
Yesterday he came by to install it, but only installed two of the three pieces of hardware, claiming that the third piece was not necessary. Alarmingly, he then told us that if anything didn't work, he lived too far away to come back and fix it.
For the first ten minutes after installation the HVAC seemed to be blowing cold air, but very quickly that turned to fan only, with no cold air despite how low we set the thermostat. Within 30 minutes the Nest showed blinking signs indicating that the third piece of hardware needed to be installed.
When we called Shah, he said it was too far to drive, and that he was unable to install the third piece of hardware, and that we would have to hire an HVAC specialist to do it. The temperature here is very hot and uncomfortable and we were forced to, on our own, figure out how to uninstall the Nest and reinstall our old thermostat in order to turn back on the AC.
This entire transaction was an incredible waste of time and money. Shah did agree to refund $100, but kept $100 for his own time and effort. I believe that he should have refunded $150 at a minimum, because he had all the information up front about what hardware needed to be installed, and should have told us upfront that this job was too far away, and that he didn't know how to install all the equipment. So ultimately we have lost $100, had to do a lot of work ourselves, and now have to hire and pay someone else to install it properly.
I am giving two stars instead of one, because in person Shah is a nice man and an immigrant and I do feel badly for him. But I also feel like this could have been handled better by not taking jobs so far away from his home that he can't go back to fix issues, and by not taking jobs that he can't actually deliver on.

Definitely highly recommend! Truly honest, reliable, and professional service! Talked to Chris on phone, and site on seen seemed to be knowledgeable enough give me a pretty good idea of what it would need and take.
Nice to still be able to deal with companies that still carry all the above mentioned traits.
