Best HVAC System Maintenance in Reno NV

Before you read anything else, know first that this business has been suspended by the Secretary of State in California after 2006.  Nevada?  Also suspended there in 2004 for bouncing a check.  So while they have license numbers on their trucks, they are operating illegally in both states.  This is per public websites maintained by both states, so you can look it up.  Still want to use them?  Read on.

I first ran into these guys as they were doing a drain rebuild for a neighbor.  They seemed friendly enough and while looking for connecting sewer lines under our house, they found a leak in the shower drain by sound.  That was pretty awesome, and the guy I spoke with offered to fix it that day for $250.  That's high, so I told the guy I'd think about it and get back.  After deciding my personal fix-it plate was full, I contacted him back and the price turned into $330.  I called him out on that and it was back to $250.  To be fair, they did really good work and fixed it.

Away from town, the cleaning lady discovered a leak under the sink.  This time my fiancee called and talked with him.  He went by, to assess the situation and called out a leaking spray hose and a leak in the P-trap.  To fix all of that, he quoted her $965 including parts and labor.  There was $130 charge for going out to investigate.

I ended up using someone else.  The new faucet was $80 and it took 23mins to fix both issues.  If you are a woman, this is not the company to call because you will be price gouged.  If you're a dude, you won't be price gouged as much as a woman but you'll still overpay.  It was only after this experience that I decided to see who owned the business and subsequently found out their businesses are suspended in both CA or NV.  It's all making sense now.

I made a appt with them. I made it very clear it would take me 1 and 1/2 hours to get to the property where i needed them. I told them please if you can't make it let me know so i don't drive 3 hours round trip. I drive out there,  they called after my appt time and said they can't make it today.  Really? I was very upset..

I was referred to this company by one of the local commercial HVAC companies.  I scheduled them to look at a central humidifier and give an estimate for replacing or fixing it.  During the phone conversation it was never mentioned that they would charge to provide an estimate.  They showed up, spent about 20 minutes looking at the humidifier, told me it was broken and it would cost $1,000 to fix and charged me $80 for a service call. Needless to say, I was very upset that I had to pay $80 to have someone tell me it's broken (well no sh*t).  The technician had a really horrible attitude and so did the secretary when I called their home office.  Both responded with well do you think we work for free.  I dont expect people to work for free, but providing estimates is pretty much a industry standard since people shop and compare prices.  Estimates are not actually free since business include that in their operating expenses and their prices.  I read Yelp review all the time but this is the first Yelp review i have ever written, that's how strongly I felt about my experience.  Hope this helps someone steer clear of this company.
